The Multifaceted Concept of Shalom

Royalty Power to the chosen people I have My word is Shalom and I think I've done this word before with you guys. Have I? Does anybody remember? Shalom. Shalom. Okay. I mean, I'm... Okay. So, I don't have the screen, so I'll have to do some editing. And if you want to see the letters, then we'll put it on the actual screen. So... Ari wants to say hi, so let me let her say hi, so she doesn't say hi 30 times. Okay, and Bailey's gonna say hi and she'll say it 30 times, so you better say hi too. Okay, so the word shalom is... spelled shin lamed vav mim okay the actual word shalom and so the root of that word is look at it's weird up here with no screen huh shin lamed final mim okay And so Shin, does anybody know who knows the alphabet? Okay. Lamed. Gold, staff, control, tort. Okay. Bob. Pig. Okay. And then Mem. Mem. Chaos. Okay. So I'll give you guys a brief definition, and then we'll work with the broader definition. Can you grab that verse for me? And then... expect it in Jeremiah okay so the word you see it sometimes above can split a word and it doesn't always join a word kind of works in twofold Shannon Lama so it means to be separated by the ox goad or by the Shepherd staff so you ever seen sheep you know you'll move some over to this side some over so it separates right and then above it can be and add or and right or to separate or to fasten to chaos right so when we say shalom everyone's like shalom shalom shalom shalom and you're like peace peace peace it means peace but in a western sense you don't really understand what peace means because peace is not always bestowing something on somebody but it can also be taken away okay because to bring balance if you've seen scales sometimes you can have too much on one side and you have to move some to the other side or sometimes you have too little and you have to do so it deals with both so yah because he understands peace perfectly he deals on both ends of peace so people are like i'm in this walk and i have no peace And I'm like, well, it depends. How imbalanced are you? And on what end? Do you need more or do you need less? Do you need chastisement or do you need nurturing? Because he's going to give you whatever you need in the direction that you need it, right? So the verse in Jeremiah, and I think Maury is pulling it. 29-11. Jeremiah 29-11. And I'll find it on here. You have a Bible in here? Yeah, you do. So if you have your manuscript, can you turn to Jeremiah 29-11? And I'm going to. I'm going to show you how Yah can use peace in a way that will just flabbergast most of us. Okay, so Jeremiah 29, what happens is they're getting ready to go into captivity. Right? So Jeremiah, who's talking to the people, and he's giving them like a little pep speech. I don't know how you get a pep speech going into captivity. Right? It makes absolutely no sense to our minds through our vantage point. Right? So he says, in his pep speech, he goes, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, sayeth Yahuwah, thoughts of peace, and not of evil to give you an expected end. And you're like, but you're sending us into captivity with people who don't like us and they're getting ready to torture us a little bit. So how do you have peace toward us, thoughts of peace and not evil because what you're doing looks really evil, right? And he goes to an expected end. So the word peace here, he uses shalom. So peace has to do with two things, two words. And peace has to deal with, ooh, this is fancy. Okay. Okay, so peace has to do with the word... Oh, I was like, it's backwards. Okay, so shalom, we read this way. Okay, right? And shalom has to do with this idea of restitution or restoring something to a proper balance. The other word is the word dam, the word for blood. Does anybody know why dam and shalom would go together? Blood and peace. It makes no sense, right? Okay, but we are in Jeremiah, so we don't know that yet. So how would those two things go together? Right? Nope. Right? So when blood is shed, right, it silences the life of the person. So it... causes peace. Because peace sometimes can be silent, right? On the other side though, it deals with this idea of it causes peace to be restored. So if blood is shed, right, then there has to be something that happens to bring balance to that right so what happens with yah in jeremiah 29 11 is this he said i have thoughts of peace toward you he's talking about restoring things to a proper balance because they violated three natural they've created three imbalances they created imbalance when they were in the land and were sinning against him between them and their brother because they shed blood in the land they killed their babies and they sacrificed them to mullet right and then by doing that then they cause imbalance in the land because it said the land cries out when these things happen so now the blood of the people is crying out it's in the ground so the ground is crying for restoration and then you broke your covenant with yah so you're threefold out so he goes look i have a plan for peace for you not evil i have to kick you out of my way land because my land needs to rest because you have defiled it so I have to bring the land to balance so that it can house you because as long as you're here and you have created the imbalance the land is going to bring charge against you and I can't ignore it right so you have to get on my land you cause you sin between you and your brother so I have to persecute you because persecution brings you together because you guys are all out of line so I'll bring balance or restitution between you and and your brethren by persecution. And then lastly, I'll bring you back into my land and I'll restore my covenant. So then I'll bring you back to shalom. So instead of separating you or adding chaos, I'm going to separate you to my instruction or to my rule. And then you'll be able to come back into land and you'll get your expected end. Right? Does that make sense? Okay, that's all I have. Amen. Good job. Team. Royalty, powers of the chosen people
