there is a global movement of Christians that are coming back to the ancient feast day of Passover there is a phenomenal prophetic mystery that's built into it and there's a reason why we're beginning to do Bible things in Bible ways there is a Holy Spirit fire revival happening and you need to know about it if you want to learn all about Passover that's exactly what we're going to be talking about today as we uncover it step by step so stick with me right after this [Music] hello everyone Jim Staley here Passion for Truth Ministries and welcome to today's broadcast where we're going to be unpacking all about Passover that's right a global phenomenon is taking place right now as we speak as millions of Christians are beginning to take the journey back in time to go back to their roots and those roots well they just happen to be Hebrew back to the early disciples back to the way Christianity was before the Roman church changed everything as you're going to see shortly people are just starting to feel like when they do Easter there's got to be something more something's not right i can't tell you how many people across the globe have emailed us contacted us or told me personally that just something's not right about celebrating Easter and you're about to find out why because the symbolism and the richness of Jesus Passover that's right the Passover of Yeshua himself is life transforming and we're going to discover it right now so let's dive into the scriptures and find out why this is a phenomenon why there's so many people going back to their roots and what is this movement towards following the feast days of the Lord instead of the ancient Roman calendar that was pushed on all of us Protestants so many years ago so before we begin let's go through that calendar because some of you may not be familiar with God's prophetic feast day calendar they're all about Christ all of them are about the first and second coming of Jesus let's go through it so when we're dealing with the feast days of the Lord we're starting off with Passover passover is when Christ died then he was put in the grave during the feast of unleavened bread when all Jewish people in the first century and all Christians were getting levan out of their house Christ was getting levan out of his church and then he raises from the dead on Yamikarim better known as first fruits becoming the first fruits of all creation and coincidentally 50 days later the Holy Spirit comes down and absolutely encompasses surrounds and empowers his people and that is on shaveote better known in the Greek as Pentecost those first four feast days of the spring collectively are called the spring feast days of the Lord and they're all about the first coming of Christ they were all fulfilled the prophetic foreshadowing of that is fulfilled so when we keep those they are memorial feasts where we're remembering what God did for us through his son then comes the second coming and the second coming is all pictured in the pattern of the fall feast days which begin with Yamurua or the feast of trumpets better known today as Russashana the beginning where every king of Israel was crowned on that day when the scriptures say every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that's on this day it always happened everybody bowed their knee and confessed that that king was the Lord of Israel and there will be a day when every knee will do the same for the true king then comes a few days later Yam Kapour yamapour is the highest holy day of the year it's the day of atonement it's the day where the high priest came in and all of Israel's sins were forgiven once and for all because of that blood that was shed uh that was put on the ark of the covenant the mercy seat giving all of us the grace and mercy that we certainly don't deserve and then the last feast day of the year which is the most incredible feast day of the year it is connected to the revelation marriage supper of the lamb is the feast of sukkot or again better known as tabernacles this is when Yeshua with Jesus was actually born among us and as a matter of fact if you want to learn more about when he was really born you can click right here or click the link in the description and I go through all of the details of how we know exactly when he was born so the fall feast days are all about his second coming the spring feast days are all about his first coming and we're going to start off with Passover and talk about it right now as a matter of fact if you want to learn more about the prophetic feast days of the Lord I have a free PDF download that is a cheat sheet that tells you everything you need to know all you have to do is text the word feast day to 844763-9543 that's feast day to 8447639543 so first and foremost the very first thing we need to do is get rid of the lie that came from the serpent himself that wants to convince Christians that Passover is Jewish or that any of these feast days are Jewish they are simply not god makes it very clear in the book of Leviticus that all the feast days are his he says "These are my feast days says the Lord." And we see it right here in Exodus 12:1 you can read it with me it says "And thus you shall eat it with your loins girded your shoes on your feet and your staff in your hand and you shall eat it in haste for it is the Lord's Passover." It's not the Jewish Passover there was no Jews when this was given it was all of Israel there were simply Israelites the term Jew hadn't even been given until they go into captivity in Babylon and that wouldn't happen until 586 BC under Nehemiah and so at the end of the day these are not Jewish they're simply gods so if you consider yourself part of the kingdom of the Lord then this is for you and especially after we're about to go through and see how amazing these really are second of all let's turn to 1 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 8 and we'll see what Paul has to say what was he teaching did he teach the Gentiles that they needed to keep the feast i thought Paul was all about getting rid of the law of God it was a burden nope not at all let's read it carefully he says "Therefore let us let us who?" The Corinthians the most pagan Gentiles in all of the first century that