This is the Fountain of Israel's Bible Studies program. And as always, it's an honor for me to stand before you on the Lord's Sabbath day. Now, as you... know by now we are in the middle of our teaching series black history from the bible and this is the third part in our four part series black history from the bible the first was the color and the curses and i would advise you before you go any further to go to the very first lesson because that lesson is very very visual and the the rest of the lessons will make a lot more sense so the first lesson was the color and the curses the second was the marriage divorce and remarriage of israel And our lesson today is entitled, The Kingdom of Priests. The Lord's Kingdom of Priests.
And this is part three in the four-part teaching series in honor of Black History Month. So we're going to jump right in. We're going to begin over in Isaiah chapter two in verse one.
Isaiah chapter two and one. And we want to establish what the Lord fully intended for the nation of Israel to be, and as the title implies, they were intended to be a nation of priests to teach the other nation who and to how and who to serve, which is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. So in Isaiah chapter 2, I will pick it up at verse 1, which reads, the word that Isaiah, the son of Amos, saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the last days that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills, and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob.
And he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law. and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. So we know when he comes to establish his government, because that's what all these mountains represent, is government and power.
He's going to establish his government here on earth. And where will the headquarters be? Jerusalem. Okay, so we understand that he is coming to establish his world ruling government.
And he's going to put some people in positions of authority. Do we follow? Okay, so let's go take a look at it. Who are some of these people to be?
Go to Exodus chapter 19, Exodus chapter 19, and I will pick it up at verse 1. In the third month when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai. For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness. And there Israel camped before the mount.
And Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to me, the house of Jacob and tell the children of Israel. You have seen what I did unto the Egyptians and how I bear you on eagles wings and brought you unto myself. Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed and keep my covenant, then you shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people for all the earth is mine.
And you shall be unto me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which thou shall speak unto the children of Israel. So from this passage, we recognize and realize that the Lord said that you are going to be a kingdom of priests. Obviously, we had to keep the covenant and keep going forth, and he would have continued to teach Israel and us his path, teach us to walk in his way. And from there, the children who knew better, children who has the covenant and the promise and the oracles of God, will teach the other nations because we see it says all the other nations will flow unto it and the law will go out of jerusalem and we know the lord has officers in his government that's what the kingdom of priests are he is one of his title is the king of kings correct okay so he's going to set up a government he has order he has protocol so let's continue in deuteronomy chapter 4 deuteronomy chapter 4 And when I get to Deuteronomy chapter 4, I will pick it up at verse 1. Deuteronomy 4, and 1 says this, and I'll skip around a bit.
that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. Dropping down to verse 5. Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments even as the Lord my God commanded me that you should go do that you should do so in the land which ye go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them for this is your wisdom and your understanding and the sight of nations which shall hear of all these statutes and say and say what?
Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. Because if they say that and the other nations thought that, then they can learn from you. If they say, hey, these guys got it together, this is a great and wise nation, then we can learn something.
So. Learning these laws, statutes, and commandments, it will teach you judgment. It will teach you wisdom.
It will give you understanding to discern between matters. We're all supposed to be leaders like Moses. All supposed to have power like Elijah. Supposed to be royal and kingly. like David, wise like Solomon, strong like Samson.
These are examples. These are small examples, little microcosms, if you will, of what the nation should be unto the rest of the nations. Something got messed up along the way.
So we're going to go to 1 Kings. Let's look at a little bit of wisdom, an example of it anyway. first kings and we'll pick it up uh chapter four and then i'll pick it up at verse one we will skip around a little bit verse one just so we know who we're talking about so king solomon was king over all israel so now we know who's ruling correct now we can skip around without anyone getting lost so we got the context of who's ruling verse 29 you And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the seashore. And Solomon's wisdoms excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country and all the wisdom of Egypt.
And he spake 3,000 proverbs and And his songs were a thousand and five. And he spake of trees from the cedar trees that is in Lebanon, even unto the hyssop that sprang out of the wall. He spake also of beasts and of fowl and of creeping things and of fishes.
And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom. He knew a lot of stuff. He just was very, very smart, very wise.
It says he spoke of so many things. And he said he has these proverbs and he has these songs. So, yes, some of the proverbs, well, most of the proverbs are written by Solomon. Some of the songs are written by Solomon. And people from all around came to hear of his wisdom.
Let's look at one example. We're in 1 Kings, go to chapter 10. 1 Kings chapter 10. And I will pick it up at verse 1. And it reads, And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came to prove him with hard questions. So she went to test him with hard questions. And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bear spices and very much gold and precious stones.
