Bible it says forget about what's happened forget about what has happened you know what one of Satan's favorite uh tactics is always to take you back to your yesterday to remind you of your past and to keep you trapped in the prison of yesterday he says don't going over that old Story how many of you have a new story since Jesus entered your life say Amen this morning come on it says be alert be present I'm about to do something brand new it's bursting out don't you see it come on seec our next 30 Years God says I'm going to do something new and something great in the name of Jesus Christ and it's going to burst out our best days are ahead of us tell the person next to you your future fut is better than your past come on tell that person in the name of Jesus it says there it is I'm making a road through the desert rivers in the bad lands so so everybody that drives well not everybody but actually those people that drive to go somewhere realize they can't look in the rear view mirror all the time except your beautiful ladies that are doing your makeup while you're driving and you call in accidents for us and you're texting while you should be driving you you are the problem for us especially on motorbikes okay so I tell you what if I see a lady in a car number one I'm cautious you say Pastor you sound like a m chauvinist it's just a fact girls please go back for driving lense I'm playing with you okay and especially if you see they're looking in the rearview mirror and they've got three children that they're dropping over at school and they're doing their makeup and they texting at the same time that's not multitasking that's putting my life at risk so the question this morning is do you live by your memories or by memorials we know some memories are good and they have to be treasured and those memories we have to turn into memorials I have a memorial on the first of September 1986 I came full-time with the ministry today I cele celebrate 38 years fulltime in the ministry come on somebody can give the Lord a praise for his [Music] faithfulness that's longer than most of you have been alive in any case so some memories are good but those memories have become memorials I just want to make it it looks like a a a a grave yard stone but it's not supposed to be okay um it's a stone of Memorial some memories are and those memories will keep us in our yesterday we have to let go of them you can't pursue the future God has for you holding on to the pain the tragedy the misery and the failure of yesterday so our memory very simply refers to the psychological process of acquiring storing and retaining information and then later at Free Will retrieving it there's some things we don't have to go back to there's some things we should not dig up there's some things we should not allow people to remind us of there are some things that have been eradicated erased by the blood of Jesus Christ can you say Amen so your memory involves three processes encoding storage then retrieval where's the problem retrieval when we retrieve certain memories and it takes us to a bad place and it steals our joy and our Peace So human memory involves the ability both to preserve and to recover information so you need to stop recalling your bad past can you say Amen this morning you need to stop allowing other people to talk about your past I'll tell you something about the blood of Jesus the blood of Jesus is powerful enough to wash away every painful and every hurtful memory so that you will not even remember cuz God himself says your sins and your transgressions I will remember no longer well if God says I'm not going to remember your past what are you doing talking about your past as a matter of fact God through your sins in the depth of the ocean and there's a huge sign that says no fishing he says as far as the East is from the West so far have I removed your transgressions from you so I believe today that some of you that are sitting in that prison a prison of memory God's going to help you to open that prison door and you're going to walk out of your shame and your guilt and your pain and your condemnation and your failure and your feelings of disappointment today is a cut off day in your life in Jesus name so a memorial is something that keeps a positive memory alive a remembrance not a tombstone of death but a tombstone of life so if you go to the grave and they go visit the grave which I don't do by the way I don't go to any person's grave site that ever died because because they not there I don't go there I had a person that worked for me and every day she used to go to the father's grave and she would sit there and cry for hours until a spirit of grief got a hold of her and I said you a girl you have to stop doing it you have to treasure the fondom memories not the final tragic moments where he suffered in a hospital we need to believe God to erase those bad painful memories so you can remember the good memories that you had with that person somebody say am amen so the question we have to ask ourselves is are we controlled by our negative past or by the promises of a better future are we living from past memories or are we building new memories in Christ if you live in a NE place of negative Min memory you will always live in a prison and Jesus came to set you free Galatians 5:1 the Bible says it was for Freedom that Christ has set you free Luke 4 the Bible says the spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to bring hope to the poor holy healing for the Brokenhearted new eyes for the Blind and do preach to prisoners you are set free so if if you confessed your sin that God forgave you and God forgot about your sin are you listening to me we have to talk about the memoral of Salvation this morning of course we treasure the positive memories the day you got married the day you were born not that you can remember it the day you did something great graduated at University the day you had your first child the day you had your God encounter those are memorials we treasure and we talk about them we hand them down to our children but we don't talk about our bad sad miserable memories because they will make us feel bad and sad and miserable and they will keep us in the prison that Jesus came to Deliver Us from so we talk about God's Deliverance as Israel did Bible says in one Psalm 145 one generation shall praise your Works to another so we have to talk about the things that God has done and we are going to talk about the last 30 years of CRC a documentary 7 Series that will be on on TBN and on other major television networks so that we can tell our story and share our memories come on CRC in the name of Jesus Christ and share our memories our memorials all the good things God has done in the name of Jesus because if you don't talk about your memory somebody else will talk about your past so even the difficult listen painful seasons in our lives we have to focus on God's goodness and look for God's faithfulness you lose a child it's a tragic moment but even there you can build a positive Memorial to say the Lord is good and his Mercy endures forever you can write over your pain you can write over your shame you can write over your disappointment you can write over the mishaps in life for the Lord is good and his Mercy endures forever come on for the Lord is good and his Mercy endures forever no matter how painful yes it's real but look for the signs of God's goodness and build a memorial I don't understand this but God I choose to believe that you are good and your mercy and your rever come on if you believe it this morning jump to your feet and give the Lord a praise for a moment [Music] moment so we have to write over the painful Stones a story about God's goodness I mean sitting here this morning is a beautiful young couple who lost their child at 40 weeks I mean that's not easy right going for a delivery the baby dies and it was painful tragic and you know when we go through those difficult Seasons we don't want to hear we're hurting we feel God what's happened where were you but I said to them the Lord will be faithful God will restore because our God is a god of restoration now they a year later they have a beautiful baby come on it's a tragic loss it is something they will carry for the rest of their lives but over that pain is written my God is faithful what the enemy stole God has re I serve a god of faithfulness I serve a God who is the resurrection and the life I'm not going to sit at a tombstone I'm going to turn my Tombstone into a memorial I'm going to turn my funeral into a celebration in the name of Jesus Christ I'm not going to hang up my hearts on the trees of Babylon and lose my rejoicing I'm going to keep on praising God through the valley through the storm through the difficult seasons of my life and I'm going to say the Lord is good and he's Mercy Andes forever come on give the Lord a praise today in the name of Jesus Hallelujah so when David lost his son in 2 Samuel chapter 12 the Bible so says David saw the servants were whispering and David perceived that the child died little boy died little boy did nothing wrong so what did David do he arose you've got to get up when life knocks you to the ground you can't stay there when somebody betrays you you cannot walk into a prison of unforgiveness when life throws you a curve ball you cannot quit on God you have to get up again I said you have to get up again you have to choose to say I still have a future I still have a hope in the name of Jesus so he arose and he washed himself put the scripture up please and he anointed himself verse 20 and changed his clothes from mourning media team scripture and he went to the house of the Lord and worshiped then he went to his own house in his lowest moment he didn't run away from God he ran to God he ran to worship God and we know how how David got there but David was not going to stay away from God David ran back to God cuz David was a God Chaser David was a Man Who Loved God in spite of what he did in his life he always ran back to God and I suggest you the same David did not quit on his Destiny did not quit on his dream he did not quit on his God his child died everybody stood around they amazed they said when your child died you were praying to God but now a child is alive and you're having a feast and you're back in your home and watch what David says he says but now he's dead there are certain things in your life that's dead there are certain things that are done I'm talking about that business that was that's no more I'm talking about that situation that person the love one you lost I mean this week we had like four funerals I know of one of our key businessmen passed away just a little operation passed away Etc and my heart goes out to the family so these things happen what do we do in in these crisis