Mentally Gone Reacts: Pulp Fiction Discussion

thank you for your patronage [Music] what's up guys and welcome back to another episode of mentally gone reacts my name is Callie lucerda and I'm Gabriella and today we have a treat not only for you guys but for us um we are going to be experiencing jumping into the universe of Quentin Tarantino with Pulp Fiction Pulp Fiction uh Pulp Fiction I think it's one of those films where if you haven't seen it it's kind of like Shawshank Redemption where if you haven't seen it and you're at a party and you're having a conversation with someone they'll just drop everything if they're eating a hot dog they'll drop the hot dog and they'll just audibly gasp you know like how how haven't you seen Pulp Fiction and my story uh which I'm not going to get too into because it's like it's literally my life story but I was living in Brazil from 2010 or 9 2009 from 2009 to 2016 roughly and I was living in Brazil and so I only recently reintegrated myself into the American culture kind of right so it's only been a few years so I've been living in the US since two thousand 16 and that's my way of saying like I never had the opportunity to really jump into movies and that's why we had the idea of coming together and creating this Channel and experiencing it on this channel which we've been grateful for the opportunity but yeah so that's one of the reasons why I kind of just want to like really just jump into everything that I've missed so far and Quentin Tarantino I I've seen his episode on Joe Rogan and I've seen this episode on my other favorite comedy podcast it's called your mom's house podcast where Tom Segura who's one of my favorite comedians he interviewed Quentin Tarantino and that's as far as I know of my understanding like I've never seen any of his films and so I want to jump into the universe and we quickly researched beforehand we saw like the list of movies that he has created so far and there is one I believe before this one which is Reservoir Dogs oh Reservoir Dogs yeah but then we just figured like all right so we're gonna jump in with the most iconic one which is Pulp Fiction and then eventually like we'll do all of it like we plan on experiencing all of Quentin Tarantino yeah um and he has like very few films right like yeah yeah from the list I think I saw like um well like eight one of the like one of his um friend not franchises but one of his titles is it um has a part one and a part two so I think all together it's like nine films or something oh is it killed but yeah I think it's yeah because I know that I like I know a lot about like not about that movie but I've seen like you know of it and I know that there's like multiple parts of that one but I didn't know that that one was Tarantino until just now when we were talking about it yeah um but what was I gonna say um yeah I have no explanation um I'm always I know that like I appalled myself knowing that I haven't watched a lot of these like cult classic movies and my explanation that I will say every time because it's just the truth is that I just re-watch the same movies that I like yeah and it's typically like young adult rom-com romance like that that stuff like trust me I've probably seen all of them guys like like she's watched almost every single romantic film like those like which I've like it's not my cup of tea so to me it's kind of cringy it's kind of corny at times but it's those like coming of age and like romantic stuff yeah that's like like recent movies even it's like those uh throwaway Netflix movies that that's just like Mindless entertainment and like she's that's all she consumes I feel like romance because like the whole purpose of life his love you know that's why I hate horror movies but I'm willing to experience horror movies on this channel because there are a lot of horror movies because I just don't like horror movies yeah and then even action movies like I've Never Been In Action type of person so my two favorite genres of movies which I actually put a poll on our patreon to figure out like what our patrons favorite genres of movies are but my two favorites would fall under like romance and and like a thriller like something that has like twists you know like psychological Thriller mine mine would definitely be like science fiction yeah sci-fi drama because I like to cry a lot I feel like I have like a lot of pent-up emotions that I just need to like like let out so drama comedy is always a great time comedy action just like copy everything except for horror yeah yeah which are going to do like again this is just the beginning of this channel this is a brand new channel by the way like we started three months ago so our plan is just to cover the whole gamut yeah it's like literally like we had conversation recently about how this channel is like it's crazy to think that this is like a lifetime investment and it's like kind of a career quote unquote I hate to use that term when it applies to content creation and being a YouTuber but we are just gonna like experience this whole universe and then I'm I'm excited to see myself in five ten years from now from all of the movie knowledge and everything that I've experienced and all the art that I've assimilated and how that's gonna you know just morph and change my personality and who I am because art changes people like that's what art is for you know and I feel like based on your own life experiences you like everyone views it differently so if your interpretation of a movie could be different completely different from someone else's but what I wanted to say really quickly and then we'll get into it is that our patrons voted sci-fi fantasy as the number one genre yeah so we're gonna look into some sci-fi fantasy um because maybe that's what a lot of people prefer if that was like the overwhelming vote and then second place was action um but yeah and so uh let us know below too like what genre you enjoy watching What genre you would like us to watch what specific movie would you like us yeah even movie yeah movie uh recommendations but we're currently focusing on the recommendations of our patrons so if you're like dying to for whatever reason see us reacting to a specific movie then subscribe to our patreon and and we have like I have like conversations with people on their messages comments I've been putting polls and posts so it's it's definitely the best way to kind of um connect with us because we we try to get through all the comments and we try to reply to as many people as we can and we try not to be like robotic about it like just put an emoji a smile emoji and say thanks whatever like we try to actually respond and so the best way right now is through patreon because it's still like in its infant stage yeah you know like it's it's gonna grow I assume I hope in the coming years but for now it's like it's a very intimate close-knit Community because before we started like doing it as well as we are now like on our reaction Channel I was able to get to most of the comments but now it's like 500 comments on each video like I I literally cannot like we read them almost all of them because it comes up on our notifications and we read through them like we've seen the long ones the short ones like we've seen the positive ones the negative ones yeah the ones commenting about certain things yeah that I'm not fond of but whatever we'll keep it pushing um but anyways yeah so it's been complicated with getting to YouTube comments so patreon yeah it's the best way to talk to us literally like just have conversations it's cool time yep all right so with that being said um I'm gonna put the glasses on and we are gonna jump right into it oh Santa one of our banks I'm just illustrating if we did it'd be easier than what we've been doing it used to be it's too many foreigners on liquor stores Vietnamese Korean so don't even speak [ __ ] English you tell them empty out to register they don't know what I'm talking about a lot of people come to restaurants pretty smart huh I'm ready let's do it right now right here all right we're gonna rob you right now same as last time remember oh wow okay I'll hand in place whoa It's like a Bonnie and Clyde situation right here I love you honey bunny oh as I said Bonnie I know last one of you oh shoot that's a freaking star look at The Music Man a band apart and Jersey for Jersey films we're from New Jersey uh forget about it do you know what they call a quarter pounder with cheese they don't call it a quarter pound of a chick the metric system it was on the [ __ ] Quarter Pounder is and what do they call it they call it Royale which Royale oh yeah you remember Antoine roccamora half black half Simone used to call him Tony Rocky Horror and Marcellus him up good word around the campfire is was on the count of Marcellus Wallace's wife I'm trying to understand the plot here yeah what are they the wood Marcellus do sent a couple of cats over to his place they took him out on his patio threw a balcony damn what that little garden down at the bottom clothing glass like a greenhouse you could fail through that since then he kind of developed a speech impediment that's a damn shame for a foot massage okay so don't touch the guy's wife but who's the guy you know like I'm assuming it's like an important guy maybe your method of massage differs from mine but you know touching his wife's feet and sticking your tongue in the holiest the holies ain't the same ballpark yeah it's not League it ain't even the same Sports I just don't mean [ __ ] I wouldn't say they don't mean anything foot massage is intimate it is you're giving a lot of them [ __ ] [ __ ] got my technique down and everything I don't be tickling enough when you give a guy a foot massage that's a good point exactly I'm super ticklish by the way nobody's touching my feet I mean that's just life man they say amount of sense of humor about this [ __ ] you know what I'm saying it's an interesting point you don't give another man's wife a foot massage dude that's like a a preemptive way of cheating you know like it's kind of a build up to cheating yeah you're going to be taking Mia Wallace out on a date it's like if you even take your buddy's wife to a movie or something no just good company that's all no see like he's a hypocrite he was just talking about massages being you can't hang out with another man's wife take her to the movies that is a date how you boys doing hey keep chilling they're eating five eight they're eating uh Five Guys they're eating fast food at seven in the morning you mind if I have some of your tasty beverage to wash this down go right ahead he looks very intimidating she's gonna drink all of it oh my God damn that was a big cup yeah well it was probably halfway through block of Seagulls you know why we're here why don't you tell my man Vincent what do you got the [ __ ] here then it's over there I don't remember asking you a goddamn thing you were saying it's in the cupboard I could feel the tension you know the one by your knees yeah I don't know what's going on and what business are they in like I'm assuming it's a drug business because they kind of look like they're in the mob like in the mafia they're like Hitman or something six six damn huh we happy why is it glowing is it like gold I just want you to know how sorry we are that things got so with us and Mr Wallace when we we got into this thing with the best intentions really I never oh my God describe what Marcellus Wallace looks like what it's like what again say what again I dare you oh my God I would pee myself one more goddamn time that's what I kept thinking is that his crotch is probably oh ah he's he warned him hey look oh my God oh my God oh that's so crazy wow oh shoot that's a crazy passage I've never heard that before I've heard the Brother's Keeper line a lot and I guess that's where it comes from so they work for Marcellus Wallace because a year from now when you're kicking it in the Caribbean you're gonna say to yourself Marcellus Wallace was right yeah so it is him I had no problem with that Mr Wallace in the field your ass goes down and the fifth my ass goes down [Music] so he's probably a hit man too yeah because he got paid big man's wife I'm gonna sit across from her chew my food my mouth closed laughter jokes and that's it hey my name is Paul this just between y'all nobody wants to touch her because she's radioactive you know yeah like every man that comes close gets hurt looking at something friend my friend Beluga I think you heard me just fine punchy [Music] that's a very confrontational first interaction why would you wear a study every time sex thing else it helps the way show I would think he would get in the way yeah but this one is a little more expensive this is 500 Degrees when you shoot it you will know where that extra money went now there's nothing wrong with these this is real real real good [ __ ] this heroin I don't know I'm not into that don't put another man's vehicle you don't do it just to guess the rules he just said he wasn't gonna do it oh shoot we're doing this right now oh man I didn't get mine ready you know I'm kidding yeah it is very like happy upbeat song as this guy's about to shoot up this drug this hard drug I think that's the point letting loose man yeah man you've got a convertible oh I hate needles guys I hate needles I hate the sign of blood I'm I'm super squeamish when it comes to those things I don't know why I don't mind it uh I'm not even looking at the screen I just uh I'm looking I'm looking now okay hi Vincent I'm getting dressed the door's open come inside make yourself a drink Mia okay oh that's an invitation already yeah I'm getting dressed you don't tell uh I'm currently undressed yeah like basically but come inside you know oh look she's watching him she's already dressed [Music] I've seen that Meme before I'm on the intercom look you see that Meme yeah that's where