And when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart. And Solomon told her all her questions. There was not anything hid from the king which he told her not.
Verse 6. And she said to the king, it was a true report that I heard in my own land of the accent of thy wisdom. How be it I believed not the words until I came, and my eyes had seen it. And behold, the half was not told me.
Thy wisdom and prosperity exceeded the fame which I heard. See, they didn't even tell me the whole thing. They told me you were wise. They told me you were that guy, but I didn't believe it. Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom.
Blessed be the Lord thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on the throne of Israel, because the Lord loveth Israel forever. Therefore made he the king, to do judgment and justice. This is a blessing that, wow. So let's see what else she gave him. And she gave the king...
120 talents of gold if I had 120 talents of gold right now yeah gold 12 1300 bucks an ounce and we're talking about talents okay um 120 talents of gold and of spices very great store and precious stones precious stones diamonds rubies emeralds sapphires those count right Okay, and there came no more such abundant of spices as these which the Queen of Sheba gave To King Solomon. Okay, so we have to understand that all these spices are some very very valuable to their exotic They were valuable if you didn't have land you obviously you didn't grow this stuff, right? Okay, so you have all that now Let me drop down to verse 23 so King Solomon exceeded all the King Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom.
More riches, more wisdom than all the other kings of the earth. Did I make that up or is that what it's saying? That's what it's saying, right? Okay.
It said, so King Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom. And all the earth sought to Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart. That's just a quick example.
of what is like if you were under the rule of a righteous king of a wise king we know later in his life he went left we we understand that we know but it's how it should be but but then again all of israel messed up right so we can't just lay that all on solomon Yeah, all of wisdom messed up. But it's just an example. Just like with the strength of Samson or whatever, he messed up. So did all of Israel. So we can't just charge one Israelite and put a spotlight on their transgression.
See, Solomon, you build all these high places for your wives and you win a... How about the person pointing the finger? Isaiah chapter 43 and I will pick it up once again at verse 1. But now thus said the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, fear not, for I have redeemed thee. I have called thee by thy name. Thou art mine.
Who does Israel belong to? God. I redeemed you.
I paid the price. Somebody spilled blood. So they can be back in relationship with the Most High, right?
Okay, I redeemed you. Okay, got you. Okay, I'm going to skip down to verse 7. Even everyone that is called by my name, for I have created him for my glory.
I have formed him, yea, I have made him. Verse 10. You are my witnesses, says the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me, there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
Continuing. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides me there is no Savior. There is no Savior. I have declared and have saved and I have showed when there was no strange God among you. Therefore ye are my witnesses, said the Lord, that I am God.
Skip it down to verse 20. The beasts of the field shall honor me, the dragons and the owls, because I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert to give drink to my people, my chosen. At some point, we're going to let that sink in and get that. This people have I formed for myself.
They shall show forth my praise. Yeah, when they wake up, realize whom you belong to. When you realize you were bought with a price, that you've been redeemed, you'll wake up and you'll show forth his praises. But many of us are still asleep, amen? Unfortunately, and that's why you have lessons like this so that some may wake up.
Because this is for you. This is how the other nations are supposed to find out, hey, how do we get salvation? When the other nations want to know, how do we get saved?
How do we get salvation? Go to John. Where do we go?
Go to John, chapter 4. Go to John chapter 4. Okay, now John chapter 4, I just want one verse because now it means something. John chapter 4 and we read verse 22 which says, ye worship ye know not what. We know what we worship for salvation is of the Jews.
Because salvation comes from them. You know the knowledge how to get saved, you know, is of the Jews. And obviously this is Christ talking to a Samaritan woman. who's not a Jew, who's not an Israelite, and he said it comes from the Jews. Because the people who hold the oracles of God, they were told, do this, keep covenant, this is how you get saved, is of the Jews.
So if a stranger comes up to you and they say, okay, how can I get eternal life? You say, what's written in your Bible? Thou shalt not, thou shalt not keep the Sabbath day, have no other God, that whole thing. Isn't that what Christ did?
When someone came and asked him, how do I get eternal life? You guys already know the answer. Salvation is of the Jews.
Because every Jew should be saying that. We're going to go to Luke 8. So you were taught the ways on how to get salvation. Faith in Messiah, keep the covenant, right?
