[Music] [Music] welcome to another episode of the anabolic kitchen and i'm chef greg coach greg and i'm here with ali smith and guess what we're making today floppy cracks sloppy greg's who doesn't want a slobby greg in the mouth everybody wants a sloppy crack right in the mouth you know you do and we have two versions we have one for the animal safety people we have a plant-based plant-based the people who don't want to eat meat what's it called it's called veggie sloppy gregg a veggie sloppy greg sandwich and mine is a sloppy grape sandwich the regular kind using meat yeah meatless meat you can choose the one you want we're gonna do both of them at the same time they're slightly different recipes i actually think this is pure vegan there's like no yours is vegan yeah no not just veggie but like vegan like no animal products it's straight up vegan for all the animal lovers out there and if you don't want to you can have mine which is gonna have extra lean ground turkey mine's better i've eaten them both many times i actually prefer this one over this one not because it doesn't have meat just because of the taste and just it just it's just delicious and meatless so it's up to how you like it and so step one is you you have to turn up the heat on the pan to about medium and then you gotta cook the actual product so for me one pound extra lean ground turkey and for you i am 16 ounce ground veggie meat so one pound so both recipes have a pound of veggie meat and regular meat you want to show them the meat yeah that's the one that we're using today and i used meat you don't need to see turkey it's actually here so there you go look at mine so this is how it looks so it's cooking it's it's it's ready so we didn't want to waste 10 minutes showing you how to cook hamburger you know how to do that next step your onions onions garlic mushrooms and peppers yeah the good thing about this is you can't screw it up just dump everything in and cook it and you're good to go literally the hardest part of this is cutting all this stuff to get ready after that it's just like it's easy so if you know how to cut a vegetable you can do this so this has been cooking for five minutes i'm gonna do my next step my step is slightly different from greg so i'm adding tomato sauce ketchup and tomato paste as my next step and mine is different i'm adding in the tomato sauce and because i don't have tomato paste i'm adding in guar gum or xanthan gum i don't care which one you use and i'm going to put in the sloppy joe seasoning and obviously you have to mix [Music] okay so i just mixed mine up well now i'm gonna add one package of my sloppy joe mix guys look how good this looks and in comparison see similar but not the same mine's so thick yours is thicker mine's a little bit more like liquidy yeah and some people like it liquidy some people like it less liquidy it's up to you so after you add all of the sauces and your sloppy joe mix you turn it down to low and let simmer for 10 minutes yeah and mine doesn't say 10 minutes it just says to turn it down just cook it how long you want and the longer it cooks the thicker it gets that guar gum it's gonna get thicker and thicker technically for hours or days tomorrow it's gonna be thicker than today and if you don't like it that thick you could always add more spaghetti sauce you got more water you can do whatever you want or you don't even need to put the guar gum in the first place just make it the way you want there are no rules in the anabolic kitchen no rules in the kitchen zero rules zero okay so ten minutes has passed it's all ready to go we're going to take it we're going to show you and then we're going to show you the finishing steps okay so i like my regular ass bread lightly toasted greg doesn't like his toasted sometimes not as much regular you ever like eat it toast it and like scrapes the roof of your mouth no do you guys get that like when i used to eat the toasted sandwiches i was addicted i was like i like the toasted sandwich and i bite into it and scraping the roof of my mouth and it cuts that little weird dangly thingy that's right in the back of your throat no no we're not done the talk the dangle the stringy thing cuts that thing i don't know you're br you're biting it and you chew and it cuts under it scrapes it and then it becomes raw and the roof of your mouth becomes raw and you eat i used to have a problem a lot and then i have to stop eating the toasted sandwiches because for a while i get addicted i want toasted salmon toasted sandwich toasted it's a burger made with bologna everyone knows not a thing it's a thing i ate it for three-year street okay no we're not done this and then i ended up having to switch over from the freaking french toast burning stuff and use a soft bread because i couldn't what are you talking about toast that's been like heated up it's like that's right okay fine scrapey toast so i had to stop the scrapy toast eat the soft bread toast because when i would chew it it would literally scrape the inside of my mouth you're telling me you've never experienced this sometimes i've had that with eating cereal like too much cereal anyway i'm going to add three quarters of cup onto each bread so let's do that am i allowed to round up on the cup no leveled off can i can i do it like this no this is your three quarters of a cup you that's what you do this is mine this is an actual screenport you got to scrape it off so that it's lined up or you're cheating it'd be more calories than you expected there we go look at that and paste it around and i put a heaping serving of this three quarters of cups a lot because we want more protein put another one on here how you making out over there like making the sand castle look at yours and do you know what i do for extra protein protein squares i add in my protein squares you got it because who doesn't like it cheesier than last time this is true i'm pretty cheesy you are in real life and in my food you're definitely something that's for sure she always says i'm something she never agrees with me she just she'll say yeah you're something i'd be like babe am i not this or that she's like yeah you're something as if to be like i'm agreeing you but not agree you're just saying it to shut you up for now no no no you're you're more than just usually the one thing that you're saying well i go under tangents i keep going on and back and forth on and on but definitely something but look this melts it because it's hot underneath but you can heat it up even more yeah and yours has ketchup in it and mine does not i am a big ketchup fan and we obviously use no sugar added ketchup to have less calories do you want extra ketchup that may or may not why be oh yeah maybe that's why you like this one better it might be the ketchup i mean technically i could put ketchup i'm gonna add some let's add some of this badness on here because why not there's no freaking rules and there's only 10 calories per teaspoon tablespoon tablespoon a tablespoon is three times as big as a teaspoon it is so i also really really like this with cheese and crackers so i put like a rice cracker a piece of cheese and then i spoon it into the container of sloppy greg's and then eat it just like that it's like sloppy cheese and crackers it's like a sloppy greg in the mouth with crackers exactly am i a cracker isn't that white people are crackers so it's a sloppy greg in the mouth except i have a decent tan for not being in the sun your skin is always that color and often times at night i'll eat sloppy greg's and it i don't have time to make a bread thing and i just eat a coal with spoon and i put in wraps i've done that many times so i've had sloppy greg wraps with the joseph lavash lavish wraps that lie about their calories they're 145 not 20 on average weigh it try it see if you agree just giving them the truth it's an approximate that's fine so this is some good stuff and you've never tried this what mine i can't try yours because it's got turkey in it so technically i can say whatever i want and i could say this one's better very true one serving of this as is about 450 calories and that would be a little bit less for her i would be full after eating these two and over 30 grams of protein so you got plenty of protein you got the carbs you need some fat a little mix of everything yeah this is one of my favorite meals from this cookbook i think oh it definitely is we eat it a lot and usually i eat mine as a sandwich and only put half the amount of meat so and i'm full after it yeah so this is how hard it would be yeah sandwich that's hard are you excited for uh that was a big bite babe i got a big mouth cow excited for what our full day of eating with single size servings oh yes i'm so excited for that that's going to be interesting there's so much food so much food maybe that's why i'm so excited although we're probably going to be elite i know a serving person so it's a lot of food that's not going to be able to be eaten it's so lazy we'll see yeah we'll eat in the next day oh okay i'm stuffed i feel like i just ate breakfast now i'm eating lunch and for me i would probably eat twice that like i would eat it again there's a hole there's a sandwich ready for you and then in here regular humber coaching program buy
