Stock Investment Basics in Indonesia

Welcome to Si Koko Saham Trading Class Episode 1. Many people ask me, how do I start investing or trading stocks? After you watch this video to the end, I'm sure you'll know what you need to do right now to start investing or trading stocks. Okay, so a few days ago one of your followers sent you a DM via Instagram. The contents of the message are as follows. I don't know what else to say, bro. Anyway, thank you very much for the knowledge and recommendations. Believe it or not, Andy actually indirectly helps people who have been laid off, helps people who are confused about how to find food. From the recommendations and knowledge that Bang Andy shared, many people are now starting to smile and their worries about feeding their families have decreased, because there are other alternatives. Even though I wasn't really affected by it, 95% of the people around me were affected by it and I am very happy to recommend other alternatives and definitely recommend learning through what Bang Andy shared. Once again thank you bro. Keep up the good work, bro, and stay like this. Because by being like this, Andy saved and helped many people. Honestly, after I read the DM, there was a feeling of joy that I couldn't express. It turns out that I can help and have an impact on people who may currently be having problems or maybe all of you who are currently watching this video. In the midst of the current situation and conditions of the Corona or Covid-19 pandemic, which we are currently experiencing together. Maybe I'm not a doctor who can help treat Covid-19 patients. But I am a trader who can share my knowledge with friends who may currently be laid off or laid off. Oh yeah, for those of you watching this video in the future, I want to let you know that currently in 2020, the world is unstable due to the Covid-19 pandemic. And the impact is that some employees have to be sent home or even lose their jobs. Therefore, I decided to create a series of videos entitled “Si Koko Saham Trading Class”. My goal in creating this class is to share my knowledge in the world of investment and stock trading with the Indonesian public. Hopefully these videos can be very useful, especially in the current situation in Indonesia. Before we start, I want to greet you first. Hello Smart Traders, how are you? My name is Andy Senjaya. In this first episode, I will introduce you to what stocks are, why you should invest in stocks or trade stocks, and how to start investing in stocks. But before that, I want to invite my friends to subscribe to this channel first for those who haven't subscribed yet... Help me to develop this channel so that it can be useful for the wider community. By subscribing to this channel, I will help you become Smart Traders and of course this subscription is free! Don't forget to turn on the bell so you don't forget and miss the next episodes of the Koko Saham Trading Class from this channel! Okay, let's just discuss it! What is a stock? Shares are proof of ownership of the value of a company. So by buying company shares, we become the owners of that company. So the next question is how do we profit from investing or trading in shares? So there are 2 benefits you can get by buying shares. The first is from Capital Gain. So, if you buy at a price of 1000 per share, and 1 week later the stock rises to 1100 per share, then you can make a profit of 100 rupiah per share by selling the stock. Just multiply the number of lots you bought and multiply it by one hundred per share because 1 lot is 100 shares. But don't forget there is also a fee for the transaction, but it is relatively small. The second is from Dividends. This dividend is a portion of the company's profits that is distributed to its shareholders. If you want to profit from dividends, make sure you buy shares in companies that frequently distribute dividends! And if you want to learn more about dividends, I've made a separate video about dividends that you can watch, and I'll put the link in the card over here! Next, why do we need to invest in stocks? First, you don't need a lot of capital to start investing in stocks. If I'm not mistaken, you can start with just 100 thousand rupiah in capital. You just need to find a broker or securities company that accepts deposits of at least IDR 100,000. Second, the profits you can get in the capital market are relatively high. Let's imagine if you invest in a deposit, you will only get approximately 5-6% profit in 1 year, and that is not even deducting income tax which is quite high at 20%. In the capital market, you have the opportunity or potential to get profits of tens to hundreds of percent in 1 year. Provided that you have good knowledge regarding investment or stock trading. And finally, the practice of investing or trading shares in the capital market is SAFE. Because the Indonesian capital market is protected or supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). So it is impossible for there to be any fraud or for the money to be stolen or anything like that. Okay, I'm sure you can't wait to start investing in stocks. So, previously, the images that I had shown here were images that I shared on my personal Instagram. So for those of you who want to learn and see other information about stocks, please follow my Instagram at @andysenjaya. So now I want to teach you how to start investing in stocks? First of all, you have to open a stock account at a securities company registered on the Indonesian Stock Exchange, of course, to make transactions. I took the image from the website yuknabungsaham.idx.co.id/mulai-investasi You must prepare your personal documents such as KTP, NPWP and savings book. FYI, if you don't have a NPWP, don't worry because you can still open a stock account. Then you have to fill out a form at the securities company. You can see the securities companies listed on the website above! Then you deposit the initial funds or deposit to the Investor Fund Account (RDI) number. Well, this RDI will be emailed to your email. And congratulations you are ready to invest! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention one more thing that you will definitely ask: 1. What is the best security? 2. Which is better, security A or security B? 3. What security do you use, Koko? Well, if you are aiming to ask one of those questions, I will give you the answer in a moment. Well, in this picture, let me show you the picture for a moment... Well, in this picture, you can see that there are 4 things in choosing securities that I have also shared on my Instagram. The first is the transaction fee. The lower the transaction fee of a security, the better. Securities A and Securities B may have different transaction fee provisions, some may be higher but they have other advantages. So, it's better for you to research the transaction fees of the securities you are going to register with first. FYI, as far as I know, the lowest transaction fee currently is 0.15% for buying fees and 0.25% for selling fees. The second is the initial deposit or deposit. Now, this is what you need to highlight with the initial capital that you want to invest. Some well-known securities among retail investors such as Mirae Asset, Indopremier, or Mandiri Sekuritas have different deposit requirements. For example, if you want to open a stock account at Mirae Asset, you need a minimum capital or deposit of 10 million. However, on the other hand, for Indopremiere, you can start with capital under 1 million. Or even just 100 thousand as your initial funds or deposit. So, for this problem, please do your own research, you can also ask the contact person for each broker. Next, the third and most important thing is that you must choose securities that have or are authorized by the OJK (Financial Services Authority). So your investment money is safe. Just to let you know, your capital is not directly held by the securities company, but you have a separate account at your respective bank called an investor fund account (RDI), which I discussed earlier. Dam is definitely safer, friends. And the last is the service offered by the company. One thing to consider is the software or trading application provided by the securities company. It must be user-friendly and easy to find the information you need to support your analysis. In addition, the application must have complete features as your weapon for analyzing the market and for trading. Then usually many securities offer or have training programs related to investment or trading. So this is an educational program or service from the company or securities company that offers education to friends who want to learn about investing or trading. Well, this is usually monthly or even weekly. You also need to research all of this as a consideration for which broker is better and more suitable for you. So the conclusion is that each security has its own advantages. There may be those who offer low transaction fees, but on the other hand, you have to make a fairly high minimum deposit, which is around 10 million. And conversely, you are also allowed to make a minimum deposit with a low capital of 100 thousand, but besides that, you will be charged a fairly high transaction fee. So it's all up to you, the choice is yours, but what's certain is that once you enter the market, the trading mechanism is the same. And finally, you must also be wondering "what securities does Koko use?" Well, I personally use Mirae Asset securities because I think their transaction fees are quite low and they have pretty good trading features or applications. Here I am not affiliated with any securities or brokers, including Mirae Asset, but if Mirae Asset wants to invite or offer cooperation, please feel free!