Now, go to Luke 8, Luke chapter 8, verse 10. Let's see what else we're given. Luke chapter 8, verse 10 says this, And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the others in parables, that seeing they might not see, in hearing They might not understand. Other people are not gonna get it. They're not gonna understand it.
You tell me, have you not talked to, spoke to someone, tried to, you know, reason with them out of the scriptures and they just didn't get it? It's like, no, I don't think, no, no. I don't, I don't get it.
I don't get, no, I think, you know, that's for the Jews. No, no, I think the covenant's a little different. It's just, no, no. And they just don't quite understand. But you and I should be studying.
Should be flipping through pages, page after page, searching this thing out, trying to figure it out. And that's exactly what you should be giving the other people who come to you. What you have researched.
What you understand. The understanding that is given to you by the Holy Ghost or Ruach HaKadosh. Your eyes open, and with a little bit of patience, you're supposed to open other people's eyes. Why?
Because really, as a nation, that's our job. Supposed to be, supposed to be kingdom of priests. Now, yes, they did drop the ball, but as a nation, supposed to be kingdoms of priests. So now, you're supposed to know the mysteries of heaven.
Guess what else? Deuteronomy 29. Go to Deuteronomy 29. I just want one verse. The secret, 29 and 29, Deuteronomy 29, 29, it says this, the secret things belong unto the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words in this law.
So there's, I mean, there's some things that are revealed unto us, that are revealed to you and I, some of the mysteries of God, revealed to us, that isn't otherwise revealed to other people. Because it's your job. We go to a restaurant and we're not going to a restaurant and we say, okay, no, no, no, I don't want to do that pork thing or whatever. And they're like, well, why is that? Biblical, dietary law.
You're just giving them a little insight, right? Now, some people might be offended. That tells you already they know something.
They heard about that dietary law. Because if I'm telling you I'm doing something, why should that offend you? That's a clue there, but you just say, hey, you know, Leviticus, that's why.
But we're going to keep going. Psalm 25. Go with me to Psalm chapter 25. I just want one verse there. because he mentioned the secret things now let's see what he says about the secret things right so psalm 25 i'm only going to read verse 14 which reads the secret of the lord is with them that fear him and he will show them his covenant interesting so we know it's the salvation and we know the secret thing is saying the secret thing is the covenant and we're supposed to keep and share and do that covenant right you I was just putting it together, but that's what it says.
If you feel the Lord, he's going to tell you the secret thing. And a lot of that secret is found in the law and in the prophets. And oh yeah, don't forget the Hamashiach.
That's what we're talking about here. All right, now let's see what else. Romans chapter 9. Romans.
Chapter 9, once again, pick it up at verse 1. Romans chapter 9, verse 1. I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, that I have great heaviness and continuous sorrow in my heart. For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh, who what? Who are Israelites.
To whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises. Were they not given a lot? Okay, and just in case you guys missed it. Who are the Israelites to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God?
That's a priest, right? That's somebody working for God, right? That's a minister, a pastor, a priest, a Levite.
okay and don't and guys all the prophets and all tells all of them were not levites yes moses was but not everybody was a levite okay so verse five who are the fathers and of whom as concerning the flesh christ came this is the whole reason why he came who is overall god bless forever amen who is overall god bless forever amen Okay, now one thing we do have to worry about. I wasn't going to read verse 6, but I will now. Not as though the word of God has taken none effect, for they are not all Israel which are of Israel.
Because some people are Israel according to the flesh, but they're not Israel according to their covenant, to their faith, to their belief, according to the fruit that comes out of their mouth. So some people are natural as well and some of them don't care. They don't try to grab hold of that covenant.
So you do have to watch out for that. And I will talk a little bit about, you know, the false brethren, the false prophet and stuff like that towards the end of this lesson. We'll get into that a little bit because some people are priests and they run around and they just run their mouth and they just preach their own personal pet doctrines.
Fleecing the flock, leading people astray, causing them to go into a perpetual backsliding as we touched on last lesson. Let's look at this a little bit further. Psalm 147, let me pick it up at 5. Psalm 147 verse 5 reads this way. Great is our Lord and of great power. His understanding is infinite.
Now I will skip down to 19. He showed his word unto Jacob, his statue. and his judgments unto Israel. So who was he talking to? Jacob and Israel, right?
So he said Jacob, Israel, same thing, but he showed his promises unto Jacob and of Israel and his judgments unto Israel. Yes, we know Jacob, Israel, synonymous. We know. He has not dealt so with any nation. So we know that second part to Jacob, Israel, we know that Israel was talking about the nation.
