Mitsubishi Self-Check Dorjee Series: Disassembly and Assembly Procedure

Introduction

  • Overview of the self-check Dorjee series and focus on the bowl disassembly and assembly process.

Disassembly Procedure

Step 1: Disconnecting Pipes

  • Disconnect connecting pipes (may vary by supplier).
  • Remove the plug to release oil from the piping.
  • Use a hook snapper to remove cap nuts from:
    • Dirty oil inlet
    • Heavy liquid water inlet
    • Light liquid outlet pipes
  • Loosen lower cap nuts horizontally.
  • Be cautious of electrical wiring if the outlet pipe has a pressure sensor.
  • Take care not to lose the orifice for flow measurement on the inlet pipe.

Step 2: Removing Cover Nuts

  • Loosen and remove cover nuts with a wrench.
  • Remove hexagonal nut retaining the inlet pipe.
  • Loosen socket set screws on the upper hood.
  • Tap the top of the inlet pipe gently with a plastic hammer.

Step 3: Lifting Sludge Cover

  • Loosen socket fasteners on the sludge cover.
  • Attach lifting jack to the upper hood and slowly lift the sludge cover with a chain block.

Step 4: Disassembling the Bowl

  • Loosen disk nuts using the disk nut handle.
  • Remove disk nut, heavy liquid chamber, heavy liquid impeller, Teflon packing, and gravity disk.
  • Consider replacing the gravity disk.
  • Remove light liquid chamber using the light liquid chamber handle.
  • Complete top of bowl disassembly by removing the light liquid impeller and inlet pipe.

Step 5: Removing the Bowl

  • Insert cap nut spanner into the bowl and screw release bolts into cap nuts.
  • Loosen and remove cap nuts using the spanner.
  • Attach the bowl lifting jack to guide tubes and tighten.
  • Bowl should float up; if not, use pipe in handle to tighten more.
  • Slowly lift the bowl to remove from self-check unit.
  • Place the bowl on the disassembly stand, aligning pins with grooves.

Step 6: Securing the Bowl

  • Remove bowl lifting jack.
  • Set disk clamp plate and fasten with push bolts and hexagonal nuts.
  • Important to prevent springing effect in the disk.
  • Tap the bowl nut handle to aid in removal of the bowl nut.

Final Steps in Bowl Disassembly

  • Remove bowl nut and disk clamp plate.
  • Set patch on distributor and prepare for removal.
  • Remove distributor, top disc, and disks, ensuring no metal/sandpaper is used for cleaning.
  • Soak disks in cleaning oil/detergent and clean with soft utensils.

Main Cylinder Handling

  • Remove main cylinder using push bolt and handle.
  • Fasten main cylinder onto bowl head, ensuring care with parts during handling.
  • If the main cylinder does not operate correctly, inspect and clean pilot valves.

Pilot Valves Disassembly

  • Remove pilot valves using a hexagonal wrench.
  • Tighten butterfly nuts to release pilot valves carefully without damaging parts.
  • Inspect and clean o-rings; replace if necessary.

Cleaning and Reassembly

Main Seal Ring Cleaning

  • Heat packing remover to melt off packing without damaging the main seal ring grooves.
  • Clean thoroughly before mounting the new main seal ring.
  • Align and gently insert the main seal ring, ensuring it's fully driven in.

Conclusion

  • Disassembly of the bowl is now complete except for the drink.
