Bowman 2025 Release Overview

Hey everybody, welcome back to the brand new release preview video. It's time for 2025 Bowman. A lot of you have been waiting for this. Some of you love this the most out of any product of the year, especially if you like prospecting and you like collecting those upand cominging young stars. So, we've got three boxes we're doing in this video. Not one, I'm doing three. So, we're going to get a good idea of what you can find in a hobby box. Now, these hobby boxes were released on Top's website today at noon for $250 a piece. $250. There's eight cards per pack. 24 packs in a box and one guaranteed autograph. Also, I've got videos coming up with blaster boxes. See right there? Right there. Got a whole bunch of blasters coming your way. We've got a bunch of jumbos with three autographs coming your way. Those videos will be coming up tomorrow and Friday. And we also have the Breakers Delight boxes. So, a whole bunch of 2025 Bowman pre videos. We'll roll them roll them out one per day and see what this product holds. Also, we'll be ripping a bunch of these tonight on whatnot. So, check us out. We're going to go live as soon as I'm done with this video. I'm going live on whatnot for the rest of the evening. So, this first box here is for Talia Koff. Talia, thank you very much. Let's get right into it and tell you a little bit about this product. So Bowman of course is known for the home of the prospect and there are 250 total cards in the set. 100 cards are the veterans and the rookies and then you have 150 of the prospects. So we're just going to go ahead and do a good oldfashioned super rip of these because we are covering a lot of ground. I'm going nice and slow through these so we can show them to you. But the big names to look out for, Charlie Condan is the big chaser. However, Condan has kind of fallen off just a little bit because of injury. He had a really bad 2024. He hasn't played yet this year. He was the number three overall pick in last year's draft. So, he's a good one. And also, Jesus Made is a big one from the Brewers. A lot of people have him number one. And another big one to look out for is from the St. Louis Cardinals, JJ Weatherhalt. So those are the big three. However you mix it up, Jesus Mday, JJ Weatherhol, Charlie Con. There's some nice honorable mentions to round out my top five. You've got Kevin McGonagal from the Tigers, Thomas White from the Marlins, and Slade Caldwell fighting it out to be in the top five from the Diamondbacks. Those are some good names. So here we go. Also, as you know, we are looking for the Red Rookies, Red Rookie Redemption Program. I do like the design. The design is pretty nice. First Bowman in the corner right there. We'll have some papers and a couple chrome cards per pack. Got a rock star of Spencer Swelling back right there. Two chromes per homie pack on average. And looks like they're looking pretty nice. Sometimes you'll get chromes and they'll be roller lines on them. So, always like to look at that quality control to make sure it's all checking out. There's Matt Olsen, Emanuel Class A. We got a Tink Hence in the top 100. Aiden Miller right there. One auto per box. We'll see what that auto is going to be. There's Jackson Merrill. He should be back soon for the Padres's. There he is. JJ Weatherhold. I believe he was like the college batting champion. So, this is a good one right here. You can pull a JJ Weatherhold autograph. We're going to try it tonight. We'll see if we can do it. There's Aaron Judge. Mike Trout backto back. Also, we'll keep an eye out on how many numbered cards we can find in these. Here we have a mini diamond. It is not numbered of Jacob Breahan. There's Blake Walters right there. Hagen Smith, TK Scubal, the Saw Young Award winner last year, Jackson Holiday. And there we go. We've got our first autograph. It's Ombberto Cruz is auto numero first Bowman auto. Alberto Cruz. Unfortunately, it's not numbered, but we'll still take it. Bryce Rener, he was a big name in Bowman draft for the Tigers. Mitch Jeb, that's his first bone. We've been seeing Mitch Jeb a good bit in Leaf products. And there's Thomas White. We mentioned his name. He's pretty good. Maybe the best pitcher in this release. Thomas White first right there. Travis Bazison, the number one overall pick last year. There's Gil Gary Gilhill. Man, what a cool name. Gary Gilhill. Like it. and Leo Dice to wrap up that one for Talia. All right, Talia, let's check out your next pack or the next stack here. So far, we have hit no numbered cards. Did have the mini diamond parallel. That was about it. I've heard good things about bow and blaster boxes. I'm going to really look forward to tearing into those probably this weekend. I think my schedule is jumbo tomorrow, Breakers to Light Friday, and Blasters on Saturday. So keep an eye out at Target and Walmart this weekend whenever yours stocks because these bone blasters are going to start showing up. Here we go with the next one. There's the Yamamoto. We got a Thomas Sigasi. It's going to be one of those rookie of