hell you think you got a level one you're welcome you're welcome here's another glimpse in the life of mr seldom on a mission to heaven so he could tell me well done he got all my secrets he promised he'd never tell none [Music] what's good everyone is jamal hockey channel dedicated to helping individuals unlock the will to conquer imagination and if you truly believe in self as well as the content being posted here on this channel then we can indeed help turn the usu into something more valuable now i know y'all see a little subtle changes around here a little bit more brightness perfect boy got some scrub zone in the video and i know y'all see the title so we about to just go ahead and jump into it now i'm kind of scripting this and freestyling this at the same time this ain't my first rodeo talking about ati content how to get a level three on on your ati information listen there's been people hitting me up in the comments section hitting me up in the emails they're like yo jamal your information helped me pass ati on the cms perfect your information helped me get a level three perfect i'm not trying to brag on myself at the end of the day i know my information probably didn't help someone at the end of the day because look i'm a flawed being but at the end of the day i know the stuff that i'm dishing out it's barbecue chicken and if you really want to take advantage of this barbecue chicken you got to hit your boy up now i'm only gonna be pumping out more content so far i did nursing care children the most recent one i did was um pharmacology how to get a level three now i'm about to dive into my favorite subject right see i went into the psychiatric field i am a psych rn perfect right hold on hold on y'all won't prove y'all won't they want proof they won't prove what's that what they say they say rn all right i didn't get there overnight but what i chose to do i chose to do psychiatric art you know nurse right and so don't you think i know a thing or two about mental health don't you think hmm even if you ask me hey jamal what level did you make on your mental health ati i'm gonna be real with y'all mental health was like the second quarter it was super early on no one really knew about ati or anything of that nature so i'm gonna let y'all know i got a level one at the time keyword at the time i did mental health last year early last year so this was way back but asked me what i could get now i'm telling you right now i don't even go nothing below 90s on mental health so who you going to listen to about getting that level 3 you're you gonna listen to your boy now let's go ahead and just dive into it now this is going to be a short video i'm gonna try to make it short it's not gonna be long or stop it but the information that i'm able to give y'all in terms of documentation from psychotropic drugs different drugs from the documentation from word document notes from the pdf i'm gonna give you a lot for a pretty reasonable price hit me up i'm gonna leave it all in the comment section you go already know off rip so number one it's something similar to what i talked about already i'm gonna let you guys know you kind of gotta read slash skim through the book read slash skim through the book right the mental health book now i'm gonna go ahead and let you know if you ain't got enough time or you don't like reading don't waste your time don't skim through the book the next two points i'm going to touch on is going to cover a lot of things that you're going to need to focus on but for the people say i want to make sure i cover all my peoples for the people that got time today i got time cuz you want to read that book right and just to come ahead and help you out because i'm a nice guy i want to help you out i'm trying to help you guys get a level 3 level 2 whatever you try to get i'm trying to help you pass so here's some chapters you kind of want to focus on you want to focus on chapter three i do believe that's like effective um communication right therapeutic communication hold on we gonna touch on that later you want to focus on chapter four you want to focus on chapter 11 through 19 11 through 19 that's kind of touching on your disorders many different personality disorders mental illnesses and things of the nature right diving more in depth into those things right so you want to learn more about those things because you're going to get questions on them you want to be able to distinguish and um you know differentiate between different personality disorders you want to be able to differentiate between certain mental disorders that you're dealing with um certain psychotic disorders that you're dealing with when you're talking or dealing with certain patients right how do you know how to treat a certain person if you don't even know what disorder they may be dealing with and then i put 21 as a chapter but really from there everything's kind of a free fall after 21. so those are solid chapters that you can easily focus on if you choose to decide to skim through the book now they kind of cover a lot reason why i said 21 i don't think i explained it it's because 21 and count a little bit chapters ahead of this focus a little bit and a little bit on the medications used to treat certain disorders not necessarily medications used to treat personalities that's different personalities is something that you kind of treat with therapy you don't really necessarily treat with um medication you can kind of regulate and help people but personality is behavioral the second point and this is your bread and butter right this is what you need to focus on every single ati video i do and every single other ati i do going forward i'm gonna say the same damn thing on this part you gotta do practice questions like how in the world you think you go past if you ain't gonna do practice questions come on come on talk to me i literally had people talk to me i'm talking about people that i know they say hey yo jamal i didn't study yo jamal i went into the the cms and i bombed it no jamal i got a level one nope why the hell you think you got a level one you didn't do no practice questions you didn't study you didn't read the book you didn't do anything you're gonna get what you're gonna get so listen to me i don't know how many times i got to tell you people you got to do practice questions listen so how you gonna do it i've already talked a lot about this in other videos but i'm gonna run down there really quickly just in case that this is the first video you ever clicked on for me you're gonna want to do two major things with the practice questions really three so the first one is dynamic quizzes so you're going to go to dynamic quizzes by clicking on the test tab within ati and from there you're going to see something related to like quizzes dynamic right you will click on dynamic quizzes in order to help you get to you being able to do practice questions now if you only want to just purely focus on mental health because again this is a mental health ati right how to get a level three go to create new custom quiz and you're going to scroll down to where you can see mental health and you're going to select mental health to focus on all 399 questions of mental health that's under dynamic quizzes alone but hey jamal i did all those what's next go to the standard quizzes right it's in the same area where dynamic quizzes is instead of clicking on dynamic quiz go to standard quizzes there's like two to three other mental health related standard quizzes that you could take hey jamal i did hey jamal did that already what's next okay why don't you do the practice a and practice b assessment for your cms mental health right knock