base camp project management tutorial how to use base camp hi guys in this video I'm going to be telling you how you can use base camp so let's get into it now base camp is a project management that you have so right here you can see in the Pro one you have messages real time chats to-do list card table schedules and all of that whereas they're doing a basic comparison you can see over here these are the other ones that provide the same value for $639 per month which is 20 users so keep that in mind so let's go ahead and sign up and check it out so we're going to use the simple version for now we going to click on try it for free and over here you just enter in your full name your email address your organization name and your archus to go and here we go so as you can see right here we are good to go now let's go ahead and let's see our account so over here this is how it looks like so you have your schedule right here your assignments recently visited and getting started right here over here at the top you can make a new project and you will see all of your view lists over here up at the top you have your home your lineup your pings your messages or notification your activity and your stuff so over here you can see your bookmarks your assignments schedules and all of that so let's go ahead and create a task or create a project so we'll just simply click on make a new project we'll add the name of this project right here it can be any name you want it depends on you but for now let's say we want to make changes you know regarding our workstyle let's say this is the video editing project right and down below we can add the description of what we want to do in this project you know what our goals are and then down below we have our tools so we can use all these different tools and then we can choose who's on the project and then we just simply click on create this project so we're going to click on create this project and over here you can see these are our tools uh we can add people over here by clicking on this button and add a client to this project you can add people over here by adding their you know emails right here what client is this project with and all of that but for now we'll go back and over here you can see I have just created this project this is the activity right now we have our messages board to-dos docs and all of that let's go ahead and click on to-dos and fill that out so over here we're going to add a few to-dos so to do that just simply click on new list and enter in the name of this list and add some extra details if you want right so we'll just say getting the so we're going to type this as a title and then down below uh we can attach some extra details we can attach the link the raw footage and you know whatever sources we want to this and we should be good to go if you want to use a template we can just simply click on use a to-do template and over here you can create a to-do list template yourself so if you click on add new template add some extra details click on set up this template and you should be good to go so we'll just say custom Todo and then we'll just simply click on set up this template and if we click on add to this template we can add what our you know template is describe what this template does this template is for video editors and then you down below you can assign different people we'll just say we're going to assign James over here now as I said before you can add other people and then you can assign them to this so uh we can do that as well we'll just say add this to the template there we go it's done and once you have created a template you can just simply use that custom template onto your to-do list right it's very simple so this is the to do whatever we want we'll click on add this to the list there we go describe we are reviewing clickup and we can assign different people to it when done notify type the name of the person you want to notify select the due date all right and run for multiple days repeat do not repeat and you can add extra notes if you want and then you can click on this button and you should be good to go so you can assign different tasks so for example this is the editing portion or actually uh getting the raw file so we'll just say uh screen recording over here and we are going to say like you know edit the screen recording uh clear all the Buffs and of screen recording fix the sound whatever we want you can assign different persons to it uh now we're going to go with edit the audio and once we have done that of course we can assign different person to this now we've got edit the audio now we want to you know go ahead and edit the video itself and we'll just say uh this as well and then we want to go ahead and review it for mistakes or quality check this video and there we go and after that we'll just say upload it or send it to the client whatever you want uh it depends on you upload it to the channel there we go and we are good to go after that uh we can go back and this is a list right here so over here is the to-dos this is going to be the messaging board over here you can post different messages we'll just say you know first I'm going to go ahead and add other people in this board or in this project so that I can show you exactly what we are going to do and to add other people within the task you can just simply click on ADD people over here and add your clients right here and you can choose what you want just following or you know on the project as well working with a client when you invite a client to this project you decide what you can do so let's go ahead and add some but if you want to add let's say your co-workers or your team members you can add them by clicking on ADD people button and over here just type the names here we'll just say James right here if you've already added them you can just simply type their name and they would appear over here so let's go ahead and add a client type the client company here if you want to but yeah I'll just write name over here there we go click on added and there we have James and if we go back we have over here and also uh if you want over here this is basically the client area right if we go back to the main page over here you can see we have invite people over here this is someone who works at the company that you have or the project an outside collaborator or partner a client you're doing work for you can do it something like that so we'll just simply click on next and add James right here we'll add James email and we'll add video editor right here and then we'll just simply click on invite email now it'll send us the invite and I have it right here and here is the invite we'll open it up and set up password for this person to join up so it's as simple as that so once someone has you know joined up you can go ahead and add them to the project that you want and you should be good to go so next you can just simply assign certain projects or certain tasks to them you can have a chat right here you can tag them right here by sending the message over here this is the message board where you can post announcements and stuff like that and then over here is going to be your schedule if you want to complete you know see how it would look like once it's completed this is how it would look like you're going to have your to-dos right here your messaging board card table all of that so very simple this is how you do it this is how you use Base Cam to manage all of your projects so thank you