the year favorites. And these are diecut cards. It's pretty cool. And let's see what else. Sim Visayio Sadon Raphaela. Riff Ryan rookie card. I think that's the first time seeing him. And Chase Burns was number two overall pick in the draft last year. Typically what Bowman does is they hold the number two pick, hold him back like they did with Dylan Cruz. They don't put him in Bowman draft. They sim for flagship Bowman. But however, this year they put the number three guy as the big chase from this Charlie Conan. There's Noble Meer first numbered card. It's numbered to 25 on the top 100. There he is. Jesus Mday first. Boom. This kid's only like 18 years old and he's got all the makings of a big time star. So that is man if we can find a Jesus mate auto or parallel we're in the money. Christian Moore is a really good prospect. He was one of the top guys from 2024 Bowman draft. This is numbered out of just 25 on the orange shimmer. So not too shabby at all. There's Gary Gilhill again. Jay Young. No red rookie redemption yet. Got to keep a keen eye out for those. They will be on the chromes. Hope I don't miss it. That could happen. We got maybe another numbered card coming up. There's Kyle Teal. First time seeing him in a white socks uniform. Looks like he's screaming there. And we've got a greatness loading JJ Weatherhold. There he is again. And here is Fernando Cruz. Good prospect right there, Fernando Cruz. And it is unfortunately not numbered right there. So Fernando Cruz and Connor Griffin is coming up next. Got the Connor Griffin right there. and base papers back end. Trying to take a look at if we have any info on the odds of these parallels. Looks like we do not. Man, the Becket Beckett's uh falling off a little bit. A lot of times you can they'll say like here's your odds or at least here's the list of parallels. We don't even have that on Becket. Come on Becket, let's go. Here's our next one for Talia. Next stack here. see what we've got going on next. I want to look up that Fernando Cruz and see what that is known as. Like some sort of serpent skin parallel. All right, here we go. Jesus Mday again. So two of him. Nick Curts, he's up in the big leagues now. Kumar Rocker rookie card. You'll see him likely in the series two. And there we have Jacob Wilson, rookie card. Rockstar Jacob Wilson. He is the favorite right now for the American League rookie of the year. And the way he hits, he's got a good shot to get. He never strikes out. Always puts the ball in play. Could be an easy over 300 hitter. I think it's Bryce Harper looking for our next hit. I see a mini diamond coming down the pike here. Sever King pretty decent prospect. Lass Ramontes. Cold Emerson VIP and Brilen Payne is going to be our next hit. It's going to be one of the mini diamonds on that one. Cool Emerson, Kyle Tucker. There we go. We got one. So, it may be one red rookie per box. The red rookie redemption program, if you don't know what it is, I talked a little bit about it. And basically what it is is if your red rookie redemption player that you have, if he ends up winning the rookie of the year, this card is worth 100 bucks. If he goes on to win a Sai Young award, goes to 300. Second Sai Young or MVP, 500. Third, 700. Goes to the Hall of Fame, $1,000. So, some people like it, some people don't. I am just worried that, you know, it's going to drive up box prices a little bit. And this card here is kind of ridiculous cuz Drew Thorp played enough last year, he's not even eligible for the Rookie of the Year award. He's got a big asterk next to his name. So, this is kind of dumb that since he was a rookie last year, he's not eligible. So, why even give him a red rookie? That card for me is worthless. It'll never be worth $100. It'll never be worth 300, 500. If he goes to the Hall of Fame, it'll never be worth anything no matter what. But to for it to be worth money, they do have to win the rookie of the year or else it's not worth anything. So, for example, if you get a Jacob Wilson red rookie redemption, he somehow loses the Rookie of the Year award. But he goes on to be a three-time MVP and a Hall of Famer. Doesn't matter. It's not going to be worth any of those 300, 500, 700, or $1,000. They must win the Rookie of the Year to continue on through. I just am a little worried about it driving up box prices. Nope. In the end, it might not because maybe none of those guys that have red rookie reds will win the rookie of the year and then it won't be won't really even mean anything. But here we go with our next one. So, we may get one red rookie per box. We'll see. We have three hobby boxes in this video. So, we got you covered. We've got a greatness loading Brooks Lee card right there. It's a cool insert card. Brooks Lee rookie card. Randy Rosena. And here's our next hit, Malcolm Moore. First purple number 250. So Malcolm Moore, love the first chromes. And especially nice that they are numbered. So if you're keeping track at home for your numbered stuff, that is numbered card number three. Numbered card number three to go along with the