Okay. He's the nation. So Jacob, the father and the Israel, the nation.
Yes, we know his name got changed. Got that. He showed his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel, the nation. And he said he has not dealt so with any nation.
And as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the Lord. See, the other people, they don't know about the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Not really. Not really. Meaning that it is a relationship. See right now they teach you replacement theology, Israel doesn't matter, you know, it's about the church. Well, Israel is the church, by the way.
And I know a lot of people won't take that at face value. They'll be like, oh no, brother, no. Okay, yeah, I understand.
But Israel, that church that was in the wilderness, you know, Sinai, that was the church. That was the camp. He has not dealt so with any nation and as for his judgments they have not known them praise ye the Lord. They didn't know these other nations they don't know.
They don't know. Some know and don't care but for the most part they don't know brothers and sisters. That's why you have been dealt with so harshly because as a nation we are supposed to know better and didn't always. But we're supposed to know better, so we're going to continue. Go to Matthew 15. Matthew chapter 15. And I'll pick it up at verse 21. Matthew 15, 21. It reads, Then Jesus went thence and departed into the coast of Tyre and Saddam.
And behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coast and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David. My daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word.
And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away, for she cried after us. But he answered and said, said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Not really here for other people at this time.
Because it reminds me of the parable when you say invite everyone over. Well, invite my bride to the wedding. Okay. The kinsmen, you know, Israel. And they say, well, we invited.
It's not that many people. And he said, okay, now invite everybody else to come. the witnesses you know the grafting in okay now i invited everybody else do we understand okay so he said i have not come i am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of israel then came she and worshiped him saying lord help me but he answered and said it is not meat to take the children's bread and to cast it to dogs oh that's just mean no he just had a mission He was focused on the mission.
And she said, Truth, Lord, yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their master's plate. Humbled herself. How many people can say they humbled themselves today?
How many people get all indignant? Oh, he called me a dog. That's all right. You ain't all that anyway. Okay.
And she said, truth, Lord, yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their master's table. Twenty eight. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, oh, woman, great is thy faith.
Be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. If you can control your tongue and humble yourself, you might get somewhere. In this thing, in this whole walk, in this faith, in this path.
In this covenant. You might. You just might if you humble yourself.
Where the Bible calls you and I out on, humble yourself and you might get somewhere. Let's go to Matthew 28. Same book. Let's go up a few chapters.
Matthew chapter 28. I'm going to go to verse 18. Which reads, And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and what? Teach all nations.
baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Ghost teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you and lo I am with you always even unto the end of the world amen so he gave them a great Commission teach all the nations So before he left, they knew what their job was, right? Teach all the nations, baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. That's what they call, you know, the Great Commission. So, Israel has their job, okay? Now, we're still in Matthew, but go to chapter 5 for me.
Chapter 5, verse 13. Chapter 5 in verse 13 of Matthew reads this way, You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is therefore good for nothing, but to be cast out and to... be trodden underfoot.
Ye are the light of the world, a city that is set on and a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick and it, and it give it light unto all that are in the house. So he's just saying you, hey, when you walk, people should notice something a little bit different about you. And you show them your light.
Let your light shine before all men. What you believe. People should at least get an inkling, an idea of what you're about and what you believe. at your actions just a little bit now I know some ladies you might have your head cover or something and they might be like okay is she Muslim or is she just modest or is she is like something but at least it's an indication that you're falling under authority that you're a modest right it kind of gives an indication so that's how you let your light shine but let's go ahead and look at 2nd Corinthians Chapter 4, and I'll pick it up at verse 3. 2 Corinthians chapter 4, verse 3 reads this way. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost.
Like, if you don't understand it. In whom the God of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the gracious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. for we preach not ourselves but christ jesus the lord and ourselves servants for jesus sake and our serve and ourselves your servants for jesus sake that's what we that's what we're talking about this whole gospel this whole thing about you know believing this whole thing about repenting and coming back into covenant and accepting you Yeshua, Jesus the Christ as the Messiah.
That's really what Paul's ministry was all about. Really. But we get it twisted.
Let's go to another one of Paul's letters. Ephesians chapter 5. Go with me to Ephesians chapter 5. And I'll pick it up at verse 7. Ephesians 5 and 7 says this. Be not ye therefore partakers with them, for ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord.