were coming into faith in Christ and he tells them "Let us keep the feast." talking about Passover not with the oldleavened nor with the leavenven of malice and wickedness but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth he expected the Corinthians to keep the feast of Passover he was excited about it he just wanted them to do it the right way in spirit and truth that's what true worshippers are what we see over here is is Policrates of Ephesus in 196 AD he's the ninth bishop ladies and gentlemen since Yeshua and look what he has to say about this holiday he says "We observe the genuine day neither adding there to or taking there from." All of these the disciples observe the 14th day of Passover according to the gospel deviating in no respect i repeat no respect but following the rule of faith what's the rule of faith what Christ said the biblical calendar until the Roman church changed it and speaking of change here we have right here 325 AD at the Council of Nika this is the ruling pay attention because this is amazing how the entire Christian church today Protestants are actually following a Catholic schedule and this is where it started it says quote "When the question relative to the sacred festival of Easter arose it was universally thought that it would be convenient you hear that word convenient that all should keep the feast on one day it was declared to be particularly unworthy for this the holiest of all festivals to follow the custom the calculation of the Jews who had soiled their hands with the most fearful of crimes and whose minds were blinded in rejecting their custom which their custom was from the Bible we may transmit to our descendants the legitimate mode of celebrating Easter we ought not therefore to have anything in common with the Jews for the Savior has shown us another way now there's nowhere where he sws another way as a matter of fact we're going to find out shortly that he celebrated the Passover the disciples celebrated the Passover and he told them to do this in remembrance of me all the brethren in the east who formerly celebrated Passover with the Jews will henceforth keep it at the same time as the Romans so we discover in just a few short quotes exactly how it got changed and as we walk through here we're going to discover the depth of Passover and how this could absolutely revolutionize your family let's go over to Luke 22:1 19 an incredibly famous verse and this is at the last supper ladies and gentlemen which was a Passover meal and he says "And he took bread gave thanks and broke it and gave it to them saying "This is my body which is given for you do this in remembrance of me." Now almost everybody including me as a former Catholic alter boy everybody knows that he's talking about communion but is he no he said earlier in the gospels that he is he says go and prepare a Passover for me i want to eat it with you and so this is a Passover meal and he's saying do this do what passover in remembrance of me why because for 1400 years prior they've been celebrating in remembrance of Egypt and they told the Hagada or the telling of the story of the Israelites leaving Egypt and all of that's amazing but what he wanted to do is actually have them remember the entire Exodus from Egypt is all symbolic of leaving sin it's all about shedding our background as slaves to sin and taking on our new identity as children of the most high and he wanted to connect that to himself and what he was about to do that they had no idea so where does the Passover start you can find it in Exodus chapter 12 1-14 you can read that on your own but you all know the story this is when the Israelites were coming out of Egypt it's the 10 plagues we're at the 10th plague and God tells Moses to tell the Israelites "Take a lamb and sacrifice it and take the blood and put it over the doorpost of your house." And when the evening comes the death angel will come and pass over the house that has the blood and we're going to discover exactly what passing over means in just a moment but the significance of this story is the original gospel of Jesus Christ Yeshua our Messiah built into the entire story of the Exodus as we're going to see shortly so what happens is on the 10th day of the first month which is Nissan in the Hebrew scriptures they chose an unblenmished lamb unbelievably on the 10th of the first month is when the high priest would parade the Passover lamb through Jerusalem and everyone would take palm branches and they would be shouting "Hosana in the highest." Coincidentally Yeshua Jesus was riding on a donkey through the same town and everyone is saying "Hosana in the highest hosana in the highest." As Christ was being celebrated as the Passover lamb and they didn't even know it it was incredible looking back we see the prophetic symbolism but they didn't see it at the time secondly they inspected the lamb for four days four days later they just so happened to arrest him and they took him to Caiaphas and Caiaphas in a kangaroo court behind closed doors in the dark of the night with candles lit they examined him and they falsely accused him this lines up perfectly with the Torah that says they had to inspect the lamb before they sacrificed it and then of course lastly they sacrificed it on the 14th of Nissan that first month of the year between the evenings which in Hebrew timing is between 3 and 6:00 p.m so as we continue what's interesting is first century historian Pho tells us that this feast is begun on the 15th day of the month in the middle of the month on the day in which the moon is full of light in consequence of the providence of God taking care that there shall be no darkness on that day did you hear what that says my friend this Jewish historian is telling us that the Jews kept the feast day of Passover on the full moon this is how we absolutely know exactly when it was kept it was kept right in the middle of the month and the reason was there was to be no darkness at all this was a prophetic picture that the light of God had come and it was going to dispel all darkness even though darkness would come in the physical realm with clouds and storms and lightning and a massive earthquake the light of the world would shine for everyone to see