it's from push the button if you want to talk go make yourself a drink and I'll be down in two shakes of a lamb's too the bar is by the fireplace is that code two shakes of a lamb's tail hmm I've never heard that before in my life sounds like something they say in the South it's like that was crazier than two shakes of the lamb's tail yeah oh shoot on the job really oh it's her yeah it's her Oh I thought it was him no I saw her black nail polish yeah Barefoot foot fetish so all the people out there who love feet this this movie already gets a 10. yeah look it's a little dirty too is that such a unique style to it like I can't quite explain it yet but it has like such a unique way with the transitions with the flare transitions with uh even her doing the square thing and then it just like popping out it feels so like all over the place like you don't even know what's gonna happen next very sporadic reserve the car where are they [Applause] thank you very much oh you reserve a car that's so cool can you eat out of the car yeah look has a little table Derwood Kirby Burger bloody and five dollars Shake oh my God Martin and Lewis she's a woman of taste that's a shape that's milk and ice cream you don't put bourbon into nothing no I'll be right back with your drinks I I whenever I get a milkshake with a burger it's always like eight dollars I don't even care I want a shake you know what animal jokes well I only got the chance to say one because we only did one show tell me oh shoot I promise I won't laugh that's what I'm afraid of that's not what I meant you know it now I'm definitely not going to tell you because it's been built up too much so it didn't perform well the show because it didn't go past the pilot then I've been in Vanilla Coke this is when they used to make the coke yeah right it's interesting Vanilla Coke interesting yeah like they have cherry Pepsi and stuff you know it's like the same Spiel I gotta know what a five dollar Shake tastes like you can use my straw I don't have cooties I do cooties I can handle oh she's flirty she wants a taste of Vincent that's for sure he wants to taste her smoothie that's interesting I think it's all very symbolic good milkshake I told you I don't know it was worth five dollars it was pretty good meaning she's worth risking at all maybe you know it's like it's the value and the symbolism with the food yeah yeah like tasting her milkshake to see how sweet it is I'm gonna go to the bathroom [Music] she's the boss and that's why they call it the powder room right I'm assuming oh what shoe no that's funny isn't it funny how every rich person's house oh look oh the iconic scene sounds like you actually have something to say well well I do but you have to promise not to be offended no no no and my natural response could be to get offended then through no fault of my own I would have broken my promise that's what you do a lot to me it's like promise you won't get angry promise you won't get mad I just said that Antoine ain't giving you a foot massage and and nothing that's it you heard Marsalis through Tony Rocky Horror at a four-story window for giving me a foot massage can you believe that it does sound pretty crazy I do believe Marcellus my husband your boss told you to take me out and do whatever I wanted now I want to dance I want to win I want that trophy so that's good all right all right she's assertive yeah okay very confident it's interesting this is what she said well I took your shoes off yeah a lot of emphasis on the feet huh it's like the the foot massage and now they're taking their shoes off well I've heard that Tarantino has a foot fetish really yeah huh [Music] it's so crazy to think that back then people dance like this it's nice look at that it's interesting though right yeah oh I almost want to dance with them look at them dancing's so interesting guys it's like it's such a it's such a thing that we can't really rationalize you know what I'm saying yeah it's like you can't really justify what's going on like you could try but and it's so Universal oh sure oh I think something's gonna happen with them maybe yeah look uh-oh the drugs too and remember that there are cameras in this house [Music] music plays a huge part in this film yeah it's like always in every scene yeah and it kind of sets the tone one drink and I said don't be rude drink your drink let's do it quickly he's stalking himself yes it's a rehearse [Music] what if she drugs his drink yeah and he's like wondering being loyal is very important see he's smart though because he's like rationalizing it you know yeah because most men would just dive into it and just like let the tide kind of take them you know but he's taking a step back and looking himself in the mirror and that's very important yeah [Music] um is she about to die I don't know what's going on yeah I don't know anything about our drugs was she supposed to use that like he didn't need that for anything else or was that for himself oh shoot oh [Music] [ __ ] she's gonna die I mean I'm sure you're not supposed to snort what you're supposed to be shooting up you know and she's already like had her fair share for the night oh my god did she die so listen I gotta go right she's still alive she's blinking you oh Jesus Christ oh [ __ ] me me oh come on girl we're getting out of here we gotta walk hey well she's still alive yeah she was blinking [Music] today I know both and you take her to a hospital and call him lawyer negative this is not my problem is that's crazy bringing a person who's dying scream any louder so the neighbors can hear I know I know right like No One's Gonna call the cops now come on help me help me pick her up on they have to save her what's wrong with her she's so dead you too oh my gosh just help or don't operation life yeah it's like foreshadowing problems right adrenaline shot it's like get the shot like they're screaming aisle mm-hmm [Applause] oh my gosh so chaotic I know but it's also real right like it feels real yeah that's it all right another needle that magic mark oh that's a huge needle oh my God these are the ones that they go and they just like stick it I think but it's gotta be hard enough to get through her breastplate into her heart all right and then once you do that you press down on the plunger okay yeah they do it like forcefully she has to come out of it like that it's oh man I'm getting so much anxiety guys I don't I just haven't uh like irrational fear of needles oh that's a thick one boy too is he gonna do it good come on oh God oh my God oh my gosh oh my God she's alive oh my God guys oh my God I'm feeling like I'm like literally feeling dizzy I'm not even kidding I need a drink of water that was like trippy let's go don't tell your husband about this all right she looks like she died oh my gosh yeah she was already kind of like Twisted Twisted looking now she's yeah she was doing the Twist and then she was twisted three tomatoes are walking down the street Papa tomato Mama tomato and baby tomato baby tomato starts lagging behind and popped tomato gets really angry goes back and squishes him says ketchup [Laughter] ketchup see you around okay so we worked for someone over here that's so funny oh they're in love this is me trying to make this into a romance move yeah you're trying to find the Romantic heartbeat every movie needs a little romance come on everybody need a little love better yeah isn't but wait isn't Butch uh bill will uh Bill Willis watch it's on your daddy's wrist when they were shot down way dad looked at it this watch was your Birthright you'd be damned if any slopes gonna put the greasy other hands on his boy's birthday I was waiting for that to happen he died of dysentery he'd give me the watch two years oh man I'll give the watch to you so his dad kept the watch up his ass so it wouldn't be confiscated [Music] [Applause] like statement about what's happening like there's no conversation with the audience which I appreciate actually because it forces us to work even harder to make sense of everything but it seems very sporadic you know but it's also making sense in a way he's a boxer yeah brick is going on oh that's why Wallace said that on the phone or something on the fifth you go down on the fifth round on the fifth round you go down because it's rigged so that's how they would make money and that's how they would wash their drug money is by betting you know so it's money laundering and I heard Vincent Vincent oh yeah punch man or whatever great we never see marcellus's face I know just the back of his head unpreps if Butch goes to Indo China I want to decide in a bowl of rice radio pop a cap in his ass okay we'll take care of it end of China okay so he's running away she's his getaway driver he's dead the radio said he was dead oh so he didn't follow the rules yeah that's what I figured yeah well enough about the poor unfortunate Mr Floyd let's talk about the rich and prosperous Mr Butch oh he made money all eight how long to collect he bet on himself yeah it probably takes a couple days to get down to Knoxville okay my brother you're right you're goddamn right I have a bad feeling next time I see you we'll be on Tennessee time cool brother Knoxville Tennessee so he bet on himself that's interesting yeah because the stakes were high so he knew that there was high bets right for him losing yeah and so he pitched it up for him winning yeah I'm just trying to find the deeper meaning behind it all forever forever and ever it's a long time forever is a long time guys will you give me moral pleasure horrible pleasure it's your face whoa okay guess what his bald head but the other one I think I cracked the ribs giving me oral pleasure no [ __ ] from the fight oh my name is whoa everything's like perfect and I hate that [ __ ] voice [ __ ] whoa move that towel yeah guys we're gonna end the reaction here she's no longer part of the channel and yeah that's so funny right yeah that's hilarious it's because they like perfectly positioned where it's always covered close your eyes just in case oh oh I saw it I saw it for like a brief second oh no I didn't see you were making me laugh rewind now it's time to show the girl come on equal like uh double standard or whatever they call it again shoes feet yeah what's up with the feet what time is it what time is it sweet dreams Jelly Bean Cali wants to see her pot belly let me see a piece of France of a potbelly yeah yep I wonder if he's sleeping I'm still on edge no he slept at night and then now it's the morning to drink a tall glass orange juice and a black cup of coffee pie for breakfast any time of the day is a good time for pie I agree it's the American way where's my watch oh no yes what the [ __ ] you think I'm doing he's got a temper well this little [ __ ] you could set on fire but I specifically reminded you not to forget the [ __ ] watch oh no did you get it I believe so you believe so does that mean you either did or you didn't get it she left it behind no no he definitely has a temper it's not your fault see how do you like them now babe you saw him naked you still like him huh like him then either temper tantrum reminded you about it but I didn't illustrate how personal the watch was to me no like if I was the watch I should tell you that not a mind reader damn I mean he really collected himself quickly though like this bipolar yeah I saw you watch I thought I brought it now he's gonna risk his life what if the plot twist is that the watch is there somewhere and now he's going back for nothing can forget she forgets my father's watch that's literally me guys this is men literally me like like after like I'll after the fact I'll leave the room I'll come down here alone and I'm like oh you have a reaction you compose yourself and then you have to have a reaction when you're away yeah you have to get like a pillow and just scream inside the pillow dude do the same yes I literally have a punching bag right over here it's those um Bob martial arts things he's right there staring us down and occasionally I'll just go up to him to [ __ ] let it all out except I'll do it where I'm composed in the situation and then I walk away and cry yeah so yeah that's how we deal with our anger towards each other make your money then buy your freedom freedom is not free in America oh remember how they tossed the other guy over the balcony yeah maybe that's alluding to it right maybe I just thought of that because I saw him like walking on these like balconies I didn't even think about that but this one only has three floors so he might be more unscathed if he's tasked off let's see what happens imagine you just gets shot soon as he puts it in that's what she said there's probably someone waiting there no yeah I don't know come on I mean if I was Finding like definitely have someone planted at the person's house for sure I was gonna say is he going on on armed in there like he doesn't have a gun for himself that's a good point oh there's the watch okay now get out all right he was so so he is a professional boxer he's always been so he's not a Hitman for Wallace then he's just a boxer is what I'm trying to understand so that's why he doesn't have a gun Maybe oh he still has to eat oh man this is not smart just go back and eat the blueberry pancakes with your girl dude I see some bottles over there that look like steroids probably and the smell of um Pop-Tarts is gonna uh that's a huge gun it's like an Uzi oh [ __ ] someone's there yep he leaves their gun unattended like that no he's gonna kill him [Music] Wild that's crazy and what set the alarm off was the smoke from the gun it's not even the and maybe that was the first time he ever shot a gun who knows oh my gosh no he was like the one person I didn't want to die that's crazy I was hoping it was like anyone else like any stranger I was not expecting yeah yeah like a main character like that to die like I was looking forward to more you know