Walk as children of light. Walk as children of light. For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth, proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. but all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light for whatsoever doth make it manifest is light so you have to make manifest someone's wrongdoing because that is the light brother you're not supposed to be doing that sister you shouldn't be doing that assuming they're serving the same God of course you know if someone's not serving your God then that's don't waste don't cast your pearls before swine don't don't don't even worry about it And finally, verse 14. Wherefore, he said, await thou that sleepeth and arise from the dead and Christ shall give thee light. You get some truth. You get some understanding.
If we just simply wake up. If we simply wake up. Go to Deuteronomy so we can put everyone together. 31. Deuteronomy chapter 31. Pick it up at verse 9. And it reads this way, thou shall read this law before all israel in their hearing gather the people together men and women and children and thy stranger that is within thy gates that they may hear and that they may learn and fear the lord their god and observe to do all the words of this law so he said the men the women the children and the strangers didn't he that wasn't a mistake so let's go ahead and read stranger right here because a lot of people a sojourner, a temporary inhabitant, or a newcomer lacking inherited rights, or foreigners in Israel though receded rights, well through conceded rights.
Okay, so could be someone that is not of the blood of Israel, a stranger. And it says that person has to do everything else that Israel has to do. It said gather the people.
together men and women and children and thy stranger that is within thy gates that they may hear and that they may learn and fear the lord your god and observe to do all the words of this law so they are to do what israel is doing as well yes let's keep let's keep going isaiah 49 Just a couple of verses. Verse 5. Isaiah 49 verse 5 reads this way, And now, says the Lord, that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the Lord, and my God shall be my strength. And he said, it is a light thing that thou should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth. I'm going to give you as a light unto the Gentiles.
Salvation is of the Jews. Is this not consistent? Yes or no?
So this is all we're talking about. We're just reading it. This is what I'm going to do. He brought up, raise up the tribes, Jacob, restore, preserve Israel, and oh yeah, by the way, the Gentiles. In other words, the strangers, they're gonna do everything.
So, quit letting people fool you and trick you when you can read it for yourself. You can grab your Bible, you can grab your Strongs. Gentiles. Nation. People.
A nation. Usually of non-Hebrew people. Usually of non-Hebrew people. Usually, or it could be descendants of Abraham, which makes them a Hebrew, but doesn't necessarily make them an Israelite. You understand?
Okay, got it. So that's what we're talking about here. Don't let anyone confuse you. This is something you can look for yourself. So we're going to continue.
That was Isaiah 49. Let's go to, just to get something straight real quick. Leviticus 24. We're going to jump around. These are like one or two verses here and there. Leviticus chapter 24. Verse 22, one verse.
Leviticus 24 and 22 reads this way, Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger as for one of your own country, for I am the Lord your God. We're going to do that again. And you know where we're going to do it?
Very next book. Numbers. Numbers chapter 15. Numbers chapter 15 and verse 16 says this, in case anyone is confused. One law and one matter shall be for you and for the stranger that sojourn among you. We see we're supposed to be a nation of priests.
So you're not supposed to be teaching your brethren one thing and then teach the Gentiles or the stranger something else. Right. Does that make sense?
So you can't do that. Just in case we get that confused. That was verse 16. But now let's look at verse 29. Same same same book, same chapter.
I'm go down to verse 29. We say this. You shall have one law for him that sent it through ignorance. Both for him that is born among the children of Israel and for the stranger that's sojourning among you.
Is that clear? So you cannot let someone come along and trick you and try to use a little bit of word sorcery. No, no, no, no.
What that really means, you understand that for yourself. Especially if the intent is for him to have a nation of priests. So we understand he's telling you this is how you teach.
You teach the children of Israel this. Oh, yeah. And by the way, the strangers or the Gentiles.
you teach them the same thing. Yes? That's all we're talking about.
But you go ahead and you let false prophets go out there and trick you and play word sorcery with your mind. That's on you. That's on you when you know you comprehend what's going on right here.
But we're going to continue. Okay? One more thing to tie this up in a little bow. Go with me to Ephesians. Ephesians chapter 4, and this is still for New Testament folks.
Ephesians chapter 4 verse 4 says this, there is one body and one spirit even as ye are called in one hope of your calling. Verse 5, one Lord, one faith, one baptism. Verse 6, one God and Father of all who is above all and through all and in you all. Sounds like the theme is 1-1-1-1-1, right?
That's what it sounds like. So we're going to continue. You guys get that point. So we're going to move on to our next point. Go to Amos.
Amos. Go to Amos. Chapter two.