it would happen on that day but it would not be manifested till 3 days later josephus goes on to say "So these high priests upon the coming of that feast which is called Passover when they slay their sacrifices from the 9th hour till the 11th hour," why so many hours because there's a quarter of a million lambs that have to be slaughtered but the national Passover lamb was sacrificed first on the 9th hour and look what we see in Matthew 27:46 we see the prophetic picture come alive when it says in about the 9inth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice saying Eli Eli lama sabathani that is to say my God my God why have you forsaken me at precisely the same moment that they are killing the Passover lamb for the national forgiveness of Israel they are slaughtering the lamb of God who would take away the sins of the world now that we know and we see the prophetic picture of all of this which we're going to see so much more in just a few minutes let's discover exactly what day he was crucified was he crucified on a Wednesday mark 16:9 says "Now when he rose early on the first day of the week he appeared first to Mary Magdalene out of whom he cast seven demons." Now what's interesting about this verse is the word early is the word proi in the Greek and the word proi literally means the fourth watch of the night so for those that are Bible students that might have missed this and think he might have been uh rose on Saturday night it's absolutely impossible because Mark 16:9 uses the exact word for the fourth watch of the night when is the fourth watch of the night the first watch of the night starts at 6 p.m and it goes in three-hour increments so by the time you get to 3:00 in the morning that's when the fourth watch started so he had to rise from the dead between 3:00 and 6:00 in the morning that is very important because when we get to a Friday crucifixion you see here Matthew 12:40 it says "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a great fish so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." So no matter what you do whether you use exclusive reasoning or inclusive reasoning as the scriptures tend to do throughout all of the scriptures you you have to have three nights there's no way to get around it and we see that if we have a traditional Friday crucifixion that's problematic because we only have Friday night and Saturday night because we know he rose between 3 and 6:00 a.m on Sunday morning so you can have three days there because if you count inclusively you can have Friday you can have Saturday and you can have part of Sunday that would give you the three days but there's no physical way to get three nights it's just not possible now why did the early Christians and the Roman Christians I should say believe that he was crucified on a Friday it's simply because the scripture said they had to get him off the cross because the Sabbath was near but they didn't know because they had drifted so far already by the 4th century away from their Hebrew root they didn't know that the first day of unleaven bread which started on Passover night was a high Sabbath that's right the first day and the seventh day of unleavened bread are special Sabbaths and they can happen any time of the week and it just so happened that Friday that year was a high Sabbath that's why they believed he was crucified on Friday because they figured well if the Sabbath is beginning the Sabbath is on Saturday therefore he had to die on Friday even though no one could get out their fingers and go one night two night we got a problem but this is a simple solution once you know God's prophetic calendar because when you get to a Thursday crucifixion it just makes sense he dies on Thursday he is put in the grave and the Friday becomes a high Sabbath the first day of unleven bread and there is Thursday night Friday night and Saturday night and he rises between 3 and 6:00 a.m on Sunday morning solved mystery solved that's how we know he was crucified on a Thursday afternoon and not a Wednesday not a Friday but a Thursday now why does all that matter well we get over to Exodus 12:13 and we begin to actually get deeper in the prophetic significance now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are and when I see the blood I will pass over you and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt now the million-dollar question is what is Passover passing over what well in traditional mindset the death angel comes and he passes over the houses that have the blood that's on the door of the house but that is not the ancient custom at all in ancient custom they would actually put the blood in what's called a basin let's read it exodus 12:22 and you shall take a bunch of hissop dip it in the blood that's in the basin and strike the lentil and the two doorpost with the blood that's in the basin and none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning now what is the basin if you look on your screen you'll see exactly what it is on the threshold between the the two doorposts was a basin-like bowl structure that they would put the blood in and then they would pour the blood they would pour out the blood into the basin and it would run across the groove that runs between the two doorposts then what would happen is you would pass over that groove and you would enter into covenant in that home it's very common in ancient times to put names pictures and symbols of all the deities over that house on the doorposts of the house so this isn't something extraordinarily new almost every culture did this to give homage they would carve or paint the symbols or pictures of their deities on their door symbolizing who they serve what's absolutely incredible about the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob is he said "Nope we're not doing any kind of images of me i don't want any symbols i only want one symbol to represent life and the connection of life to me i only want one symbol to represent covenant and that you worship me and that symbol is blood it's incredible ladies and gentlemen it is all the way back in the book of Exodus god is telling us that the number one symbol that is going to represent him is blood and that blood is going to be shed for us 