like like to a further development it's worth rooting for this guy I was rooting more for Vincent than this guy at least wave out the alarm you know and I would do a better job at wiping it down like you use one tissue I would have used a whole box just just make sure that my fingerprints aren't there then he didn't even need his Pop Tart like was it worth it I know and he didn't stop the alarm from ringing now the cops are going to come and they're going to find the body that it's going to call more attention he could have like not the cops the fire people oh like that he could have evaded Vincent yeah Vincent would have still been alive if he didn't freaking have to heat up a Pop-Tart yeah that's basically the moral of the story yeah is don't eat a Pop-Tart if you're wanted by a mob criminal oh my gosh Overlord and you hear the motorcycle just like in the movie that she was watching holy crap I just caught that yeah and at the diner there was that motorcycle gang poster right [Music] through War to get his father's watch you know what I'm saying like every person that so it's his story is about being deserving of the watch it's like everybody went through a war to get the watch and he's going through a war right now that's the guy that's Wallace holy [ __ ] what the heck is that him yes look at the earrings shoot oh you screamed loud babe geez that freaking scared me you scared me more my heart just skipped a b with the headphones geez [Music] crazy and he was going out for breakfast too isn't that crazy both of them oh my God oh my gosh he just shot a woman what the heck dude this is so wild I'm making it my business toss the weapon it's literally inside of his business oh my gosh it's like everything's singing a turn foot off put your hands right now excuse me shut up come on oh shoot is he dead oh my God I don't know when they die or don't die oh man that was a lot said Maynard yeah the spider just caught a couple of flies spider caught a couple of flies oh no now they're both captive oh no that's a BDSM stuff yeah what are the odds huh I think that this movie is about odds too it's like what are the odds of things happening before they happen like there's no Rhyme or Reason To Life and graceful man out front no it's Thursday she'll be fine sure so he did call a cop security officer oh security I guess you just have to go wake him up now won't you um oh I don't like the looks of this it's interesting how there's a dynamic of power you know like Wallace was his boss and now this guy's the other guy's boss it's like a reflection kind of you know it's like reflecting back oh my gosh what the heck yeah what the heck is going on zombie no this is like a pup play oh I know I heard it going like snarling though I don't know what the heck is going on dude this is so wild [Music] what are they taking him in the back to do to him I think he's going to take it in the back just like you said could escape this pup guy or no just box him out or something yeah go run uh quicker oh shoot go back and help him or leave you can't let another man go out like that brother you just can't you can't you can't look it's like a guy code it's like an Unwritten guy code if you know another man is getting taken advantage of like that you have to restore Justice in the universe especially if it's non-consensual like this there's got to be guns up there look because the guy had a gun yeah the thing is that the guy was holding his shotgun so the shotgun I see a chainsaw right there right those are chainsaws I don't think so what store is this it's like a music entertainment store that's like uh electronics like guitars right but look a chainsaw oh [ __ ] it's not a music store to me maybe it's just like you know shop I think yeah it's just like home stuff I don't know oh my Katana I think that's how you say katana samurai sword dude that's crazy he's waiting pretty long I know right like he's taking his time dude every second I could imagine every second you know makes a difference come on yeah every second it's like I know he's just like slowly letting them have their way oh my God oh my God oh my god oh my god dude this took such a crazy twist I was not expecting any of this dude do it [Music] oh he's like a samurai now look at him that's so crazy oh my God beside yeah that's his right I was about to say like let him finish him off dude I still think that they should force the pup play guy to go at it with this guy now you know what I'm saying it's like maybe I have a messed up mind but that's what I would do I have a feeling that he's still gonna kill him you hear me talking hillbilly boy I ain't doing my damn sight imma get medieval on your ass I would too dude 100 with them you leave town tonight and when you're gone or you be gone you lost all your La privileges deal get your ass out of here no problem solved I mean at a cost right at Wallace's expense but that's wild dude I was not expecting this to take this turn this is so crazy dude what the heck what the heck is even this how does he know how to drive a motorcycle I guess he knew I was gonna say the same thing I guess it's like riding a bike literally who is he calling out to the girl oh shoot he got there already this motorcycle it's not a motorcycle baby it's a chopper come on let's go what happened to my sorry baby I had to crash that Honda will you come on now please she's kind of slow oh no come on it's like he's literally saying sin's dead baby that's dead is it isn't that a name of like a uh in an artist a musician I'm pretty sure I've heard that before it's like a EDM dj because that's dead I'm pretty sure I've heard that before Zed is dead yep the Bonnie situation and myself yes who dances passage I got memorized it's going back and forth those who attempt to I broke so this is tying up Loose Ends he missed well yeah because this is before because Vincent's dead now yeah but we didn't know if pit is his name right pit I think I wrote down yeah but even him they went to see Marcellus right after oh you're right I'm just wondering why they went back to show this third kid huh yeah well you gotta have an opinion and do you think that God came down from heaven and stopped man I was thinking it oh man I see some crazy ass [ __ ] in my time but just chill out man I told you it was an accident you went over a bumper oh my God what is this dude what is this as soon as I saw her pointed Timmy yo how you doing man it's Jules just listen up man me and my homeboy in some serious [ __ ] [ __ ] man we're in the car we gotta get off the road Pronto I need to use your garage for a couple hours oh my God talk about divine intervention huh yeah um Jimmy oh [ __ ] that's that's quent Tarantino yeah Bonnie goes shopping she buys [ __ ] I buy The Gourmet expenses stuff because when I drink it I want to taste it but you know what's on my mind right now it ain't the coffee in my kitchen it's the dead in my garage oh my god did you notice a sign on the front of my house that said storage did you notice a sign in the front of my house that said dead storage oh my God no what's with the language in this movie dude all right no Mary cats a little trial separation I'm gonna get [ __ ] divorced okay and I don't want to get divorced [ __ ] I mean I want to help you I don't want to lose my wife doing it all right she comes home from A Hard Day's Work finds a bunch of gangsters in the kitchen doing a bunch of gangster [ __ ] ain't no telling what she's liable to do he's married to a black woman yeah I guess what go back in there and chill them so and wait for the wolf who should be coming directly send in the wolf feel better mother [ __ ] that's all you had to say all right the wolf okay whoever that is send the wolf look because I thought that was Esmeralda for a second no 30 minutes away I'll be there in 10. he has a Gucci one nine minutes 37 seconds later you have to even like specify 40 minutes to get the [ __ ] out of Dodge which if you do what I say when I say it should be plenty you got a corpse in a car minus the head in the garage take me to it jeez big mess don't get me out there on the road I find out the brake lights don't work hey man if I don't know the most Tip Top let's go back to the kitchen Eagle thank you Jimmy oh man this is intense I don't even know what's gonna happen took us back in time yeah I think YouTube Falls to do is take those cleaning products and clean the inside of the car talking fast fast fast you need to go in the back seat scoop up all those little pieces of brain and skull get it out of there oh camouflage interior of the car we're going to line the front seat in the back seat in the floorboards with quilts and blankets so if a cup stops US it starts thinking this big snout in the car the subterfuge won't last but at a glance the car will appear to be normal they have to do this in like 30 minutes I like oh myself that's what I have in my bedroom how about you Jimmy you win Oak man very interesting so far like I'm completely enamored by everything in fact I'm switching I'm washing the windows and you picking up this school that's right that's how it should be I can't believe this is the same car well let's not start sucking each other's quite yet there's one complete clean the car which moves us right along the face too clean YouTube strip oh that's why they were in t-shirts yeah that's what I was gathering too don't do nothing stupid like leaving this [ __ ] out front for auto the garbage man to pick it up you know what I'm saying don't worry we're taking it with us okay gentlemen you're about the county before I'm sure he comes oh I was like is he pointing a gun at them yeah but that's what like that's what it's supposed to imply kind of it's because you're so used to it getting hosed down [ __ ] and it's funny how Quentin Tarantino is kind of directing him you know yeah get him up there a little bit over there it's like that's actual directing right there that's so crazy I've never seen that that's so funny that's so wild to me that a director is playing a character and also directing they look like a couple of dorks I ran into prison don't make me big oh my god oh damn we didn't even see the corpse till now monster Joe's gonna be disposing two bodies monster Joe monster Joe's respect for one's eldest Show's character I have character of course you are a character doesn't mean that you have character because you are a character doesn't mean you have character isn't that interesting yeah it's like breaking the fourth wall I've I've never seen this before yeah she's just a character in this movie oh another oh what about that couple at the Beginning Full Circle right yeah I just remembered them well we have to be talking about one Charming my Pig I mean he had to be 10 times more Charming in that arm along green anchors you know what I'm saying and they're Charming fellas you know like they're Charming people and they're pigs interesting I mean I don't know why but I can't go back to sleep you serious you really thinking about quitting the life yeah most definitely it's interesting yeah and without a job a residence or legal tender that's what you're gonna be man you're gonna be a bomb book my friend this is just where you and I differ got some that's interesting oh [ __ ] look but water into wine all shapes and sizes talk to me that way man if my answer is frighten you Vincent then you should cease asking scary questions I'm gonna take a [ __ ] my answer is frighten you don't seek I'm sitting there eating my muffin and drinking my coffee and replaying the incident in my head when I had what alcoholics refer to as a Moment of clarity to be continued to be continued just like this scene it's like tying up loose ends well yeah like we never saw what happened with the couple you understand me yes I said everybody cooperate and this will all be over in a minute well done and he's reading the same book that he was reading when he was taking a dump at Bruce Willis's house I forget his name Butch's house you were gonna say sorry I was gonna say the same thing that he's just like always in the bathroom when the action is going down yeah in the back it's funny because the the uh Quentin Tarantino's character jewels no it's not Jules uh Quinn Tarantino's character's wife was named Bonnie yeah Bonnie and Bonnie and Clyde yeah and then now it's Bonnie and Clyde I hate to shatter your ego but this ain't the first time I've had a gun pointed at me you don't take it and then off that case it'll be your lust I'm causing problems you'll get us all killed we know he doesn't die no problem I got it under control now I'm gonna count to three if you don't know in that case I'm gonna unload in your face all right yeah if you don't unload the case I'm gonna unload on your face that's what she said no that's what he's up to her you went it's yours open it what's in it it doesn't show it's beautiful God damn it what is it that's what I'm asking dude's gonna be all right it's gonna be all right promise that girl's on crack or something come on Yolanda what sponsor you like cool what cool correctamundo and that's what we're gonna be we're gonna be cool I love his character let go your gun put your palms flat on the table no sudden movements one keep it cool and his friends just in the bathroom the whole time Vincent he doesn't hear a thing yeah be cool man be cool now when you yell at me it makes me nervous and when I get nervous I get scared and when mothers get scared that's when mother accidentally gets shot you die that's debatable too and you don't want that and Ringo here definitely doesn't want that so let's see what we can do this is so tense I know right so intense I've been through too much [ __ ] over this case this morning to just hand it over to your dumb ass it's cool we still just talking come on point you gunning me point the gun in me there you go if I was one of the customers I would leave even you know while it's