moments when when life knocks us to the ground and we feel like we want to quit we can't quit we can't walk into a guilt of or or into a prison of questioning God or questioning God's faithfulness and why Lord what have I done job never did when life knocked him to the ground and his wife stood there with a smoke on her face and said why don't you curse God and die do you trust that God is good he said no though he smite me yet will I trust him and he got himself all that ground the Bible says and he worshiped God I don't know what you are going through my dear friend but I want to tell you you keep your worship alive you keep your praise alive you keep your hands in the air you keep on saying in the clearing for the the Lord is good and his Mercy endures forever cuz I'll tell you the chapter you are in are not the Final Chapter there are chapters to come God is Rew writing a beautiful story in your life in the name of Jesus but don't allow the bad memories to put you back into a prison of guilt a prison of Shame a prison of of of offense don't live y as a Christian cuz Jesus came to open this prison door and this is what Memories to you you you you talk to some people all they can talk about is yesterday and the pain of yesterday and the wise and the should not have and could not have you cannot change yesterday there's nothing you can change about an hour ago you cannot change the decisions you made parents who messed up who feel that if I didn't do this my son would be in a better place listen listen listen what happened happened and if you receive God's forgiveness you are forgiven now it's time for you to be like David come on to step out of that prison door to get yourself off the ground get yourself back in the house of God change your clothes from guilt and shame change your clothes from condemnation and regret and put on a garment of righteousness I'm a Child of God I'm born again I'm washed in the blood of Jesus I'm a new creature I have no past I only have a future come on turn your present into a memorial for the glory of God and Let Jesus be glorified somebody shout amen oh give the Lord a praise get out of your prison this morning walk out of your prison this morning in the name of Jesus Christ you've been there too [Music] long so he goes back to his to his house and he has another child the Sun dies the business but it doesn't stay there he goes back to God says Lord you promised I have a future you are faithful and God gives him another Son Your Son meaning your future God says I give you a future and a hope no matter how bad things may seem God says I know the thoughts I think toward you thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and a hope but my brother and my sister you have to let yesterday go I said you have to let yesterday go because God says remember not the former things don't talk about the former things don't talk about your yesterday talk about the goodness of God talk about the mercies of God talk about the great things that God did in your life how God saved you how God protected you how God provided how God delivered tell your children that you serve a faithful God in spite of yourself God has been faithful can you say Amen so so so so so The Memories We don't want are the memories that keep us in prison so when Israel crossed the Jordan I want to read this because it's very symbolic what God does because we know when God calls the first generation to go into the promised land and God talks to Moses in Exodus chap 6 and4 and he gives the seven eye Wills that God will do that God is going to bring them out from 430 Years of Slavery and and and he speaks to the leaders of the people the Bible says they heeded not the voice of Moses because of cruel bondage and anguish of spirit meaning that they could not let go of their painful past South Africa 30 years later we cannot still talk about yesterday now don't look at me like that cuz you'll now put me on a different path here today 40 years from now we can't still talk about yesterday 60 years from now we cannot still talk about about yesterday yes there are things that still have to change but we have to talk about the future a better future we have to talk about the promises of God and stop going back to why we are where we are let's change what has to be changed and move on into the future that God has for us say Amen in Jesus name so that scripture that scripture literally means shortness of sight or shortness of spirit which means the mindset is so broken that the mind just cannot see the future that's what happens to people they go through a painful divorce they say I'll never get married again I don't trust men or somebody comes through an abusive relationship or somebody goes through um a a bad partnership a business deal etc etc etc and people who should be holy in the church are broken Jesus said I came to heal your broken heart I came to heal you I came to get you you out of that prison not just the prison of sin the prison of the consequences of sin that have robbed you of your Christ identity your will to live your focus of your future you were created in the image and the likeness of God but most people go back to yesterday they talk about yesterday they blame yesterday as the reason why they cannot progress and this is exactly what Israel did they blamed yes yesterday so when God said it's time for you to go they said we cannot they are giants it's