Understanding Sin and Atonement Insights

you're strengthening the sin by doing the sin or dwelling on the sin and even when you're dwelling on regret and you're just dwelling all the all the time that's not holy either all you're doing is dwelling on sin instead of God when you dwell on that Temptation you're feeding the scapegoat it's coming back the day of atonement yor the central day of the Bible totally linked to Messiah and the link you can see it in Hebrews but also prophetically the day of the Lord when we all will stand before him and most Believers know that the day of atonement has to do with the sacrifice because the sacrifice is atonement but there's a whole other dimension to the day of atonement there's another half it's often the missing half of what people don't always think about or associate with it may they've heard of it the missing half is this the the atonement or the sin offering that was a goat it was a it was a sin offering but there was another goat and if one goat is the sacrifice and that's an entire dimension of yam kipor then the other goat opens up a whole other dimension of yum kipor there were two goats one the goat of sacrifice and the other called the goat of Escape or the escape goat or the scapegoat so with salvation these two Realms are speaking about your salvation and you can't have just one aspect or one goat you need both goats it's not just we know that the sacrifice was given but also there's the scapegoat part our Salvation in Messiah he is the sacrifice he's also the scapegoat but what is the difference first of all they would choose the gates the high priest the goat the high priest you just saw an image a representation of the high priest would have two goats presented before the people on yum kipor one goat he would he would actually have a an a a vessel he would reach into the vessel take out two stones on the stones were Hebrew words he'd put one stone on the head of one without looking he'd put the other Stone on the head of the other one said lonai that means or la yehovah which meant this one is to the Lord that is the sacrifice that would become the yor sacrifice the other one said laaz La try actually try it la a AEL and La Means to and Azazel means to escape or the the the name for the scapegoat is Azazel in Hebrew Azazel so the one was then taken to the altar the other something else happened at the end after the first one was sacrificed this is what happened verse verse 20 when he finished atoning for the holy place and the tent of meeting on the altar he will offer the live goat that's the at to then Aaron the high priest shall lay both of his hands on the head of the live goat and confess over it all the iniquities of the children of Israel all their transgressions in regard to all their sins he will lay them on the head of the goat and send it into the Wilderness by the hand of a man who stands in Readiness now notice something the the sacrifice is already offered up but notice he still must confess some people say you know with the sacrifice for us for you have been offered up in Jesus but some people say well once you're saved you don't ever confess it's kind of a hyperg Grace Doctrine you don't ever confess your sins because it's Grace not well that's just not the Bible that's the problem the Bible says confess one to another why if you're saved well salv in Isaiah 53 which I just just chanted from Isaiah in the Hebrew fascinating you don't it's written but in the past the present and the future it's all and it didn't happen yet yet it's written in the past as if it already happened and the present and the future why because salvation what Jesus did what Messiah did for you on the cross is timeless it's beyond time and space it is covered we have been saved we are being saved and we will be saved he died for every sin past present and future There's No Limit it's never too late but you have to agree say well if it's already covered the future sins no if you commit it you got to bring it back you got to confess it to God and be done with it and be cleansed still it says he will confess now interesting the word for the word confess is interesting it's the word yadada in Hebrew try it y yadada means to throw you're not just he's not just confessing he's throwing the sins he's and so confession is part so that tells you something confessing means you are ridding yourself of something because when you confess it you're separating yourself from it you know as long as you hide it it's yours but when you confess it listen this is wrong then you are putting a distance you are being a first step of being free confess but you can't just confess over nothing he confesses on the goat in other words you can't just cast your sins unless there's some place to land you can't rid yourself of sin unless there's something to take away your sin so it's not just you confess it you confess it over over Messiah you can't you could not throw your sins away unless Messiah was there to take your sins away we take it for granted okay I'm sorry God but if there was no Messiah we could never undo sin because it's impossible to undo something you did in the natural only God can undo the past and that is the blood of Messiah undoes the past when you confess your sins it's going away somewhere cuz he's faithful to take it to carry it it said what did John say say John born of the priest which is Yum kipor born John the Baptist born of the priest what did he say first one to say Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world what does it say in the Bible not just not only