And I'll pick it up at verse six. Amos 2, 6 reads this way. Thus said the Lord for three transgressions of Israel and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof because they sold the righteous for silver and the poor for a pair of shoes. Verse nine.
Yet destroyed I the Amorites before them whose height was like the height of the cedars and he was strong as the oak. Yet I destroyed his fruit from above and his roots from beneath. Continuing.
Also, I brought you up from the land of Egypt and led you 40 years through the wilderness to possess the land of the Amorites. And I raised up of your sons for prophets and of your young men for Nazarites. It is not.
It is. it not even thus oh ye children of Israel said the Lord I did this did I not do this is what he's saying I did this I raised him up for profit of your sons out of the nation of Israel will come prophets out of the nation of Israel will come Nazarites And of course pastors and priests. We gotta get it. We have to get this. Amos chapter 3. Same book, chapter 3. First two verses. Hear this word that the Lord has spoken unto you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying, You only have I known of all the families of the earth.
Therefore, I will punish you for all your iniquities. Now do we understand why you get punished harshly, worse than other nations? Do we at least understand why you get punished harsher than other nations? This is your answer.
You only have I known. You only have I known of all the families of the earth. Therefore, he's giving you a reason why. Therefore, I will punish you for all your iniquities. You're not getting away with anything.
Israel, as a whole, as a nation. You're not going to get away with anything. The Lord said, I had high expectations for you because I gave you everything. The promises and the oracles.
I gave you everything. Salvation. I gave you everything.
So my expectations for you is way up here. My ways are not your ways, right? That's what he's saying. He has it way up there. High, high standard.
Let's see what Hosea says in chapter four, one verse. Go back two books. Hosea chapter four, verse six. Verse 6 says, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge because thou has rejected knowledge. Because, you know, many of Israel say, I don't want to hear that, right?
I will also reject thee that thou shall be no priest to me. What? Wait, wait. minute this is about kingdom of priests right look at how he referenced Israel look my people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge because thou has rejected knowledge I will also reject thee that thou shalt be no priest to me seeing thou has forgotten the law of thy God I will also forget thy children sounds like that happened because we don't because we don't know Because our forefathers rejected the knowledge of God. Broke the covenant, rejected all the correction, killed all the prophets.
We're not trying to hear this. We're with these other gods. We want to see what these other gods are all about.
Pretty much what Israel did, right? So then, since they rejected knowledge, I want you to follow me, since they rejected knowledge and threw everything away, promises and glory and all that, threw it all away. Then came the rise of the false prophet. Matthew 7. Matthew chapter 7, verse 15. First thing he says, Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. It sounds like they're of Israel.
It sounds like they're one of your brethren. I mean, they look like it, but inwardly... the rabbiting wolves but inwardly that's what we have to verse 16 ye shall know them by their fruits do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles you should know them by their fruits you know them by the fruit of their lips what are they saying look at their behavior what are they saying how how do they speak are they prophesying unto you lies are they genuine Are they sincere? Insincere? Which one is it?
But you know them by their fruit. It comes out. It's a matter of watching them over time. A new broom sweeps awesome.
What about when it gets a little wear on it over time? How does it sweep then? Ezekiel 22. We're going to keep moving.
Ezekiel 22. Ezekiel chapter 22 verse 26. Her priests have violated my laws and have profaned mine holy things. They have put no difference between the holy and the profane. They do not put a difference between what's the Sabbath. They put no difference.
Oh, every day is the Sabbath. I'm just giving you an example. That's not the only thing they do, of course.
But they'll say, oh no, everything, every day is a Sabbath. They put no difference between the holy and the profane. I thought the seventh day was the holy Sabbath, right? But they put no difference between it. Neither have they shown the difference between the unclean and the clean.
Because all you have to do, kiss it to God, pray over it, and it's all good now. No difference between the clean and the unclean. and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths and i am profane among them you know they speak differently about the god of the old testament and the god of the new testament and just because it says you know they have profane um um and i am profane among them it doesn't mean they're always saying something bad about god they're just saying something false about god right You profanity just by saying something false you don't have to be outright belligerent.
You can be nice about it. Oh God's not like that. He wouldn't...
No, He wouldn't punish people like that. He's a nice, loving God. He would never do someone like that.
Sounds nice, but it's a lie, right? But it's a lie. You profane him.
You are misrepresenting his character. Then when you, oh, God told me to tell you to do that. And God himself said, oh, yeah, they come. They go running their mouth, popping off their mouth, saying I said this, I said that.
