Scissors

  • Mayo Scissors
    • Types: Curved and Straight
    • Curved Mayo Scissors: Used for cutting heavy tissues (muscles, fascia, uterus, breast, foot).
    • Straight Mayo Scissors: Primarily for cutting sutures and dressings.
    • Feature: Blunt end to minimize tissue damage.
  • Mitzendam Scissors (Fine Scissors)
    • Characteristics: Long handle, short ends.
    • Used for cutting fine and delicate tissues.
    • Ends can be sharp or blunt.