having like oh it's my it's my chance to go I'm gonna go home just hang in there baby you're doing great I'm proud of you proud of you honey bunny I love you I want you to go in that bag it's the one that says bad mother that's funny it looks like the thickest wallet too yeah she got that gangster money dude you better give me that wallet uh-huh he ain't gonna do a goddamn [ __ ] thing [ __ ] shut the [ __ ] up come on Yolanda stay with me oh my God I'm so invested she's like pointing one of her hands yeah finger guns and you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you I never gave much thought to what it meant I just thought it was some cold-blooded [ __ ] to say to him before I popped the cabin is it um all right yeah I'm starting to get it you're the weak and I am the tyranny of evil men but I'm trying Ringo I'm trying real hard to be the shepherd well oh my God that's so crazy so profound I was not expecting anything like any of this and everyone lost their money okay how's anybody gonna pay like not gonna pay on the house guys I think at this point that's probably a good idea [Music] crazy man I got like three pages again the notes oh man that's wild and all this food is making me super hungry by the way me too hungry just like that it's over oh shoot I mean yeah it's tied up the Loose Ends yeah I don't know if there's um post-credits scene I think I'll go first then and then I'll just like quickly run through all my notes just like uh we always do and I'll try my best this one was slightly different than the last movie we did and I guess you'll see why but all right because this one's more sporadic like it's not it's not a typical film it's not a movie where you watch it and there's a clear beginning middle and yeah protagonist antagonist problem situation solution like there's not that typical character Arc it's super sporadic super all over the place but it isn't like it didn't make me kind of like turn off from it it made me more invested you know because it's the sporadic way it's like life isn't linear life isn't well it is obviously linear because time is linear but I mean like life isn't this one perfect little story arc it's all over the place it's sporadic by nature and that's one of the comments that I have here at the end but all right um so the first comment I have is anarchist the robbery at the beginning Bonnie and Clyde that's what I wrote down so um honey bun or honey bunny or honey bun or honey bunny yeah yeah uh her so I'm gonna refer to them as Bonnie and Clyde Bonnie's the girl and Clyde is the guy right I guess I guess I don't know I'm gonna say the couple I don't know Ringo Ringo and honey bunny oh yeah okay so Ringo and honey bunny they at the beginning they were having a conversation about robbing and choosing who to Rob and that they're tired of robbing um liquor stores liquor stores gas stations and they want to kind of evolve into Banks you know robbing banks and then they come up with the idea on the spot why doesn't anybody ever think about robbing restaurants you know excuse me and then they allude to the fact that people aren't expecting to be robbed while they're at a restaurant it's just something that doesn't really happen and I think that that also reflects in the entire movie it's like we weren't expecting any of what happened it's like every scene was a question mark like every scene played out and then the question mark would present itself it's like what's gonna happen next like we didn't know like there was no clear linear there was no build up there was no kind of subliminal writing well there there is subliminal writing but it's not programming you in a very obvious way to what's going to happen it's very subconscious you know like her watching violence in the morning watching a motorcycle movie that had guns and stuff and then it kind of primed our brains into witnessing or at least expecting in a way Bruce Willis's character Butch you know um hopping on a chopper after getting into a violent altercation which was like super random and super by chance but all right so anarchism plays a kind of like kind of plays a big role here I think I wrote down our um Anarchy because it's very anti-establishment like throughout the whole thing like even Vincent's character he's very prideful and he doesn't mind being a submissive person as long as there's some respect but I feel like I don't I don't know like I feel like even even Wolf's character right he explained to that other character um that respect for your elders shows character right so having respect but he was on call and he's kind of subordinate and kind of works for Wallace yeah you know so there's always like a hierarchy of needs and uh hierarchy of control and power but there's always this idea of respect so like what makes you a person worthy of respect is it a person is it a puppy that does everything they're told just like the pup play BDSM um you know imagery it's kind of supposed to trigger in our brain that conversation you know and kind of like juggle those ideas it's like what makes you a person worthy of respect is it a person that obeys commands and does what they are told to do and then and then you even have the military scene you know like a man in uniform a general I think is what Christopher Walken's character was your dad your dad died for his country you know so and and then sticking uh watch up your butt is so symbolic because it's literally like that's what time is you know and I think that that's even like a little nod to the viewer by the director by Quentin Tarantino who's like here's what I think about time stick it up your ass yeah and then that's why the movie doesn't follow like a sequential order there there's no time structure at all it's all sporadic and so I think that that was a message directly from Quentin Tarantino to us saying like here's what I think about time stick it up your ass you know so um okay so people who are full are less inclined to protest I wrote that down because I thought about like oh like that makes sense like if you're going to rob a restaurant how many heroes are going to present themselves how many people are going to actually protest the act of getting robbed when they're eating and they're filling their stomachs right so usually it's the case where you're you are at a bank and then you have someone who's going through a lot of [ __ ] and maybe they're hungry and maybe they're more in tune with their animal instincts and so they they they react and they try to be the hero and they try to take down the bank robber you know like the chances of that happening are higher than if you're at a diner and everybody's eating with their families and having a good time and bonding over food that they're gonna like risk that moment and that thing for you know to like be a hero and and and and in a bank it's like already probably like a stressful situation or or you're you're just there to get this thing done and get out kind of so people who go to the bank and like that's the way way that it is and then when when you're at a restaurant you you kind of like relax so much that you don't even expect it so it catches you off guard even completely yeah and I would even go as far as saying like if you're at a bank because I also found it super interesting how how Ringo and honey bunny they were discussing like um oh like this restaurant the waiter doesn't give a damn the manager just wants to get you out the restaurant has insurance and so they were also trying to account for every possible um like loophole yeah like every possible redeeming quality that would come with being an anarchist so by default they aren't pure anarchists like they aren't pure uh purely out for chaos and destruction otherwise they would have shot up the whole thing and started shooting immediately like this is a robbery pop pop steal it that's pure Anarchy I that's like a person that's that just doesn't have any concept of like structure and moral and ethical Compass so they still do and they have love for each other and so I think that like these these things make it make you more tamed within Society it's like it makes you more how to explain it like does that make sense it's like yeah it keeps you from going full out suicidal and just putting everybody's life at risk and actually you know taking out people because they have that Bond and that connection and so they want each other to be okay and so they um all right I'm gonna move a little bit quicker uh emphasis on food whose food and taking the food so that was when um his name is Jules so Jules took the guy's Hawaiian burger yeah we were saying pit I don't know where we got picked yeah I don't know because I heard him saying pit but but Jules character took a bite out of the guy's food he basically ate his lunch he ate his lunch and I wrote that down because I guess like that's a very primitive thing to do it's like you eat a man's lunch is is yeah it's just [ __ ] up I guess and then 666 um Ezekiel 25 17 you know biblical references um divine intervention which I'll get to in a bit but I just wrote that down because I found that interesting it's like that's the devil's number you know like that's the number of the Beast or whatever they say so that being linked to Wallace directly and it's his suitcase so it's the devil's suitcase it's like they're carrying the devil's Prize or or they're carrying the the devil's weight kind of so these are mortal men tasked with not satanic but like devilish Endeavors you know because that's what being a criminal is you know or that's how it's viewed as but then the irony is that once you put that code in and you open it you see this thing that's glimmering and that and that looks like pure gold and it's I don't quite understand it yet so I'm gonna have to let myself process that over a few days um okay so Wallace talks about Pride but he seems to be the most prideful and the idea that he was the one talking about pride and telling everybody to put their pride aside you know um but then he was the one that got it up the butt so there goes all his pride it's like there's no more sense emasculated then and there right right so you could say that that was divine intervention that was God you know knocking him off of his um pedestal of Pride you know the prideful man falls I don't know what Biblical quote because I haven't read the Bible but you know like I would imagine that there's a passage in the Bible about the fall of a prideful man and that and that was Wallace but he was still spared and so he was spared by the person that Jules kind of describes as the as the Shepherd in that guides the weak men through the darkness you know like that was uh Butch's character that helped Wallace a lot of casual conversations I really I really like that I I've never seen because usually dialogues and conversations between characters always like serve a purpose in the plot and this one had a lot of conversations that didn't really serve any purpose like like directly at least but it all obviously adds to the World building and it plants seeds again subconscious seeds here and there but I just like the idea of like meaningless conversations you know like did you know what they call a quarter pounder in France yeah you know it's the Royale with cheese it's like and then that was used just to inform the guy that he shot yeah before shooting there was no other purpose aside from the one that I'm gonna get to right now actually so okay comparison with Europe more specifically Amsterdam uh France this was interesting to me because um hold on because then I wrote it again and I just wanna all right but this constant comparison right the American constantly Compares themselves with other cultures and I feel like we are taught and don't get me wrong I'm I'm a proud American I'm proud to be American you know I'm not trying to like do anything other than make a commentary on the movie but we are taught in conditioned to believe that our country is the greatest country on Earth but then when we like when you start analyzing the benefits and the positives of other countries you start to understand that maybe we aren't the best country in the world like maybe other countries have better ways of doing things they have better Foods they have better Cuisine they have a better culture um and America is just it's kind of hard to explain but um all right so don't [ __ ] with another man's automobile um that was Vincent's line when he was talking to the drug dealer um I think that that was alluding to what would happen with Mia Wallace and he was kind of like just just kind of you know planting the seeds in his own head it's like don't [ __ ] with a man's another man's automobile and so he he didn't go through with it but it's interesting that you mentioned the whole American comparison thing because when he's talking to Esmeralda and then he and then she asks what what does the name butch mean and then he says I'm American it has no meaning that was the thing that I was looking for yeah yeah see but but but anyways I think that that's interesting because a lot of people will say that American culture is like unseasoned yeah you know and I lived in Brazil for so long that I can tell you parts of American culture that are unseasoned yeah like there are a lot of aspects and that was exactly what I wrote down and I just can't find it right now but I wrote down that that he told her that there is no meaning because it's American like there's no meaning so it's the idea that there's no profound like there's no profoundness yeah in American culture it's all very superficial it's diner food it's pancakes it's waffles it's sausage it's this it's this like a consumer yeah it's very very uh it's very vanilla and then I think that even ordering a Vanilla Coke you know it's like it's very vanilla it's just very like hyper sugar everything is sugar coated which is another thing I wrote