But I have not spoke to them. Right. That's what they do today, brothers and sisters.
That's what they do today. Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey. Something sounds like something Jesus said to write ravening the prey.
to shed blood and to destroy souls to get dishonest gains that's old testament but it sounds very new testament now doesn't it to get dishonest gains and her prophets have daubed them with untempered mortar seeing vanity and divining lies unto them saying thus said the lord god when the lord has not spoken tell me you hadn't heard that before The Lord told me to tell you, right? I mean, you heard that, right? See, even back then, once they separated themselves from God, once they lacked the knowledge, once they started killing off all the prophets because they don't want to hear it, ask Stephan.
Then they just do what they want. They just make it up as they go. You see, everyone thinks like a false prophet is, you know, mean, evil.
He's going to be coming with, you know, you think they're going to be the head of the church of Satan. What's his name? Acton?
Anton or something like that. You think he's all of them going to come? No, no, no, no, no.
They may be holding the exact same Bible you're holding. Because Satan has said they're Satan. Who knows? He knows God. He knows Christ.
He knows everything. He knows. Devils, they know what's in the word, and they'll use it. They'll give you a little bit of truth, a little bit, but they won't give you the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
I'm just explaining that this is how we cease to be the priests of God. This is how it happens. When you have no knowledge, you have nothing to say, and then you get a half a piece, a fraction of a scripture, and then you preach for three hours out of your own heart.
And the prophets have daubed them with untempered mortar, seeing vanity and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus says the Lord God, when the Lord has not spoken unto them. So they will heap up the lie. Remember, that's how these movements get started.
If you have a false movement, it gets started, and they daub it. Another preacher tells it, and then another preacher tells it, and another preacher tells it. That's why you have that ministry of, you know, the sow a seed ministry, that whole thing. You're a thousand-fold miracle and all that and God wants you, you know, all that.
You hear all of it, but then you hear one pastor talk about it, then another one, then another one, then another one. And you have people have whole faiths built on it. Built on it.
You have whole faiths built on the power of the Holy Ghost. So they heap it up. Heap it up.
They just keep going. Let's keep... Let's keep going. 2 Peter 2, chapter 2. Let's just read the first three verses and move on. But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privately shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that brought them.
Because you got a bunch of them right now. We got a lot of Torah-only brothers. They don't believe none of that.
So right here, this scripture just came true right there in this letter. Damned were the heretics, even denying the Lord that brought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways, by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
They dog the New Testament. Dog it. Period. They just assume set it on fire rather than read it.
Dog it. They don't hear nothing about no Christ, no nothing. Hey, you even have Jewish people, okay, in their traditional Judaism or whatever, who they don't believe in no Christ.
I don't want to hear about that. The best we'll give them, we'll give them a star, we'll give them a little sticker and say, okay, yeah, you were a good teacher. Good job.
Now move on. Kick rocks, Jesus. They don't want to hear nothing about Christ. You got Torah-only folks, and you got people who staunch Judaism, non-Messianic.
Just look at a video and get their thoughts on what they think of Jesus. Like Jewish people, or anyone has a comp... Go check out what they're saying.
Who is Yeshua for you? I think that this is the foundation of Christianity I think that what they want to know is why we Jews don't believe in Jesus That he is the Messiah First of all, I am a religious woman I believe in what Judaism has put in front of us Jesus came thousands of years later He was Jewish but he went to another religion He established another religion A symbol for people who don't think alone It's just a story for people who have nothing to do with the Ghanaians I am Jesus from the Jewish perspective? There is a Gemara about Jesus, he is a member of the Sanhedrin, he was a student of Tana, but he was a hermit in the main.
He went the way that is not the way of Judaism, he believes that the time of the next world will come, even though the time of the next world will not come. Something like that. What else do you know?
And the question is, why we, Jews, do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah? Because the resurrection will not come. Because the resurrection will not come.
I am more interested in working and doing mitzvot But Judaism says that it is still time to do mitzvot Because no one is still enjoying it It is still a complete Isaiah 30 Isaiah 30 Isaiah 30 before we move on chapter 9 I'm sorry Isaiah 30 verse 9 that this is a rebellious people lying children children that will not hear the law of the Lord they won't do it they don't want to do it see it's not all false prophets we can't just put it all on false prophets sometimes there are false there are false followers you False Israelites. False converts. This is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord, which say to the seers, see not. And to the prophets, prophesy not unto us right things.
Speak unto us smooth things. Prophesy deceit. Prophesy the seat. That's what it says right? Get ye out of the way.
