Steps to Construct a Pie Chart

Preparation

1. Frequency Table: Favorite Animals

   • Dog: 20 people
   • Cat: 16 people
   • Elephant: 9 people
   • Tiger: 26 people

2. Total Number of People: 72

3. Total Angle: 360 degrees

Calculating Angles

1. Degrees per Person:

   • Calculate by dividing the total degrees (360) by the total number of people (72)
   • 360 / 72 = 5 degrees per person

2. Frequency to Angle Conversion: Multiply each frequency by 5 degrees

   • Dog (20 people): 20 x 5 = 100 degrees
   • Cat (16 people): 16 x 5 = 80 degrees