autograph. Not too Not too shabby. Not too bad. So we wrap up this box. Robert Kalas right there. No Charlie Condan yet. So, good thing I'm doing three boxes so we can have a chance to find him. Holidays, open all year cards. So, looks like Jackson Holiday may be opening a card shop. That'd be pretty cool. If he did, I would have to make a make a trip there. I like that card. Holidays open all year cards. See what else we've got from the rest of these. There's Kevin McGonagal. He's one of the big names that you got to put in your head. Luis Helkuna. First time seeing him. I guess he was in uh Heritage, but he was not in series 1. So that's Ronald Akunia Jr.'s little bro. And we've got Fabian Lopez in there as well to wrap up that one for Talia. So Talia, thank you very much. We're just getting started. We've got two more of these boxes. Let's do a bigger sample size here since hobby is a pretty popular option. Again, you have hobby, you got jumbos, you've got the breakers delights, you've got the blaster box. There's no fat packs this year. So, I would expect these packs, by the way, if you're going to a hobby shop, if these are 250 per box, there's 24 packs, you're probably going to pay about 12 to $15 per hobby pack on these at your LCS somewhere there. Most shops will probably have them at 15. All right, here we go. By the way, this next one is for Glenn Lang. Before we get into showing any of the autographs or anything, let's show you Glenn's name. All right, Glenn, we're rooting for you. How about a Jesus Mday auto? JJ Weatherhold auto. Charlie Condan auto. We'll take one of those. Here we go for Glenn. In box number two, got Jackson Job Rockstar insert card. Looking for a Crystallized card as well. There's a new insert set called Crystallized. It looks pretty nice. Otanis Showtime Showcase. So, man, I'd love to see him open a card store. I like the 89 Bowman in the background on sale at Otan's card shop. Otani with another home run the other night. 117 miles an hour off the bat. Man, is he ever good. Nothing yet of note. We got another mini diamond coming up. It's going to be Luke Sennard. It's his first Bowman card. Luke Sinard right there. There's another Lux on Helkunia. And we've got a PJ Morlando. First Bowman Chrome. Looks like it's going to be a speckle number to 299 for Glenn. So Glenn, congratulations on that. PJ Morlando, taking a look at the back of the card. He was a first round pick, 16th overall. So that's a big hit right there. A firstrounder, 16th overall pick. Marlins usually suck in team breaks. Nobody ever wants the Marlins. But with Bowman involved, they've got some good ones. Thomas White and PJ Morland. So that's a good hit right there for Glenn. Glenn, congratulations on that one. Really nice card right there. We take a look at the rest of these. Nothing else in that stack. On to our next one here for Glenn. Still no Charlie Condan fighting. By the way, I hope I'm sounding better. I've been sick for the last few days. Ever since our Sunday stream, went to bed and woke up with a scratchy throat, but I've managed to sleep it mostly off. So, that's good because tonight we're going to be live probably seven hours with you busting Bowman. And also, we have a big big promo coming up for for Mother's Day and Father's Day. There's Jackson Joe die cut. Very nice rookie die cut right there. We're giving away $500 on Mother's Day and we'll do the same for Father's Day. Here's Christian Campbell. Basically, what we are doing is we are looking for it doesn't have a rookie logo on there, unfortunately. You'll probably see Christian Campbell's rookie card if you're wondering because you're like, "Oh, Christian Campbell, he's really good player." his rookie card for Bowman will probably be in Bowman Chrome. We saw that happen with guys like Luis Robert and stuff like that. Um, just think like uh 2024 Bowman Paul Skins. Remember Paul Skins had a prospect card in there and then he had his rookie card in Bowman Chrome, his MLB rookie card for for Bowman. But anyway, give away $500. There's Zary Hope numbered to $4.99. We'll take that one for Glenn. All you got to do to get $500 on our Mother's Day stream and whatnot is find a Mother's Day to 50. I'll have flagship Toms products in every single round. If you find a pink Mother's Day to 50, you win. Here we have the Bowman Refractor. Man, that's pretty cool right there. Bowman refrator. Take a look at that. Really, really nice. It's not numbered, but I don't have the odds on this one, but we did not find one in the other box. So Hayden Alvare's first Bowman refractor. We'll take that. The Bowman logo refractorized in the background. Luan Helkuna. I love this name. Ichiro Canó Hernandez. Look at this. So his dad must have been the biggest baseball fan ever. Maybe he was uh maybe Ichro Canó Hernandez was born when Ichro was on the Yankees. And he's got Icho and Cano in the name. That is pretty freaking crazy. What a name. There's got to be a little more information on the back about that one, but recognizable first name came from father's Japanese friend, not the