sins it says cast your anxieties on him too you cast your sins you cast your anxiety your guilt your shame your junk he'll take it what do they confess three things in Hebrew one is Aon try it aone aone means more moral evil perversity Mis crookedness and then the other next one they couldest he said is PESA try it Pam means transgression like you're stepping over the line Revolt rebellion and then the other one you've heard is TR hat means an offense a missing a failure or a condemning or a law so all these things Aaron and then later the other priests the high priest would have confessed the sins of Israel on top of the goat verse 22 the goat shall then bear upon itself all their iniquities to a solitary land and he will release the goat Into the Wilderness so now get this atonement is made by the sacrifice but it's not over man must still release the goat in the wilderness now the now the goats were supposed to the the rabbis when they record in the time of Jesus they said the goats were to look identical because they was seen as like the same one sacrifice it was in other words it's kind of two dimensions of the one sacrifice so one is dying the other is taking away they are both about Messiah now how would happen is the Temple Mount how many people have been to Jerusalem okay the Temple Mount is right next to the Mount of Olives there's a valley between the two and there's a Temple so they're on the Temple Mount and they have the two goats then the high priest lays his hands on the head of the goat confesses the sin onto the goat and then the goat is Led Eastward from the Temple Mount up to the Mount of Olives over the Mount of Olives into you know what's beyond the you know what's when you go east from Jerusalem on the Mount of you know what's beyond that nothing it's pure Wilderness it's desert it goes to the Dead Sea so here they would bring bring the the the goat over to the Wilderness to it says to a solitary land and release it what does it have to do with you everything most Believers know about atonement but they don't realize that atonement carries through your life you must do something throughout your life and that is the scapegoat first there's the power of confession as we see and that is again that you don't accept that that sin has to be part of you that you separate it call it for what it is renounce it unacceptable bring it to the light it's like the mold you know it's a mold principle you know in your refrigerator you got probably if you leave a dish too long and you do you've got mold why and it thrives in the you know mold thrives in the darkness but you know when you take it into the light sunlight it it gets it stops and that's just like sin when you hide it it grows when you bring it to the light it can't hold up so crucial to be honest to God with everything be on it says everything lift it up to God don't hide anything and again onto what they confesses it on not onto a table not onto a Pulpit confesses it onto a scapegoat why is that important because goats have legs it means the sin is not to stay around there the key and that goes to the next thing what are they to do it says You must release it release it when I went to synagogue uh growing up uh before I knew the Lord I went out and I and even after I knew the Lord I come my father to see it and and I went and it was more striking after when I went there on the day of yor the thing is I mean there's liturgy and there's but you didn't sense in the Bible see when this happened there was release at the end you were released of your sins you knew your sins were gone but there was no sense of that in the synagogue because there was no there hasn't been an atonement or a scapegoat for 2,000 years there's a reason for that most but many believers they just live in the Sin like that and there's no real release and you're still bound and you never follow through that God has part of Salvation is release yapor ends with release that is a crucial verb for your life you need a release in your life release and you shall be released God is the god of Freedom it says God has called You For Freedom not for bondage so the power of God is release those who are bound release if you're bound you there is a release the blood of is linked to release the power of releasing in your life the power of Y by the way if you're not forgiving somebody you're not releasing them and that means you're not going to be released if you forgive them release them and you shall be released forgive you shall be forgiven released actually in the Greek of forgive is linked to also let go send away you're free so there's atonement in the holy of holies or the sprinkled there but it must lead to action in life and notice you know the the the whole thing there that happened in the holy of holies nobody saw it but then what happened here happened in the court outright in regular it's like that's the holy you got to take what is Holy and apply it to every part of your daily life the power of release and and so it also the word in Hebrew means to literally send away you need you know God has released you by the atonement but you need to take that and release your sin see a lot of You release your a lot of have not done that and you have to keep on releasing it you know the goat is called again Azazel means the goat of Escape departure leaving sin has to God's will is that sin or bondage or Gloom or whatever that is H is to be departing from your life you've got sin of course you do there's nobody here that doesn't deal with sin but there's a way of departing God wants it wants it go