about wolf asking first coffee with a lot of cream and sugar but anyways uh cat and mouse game Mia and Vincent I just wrote that down because she was watching him in the cameras and I feel like she kind of alluded to that idea of like us being watched by a Divine source and not knowing that we're being watched because I think that that's what this movie is about too it's about God and the watchful gaze of God and God presents himself in various ways in this at least in this film like um it presents itself as Mia it presents itself as Wallace you know yeah um use of drinks uh social lubricants and also drugs you good yeah it's just my stockings they're like sticking to my leg no it's okay though don't we all right so drug dealer had a had a Speed Racer shirt so the drug dealer was wearing a Speed Racer shirt and there's a lot of references to cars and Automobiles and how you have to take good care of it just like when wolf let them borrow his car he said that if I if you leave any dent on it it's going to be two bodies that we're gonna make disappear um so and then at the end while well not the end but when they were cleaning the interior of the car Vincent's character said that he that he's a sports car that's in Red so yeah so he's about to explode and then he does explode and then he does perish and then he does die so it's this idea of like the American life is to live fast and furious and just full of energy and with no real regard for your you know for any sense of stability I guess I don't know or structure a drug dealer has okay so that's what I just said uh lighting her cigarette um equates to lighting her flame I've just always been fascinating and like fascinated by films when they show um scenes of like people asking for someone else for like asking them for a lighter to me that has a deeper meaning I don't know what the specific uh Film School meaning is because I haven't like I've never searched it up but I'm sure there's a meaning to it whenever like another man is lighting a man's cigarette or a woman especially because lighting it or a man is lighting her cigarette I feel like there's like a symbolism there which I'm not sure but in this case it's just him lighting her flame it could be like an igniting of for example like igniting of a flame within in terms of like their conversation going well like there's like a bonding moment so someone else like lighting your flame is like the ignition of a spark the yeah even if it's not romantical yeah yeah it's it's very intimate so just like you said like it's it doesn't have to be romantic it could be two men and then one man just happens to you know light the uh another man's cigarette but I think it's exactly that it's like breaking uh breaking a wall so it's stronger than drinking and lubricating yourself socially that way it's like it's literally directly lighting a flame and also I think that there's a risk there's like a wrist connotation to it because it's fire yeah so it's you putting a fire super close to someone's face and you can choose to burn them but you know so it establishes trust yeah you're giving the person that um your truck they're ugh you're giving the person your trust and you know doing it safely and then and then the idea of comfortable silence I really like that and I think it applies now more than ever you know people can't sit with themselves people can't sit with other people um they're always fidgeting on their phones and they're always just like looking for distractions and I feel that especially as a couple if you're capable of just enjoying and embracing silence I think that there's a lot of lessons to be learned with silence or through silence and but people are scared of it so I just wrote that it's a comfortable silence is very interesting um dancing is a universal and primitive language so that this one really got me thinking on like a deeper deeper level um so the way I view dancing is gonna sound super hippy to to most people but bear with me like just try to follow along um because I don't even quite know how to really like explain this but when you I feel like humans over time have evolved to really prioritize dancing because dancing is palpable proof that you and the counterpart you and your counterpart are not only compatible with each other but you guys by by dancing in synchron in synchronized like in synchronicity Yeah by by dancing in synchronicity you guys are able to kind of move in in a very harmless harmonous way yeah harmonious harmonious way through time and space so it's like a fluid motion that makes you guys become one and so it's in becoming one in the Physical Realm and then everything else becomes one as well like the spiritual the love becomes one and everything becomes one and you guys move as one through space-time yeah you know so I don't know if that makes sense but like that's what I kept thinking when I saw them dancing I was like it it's so crazy because it could look goofy but if you're the people dancing then it's very intense like it's like something happens it's very um it's like a drunk feeling almost like a trance yeah it's like almost a trance which is a transcendental experience you know like you transcend the confines of your body of everything else and you just you know just like move together through space and time and that's why there's that term like dance like no one's watching because when you're dancing it almost feels like it's just you and that person or even you alone just you and the world yeah just you yeah no it's just you just like you said like it's you and the infinite void of space you know like the whole world ceases to exist the walls dissolve and everything um music sets the tone for life I feel like Quentin did that really well because it kind of like sets the tone and the vibe and the feeling uh statue of a man in the corner watching I I just wrote that down when you pointed it out um I think that that again is a reminder of the watchful gaze of God you know like that man was just like sitting and just observing the whole room and from that vantage point he could see everything that was happening and maybe that was Wallace you know trying to like subconsciously intimidate his wife and like just remind her in a way but then she likes that because she seems like a person who like gets off on the idea of like living in danger and stuff yeah and that's why she's addicted to cocaine um idea of a bigger power uh always watching yeah uh what is moral and is Wallace God in this and the answer is yes and no like Wallace to me he becomes like a tyrannical ruler towards those who are under him and then the idea that oh like you shouldn't sleep with Wallace's wife because it's not right it's immoral it's unethical like you just shouldn't do it but then it's like Wallace isn't a moral and ethical man so how do you define what to do with who and is it defined by what that person believes in if that makes sense so by Wallace not being a pure Saint let's say you shouldn't act as if he is right right so I think that a man's character should Define what his subordinates kind of do or don't do right I think that a part of it too was the the like the aspect of him having the ability to just wipe them out yeah you know right right exactly yeah so then it's like I think that they respected him out of fear and not out of anything else and that's what Machiavelli said you know to be feared or loved yeah you know and then I I think that towards the end like they all start viewing their situations and the thing that they're doing differently which is why Butch tries to escape and why um and why Jules has that like Epiphany but I'll get into that too do you think that that was because they metaphorically speaking obviously like we're not having like a real theological conversation like a very you know like objective one that's very uh not objective oh my God I can't speak today very literal it's all metaphorical but do you think that they wanted to escape once they realized the fallacy of their God you know it's like over time because like usually like that's how it goes it's like these gangsters get in the life because they have nothing better for themselves and then they get a taste of it and they start you know um garnering wealth and respect and then but then they all get to a point where they're just tired of it and then they want out yeah so like maybe it's them seeing the fallacy and the cracks and the mask of Wallace you know and of the life that they were dedicating their lives to you know yeah yeah that's exactly what I well I'll get into it too but that's what I think is that you start seeing cracks in the you know in the rulers right yeah and the king and the god that you worship and and yeah um and then just just like you said I just wrote um in quotes I wrote I'm American our names don't mean anything so that was uh what's his name Butch's character um betting on yourself equals going against God so I found that super interesting because it just like randomly popped in my head as jules's character was explaining what he was planning on doing which was getting out of the life and he said that he doesn't have any real plans on what to do he's just gonna walk until God tells him where to go and I feel like him getting out of the life or betting on himself equates to going against God in this case God being Wallace the watchful eye of tyranny and also um Butch also tried to escape when he jumped out of the window and landed in the garbage bag that was also subconsciously alluding to what happened to the guy that's that massaged me his feet he was thrown off a balcony landed on plants or something and so uh Butch's character landed in a trash can in a trash bin and so that was when I wrote it I think betting betting on yourself which was literally what he did he bet all of his money on himself and he beat the odds that were stacked up against them and by doing that he went against maybe not God maybe Satan right because the suitcase was 666 and it was Wallace's suitcase so maybe it's betting against the devil equals you no betting on yourself is going against the devil making a deal at first he made a deal with the devil but then he went like opposed to that deal yeah by betting on by betting on himself oh my God I can't speak either and I I can't speak today guys because we're reporting a little late and yeah and it's Sunday right now um and I I apologize if I don't know if any of this is gonna make sense truly like I'm just like it's making sense to me but I'm also not here mentally gone yeah there's a mental gun I just wrote betting on yourself equals going against God uh go through a war to get the watch that was a common thing thing that was in Butch's family line his great grand his great great grandfather than his great-grandfather then then his grandfather I think and then his father all went through Wars in order to get the watch and so Butch had to go through a war to get the watch and I feel like that was like a thing where time belongs to those who are brave you know because if if you're brave and if you take initiative and and if you take ownership of your life then you will own time essentially or it'll be on your side yeah and I like that idea um Butch and Wallace distracted by breakfast again just emphasis on food you know we we we always um tend to think that we're so different but we have the same core instincts that make us human you know the animal instincts I guess and Butch was distracted by the Pop-Tarts which led him to an altercation with the man and Wallace was out to get himself breakfast and then he and then that led to an altercation with another man and then and at the end and walls are having breakfast yeah and and then they're like they're not even they weren't prepared like right away for the couple their card was down right exactly in the restaurant yeah so breakfast yeah like your mind's not right until you have breakfast yeah maybe maybe this is just some advocating for a nice the most important meal of the day they say which is what jewel said too like nothing better than a hamburger you know like it's a staple of a good nutritional nutritious I can't speak um chaotic nature of life oh divine intervention versus uh versus coincidence I wrote this down because I just wanted to say one thing that I kind of interpreted from everything is that I believe that the universe is yin and yang there's good and bad but at the same time they're both one and the same so it's a balance so one is needed for the other to exist and so I think that everything that happened was just a karmic retribution for your actions and so we all have choices just like if um Vincent had slept with Mia whatever consequences came out of that he was deserving of but he didn't so he spared himself for that time period but then he accidentally shot the kid he killed an innocent Soul kind of that that didn't really like require that and then he he paid for that by getting his own life taken right and so I think that there's a lot of stuff that's like a yin and yang a give and take and so when Jules gave the guy fifteen hundred dollars I understood why it's like because he's paying for his way out because if he can like if he killed him then then he's going against his own word and he'll never get out so he has to start now and that's another thing about commitment it's like be of what you say and don't just say it you know act on what you say and don't just like talk about it be about it yeah walk don't talk yeah and then speaking of blind man walks with the shepherd um yeah and then uh Jules kept saying that he was now awakened and he wasn't going to go back to sleep and I found that really cool I don't really have much to say else about that uh almost done blood is hard to get off Vincent because the universe and God works in karmic retaliation yeah so that's what I just said because when they were washing their hands too