too difficult we are not able and it kept them so a whole generation had to die out you know why because of a prevailing mindset that could not let go of yesterday 40 years sometimes I think it's going to take us 40 years in South Africa before we even going to get going because a mindset has to die out ah you're clapping so poor don't even clap if you're going to clap clap properly please or don't even [Applause] clap I mean I mean young people are hopeful until an older person with a broken Spirit tells them there's no hope a young person believes I can conquer the world and my dreams can be until somebody else tells them why it cannot be because of something that happened yesterday and some of you have proven those people wrong cuz you are the first one that got an education in your family you are the first one that became a doctor when people said you could not you are the first one that broke the barriers you are the first one who had the ability in your bloodline to change your mind come on and to rise to the place that God said you could be but you have to let go of yesterday and you have to embrace what God says I have for you the future that I have for you so when the new generation Comes This is 45 years later God says to Joshua to again choose 12 leaders now remember 12 leaders cost them the first time to go into the Promised Land right because of their mindset what what was their report in our minds we were like grass Hoppers and so we were in this what was the problem they could not believe what God said they held on to the memories of Oppression so when God says I am your God I will deliver you I will rescue you I will bring you out from the burdens of the Egyptians I will perform my word I will keep my Covenant they could not hear it because of their bad memories they were stuck in a prison they had to die you know what I had to die it wasn't the people had to die physically it was a mindset because they could not shift their mindset until you don't shift your mindset you will not move that's why God says do not remember the former things what are the former things the for of things the former things he says do not remember them he says do not consider them meaning don't plan your life on what happened in your past plan your life on the promises that God Made For You could have God said that God will fulfill it amen and I say it again you can't change yesterday you can't change what happened this year you can't change what went wrong in your business you can learn get up dress up show up and get on with your life as a man woman of God build the life that God has for you so again he calls 12 leaders in verse 5 the Bible says and Joshua said to them cross over before the Ark of the Lord your God into the midst of the Jordan and each one of you take a stone on his shoulder according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel that this may be a sign among you when your children ask you in time to come saying what do these Stones mean then you shall answer them that the Waters of the Jordan were cut off before the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord when a crossed over the when we crossed over the Jordan the Waters of the Jord Jordans were out of or cut off and these Stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel so what is God saying he says this generation you are crossing the Jordan River you will now put 12 Stones there as a memorial that I have cut the reproach from Egypt off of you that's why the first thing that hold on to them and people do now number one well there are two reasons guilt unforgiveness oh my word I can I'm I'm going to do a sermon soon on unforgiveness because unforgiveness is the worst prison you can be in unforgiveness you can stay sit in church Shala Hallelujah you're doing it in a prison you've not forgiven your husband you always talk about him you haven't forgiven your wife you always talk about her every time you meet with your friends you yuck yuck yuck yuck yuck yuck yuck yuck yuck you spit you spew vomit girl you've got unforgiveness you better go read Matthew 18 you better read about forgiveness the Bible says when you come you forgive that your father in Heaven May forgive you says if you do not forgive neither will your father forgive you that's the number one prison Christians are in they offended somebody offended them and in marriage this happens people get offended the other wife withdraws she lives in another room she moves out she's offended and what does she do she violates the marriage because she's offended she's got unforgiveness bitterness resentment eventually hatred and then she stands in church and I don't mean this to any woman because I don't actually know what you're going through and stand in chur and I Love You Lord God says honey honey I can't receive your praise because when you come to the altar to worship me you first go get reconciled to your brother or you worship me in a prison and I I don't hear the worship of prisoners I've opened the prison door and you choose to walk back because of something that happened and yet every day the Lord teaches us and when you stand praying part of the prayer the Lord T the disciples to pray which we call the Lord's Prayer is every day forgive those who sin against us every day God teaches us to forgive people every day number one thing that keeps people here where they lose their joy and their peace