baseball superstar. Really? Wow. So, it has no tiein. I wish it would have. All right. Here comes the cough. All right. I apologize for that. Quickly got a quick drink and we're back to back to this. Let's get to this other stack. But like I said, every now and then I get this coughing attack. I don't know if it's allergies or or what, but when you have four kiddos, they're always bringing home illnesses and stuff like that from school. Here's this next one for Glenn. Let's see. Rockstar Kobe Mayo. Haven't seen the red rookie yet in here. Interested to see if there is indeed one per box. There's Jack Kaggleon. He's a big name. Jack Kaggleon. Cooper Pratt right there. Mini Diamond. Kyle Dearge. First Bowman. Mini Diamond. We'll get that sleeved up. Dylan Cruz rookie card. Hey, look. There he is. High Kim. I don't know what happened today. I was on Top's website. I bought some of his Tops Now card for his first major league hit. They canceled both my orders on me. I don't know what happened. Said, "Sorry, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we're canceling and refunding your orders." So, I don't know what that was all about. I bought 10 of the cards and they gave it all back. But the red rookie, that's pretty nice. Maybe, you know, he's just breaking into the big leagues now. Speedster guy, Glenn Lane, hang on to that. See if you get 100 bucks for it. Those cards should never be worth over $100. I'll tell you that. I wonder what that goes for by the way. Like what's a red rookie going for right now? Are people overpaying for these because honestly, if you can maybe at one per box, if you can get 20 40 bucks for that, it might be worth just selling it immediately. 2025 Bowman red rookie Kim. Let's see. Let's see what people are asking for. Holy crap. $67. I just first one. What? Wow, you can get some good money for these. So, this one here that we just pulled currently has bids and it's at60. It's at $67 and there's people listing these for over 100. So, if I were you, I would sell it immediately right now. Chances are high is not going to win the rookie of the year. And see, that's pretty crazy. I'll show you right now what I'm looking at. So, I see this one has still two hours left. It's at 67. The one right below it is buy it now at 130. So here's my advice. Get one of those, sell it immediately and get some free money. And they are selling for upwards of $100 and even more. Look at this. $175 sold. $134 sold. Do people really think it's worth that much? This is what I was a little worried about with this red rookie redemption that it was going to inflate the box prices. So, there you have it. My advice to you is if you pull a red rookie redemption, go and sell it. I mean, that almost pays for the whole box right there. 175 bucks. At best, he wins the rookie of the year, which your odds of that happening are probably like, I don't know, 5% for $100. If he doesn't win the rookie of the year, that card is going to be worth maybe a couple bucks, I think, at most. It is, you know, a parallel of sorts. There is James Wood, but after he is not the rookie of the year or after it becomes apparent that someone else is a guaranteed slam dunk favorite, I think that that card will be worth much much less. We got D'Angelo Ortiz number 23 50 right there. See what else we got. Bobby Wit Jr. The design's pretty nice. Reminds me a bit of 2022 Bowman. This design Sebastian Walcott. We got another parallel here. Jacob Wright, first Bowman. And there's JJ Weatherhold coming back once again. So Glenn had a nice box. Thank you, Glenn. Congratulations on your first round autograph right there. PJ of Morlando. Very, very nice. All right, we got one final one here. That's for Al Mitchum. Again, doing three boxes to get a good idea of what you can find out of this product. 2025 Bowman. Oh, there you get a little take a look. Get a look at the little behind the scenes. Stacks of cards all over the place down here in the basement. The old warehouse. We're in the warehouse right now. All right, here we go with our last box for Al Mitchum. Good luck, Al. Let's see what we can find for you in our final box of this preview video. Now, so we're getting three autos here. In the jumbo boxes, you're going to get three autos in one box. Go. This is kind of a little exercise here. Would you rather spend 520 on a jumbo and get three autos or would you rather spend 750 on hobby and get three autos? Let's see if there's a red rookie redemption in every box. Maybe. Especially if there's only going to be like maybe one red rookie redemption in the jumbo. We'll find out tonight. I'm not gonna I'm not going to film those other preview videos until tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday. Let my voice recover a little more. There's Yum Lin on the mini diamond. And here's our next one. It's Luis Pñena. So Luis Pena right there again. Sorry, had to take another quick cough break. Number 2499. Sasaki's strikeout showroom. Spencer Jones in there. And Ed Glean Perez is the last one for Al. All righty, Al. Let's see what we've