it's like Vincent again like Vincent couldn't get the blood off his hands and I think that that's what kind of led to his death is that like if you can't get the blood off your hands it's going to get off one way or another and so let the universe and God do it for you like everything is gonna get clean in the end so if you did super bad things then you're you know like things are going to happen to counter that because it needs a counter it needs a balance it needs to it's literally a scale like it needs to be balanced that's like the story of Shakespeare Macbeth and Lady Macbeth in that story well I'm not gonna spoil in case you ever read the story but she is cleansing um the spot of blood off of her hand and she's convinced that she is still seeing it even after it's gone see and so that's why for four Jewels who had his like revelation of wanting to get out of this lifestyle he was able to just clean it with no problem because he made that he made that word for himself and so it was like okay we'll let you clean your hands just like you said just like you were saying and then for Vincent it was the opposite because he just you know he didn't see it as a miracle he didn't see it as a sign and in the end just like you said his pride got him killed I was about to say that that the fact that he didn't evolve as a human through like through his experiences he kind of just remained um ignorant towards everything I think that that's what signed his life away you know like that's what got him killed in the end and then and then Jules just like he said like he killed a man but he learned from everything it became like an experience and so that guy's life lent itself to his Revelation right he killed the man but then he also could have gotten killed by that one that was in the bathroom yeah but being that he didn't he took that as like a a divine right it's like exactly it was like no so my life was spared by something greater than me yeah and so therefore I need to now walk in that path where I spare lives too yeah and then us watching we think well he just killed the guy so why did he get spared but we don't know what the guy he killed did he think what if the guy that was killed raped the woman or something you know but how interesting is that he got spared and then at the end he spares the person at the diner yeah so they're like there is something you know exactly there is a reason and the reason could have been that that was like his Redemption Arc so he has this Redemption Arc where he was Taking Lives but then being that he saw that his was spared for whatever reason he doesn't know the reason just like he said and he's gonna figure out by just walking the Earth and having adventures and whatever but he doesn't know the reason but his life was spared and so in that moment when he's confronted with the diner with the Ringo um he makes that choice to also spare or to just fall back into that path and then you know yeah he and then and then he basically would be taking that thing for granted that he just escaped like he just escaped death yeah and I think that the shop owner of the pawn store of the pawn shop he was placed there to kind of remind us that we don't know what these people have done it's like that was just a regular shop owner who just happened to have this crazy basement that he did atrocious things with multiple different people so everybody has a past and so the guy that Jules killed could have been a serial killer a serial rapist a cereal whatever it is and so he was doing God's work essentially like divine intervention spoke through him just like you said and then taught him a lesson gave him a sign and he was open to it and that's why Vincent gave him like like rolled his eyes and kind of scoffed into like oh it's like don't don't talk to me like that about this [ __ ] or whatever yeah so he's like just ignorant he's willingly ignorant and then I just have black people getting f'd by white men more specifically I just wrote this down because I found it super interesting it's like it's also very heavy in social commentary when it comes to the obvious use of the n-word by the shopkeeper by the um security guard and then Quentin Tarantino's character's wife is black but he uses the n-word with a hard r like that was kind of weird and so it's like black people are are have been getting effed by White Society for a long time and then when you see um Jewels interacting with what's his name uh Marcus Wallace or oh Wallace yeah so when he was talking to Wallace he referred to him on like a equal level as yeah negro yeah yeah so they don't use that towards each other and I found that interesting and then also he spared the life of the kid that was in the apartment with the cheeseburgers but then but then Vincent uh like without even trying and accidentally killed that guy and then acted nonchalantly about it yeah and that's interesting too because what was I going to say that I think that the fact that that Jimmy Quentin Tarantino's character was using the n-word towards um towards Jewels even though they were friends I think that it's because in that situation right where he was like oh you're you're trying to like use me he felt like he was being kind of undermined yeah like undermined and then he felt like in that moment his like white superiority kind of like ruled over and then it's like maybe to his wife he's like affectionate he's loving he cares about what she thinks he doesn't want to divorce all this stuff but then in in any moment that he feels that he's being taken advantage of or whatever then that reality is going to shine out which is what happened like in that moment all he was feeling was like you're using me you're you're you're putting you're putting my like marriage at risk and so now I'm going to basically demean like you know kind of like yeah break you down because talk to you inhumanely you know right because because men and humans in general look like we use the weapons that we have against threats like outside threats other people and so just like you said like this like they were threatening his life and so the only way that to that he could show that like show that back or retaliate was by just like you said uh resorting to his white supremacy superiority complex maybe even without realizing it like he just did it because I feel like that was the one weapon that he had and then the same thing happened with Wallace when he got you know when things happen to him by two white guys you know like that's their way of kind of like getting back at at Society at the world because maybe they feel like they have a shitty life and so they want to take it out on someone else it's like that's how literally how this like everything happened and I just remembered that he was using the n-word about the the kid who got his brains blown out yeah yeah and so that's another thing is that like that kid is no longer a human so now he's just like a thing and that's how he was like seeing like making his sound on two which is horrible and indirectly reminding Jules yeah what he is exactly or again in his eyes obviously yeah like it's obviously that there's a lot of racism going on because this is like post-civil rights and it's not that long after civil rights so it takes some time for that right so and and that's why the cop in the basement was when he was doing the any mini miny moe he already knew who he wanted to take advantage of first which was Mr Wallace and there's a reason for that because he is also a racist because again it's like the times it's you know that's the sense that I got and then he wanted to like again it's that like white superiority so it's like making him feel inferior this like big this guy is supposed to be a big shot but he's also black and so this white cop or white security officer whatever he was all he could think about is that he is the like dominant race and so he has to dominate this person first yeah yeah yeah kind of like that's what I thought because he kept taunting about who was gonna who he was gonna choose but I think that it was obvious yeah like because because there was already so much racism going on you know like the n-word being thrown around that I knew yeah I'm surprised like if if this movie came out now I don't think it could come out now yeah this is that's pretty crazy I wonder when did this come out like early 2000s probably I have no idea actually yeah just to finish off real quick so wolf likes his coffee with lots of cream and sugar I um I interpreted that as like sugar coating life and so he wolf came off to me as a person who's so good at their job that they just dissociate from reality it's like he doesn't view reality as what it is he he doesn't view a human life as what it actually should be viewed as so he just views it as a task that has to be completed in a certain amount of time he's very direct he's very calculated and to me I was surprised when his coffee was a lot of sugar and cream yeah I was expecting it to be black coffee it's like black coffee no sugar and cream no [ __ ] let's just be cordial just be direct and just be you know efficient but then I found it interesting because then it's a paradox it's like this guy is the best at what he does at making people disappear maybe being a hit man maybe being a killer probably a killer that he sold desensitized from life but yet he can't take his coffee black yeah it's like he needs to sugar and sweeten his coffee in order for it to be even remotely palatable for him well that's pretty interesting like it's a it's literally Bittersweet like his life is full of so much like bitterness that he needs a little see but that is proof right there it's like you need the counterbalance it's like he's doing these atrocious things for a living but you always have a counter bounce you always find Sweet and it's just like when he just disposed of the body at the place and then he's going out with a young lady for for breakfast for a coffee and then he's probably gonna smash so it's like you need a yin and Raquel Raquel yeah I just found that super crazy honestly I'm very well done all right uh just because you are a character doesn't mean you have character we already talked about that uh walk the earth until God tells me a place we already talked about that um if my answer is fright and you don't ask scary questions I really like that too um and I think I don't really have much to say other than I really like that quote and so I'm gonna use it in the future but what is what was it if you like if my answer is frighten you don't ask scary questions I don't know if it's exactly what he said because I wrote it down as quickly as possible but I just like that so yeah sorry and now it's your turn no don't say sorry all right so firstly I wanted to start with obviously we started with they were Vincent Vincent and Jules were talking in a car and they're talking about this foot massage and they're just chit chatting they're talking about different things and then they go and they ended up killing well now we know it's three people that they or all of them but initially we only saw two but what I thought was interesting and what I pointed out was that there's like such a contrast with like their calm demeanor and the calmness of of their conversations and then suddenly it's like it was so violent and that was always a theme too right where it was like as soon as things were getting calm violence or violence would happen and I think the main thing I wanted to point out about this movie is that there's no like life is just uncontrollable and so no matter how much you think that you have it under control you don't have it under control so then even Vincent's character in the bathroom where he's like talking himself like out of getting like out of having a drink with Mia and leaving and he's like talking to himself he leaves the bathroom thinking okay I have it under control he even comes out saying like Okay I'm gonna actually go and whatever but then his life it's like automatically like as soon as there's like a semblance or Illusion of control it just collapses that's so interesting because it's every time he leaves everything every single time and then same thing like he feels like so relaxed to leave his weapon out go use the bathroom read a book yeah and then it's like something happens as soon as he like opens the door like every time he lets his guard down and kind of thinks like oh I have this under control again it's like this Pride like maybe he thinks he's too good at what he does or whatever the case is um but every like every time he's let his guard down when he when the door is opened it's like there was chaos yeah you know and I can't help but but think that maybe there's like a and this isn't me intentionally trying to pay attention to other men's [ __ ] but there has to be a reason why it's like is it because like that's his most vulnerable state like when Vincent goes to the bathroom he's in his most vulnerable state like his pants are down you know his butthole is exposed and then he's like in the most relaxed State possible I think for any man is when you're taking a dump okay yeah and I feel like that's why we men or I really enjoy my time in the bathroom because I just sit down I take a book I just relax it's like it's such a relaxing thing it's like almost like going to the spa for women I can imagine but like my point is that there's this thing about the butthole like you can't Overlook the fact that they said that the guy's dad stuck a watch up his ass that um Vincent was always taking a [ __ ] and then Mark and then Wallace Wallace takes it up the butt it's like there has to be a way it's like the butthole for a man is the most kind of like it makes or breaks you right essentially it's like what's interesting is the thing that I told you like man supposedly okay have their G-spot yeah see yeah so I don't know like that's