memories because they were hurt they were lied to they were betrayed there are issues that piled up whatever it is and yeah they are and they're not free they act free because we can all be actors but they're not free because they have not been transparent 70 * 7 for the same thing and he says if you do not forgive your brother from your heart neither will your father forgive you there's no reason that any one of you can find to Harbor unforgiveness or bitterness because your sins were many even if you acted like a little angel when you came out of your mother's womb and they put that beautiful little baby dress on you and the picture of that baby dress is against the wall and you look like an angel you weren't an angel you were a little sinner you were born into sin you were a sinner you had to be saved and how did you get saved through God's forgiveness unconditional forgiveness that God forgave you all your sin having forgiven you all your trespasses and what does forgiveness mean listen what does forgiveness mean forgiveness means forgetting so people say I will forgive but I will not forget excuse me having forgiven you you what say it you what you what my word you what I'm going to fly away earlier cuz you're not talking to me you what forgiving you you've done what so if you talk about a so if you talk about it again what does it mean is exam SK so if you talk about it again what does it mean you you have not forgotten it and why have you not forgotten it ah Haven forgiven now the prison of guilt is exactly the same God forgave you but you choose to go back yeah cuz it makes you feel what huh unworthy shameful and some people like to live in that space of feeling unworthy beautiful television audience I love you God loves you receive the mercy and the grace of the Lord Jesus and be free that's why Jesus came God bless you amen amen so so so my my my my unforgiveness towards people is what puts me in this prison my unforgiveness toward myself which is actually a bigger deal I couldn't have I shouldn't have I if I did if if if if if and you know people especially your family are very good to remind you of everything you've done wrong and then they run around you like they're little angels and they they're actually Little Devils other the parents know what I'm talking about stop acting like your child is a little angel he's not you know he's a devil that no I'll me I know what I'm saying regret remorse condemnation is because you choose and I want to say it very frankly you choose not God you you choose not to forgive yourself you and and you need to start asking question why do you like feeling shamed guilty full of regret remorse has that become your identity so you can talk to people about your pain and your shame shame and your remorse and your regret or are you willing to walk out of this prison this morning and turn this prison into Memorial that I was blind but now I see I was lost but now I'm found come on I lost the way but I found the way again I was dead but I'm alive now come on I backslid like Peter but I found my way back to Jesus I was the prodical son that run from my father's house but I'm back home I said I'm back home and I'm fully restored and I'm not going to talk about my past when I lived in a pig ey because my father received me and he put a robe of righteousness upon me and a ring on my finger and sandals on my shoes this is who I am because that is what he says come on my brother and my sister turn this cage turn this prison this prison that the only way you can get there are your memories and your memories youel elect them you select when you retrieve them you you select when you resurrect them the Bible says You cast every thought down the Bible says you bring every thought to obedience to Christ in the name of Jesus so if listen if that's where you are it's your [Music] choice and it's your choice to take to walk out because Jesus opened the prison door to deliver you from your failure your fear your rejection your offense your guilt your mistake your sin your shame your rejection whatever you've gone through whatever life has thrown against you because that's what life does life wants to take you back to a prison and there's only two ways and it involves people other people and you you you know why people end up um in substance abuse me now past 38 years think I know a little bit of what I'm talking about huh do you know why coping mechanism you know why most of them lack of love and acceptance the very need of humanity why Jesus came love and acceptance the the the the the way to recover an addict it's not Rehabilitation we put many people in reab they come back in their laps it's for love when this person walks out of the cage he he there better be somebody waiting for [Music] him not not not somebody telling him how unworthy he is and how bad he is and how how undeserving is but somebody that actually says to him you're free Look What the Lord Has done for you and and and I'll tell you now my brother if there's nobody who is waiting on the other side of your prison there is the one who opened the prison doors come on his name is Jesus Christ and he's standing on the other side and he's opened that door and he says you're a new creature he says when you were dead in your sin and your trespasses I died for you he said I've made a New Covenant with you I've written my laws and your heart your sins and your iniquities I will