Trip to Kuala Lumpur and Genting Highlands, Malaysia

hey guys today I'm in koala lur Malaysia I cannot believe I'm here and right behind me you have the bat caves bat caves I'm about to go up it's about I believe 250 steps going up uh I'm here surrounded by monkeys by the way I don't know if you guys can see them uh yeah I this is so incredible guys wow Malaya I you know the name koala lur is a name that since I was little I remember hearing this name and I I used to say that's that's a cool name like what a cool name of a city quala lumur and I'm here now by the way there's so many monkeys here I love monkeys I have always loved monkeys they're little gangsters so I'm here with Lucas who is the tour guide for the day what's up Lucas say hello I wanted to ask you some questions about the history of it so bat what is the meaning of bat bat in Bahasa Malay or the language it literally means Stone or Rock okay stone or rock yeah okay and uh and this is this is a God in in Hindu religion right yes it's a God is the god of what the we can call him a god of war the the Hindu god of war okay and um is there like um is there a meaning of going up the steps all the way up there is there like a temple up there something like that yeah there is a temple up there okay called the main Temple all right so basically why do people actually go all the way up okay because it is actually to show that how they actually commemorate L mugan himself oh okay to pay the respect to okay fascinating fascinating I wanted to ask what is the population of Malaysia how many people live in Malaysia Malaysia as of right now should be around 43 million 43 million somewhere around there okay and you were telling us in the tour earlier today that uh you have uh different races from different countries or or different yeah like different countries so watch are those yeah uh first all we have the Malay people right they considered as a primary race okay second we have Chinese people okay okay and then we have the Indian people Indian people okay okay we we do have more we do have more all right we have the uh main among all okay before this stre arrive we have the or ASI or the native people over here and then on the on the East Malaysia In The Boro Island we have the people from sabba and people from saraba from Sub City tribes yeah so different kind of people so it's very Multicultural here yeah very Multicultural I love it that's really awesome great lookas I'm excited for the rest of the tour today I'm going to go up there you should so wish me luck good luck okay you thank you all right let's do this look at them playing cleaning each other [Music] up you know what I haven't worked out in a few days so I'm trying to run up I may be regretting this later hi okay I have a little bit to go maybe 3/4 of the way there definitely a workout woo but it's going to be worth it made it to the top yes bad 2 Cas it's amazing see how going up all the way here you find these caves they are still so high inside and this is pretty much inside a big mountain they just uh built the steps I think in the early 1900s um I guess for people to be able to walk all the way up here where the temple is so beautiful I'm going to go up there right now wow oh and here there is another Temple here there is a ceremony going on here right now Malaysia is a multicultural multi- religion country uh this is a Hindu ceremony but this is a country where you find people from uh the Hindu religion um Muslims as well I believe Christians as well so you find people from all over I can't made it to the very very top of the bat two caves made it all the way to the top here here's the temple okay guys I'm sweating right now I have been going upsteps many many steps I didn't realize how big of a workout it was so there are about 250 steps on the way up and then there are this extra steps to more caves behind me her name SIU siamu okay what is your name p RAM and here is a monkey next to us yeah tell me the name of this uh ceremony you guys are doing right here the monkey what is the name of this ceremony Tamia indiaia okay okay yeah well say hello to my YouTube channel the aome well bye guys thank you so I was trying to figure out the name of the ceremony that they're celebrating I couldn't really understand there was definitely a language barrier um but um you know it's very interesting to see how people can be so devoted to their beliefs their religions even me as a Christian myself uh I would like to see that level of devotion in the Christian religion sometimes uh and in this YouTube channel you know I'm trying to learn from different people and and I feel like sometimes uh we feel like we know it all we're perfect based on our beliefs either political beliefs or religious beliefs but I I think it's important to also pay attention to what other people do and it doesn't mean you compromise your beliefs it doesn't mean you have to believe something completely different it just means you can learn from other people and and apply those positive lessons into your principles and values that you grew up with or that you apply to your life uh so definitely learning a lot from the people here in Malaysia I'm on my way out of the caves now going down to the tour bus and I have to go down the set of 250 stairs or steps and I'm here with a friend little monkey friend he's just chilling just chilling like a villain okay I don't want him to attack me goodbye okay guys I'm sweating from going up and down the stairs it's very humid here too um but I highly recommend for you guys to check out the bat caves when you visit quala lumur Malaysia it's truly worth it the I think overall the the the natural wonders the architecture uh of of the of the temple the statue here of the god of war from the Hindu religion and just uh the experience of getting to know the people here and their practices is so interesting so I highly suggest you guys come to bat caves here in Malaysia I'll see you guys in the next video okay guys I'm here at ganting Highlands U I'm about to go get a cable car to go all the way up all right I'm going inside right now okay I'm going up right now in the cable car to Genting Highlands G gting Highlands is a it's a serious it's a big mountain and up there they have casinos they have hotels they have shopping centers it's pretty much a theme park they have a theme park an actual theme park too um so yeah yeah and this is in Malaysia Genting Highlands okay I like the cable car sometimes it moves a little bit funky and I get a little dizzy but I'll be okay let me show you guys The View okay this is going very high I think this is 1,600 m above ground level so it goes very very high look at the cars passing by down here here's the road well no Malaysia I'm here probably at least over 1,000 M uh above the ground not above the ground above what is it the ocean that's the metric I I have like a mental fart right now but yeah 1,000 m above sea level that is that's right sea level I don't know how I made it through college so everywhere you go it looks like all the figurines that they have have a story they tell you a story I imagine I don't know this is a story of maybe agriculture culture maybe some religious uh [Music] activities I found the bua here [Music] guys it's huge it's really really big wow okay so I'm here at the temple let's see if I can go all the way to the top I believe this is the temple or I think the whole structure is a temple so I just gave a small donation here of 20 ring it and I'm going all the way up I'm going to see what I find here the chenu temple is nine floors up I just made it all the way to the top I decided to run up here to get a little exercise and the view is so worth it look at the cable cars going all the way up to getting Highlands where I'm going to get to the top soon and you can see the full Temple area here so beautiful okay I made it to the top of gting Highlands it's like a mall