super strange right like yeah I don't know I don't know what that has to do with do it like I don't know what that what the G-Spot thing has to do with um everything else but I thought it was a fun fact right because then even Butch's um girlfriend she says that she wants a pop belly yeah right so it's this idea of like having masculine traits and whether or not attractive like I don't know like there there's something there like if you've seen this film multiple times if you've like analyzed every scene comment below and let and let us know if there's anything there Quinn Tarantino might just be a little bit crazy yeah he might be a little bit fruity oh yeah he definitely likes feed a lot yeah that too um but anyways again the chaos like there was a lot of contrasting which I was gonna say too that during High intense moments there was always upbeat music playing in the back and so like I I found that super interesting too where it's like even the music like it could be you know super fun it could be groovy it could be whatever words they used in the 70s because I think that this is when this took place because it seemed like it um um but but then in the meanwhile it's like all of these high intensity moments like killing uh people like almost dying you know or whatever the case is and I thought that that was super like interesting but again it's supposed to be the the contrast the balance like you were saying yep um I thought that this was interesting the girl Honey Bunny at the beginning in the diner she has a cowboy boot on her necklace and then later in the movie and I had to come back and write it Mia refers to Vincent as cowboy and he refers to her as cowgirl and I think that the idea of not only just motorcycle gangs and all of these other Outlaw things but the original like Outlaws were the cowboys like they were the ones that went against the law kind of didn't like thought that values were irrelevant you know moral is irrelevant it's like you live on your own accord and that's what their lifestyle is so then the illusion of all the cowboy stuff which was very subtle but was there was also supposed to be a symbol for their the lifestyle that they're in you know you know what's crazy that I thought about horse riding and cowboys in the scene when Vincent was talking to the drug dealer and then he said that somebody keyed his car and that you don't touch another man's automobile is what he said yeah I thought about how horses back then like you don't disrespect another man's horse yeah it's like and that's what cars are like if you really think about it like that's what cars are obviously it's the evolution of Transportation but it also has personality it's a projection of our personality of our character right just like a horse has like its loyal companion like it's loyal owner it's the same with the car so and that's why we have car heads like people who are obsessed with cars it's because back in the day like they would be super obsessed with their horses exactly and even Butch's character was riding on a motorcycle that said Grace on it because it's the grace of God I think yeah and it's like naming you know like it's so precious that you name your your vehicle your thing your non-biological thing that's not even like sentient and people do that to this day yep it's crazy um I thought that it was interesting that they were at a diner at the beginning and people are there because they're hungry and then meanwhile these people were just hungry for money so I thought that that was interesting and I think that there was a theme to like the hunger for money and and just how far it'll make you go so whether it was like being a Hitman whether it was like taking a blow as a boxer and and then not winning um whether it be whatever the case was but then something I wanted to point out was that Whenever there was like money involved like well I don't know what was in the suitcase which we still don't know what was in the suitcase but it must have been money I'm assuming or something but it was glowing just like we saw and then when he when Wallace is handing money over to Butch the money had like a red glow from the lights in the in the bar or the strip club or whatever right and then what I find interesting is that at the end um Jewels doesn't even care about the money in his wallet and so I thought that that was like an arc too where it's like money was like shown throughout the movie like glowing whatever whatever was in the suitcase but like this like transaction glowing and then at the end like instead of keeping his wallet because he could have he could have kept the money in it he said no take the 1500 and then it's like that letting go of the material the the like perceived value of money yeah so the value of money is what you give it or or what you allow it like I don't know how to explain it but what I had thought of but I didn't write it down because I still have to like think about what was in the suitcase but my current guess is that it doesn't matter what's in the suitcase yeah it's in the mind of the viewer it's like whatever you think is in the suitcase is by default what you value the most so on a personal level like if you value money if you value gold then maybe it's it's just you know bars of gold a very rare gold that's worth millions of dollars if it's whatever it is but my point is like the viewer instills the value in the suitcase and I also think that it's supposed to reflect like we go through our lives and we walk this Earth kind of just taking orders and doing things for these material possessions and for these material gains but then what Jules gained at the end of the film was spiritual enlightenment spiritual emancipation like he he he transcended the confines of the meat vehicle that we all kind of inhabit and so he evolved not only of in like a story arc way but also in like a pure human way and so I and so I think that the point of the suitcase and why it the lock for it is 666 because that's the ultimate sin is prioritizing or dedicating your entire life to being a gangster for working for someone to retrieve this and give that working your entire life whatever it is whatever you work towards chances are that's the ultimate sin because it's material yeah so if you're not working towards spiritual stuff then you're not working towards anything holy yeah that's that's pretty crazy to think about yeah that's really crazy to think about um the foot massage thing I I just wrote that you know I the whole like Tarantino has a foot fetish I'm pretty sure that he does because I know a scene from Kill Bill which I never watched Kill Bill but I know of a scene that I've seen before where the girl is like twitching her foot for whatever reason but it's like a close-up shot of her foot and then I know that that's a Tarantino film if I'm not mistaken I think that Kill Bill is maybe I'm wrong but no it is for sure because it's the part one part two thing yeah yeah I think so but I definitely do think that they're like he's a foot fetish guy you know yeah um hamburgers for breakfast sorry I'm gonna go through this quick no no take your time hamburgers for breakfast I thought that that was interesting because then that guy ends up getting killed so just like the cow that was slaughtered to make that burger now this guy is also getting slaughtered hashtag vegan yeah and uh and I said that too that because he said that he was about they had to make the contrast again where he pointed out that his girlfriend was vegetarian and then he said by default I'm vegetarian because of that and then yeah it's just interesting that he takes a bite of the me and then he literally just this guy's just a sack of meat too like just kills him interesting um let me see money okay uh Oh I thought that it was interesting that like every time there's we've seen movies like for example in The Godfather like they're wearing a trench coat and I thought like what I wanted to point out is that I think trench coats maybe were the option for people who would be like packing because it's like well hidden in this like oversized thing you know um and Vincent was wearing a trench coat so then I just said that yeah uh lit red lipstick like all of the women had red lipstick on and I think that that was symbolic too because it was the the girl in the cab or the lady in the cab Esmeralda the the girl in the bed um his Butch's girlfriend or whatever um Mia Wallace also had red lipstick so they all were wearing red lipstick and then even the Raquel girl at the end was wearing red lipstick really so maybe it was just like the times like it was just Gabriella Lopes is wearing red lipstick it's a little red um but I think like maybe it was the times and it was like just the trend but I think that it's meant to show that like the femininity of women and so also like the sensual aspects so like Mia Wallace and Vincent like they were very flirtatious and then Raquel ends up having breakfast with that wolf guy so it's like and then the girl in the bed even so it's like women obviously in this movie are a little objectified it's like you're just the eye candy you're just the pretty thing kind of has to be watched yeah it has to be watched over entertained even it's like I need to just give you what you desire and then that's it like isn't there like a psychological evolutionary reasoning as to why women like uh uh infatuate non-in-fatuated geez I can't speak today um how they make it more important emphasize their lips like I feel like there's like a reason why and also when Butch's girlfriend said that she likes his stinky smell like like she likes how he stinks I think that that's just pheromones and it's you know this evolutionary thing and so I think that like lipstick to your point I'm pretty sure I've read something in the past but I completely forgot before that it had to do with like um it has to do with something psychological trigger like something about even like reproduction and stuff like who has the ability yeah go I know what it is look this is gonna sound a little a little wrong but I think I'm pretty sure you guys can Google this and I'm not going crazy I'm not just a crazy guy who just thinks about you know body parts this way because I already mentioned the the men's butthole yeah but I'm pretty sure that women emphasize and they use red lipsticks on their lips because it's a it's a subconscious trigger to the man to what they can expect downstairs oh yeah so this obviously if you turn it vertically it looks a lot like what women have downstairs and so I think that over time that became a representation of beauty because if you put red lipsticks red lipstick on it really draws the Gaze it draws the attention and then it makes you more sensual because of that animal lizard brain that we all share it's like we just start thinking of like imagining subconsciously like we don't even have to think about it consciously what if the red lipstick is like a sign that it's like oh I may like I'm a mature woman who has gone through puberty impossible because of like you know all right I'm stretching possibly I'm telling you because I think that in the article I read it said that the woman's flower let's call it yeah is is um just like ready and just like ripe and just ready to be consumed and so it even goes but I'm telling you because because even Butch's character was asked to perform oral on his girlfriend and so it's like you know what I'm saying like it's there it's definitely there there was a lot of references to like how people eat things so I was like bloody or or do you want it like bloody as hell or do you want to crisp I thought that was funny again speaking of bloody and there was something else about that too that I wanted to point out um oh yeah and then the Pop-Tart in the toaster I thought like it was being toasted to a crisp and then it's always like followed by something happening so they both asked for their stuff bloody as hell and then when she got home and she accidentally snorted the heroin her nose was Bloody as hell yeah um and then same thing with the Pop-Tart and the toaster like it was getting toasted and and then Vincent got bloody as hell and then he got toasted you know no he got bloody as hell and he got bloody as hell so he got exactly what he asked for yeah he wanted to Buddy himself um okay then let me just go quick through this uh okay I said the same thing about dance that it's like an unspoken language and then I also wrote that it was interesting because she like told him that couples who like people who know that they found the one they can just shut up and and comfortably yeah and just shut like shut the f up you know you could curse and then we're like already in the deep end of the yeah and then what's interesting is that that's exactly what they did it's like they were shut up and and like kind of you know bonding or connecting with one another through this language that doesn't require Words which is dancing do you think that that translates to the discrepancy that we see throughout the whole film where just like you said like they have these calm conversations about mundane things and then it's juxtaposed with just severe violence and incredible gory violence or depictions of violence because I think that that's exactly what it is it's like no Small Talk No Chit Chat be about something yeah and dance you know show action and that action resulted in them winning the contest and bringing home a trophy exactly yeah because the only people that earn the show if you were the people who acted and didn't talk right wow maybe that makes sense right yeah it does make sense it's just acting on things not that's a that's a constant theme I saw too yeah um let me see sorry I'm just going through this let's count how many times she says sorry yeah so then I just wrote again like they they always try to keep their composure but then something spirals