no longer remember so my brother my sister make up your mind today to be free make up your mind to be free make up your mind to be free make up your mind to turn your pres into a memorial of God's salvation and I tell you if people want to take you back to that prison you better say to them you talk to their hand in the name of Jesus Christ and you move on if people remind you of your past you remind them of their future in the name of Jesus Christ you are forgiven you are washed you are Sanctified you're a new creature in Christ the Bible says clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ the Bible says put off the old and put on the the new and Paul says Paul he says this one thing I do forgetting what is behind there are certain things behind you that you should not give them the time of day you should not waste your time thinking about those things that are behind cuz if it steals your peace and your joy and you've received God's forgiveness you are allowing Satan to exploit you and if God says forget he knows you can forget and if you refuse to forget and you continually retrieve that hurt and pain has become your identity and even there Jesus says I've come to heal your broken heart so you talk to all your friends about this and this and all your your hurts and your disappointments and what are you doing you're reopening a w it's it's like a w Jesus trying to heal and you're opening the scabs all the time because you talking you're recalling those memories all the time you no one else you you and if somebody throws bite and say oh I know you were a drunkard yes I was but I'm a drunkard no more more I'm born again I'm washed in the blood that man that you knew is no more I'm free don't let people take you back to your past come on don't take yourself back to your past in the name of Jesus God says I have a future for you God says those who are righteous have a hope in a future God talks about about your future why because not even God can change yesterday only God can do is launch you on the path of your future he's erased your past he's eradicated your past and I Pray by the power of the Holy Ghost that the power of the blood of Jesus Christ will somehow get a hold of your conscience and your mind and your memories and your thoughts and that every stronghold of your life will be broken in the name of Jesus Christ and that you will separate yourself from those people who cannot affirm you everybody that pulls you down put a between you and those people and look for the people who will affirm you look for the people who will Speak Life over you look for the people that will tell you that's not who you are Jesus died for you Jesus Sanctified you Jesus washed you come my brother this is who you are and renew your mind to think the thoughts of God so you can live the life that God has for you free Like an Eagle to so to the he light in the sky no matter what happened yesterday as sad as bad as painful as tragic as it can be as it might be God says forget remember not huh hello maybe you've gone through a difficult season for 7 years 8 years 9 years 10 years I don't know but girl my brother until you don't do this adjustment in your head you're staying there no one can help you your will mind emotion is Sovereign your ability to recall things at will is Sovereign I'm saved like 40 something years if I want to I can recall my teenage years I can I can recall what I did can I huh you can recall it why don't we do it doesn't glorify God so do what do we have positive memorials that we talk about and not you you've you you you've gone through a broken relationship and now please listen to me be smart now you're dating a new girl and you're talking about the previous girl how bad she was but then you talk about the girl before that girl how bad she was careful now except if that girl only has two brain cells she's going to figure out not everybody could be that bad they're talking too much amen says that lady you're talking to me there has to be a cut off place there has to be a circumcision has to or you will drag this into your future and Paul says lay aside every weight that you may run take the best athlete go put 20 kg upon him and in the 100 met Sprint let's see if he's going to win you're running with excess weight by choice choice I don't care what other people did oh this one did this that one that us blah blah blah blah blah blah blah yes and it's not what people do that matters it's how you respond if people go around and say of is a drunker am I going to even respond say what you want why should I respond respond if it's untruth why your opinion matters not what matters is my opinion my walk so if if if people take you back to your past all the time I suggest you put some daylight between them I suggest you become smart and you begin to focus on what Jesus did for you and focus on the future that God has for you and you have to fix in South Africa but we are not going to let the politicians take us back 30 years and then 10 years from now 40 years and then 50 years from now 50 years and always blame somebody else why we cannot get ahead as a nation let this new coalition government fix this country as they promis do their job and stop blaming yesterday in the name of Jesus Christ say it this morning say I have a future say it say I have a glorious future say I have a hope because of Jesus say it today today I let go of every painful