hi guys welcome or welcome back to my channel am I sitting like really really close to you oh like really sorry but this is the only angle that could work today I'm filming this video today and I have to post it tomorrow a lot of you all have requested me to make a college Essentials video or like what to shop for college that is gonna be today's video I made a whole list of approx 30 items that you're gonna need I did my research watched a lot of YouTube videos some of these are from them and and a lot of these are from my own experience because I'm also in college and I live in Hostel okay so let's get started these things are not in a particular order so they're just like random stuff random important stuff that you're gonna need so first off very basically you're gonna need a lot of water bottles I would suggest you to bring three because you're gonna have to walk all the way across the hall to get water right so I would recommend three and remember to take the insulated ones with you then if you're somebody who's gonna have to share a bathroom with other girls other boys other people then I would suggest you to bring a shower bag in which you can put your toothpaste shampoo conditioner all of the essentials and then take it with you when you need to take a shower and then come back also do not forget your Essentials like toothpaste and stuff because when I went the first time I forgot to taste then you're gonna need a bucket and a mug that's a given then you're gonna need towels and blankets if you're going to somewhere where like it gets pretty cold I would suggest you to bring a thin blanket and a thicker blanket like two blankets and bring at least two towels with you sometimes you're gonna have to give it for a wash so it'll be great if you have to because like if you give one for the wash then you're gonna have the other one for yourself fifth so you're gonna need a table lamp if your hostel does not provide you with the light above your table my hostel does so I don't need to laugh but sometimes what's gonna happen is your roommates wouldn't wanna stay up late night or something like that and you would want to study for that time you're gonna need a table lamp because they will not let you keep the lights off then if you're a girl you're gonna need a heating pad or a hot so you're gonna have to do everything by yourself then you're gonna need bed sheets I would suggest you to bring three bed sheets with you because you're gonna have one on your bed two spare red cheese then you're gonna give that one for a wash use the other one like two bed sheets will also work but laundry usually takes like a week and stuff so I would suggest you to bring three bed sheets with you then bring an extension cord you're hostel if you're living in Hostel they might not allow it so you're gonna have to hide it pretty well then bring some tissue boxes with you I am currently out of those but I'm gonna order some from Amazon because tissue boxes will come really really really handy and bring a lot of hangers with you like a lot of hangers I brought like 285 hangers with me and they're still not enough you know so bring a lot of hangers then let's talk about mirrors if your hostel provides you with a full body mirror great if it doesn't first like check in with your wood and if they allow it or not I would suggest you to bring a full body mirror and a small mirror bring a medicine inbox with you with medicines for headache stomach ache fever cold cough savlon and the tolerance bring that with you because those are come in really really handy you will never know when you're about to get sick okay drink your medicine yes you bring them with you don't forget them like me then you're gonna need utensils okay for your tensors don't bring plates you're not gonna need them trust me because there's like every other hosteler you're gonna eat your Maggie straight out of the frying pan and if you think you know I would never do that live in a hostel and you know because you're gonna do that because you're gonna have to wash them wash the utensils by yourself and you're gonna be lazy bring bowls with I brought like three bowls with me so bring bowls and you can bring one to two glasses forks spoons a frying pan and that's literally it you don't need anything else I brought straws as well because you're like you all know my obsession with iced coffee you all know it and then to wash those utensils you're gonna need a dish soap and a scrub don't forget your scrubs okay I would like you guys to write these things down somewhere because I know that you think that you're gonna take a mental note but you're gonna forget a lot of it okay so just like write them down then if you're somebody like me and you love music listening to music bring a speaker hide it pretty well because they're not gonna allow it no Hustler loudspeaker okay first of all bring a mini speaker don't bring like the huge one okay I have the one from JBL I will link it down below got it from Amazon yeah you're gonna have to hide it nicely under all of your stuffs that they don't reach it and you're good to go even though I'm telling you that I have a speaker between my hostels caretaker watches my videos so yeah then if you're a girl you're gonna need a lot of hair ties or hair accessories or whatever you wear in your hair if