out of control and then they lose it instantly which we see with Butch when he loses his watch which we see like Vincent when he thought he got his composure and then he saw Mia on the floor almost dying and then it's like just that cycle you know where every time they feel like they've gained their composure it's like it somehow gets lost in an instant which is how life works it's like a roller coaster man right and then same I thought it was interesting that the name Butch literally is like a butcher and there's so much like references to like animals like even the way that they were talking about pigs and they were like oh pigs are disgusting and they always pointed out like when they were eating meat so it was like Steak Burgers bacon like they always point it out I don't know if Quentin Tarantino is vegetarian or what but they were always pointing out when they were eating me and I thought that it was interesting the name Butch and he at the end is the one that kills the man that was the most prideful which was Vincent because I do feel like he was the most prideful of them all yeah for sure maybe I'm wrong but sure because because look even even Wallace if he was as prideful as Vincent then he would have taken out he would have killed but exactly saw him take it up the butt and so that takes you being able to put pride aside and be very stoic in that moment and knowing what you have to do and what's going to happen and what has happened and that's when you like assert yourself within time and at least he could live by that word that he said which is that you like Pride will get you killed and he said that and so he like understanding that just like you were saying like he could have acted on his pride and then maybe even killed himself because he was ashamed or whatever you know right but anyways yeah I just thought that was interesting the the name um the animals and stuff Butch yeah uh let me see oh I I always see this in like shows and and and well mostly in shows and stuff but it's like the back of the head of someone who is like the the PowerHouse of that show or movie like you don't even need to see a person's face to know that they are the one in like in power and control and so Marcellus or whatever his name was uh Marcellus Wallace yeah yeah because I wrote down Marcellus so I'm just going off of it but we we only saw the back of his head with the bandage right um but we knew that it was him because he was the one that everyone was referring to as Wallace and and then we didn't even need to know like that it was him before we were told because we were seeing the back of his head and I feel like that's like an established exudes power yeah because you don't even need to recognize a person by their face to be able to be able to identify them can I say a quick thought that I just came up with right now in my head yeah as you were saying all that is it's so interesting because we see the back of his head and he has a Band-Aid on it and to me again I'm gonna you know beat this horse to death I guess but maybe it makes sense because to me it makes sense it's like him being a god-like figure not being God like specifically God but a Godlike figure it shows that he's flawed that he is this powerful being but he is flawed and the reminder comes through that band-aid and so we only see his face really up close when he gets in the accident and he's being helped by all these women who will gather around him and say like oh my God like that guy hit you with the car that's when we see him on the floor humanized so I think that even Marcellus Wallace's story arc is about humanizing himself and so any man who who gets too close to the sun he gets burnt just like Icarus right like he falls down to the Earth and his wings get burned and he loses the ability to fly and so I think that that's what he was kind of like going through is that he had to be like demasculated or or email emasculated he had to be emasculated he had to have a a physical rebirth that maybe uh triggered a spiritual rebirth that we don't see on screen but like he was stoic he was calm but my point is that beginning shot of Wallace was behind the head just like you said a very powerful figure you don't even have to see his face to know that that is God but then you are reminded that he's flawed and then throughout the film we see his flaw you know the the um Instinct of just you know he's hungry like everybody else and so he gets food he he's not aware of everything at all times he's not why watching everyone at all times that's why he didn't see uh Butch pulling up in the car and so you know we're we're all human at the end of the day I think yeah exactly like no one escapes life unscathed yeah so even the people you think have everything put together and have it all together don't untouchable right no one is um okay um okay I already went through that so I'm just reading guys sorry sorry don't apologize we're all just hanging out uh um divine intervention yeah I wrote that too and I've been seeing something on Tick Tock called like a Canon event which is like apparently it's like the the universe already has this set in stone and so it's just meant to happen kind of thing yeah and so I've been seeing a lot of that and so it's interesting that this was like talking about a divine intervention and then everything I already said before like he dodged the bullet and his life was spared and then as a contrast like Vincent just saw it as a coincidence and then I think that there's like something to be said there again where it's like they have like at the beginning I don't know the word for it but they have no like they they just believe that everything like values and and morals and everything else are just like irrelevant and so they don't give it any importance like even taking someone's life it's just like very unimportant it's part of the job right but then it's interesting because like having this divine intervention and I think that this movie was like Redemption arcs for people like it's supposed to show like an arc like some kind of Arc it's an opportunity to be born again right exactly but then some people just choose to ignore that opportunity when it knocks out their door which is what happened with Vincent yeah so yeah I just wrote that so then Vincent gets killed and then Jewels like sees it as a miracle and and it was a miracle for him what's interesting too is that Butch said when he killed that boxer he said that it's not his fault that that boxer was just a bad boxer and so I think that a lot of the them go about life that way it's like viewing it as a game and they're just players in this game and there are good players and there are bad players so if you're a better player than someone then you shouldn't feel any guilt because it's all just a game yeah but that's all I had um just basically that it's like they all got Clarity in some way and then in some ways it was harsher for some than it was for others right um well Vincent doesn't even get to bask in the clarity because you know which I was rooting for him though I was like I kind of liked his character but the more that I think about it I do think that he was definitely the most prideful because and the most ignorant yeah and I say that because again it's like he he was so like not in tune with things and the way that they were happening so he didn't understand the gravity of taking the like taking this kid's life especially after his life was spared like he could have easily died but he didn't see it that way and then again like his life was spared when he put Mia Wallace's life at risk and Wallace didn't come after him I mean obviously maybe he didn't know or whatever but again like he was spared because Mia could have easily died yeah and then so he was getting multiple signs of like maybe it's time yeah get out of this life look the heroine got almost killed this girl and your life would have ended look it's your heroin too right exactly and then your uh you came to like you know kill these kids or whatever but then your life was spared again it's like so he was getting multiple signs like over and over again and then he he just wasn't grasping it awaking to it exactly and so I think that there's something to be said there where it's like he was the only one who didn't have like an aha a moment yeah you know even like that little thing where he's like okay so I'm not gonna do anything with her because like that that was just him talking yeah it's like so yeah like that's so minimal to like in comparison to all of these other things that he wasn't changing about himself which I think that that scene in retrospect was so beautiful because because also he was talking to himself so at no moment does he talk to a Divine force a Divine energy but then his partner is constantly reciting biblical quotes and passages and so he is indirectly or spiritually in a way connecting to a higher power yeah and so Vincent in that moment like that wasn't enough because it didn't bring him closer to to the Divine and I was just going to mention this thing too like similar to how we're experiencing movies for the first first time we're experiencing new video games on our gaming channel I've been reading books that are critically acclaimed that I've never had the opportunity of reading and one of the books that I'm reading now is called The Alchemist by Paulo cuello who happens to be Brazilian in the book they talk about Omens and Omens are Divine signs and that one should always be wary and look out and interpret these signs when they present themselves and so if you don't act on these signs and if you don't put the effort into interpreting and assimilating them and filtering them through your own framework your own individual you know unique framework then you find yourself at risk of just you know falling off a cliff because maybe that sign is like it is a warning sign saying Cliff ahead you know like break but then you don't look out for it and then you just are ignorant to it which is what Vincent did and then you fall directly off of the Cliff of the universe yeah off of the balcony you fall off the balcony yeah yeah because of a lot of Omens and signs yeah yeah but see I do think that there were a lot of signs like even for example like Butch like he could have chosen not to go back for his watch but he went back for his watch he knew that he was putting his life at risk and what else you know um but yeah I do think I I definitely need to sit with the movies more too yeah yeah me too but it was really good like just objectively speaking um I like that we can just tied up the loose ends at the end and it kind of feels like a happy ending you know it does feel like a happy even though there was so much stuff like like heavy you know heavy things going on I think that that was purposeful where it's like you just like just like there was like calm and then chaos calm and Chaos it's like it ends with the calm the calm yeah kind of for the viewer I don't know all right because it could have ended um with Butch's character killing Vincent and then cut to credits but then it gave us like it gives the viewer a reason to look into each character and to see what their redeeming quality is yeah exactly so it humanizes everybody and even if Vincent dies and we know he dies we still kind of enjoy seeing him on scene and still participating still enjoying lunch or breakfast with Jules and so it's like again two Jewels point and this is the last thing I'll say uh pigs are are filthy animals but a person's personality is a redeeming quality and kind of humanizes them so even if a pig has a good personality then his meat is worthy of eating and so I think that that tran like translates not translates but that reverberates throughout the whole film yeah it's like and applies to every single person even the restaurant manager even the cooks in the kitchen the people dining everybody is a filthy animal until proven otherwise and that's what Jordan Peterson says he says that you shouldn't deny that we're all monsters right and and that you just make the decision to right to not put that on display and that's where Carl Young says he said or Jung Carl Jung says that um we all have our Shadow Self and that's the monster and that's our negative qualities but we should learn how to like have conversations with it and make negotiations and make agreements with it and establish some form of balance within and then we can project that balance into the world yeah but yeah and we'll wrap it up there wrap it up there uh thanks again guys for uh tuning in for watching this uh we can't tell you how grateful we are for how you know things are going I mean the channel just like I said at the beginning is brand new and we're almost at 10K almost at 10K we might be at 10K by when this video yeah at least maybe maybe not but we're almost there yeah it'll be a while to like look back at these videos because I'm the type that I get very um very reminiscent is that the word like I get nostalgic very nostalgic and I tend to just go back um and just like look like look at old pictures old videos content and this is a message to myself if you're watching a year from now or or 10 years from now um yeah just thanks for starting you know like it's just because like for some weird reason I've never done this right but watching this movie with the back and forth and the time and everything being kind of like the future happens and then the past happens for it's like this just motivated me without even thinking of just communicating with my future self and I won't be community communicating with you future so because we make awkward we're awkward with the eye contact on the camera let's go oh I have to pee okay and I was like that girl that was with her finger guns I have to pee in she's like I need to pee and she was hungry too I think right yo they were hungry for that Moolah