going not just sitting Messiah died for this we are forgiven a messiah and so th that we are forgiven okay but now we must send away that which should have no place in our life if you keep it as your sin he said they according to this he took your sins that means it belong your sin belongs to him it's his property if you hold on to it you're in possession of stolen property so therefore you're stealing what is his so one of the words there that it says he he cast on the goat was the word or which also means condemnation even condemnation you lay it release it on your life you are not to live in condemnation you have to send it away you have to send it away why because condemnation like a goat will hang out with you un unless you send it away and so so many Believers are living in a sense of condemnation why cuz you never sent it away and then that other word we said Aon which means perversity or moral evil past wrongs failures that's also like a goat you are to say you know some people say I can't I I can't forgive myself well God has but I can't forgive myself well what is that what are you saying well you're really humble no you're not humble you are prideful because you're saying you're holier than God God can forgive you but you can't what are your standards higher than God send the goat away you have to say guilt this is not part of my life by the blood of Jesus if you don't confess it yeah you you you guilt you have guilt but when you confess it the guilt is to go away You're to send it away now we had a dog growing up named pudgy and she would Escape whenever she could whatever the door was open and and no one they she ran out escaped and she'd be out the whole day and one day she escaped and our neighbors were having a barbecue big steak they were preparing for their guests they were having guests over pudy saw what was going on she appraised the situation went over to the barbecue and took it away ran away with it ran away with a barbecue and they came to us very mad the the neighbors were very mad and that point we said we don't we we don't it's not our dog we don't our dog would never do that pudgy never do that so with a goat with your sins once you lay it on the goat you have to tell it goodbye and I have nothing to do with it it is not my sin anymore if I have given it to Jesus you say goodbye I mean if I keep doing it it's mine and then I give it to him it's not mine anymore you say goodbye you don't live with a goat you don't live with condemnation any more than you live with a goat you're haunted by your past you're not supposed to be the past is what you send Away With Jesus with Escape it's what what does what does Paul say God we have there's a Godly sorrow but it has no regret in it interesting in other words you we are to be sorrowful over sin so that we hate it and get rid of it but we're not Bible says we're never to live it with a regret regret is you're just living on the past well we are not living by the past cuz he's took he's taken the past away so we're sorry that we don't want so much so we don't want to do it anymore and now we can be free of it there's no regret there's no regret the regret is deathly you confess it you give it to it and then that was that third word your failures your misses your your you some of you are living with failures and your and what's happened in your life and the Lord doesn't want you it's a goat and God wants you to send away the failure it's done it's not yours anymore because the the Bible says that if we are in Messiah we are more than conquerors not we are not failures the old life is a failure but not the new you send it away cuz you're not supposed to be living in the old if you're living in the new you're not a failure you send it away it doesn't matter what happened in your life today is new we are living now if anyone is the Messiah he she is a new creation today all things are passed away including failure including what's haunted you the word also means loss some of you have been haunted by lost what you've lost in your life God doesn't want you haunted by what was lost he wants you to be Jo rejoicing over what you have and what you lost you send away you know if you lost it you lo you can't you're not to be spending your life looking okay I this has happened to me they did this to me they I took they took it away it send it away if you don't have it you send it away you have what God has for you doesn't matter maybe you wanted to marry a person you send them away that's your go if you're dwelling on it dwelling on a goat it cripples you you see it's not just to say I know my sins are are atoned for you've got a part in carrying it out interesting the goat has a will of its own so condemnation you know and these sins if they have their way they'll try to get back into your life sin will try to get back into your life you put it away it'll try to get back the enemy will try to get back in there you know I once I was hearing noise outside our house I uh in my old house outside near the garbage and I I go I look out and they're raccoons and raccoons are nasty not oh you have to love raccoons we forgive raccoons but we don't have to love them but they they are they they can be Brazen and they just stared at me saying this is my garbage now I mean just stared you know you know and why because there's food there for them you know they you know animals like food just like every but he does you know my dog pudgy you know you know what she would do is when we were eating as kids she'd go on the table and she would rest her head on our knees waiting for