those out hey jamal i did those okay what you can do is you can go on the focus review for the practice assessments a and b that you did and focus on subject matters that you got um the most incorrect does that make sense if you just struggling on certain subject areas you know those different topic points within the um focus review after you finish taking the um stuff that your teacher makes you make you do remediation on yes look at that stuff it's super important you can see the topics that you missed that you may be struggling on because why because by focusing on those things it helps ensure that you're able to pass the actual cms exam on your first try trying to get a level three oh my goodness and another thing i didn't touch on when you're doing these practice questions and dynamic quiz make sure you're doing these things on study mode why is that important it's super important to do these things on study mode because it allows you to be able to look at the um how do you say the rationale of the questions right it doesn't matter whether you get it correct or incorrect what you want to be able to do is look at why the answer is correct and why certain answer choices is incorrect what this does is it helps you lock in and focus in on the information that you're actually trying to learn so when you come across another question in the future you're able to say you know what i've seen this before i'm able to get this correct now so i learned from my mistakes from the previous time i answered this question so now i'm gonna make sure i get this right the first time i answer it perfect does that make sense and when you're doing these practice questions make sure you do anywhere between 50 to 75 questions a day i think that's pretty manageable and if you can't do that try to lean more closer to the 50. all these things is gonna guarantee you getting a level three and the third and final point i'm gonna call this the speed round and reason why i'm gonna call this the speed realm is because really mental health i'm be honest ain't that deep nope like in terms of mental health the actual subject is deep perfect but in terms of the focus and ati and how many questions that you may get and the number of uh mental health questions that you me you may get onto any plexus they don't go that deep into i'm gonna be honest they'd be disrespecting it but i'm gonna go ahead and let you know this the speed realm and a lot of this stuff if it ain't covered in the speed round it's covered in the documentation so number one know your psychotropic drugs and common side effects super important you need to know your common side effects of things like um close uh colossal pain your benzos uh common side effects xanax um zyprexa um um all these different types of drugs um you name it um how doll you name it you need to make sure you know your generics too you don't need to just know the brand name because you're not gonna get tested on the brand name you need to know your generics for the drugs so make sure you know your psychotropic drugs and common side effects right um things in relation to a decrease in blood pressure for things in relation to like benzos um knowing um about um sudden uh abrupt abruptly stopping the medication could trigger seizures um and knowing that um you know things like benzos is used to kind of help manage um seizures or help decrease somebody or getting seizures things of that nature it's so many things to cover with the drugs but know that if you can understand like the common side effects they're all pretty similar so anytime you come across a mental health drug you can typically get that answer correct if it's farm farm-related in relation to your mental health cms um the next thing to focus on know your expected findings from alcohol and opiate intoxication right you're going to get questions on those so you might as well go ahead and understand like okay alcohol opiates associated with mental health what happens when people are intoxicated on either of the two um so for example if someone's using an opiate such as heroin and they have like they come into the um er with heroin intoxication what would be um a common side effect or something to uh that would be considered an expected finding you can say respiratory depression that's pretty easy right but you're going to get questions on those so you got to look out for those what's another speed round understanding therapeutic communication super important so with that one i'ma keep it nice and simple avoid questions or avoid answer choices that start with why any answer choice that start with why you don't pick it it's never the correct answer i'ma be real with you nope also avoid answer choices that is a closed-ended question what's the example of a close-ended question jamal a close-ended question is typically a question that when you ask it the only answer that the patient can give you is a yes or no to it right you won't open any questions because it leads to dialogue it leads to you getting more information especially if you're doing an assessment again how can you get more information if you're doing close ended questions you got to do open-ended people right and what's another one um understanding positive and negative symptoms of psychotic disorders right being able to separate the two you will get questions on those such as is this a negative or positive um psychotic disorder symptom right for example like hallucinations i think that would be considered a positive symptom for a psychotic disorder um but something negative would be like um something the one that starts with the a that leads to like um or that means like a decrease or a lack of energy i don't know how to say my stuff right now i'm going off the top of the head but keep in mind i know what i know barely that's pretty much it that i want to focus in on the video but before we leave i do want to show you guys something i'ma give you a sneak preview at what you will be getting it's four documents all of it's fire and if you truly want it hit your boy up i got the rates and all that stuff in the comment section hit me up in the email section all right so right now what we see on the screen is we see an example of again this is nothing really too new from something that i've already done before with my notes so how i do my notes i highlight certain things that's important by the end of the day if it's on there all of it's important so what you want to do is with these four documents i know there's three but reason why there's four is there's a pdf version but there's also a word document version of this and reason why i make it a word documentation version of this is so you can edit it and make changes and add information to it so i make it to where you can add information to it guys the next is i put it like a slideshow or um a scan of different drugs hint in on this um slide as well um these are just super important because they give you a quick snapshot of certain special considerations to consider which you may get questions on these the purpose of the drug by knowing that you can know like oh this drug is good for someone who's suffering with depression someone who's suffering with anxiety and another one is a super amazing dope psychotropic drug information once again this helps touch on many different drugs from your ssris to your tricycle uh your your the ones that has to try in it right uh your mao eyes and also your benzos so things of that nature right this right here goes through all of it right this is just a quick snapshot i beg your pardon this your boy jamal hockey channel dedicated to helping individuals unlock the will to conquer imagination and