you know me I am a clock lip girl if you are still allowed then bring some wall decor I bring RGB lights I have RGB lights secretly you know all you need are some pretty good hiding skills and you're good to go everybody does these things and hostels who doesn't the door of this room just opened up itself bring all of the documents with you like your other card your report card don't forget them you're gonna need migration certificate and like some other things if you're somebody like who loves to work out drinks or choose with you and bring sneakers separately if you don't like to work out just pink sneakers good to go but if you like to bring both of them bring a lot of socks okay I live in a single room and still I lost a lot of my socks and I only lose like one sock not the pair like I always lose one sock I have no idea where the other one goes bring a lot of socks because you're gonna lose a lot of socks I'm so sorry the lighting is just fluctuating okay for your stationery first off just check what you need for your course whatever course you're doing and if you need notebooks pens or whatever it is that you need bring from your own home because the stationery in colleges is expensive not just stationary you know everything in college is expensive okay so like try to bring from your own home they are not gonna need a lot of notebooks you know when I first first went I took like profile notebooks with me thinking oh I'm gonna make separate notebook for every stack even though I use my iPad only but for some subjects like matte I use a notebook so I like you're literally gonna need two notebooks for one cent Max two Max then bring like a lot of snacks you know like a lot of snacks if you live with roommates or if you're good they live with roommates your snacks will not be safe we will live in a single room they will last you very long like my snacks last me so long it's a good quality headphones will do you so much good you know I have the ones from both they're not very expensive and I love them because sometimes your roommates will be on a call or something like that and you'll be like okay I'm tired of this so you're gonna need your music okay so bring some good quality headphones airpods earbuds whatever you like bring your own pillows your college will provide you with the pillow but who knows how many people have slept on that and secondly I don't think you would want to sleep on that pillow just bring your own I brought three pillows with me and I've already lost the bed sheet and the pillow that was given to us by the hostel some they're gonna find me for that at the end of like my fourth year but I lost it already then if you want to bring like hair straighteners or like like a blow dryer first off get a mini straightener I have a mini one I'm literally revealing all my messages in this video I have a mini one bring a mini straightener I will link it Amazon and if you want to bring and I don't know please hide it really really really well really well okay don't leave it out in the open always hiding hide it if you want to bring like kettles or things like that people do bring that okay take them pretty well hide them pretty well okay because they're gonna cost you a nice Fortune up there if you get caught there are going to be mosquitoes bring all else with you okay mostly the beds that you'll be provided with will have storage space underneath them like they will have space underneath them so you can bring storage boxes to put under your bed and nobody's like even gonna know because the bed sheet will cover it so try to bring like storage boxes I have like two storage boxes with me so yeah and somehow still I don't have enough space By the way when I go back which I'm gonna go back in like first week of August I'm gonna make a room tour because I recently switched up rooms so I'm gonna make a room here for you so get excited lastly if you're somebody who loves to study on their bed bring a bed table or a bed tray whatever you want to call it bring a bed table because I am somebody who hates studying on their bed because I will always just fall back and start going on my phone I love to study on a table because of that but if you are somebody who's comfortable studying on the bed bring a bed table that will help you a lot those were all of the items that I think that you should bring if you think that there's anything else which is important please mention it in the comments now let's talk about what not to bring you know I only have like two things for that first off don't try to bring like a lot of Jewel jewelry because theft happens a lot in hostels so try to bring us less as you can I only had like two pieces of gel jewelry that I keep with me first off is this ring that I always always wear and then my earrings dad is all no other piece of jewelry I keep with me and then keep a decent amount of cash you know don't keep too much cash with you because again just like I told you theft happens and probably everything in your college is going to be like online JP and stuff such a spring like as less cash as you can and that was everything if I think that there's something else that you should bring I will mention it in the description box in the comments as well but these with everything for now hope you guys liked it enjoyed it and now I'm gonna have