us to give food and she knew we would give food everything we didn't want we gave everything you know while our parents weren't looking she got it she got it and so she'd always go where she knew the food was and and she you but it was all good she was happy we were happy our parents were happy pudgy was happy so you know where where we go in the summer um they have we go on vacation they have a children's petting zoo and you buy some food to give to the to the you know the the animals including goats actually and we gave it to our kids our two boys when they were they I said come on they stick out their hand and the goats licking they're licking their hand they're like you they're like you know but and and as soon as one has food the all the animals will come over to the one who has food so what does that tell you what what spiritual Revelation does that tell you as it is with them it is with goats so with scapegoats you cannot feed your scapegoat it's the goat of departure so it's very important not to feed it in other words you go to some Zoo it says no feeding you go to some parks it says no feeding because the animals will come back or they'll expect it the same with your scapegoat you cannot feed your scapegoat you say but how do I feed a scapegoat when you you dwell on that sin you're feeding the scapegoat when you indulge in the Sin when you indulge in the when you take part in the Sin you're feeding that sin and instead of going away from you it's coming back you're strengthening the sin by doing the sin or dwelling on the sin and even when you're dwelling on regret and you're just dwelling all all the time that's not holy either all you're doing is dwelling on sin instead of God when you dwell on that Temptation you're feeding the scapegoat it's coming back you're strengthening the Temptation don't feed your Temptation starve your Temptation and it'll go away because it's not getting any food don't feed your scapegoat and again it's not just your sins that you send away when the high priest sent away that scapegoat he wasn't just thinking about his sins he was sending Away The Sins of everybody so what does that mean the same with the sins of others you have to send them away you cannot keep the sins with you cuz you're keeping a goat with you and if you dwell on the sins of others you're going to dwell on the sins of you if you are condemning living and condemning others you're that same voice is going to condemn you and if you you see just like you know the Pharisees you know they thought it was holy that they were dwelling on sin it wasn't holy they were just as Unholy as The Prostitute because they were dwelling on sin if you're dwelling on sin by condemning people you're dwelling on sin the faults of other mistakes of others Let It Go already whatever they did to you send it away cuz it's hurting you not hurting them if they're not with you it's hurting you you're living with a goat every time you're doing it you're feeding them and it's unclean and you're hurting yourself the same goat that feeds on the sins of others feeds on your sin goats feed on garbage so keep garbage out of your heart you got to send that away keep your heart free from garbage or they're coming back so we must send when you forgive others when you send away the goat it's carrying the sins of others and your sin when you when you send away your sins in Messiah it's also carrying your that's why it says forgive and you shall be forgiven or you're going to be stuck you know it says there's a scripture in the Bible it says the the merciful man does good to his own life you know the one who is merciful to others is going to do good to his own life when you bless if you judge others you're going to be judged yourself you're going to judge yourself and you're going to be judged send it away because s you know it doesn't want to go away on its own and the enemy doesn't want to go away the atonement is already offered up at this point but you now you have to send it away by the power of the atonement put it into practice and if you forgive and it comes back you forgive again send it away again cuz sometimes that happens you forgive that person and then you start dwelling in the tapes again you're running the tapes you're running that and what do you do you you just resurrected the sin that you once you sent it away so you got to send it away again as soon as it shows up again no I got to get this out the temptation as soon as it's coming up the moment it's coming up that's when you got to get rid of it you have no place in my life that thought of past sin you've got no place you're a goat get away from my life love keeps no record of wrongs but some no but sometimes that record comes up again get out get away release it and not only the the not only the the the condemnation of sin but the actual Act of sin you know see the blood of Jesus doesn't just cleanse us from the idea of sin or the record of sin or the guilt of sin it does but it also cleanses us from actually participating in the Sin it goes together it says the grace of God leads us to what repentance so actually as you get freed from guilt and the sin of that you get that leads you to be freed from the actual sin so the same way you know but he said to the woman you know I forgive you neither do I condemn you go and sin no more if there if you're still living and living and living and living in that sin and that sin then in that sin you're not accepting the grace of God because if you really accept it it's not cheap Grace you really know what Grace is it's going to change your