memory in Jesus name and I forgive every every person that sinned against me and father through your grace I forgive I forgive I forgive myself in the name of Jesus so I am forgiven freely Justified I have a future and a hope I let go of my past and I embrace all that you have that you have today is of a god that is angry that is standing and waiting with a black book and a stick waiting to hit you with all the things that you've done but as we heard again and again this morning there's a God that loves you and this whole service is coming to this point because God wants your attention as every head is bowed and every eye closed and Believers praying you're standing in this place and you have no memorial date the day that you gave your life to Christ I'm not asking you do you have a church membership I'm not even asking you did you do did you belong to a church somewhere but I'm asking you do you have a living relationship with Jesus Christ because each one of us have a date a date that the old man has passed the old man has died and every time the devil reminds us we can remind them that this is the day that I got saved saved many of you are standing here and you're not even sure of Heaven is your home you don't have that Assurance of Salvation in the inside of your heart that you know that you know that heaven is where you're going to go or maybe you used to serve God but for whatever reasons you've drifted away things have crept in and you're bound again and you're in prison but God is saying to you the door is open today you need to push it open and accept the love and the mercy that he has towards you say if that is you quietly wherever you are and you say God I want to come back to you I want to give my life to you I cannot live this life without you that the 1st of September is going to become my memorial date in 2024 the day that I gave my life to Christ the day that you saved me the day that you moved me in a total New Direction as I accepted your love if that is you quietly wherever you are just slip up your hand now and say Jesus this is me coming back to you as we would love to pray for you the hands are being lifted all over thank you so much if you've lifted it you can put it down for us come on there are many of you that are standing and you have this uneasiness on the inside of your heart it's like your whole tummy is in a notot that is God some of you Tred to fill that void that you have in the inside through relationships substance abuse so many things but there's only one that can fill that void and his name is Jesus and if you have not raised your hand yet wherever you are just slip it up quietly as you have a responsibility to go write today's date as a memorial in your Bible and every time Satan reminds you of the things that you've done you just remind him of that date and say this is my Memorial This Is The Day My Life got changed I'm a brand new person and you hold on to that every one of us that's in this building have a date mine is 20 2nd of June 2007 and it's a date that I hold on to it's been over 17 years and in 17 years I've seen the goodness of God and you're going to see exactly the same that every time that you come back and on that date you're going to be reminded how far you've come and God loves you and in a moment we're going to pray for you and we're going to lead you in a prayer and then we're going to take you into a room that we would love to pray for you someone just to quickly sit with you pray with you a few moments and we want to get all the information so that we can make sure we follow up you to tomorrow that we can call you because you're part of the family now we just don't want you just to come to the Altar and not remain part of the family it's it's important to us that we call you tomorrow and walk this journey with you because there's still a journey to walk through many of these things that we have to forget there still our minds has to be renewed and we have to forgive ourselves as God has forgiven us today so please be so kind just to put your hand on your heart and close your eyes focus on the one that has touched you and I'm going to lead you in prayer and God's going to come come and save you say dear Lord Jesus I come to you today and I ask you to forgive me of all my sins of all my Lord I believe I believe that you died on the cross died on the that you Rose again you again and you live forever more I thank you Father that I accept your forgiveness AC that from today I'm a brand new person the old has pass and the new has come thank you Father thank you Father that from today to I have a new date I have AE a memorial memorial of your goodness and your mercy in Jesus name amen amen family it's important the 1st of September 2024 you're going to remember this date because there will come times that tomorrow the darkness through our beautiful ashes campaign in South Africa bwana and Namibia we truly saw overflow we witnessed 6,00 738 women and children gave their lives to Jesus Through 140 outreaches that took place as part of this campaign we distributed 11,832 care crates to the most vulnerable in our communities and had over a th000 CRC volunteers involved as part of our beautiful ashes campaign and in celebration of 30 years of CRC CRC women revamped 60 victim friendly rooms in 32 facilities nationally thank you to every CRC member generous giver and volunteer for partnering with us as we