1,400 years later or 2,000 years today zephaniah chapter 1 vers9 says "In the same day I will punish all those that leap on the threshold which fill their master's houses with violence and deceit." Now why is this so important because one thing that you can do if you want to reject the covenant of whoever's house you're being invited over for dinner you step on the threshold you step on the blood and when you do that you're making a prophetic statement that you are not going to be in covenant with that person and so this is why it's so important you have to know we have to know these ancient idiomatic expressions these ancient cultural expressions of connection with deity if we're going to properly understand the scriptures and therefore properly understand the power how the blood of the Passover lamb is connected to us matthew 26:28 should make a whole lot more sense when it says "This is my blood this is the blood of the covenant which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins." My friends it's only poured out in one place it's poured out in the groove it's poured out in the threshold someone say "Amen." Hebrews 10:29 this is going to make a whole lot more sense it says "Of how much worse punishment do you suppose will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing and insulted the spirit of grace." That's exactly what he's talking about he's referencing the threshold covenant this is why bridegrooms will carry the bride over the threshold it's this ancient ceremony even in the African-American culture they call it jumping the broom originally it was jumping over the threshold it goes all the way back to this amazing biblical covenant all right now at the end of all of this Passover is about the firstborn it's a whole prophetic picture all about how to take care of Adam who was the firstborn son of God he was divine blood which is what his name means a divine firstborn had to pay the penalty for a divine firstborn there's no other way to do it any other blood would be tainted with sin and would be inferior and something that's inferior certainly couldn't pay for something that's superior it has to be DNA for DNA and this brings us to this incredible concept in the Torah called the Kingsman Redeemer here's how the kinsman redeemer worked when a husband dies and leaves a wife with no firstborn son to carry on his name it is the obligation of the next nearest kin to take her as a wife and give her a son to carry on his family name it's also his obligation to redeem any land and he's also required to be the avenger of blood if someone dies it's the responsibility of the kinsman redeemer the one who's closest in kin to the person that was killed to go after the one that killed him and be the avenger of blood and we see the prophetic foreshadow to Christ all over the place there's four rules of redemption when we're dealing with the kinsman redeemer number one he must be near of kin number two he must be able to redeem and free any of the calamity or need of redemption himself we see this with Ruth and Boaz boaz wanted to redeem Ruth but there was someone closer and he denied his part and Boaz came forward and redeemed Ruth number three he must be willing to redeem and number four the redemption was completed when the price was completely paid now look at the redemption connection to Yeshua jesus was our nearest kin he was the nearest kin to Adam there's no other nearest kin adam was divine blood he died he was if you will murdered by the serpent when he was deceived through a lie and so the only one that could redeem him from death was his closest kin that would require someone that was divine blood that had never sinned before just like Adam and that was the second Adam Jesus the Christ Yeshua our Messiah next Yeshua was able to redeem and was free from any bondage so he qualified in the second qualification three he was absolutely willing to go after the serpent and how did he do it by laying down his life and number four he completely paid the required price and what was the required price blood yahweh said that if you sin blood is required his blood was shed to bring complete forgiveness of sins last but not least my friends Leviticus 14:1 i've got to share this with you this is absolutely an amazing prophetic picture of the death burial and resurrection of Christ it is the gospel it is the Exodus it is why we do the Passover right here this obscure very strange scripture leviticus 14:1 read it with me and the Lord spoke unto Moses saying "This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing he shall be brought unto the priest and the priest shall go forth out of the camp and the priest shall look and behold if the plague of leprosy be healed in the leper and the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthn vessel over running water as for the living bird he shall take it the cedarwood and the scarlet and the hissup and dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed now follow me here for a second because I know this sounds archaic and cryptic but he he's he takes the bird that's alive dips it in the bird that was killed over the running water and he shall sprinkle it seven times on him who is to be cleansed from the leprosy and shall pronounce him clean and shall let the living bird loose in the open field ladies and gentlemen let me unpack that for you in today's language there are two birds one represents Christ one represents us one of the birds has to be killed in order for the other bird to be set free there's leprosy involved and the only way to heal the leper and to consider him clean and declare him clean is that the bird that's alive has to be killed then the other bird has to be dipped in the blood and the running water and then the bird that's alive that has bloody water all over him is set free in the open field is that not the most amazing prophetic picture of us who have leprosy we are not like what we are created to be we are tainted with sin and Christ died and we are dipped in his blood that's baptism in the ancient Hebrew tongue it would have been called a mikvah fully immersed in the blood and the water of the word and when we come out we are transformed and we are set free someone write in the