got in our second stack. No numbered cards yet outside of the auto. Luis Pñena right there. For a second there, I thought it was Jesus Mad, which would have been absolutely crazy. Was trying to keep it together and keep that cough down until that auto was revealed. Here's our second stack here. Jackson Joe rookie card. I can't wait to see who the next Redemption is. Ben Ben Rice. We've got an Andrew Morris on the pink wave number to 199. First Bowman. There's James Wood. Another good one right there. This is going to be interesting on whatnot tonight. I'm having trouble getting through a 25m minute video here without coughing. Marcos Torres, first Bowman. And we've got Jeffrey Rodriguez in there as well with two stacks left to go in this 2025 Bowman preview video. What do you think of this product? I like it. It's grown on me. I think right now I'm probably giving it a solid B+. Rockstar Connor Norby right there. Leo Dere Cruz Capital Cards and Collectibles. Cool name. Dylan Cruz also selling 89 moment at his card shop. If you're a former major leager, that would be a nice one. Here's a spotlight. Man, these are nice. Spotlights. They used to be pretty common in Bowman products, but then they became much more rarer. So, a Bowman Spotlight Jacob Wilson is a great hit for Al. Thanks, Al. We'll get that one top loaded up for you. It's a really nice hit, especially because he's probably going to win the rookie of the year, Jack Penny, on the mini diamond right there. There's our next red rookie, Spencer Swellingback. Let's go ahead and look up this card and see what it's going for. After some quick research, you can buy this one now for 30 bucks and somebody paid $40 best off or probably paid like 30. This is one that should have no value to it. Only one has sold. Spencer Swelling back is not even eligible to win the rookie of the year. So, this card will never be worth anything outside of maybe it being, you know, a rookie refractor. Unfortunately, you know, some some people might not recognize that, but why even make a red Spencer Swelling back? That card will never be worth $100. Still might be able to get 20 to 30 bucks for it from an unsuspecting person, though. It's kind of uh kind of dirty that they even would do that. Why Why put those cards in there? Like the red rookie redemption program would be I think a little bit better if they actually had people that are eligible for the rookie of the year award. There's like 10 guys in that checklist that are not. Here's our last stack. Ral Mitchum. Good luck, Al. Here we go. Got Kobe Mayo right there. Looking for You know what? I don't think we've seen Charlie Condan yet, have we? Maybe I missed him by accident because I was trying to stifle Cough, but I don't think I saw Charlie yet. There's Hagen Smith, number two. 399. And there he is, just in the nick of time. Hardly any time left. Charlie Condan. All right, let's wrap this up. JJ Weatherhalt on the chrome first. Very nice. We like that one. High Kim, his first rookie card. And Alex Mooney first wraps it up for Al. So there you have it. That is Bowman Hobby the new release day. We've got the jumbos coming up for you tomorrow. We've got the breakers to light Thursday. No, Friday. We've got the blaster boxes on Saturday. So, a whole bunch of Bowman coming at you. Stay tuned for all of it. Also, check us out on whatnot. Come on by. Here's $15 off any purchase at all. I think, you know what? I think I'm going to put some hobby packs out there. If you want to get a hobby pack and go after some, you know, big-time prospects, I'll put them on whatnot. I'll probably list them at 15 bucks. Well, there's $15 off for free right there. use that to sign up and use it on a pack of 2025 Bowman or Break or, you know, whatever you want to. You don't have to use it in my stream. You can use it in anybody's stream on whatnot. And if you'd like to sign up or whatnot and sell your own cards, here is a link for you to do that. And they will give you $150, but only if you use this link. It's in matching funds. So, if you go live during your first week and make up to $150, they will give you $150 for free. That, you know, covers a good bit of a 2025 Bowman hobby box. So, why not go and sell some of your cards on there and try it out? I think it's a lot easier than eBay. You don't have to type up listings, take a bunch of pictures. You just be like, "All right, all right, guys. Here we go. Let's go ahead and put this one on the board." Dak Prescott started a dollar and you just run it. See if anybody bids on it. But thank you very much for watching. I hope you guys enjoyed this preview video. I'm going to go rest my voice up for a few minutes before we go live for the next seven hours. Come on by and check us out. Thank you very, very much. Again, we'll have a bunch of team breaks tonight. I'll have single Bowman hobby packs for sale. I'll have some boxes of Bowman for sale as well. Put that in my Whatnot shop. So, thank you very much and have a fantastic rest of your Wednesday and I'll see you tonight on Whatnot. Good night everybody.