Turn aside out of the path. Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. Yeah if you want to violate all his instruction in his covenant, of course he's gonna stop dealing with you.
But you surprised? You start violating his law, not putting the difference between the clean, the unclean, the holy, the unholy, and all. He said, you know what? I'm done with you.
I'm done. That's it. He told Samuel, stop praying for Saul. I'm done with him. Didn't he?
Right? I'm finished. I'm done with him.
I'm done. I washed my hands with him. He'll do the same thing to you.
He did it to a king. He'll do it to you. Wherefore thus said the Holy One of Israel, because you despise this word and trust in oppression and perverseness and stay thereon.
Therefore, this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, those breaking comets suddenly at an instant. Meaning you're going to get overtaken. I'm not protecting you no more. I'm removing this hedge.
I'm done. I'm done. I washed my hands.
Let's go to Isaiah 61. We're still in Isaiah. We're going to do a little bit more. Isaiah chapter 61. I just want one verse.
61 and 6 says this, but ye shall be named the priests of the Lord. This is when things turn around. We're supposed to be priests of God.
That's what this is about. So that's how we're going to finish it. But ye shall be named the priests of the Lord.
Men shall call you the ministers of our God. Ye shall eat the riches. of the Gentiles and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. That's the future of Israel people. That's the future of Israel.
Isaiah 66, go up a few more chapters. 66, let me read verse 21 for you. Which says, and I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, said the Lord.
Yes, there will be a return of the Levitical priesthood because by that time they'll know who they are and I want that. So they'll return. But then you have other priests as well because he said and and priests and Levites. We're going to keep it moving.
Now watch this and go to the end. Revelation 1. Chapter 1, verse 6. What does that say? And has made us kings and priests unto God and his Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever.
Amen. He says, make us kings and priests. Isn't that what they say? Okay, gonna make us kings and priests. Let's see what else.
Go to Revelation, chapter 5, 1 verse, verse 10. And has made us unto our God kings and priests and we shall reign on the heaven earth that's what this is earth didn't it okay got it we shall reign on the earth but he's gonna make you kings and priests he's king of king Lord of lords this should make sense okay it should make sense what did he say over in first Peter Because now we're winding down about to wrap it up. So 1 Peter chapter 2, let's start at verse 2. 1 Peter chapter 2 and 2. Let's see what it says. As newborn babes, design the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby. I mean, we got to start the easy stuff first. You know, when we first got into this thing, we started some of the simple things to understand and start to put that into practice.
And then we develop further story. It takes time. You don't throw away the baby the first time it stumbles when you try to teach it to walk, right?
Okay, it takes a little bit of time. He is long-suffering, which means patience, right? Okay.
And if so, be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. Yes, we have. To whom coming as unto a living, a life, a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God and precious. Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priest.
to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. What was our challenge? A holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Yeah, some of our stuff is going to be spiritual because we're not in our land.
We can't do some of the literal that we would like to do. We can't do it because we're not in our land. But you will offer up spiritual sacrifices.
Prayer is one of it. Just one. Verse 6. Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect precious, and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
unto you therefore which believe he is precious but unto them which be disobedient the stone which the builders disallow made the head of the corner the same one that y'all strung up kill the same one you want to reject is the same one that is the head of the corner the only way you get in the only way you get salvation the same one you rejected that's the one you got to go to the same one you're denying is the same one you're gonna stand in front of in the end. Does that make sense? Because that's what's going to happen.
He said, but ye, he said in verse 7, I mean eight, I'm sorry, an eight. And a stone of stumbling, a rock of offense, because Christ is, the Messiah is. Even to them which stumble at the word being disobedient, again with disobedient, disobedient, whereunto also they were appointed.
Verse nine. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood. He hit you with priesthood twice, didn't he? A royal priesthood, a holy nation, that was in Deuteronomy, a peculiar people that ye should show forth the praises of him who had called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. He said you're a priest twice and said what you're supposed to be doing.
We're gonna have to get this, brothers and sisters. Last two verses, Isaiah 58. Isaiah 58. Let's start at verse 6. and thine health shall bring forth speedily, and thy righteousness shall go before thee, the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward. The glory of the Lord shall be thy reward.
Then thou shalt call, and the Lord shall answer. Thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here am I. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity, if we just stop doing that, if we stop putting forth the finger, pointing blade oh but what about this other person oh i may be like this but the other person is like that oh i may have done this but the other person did that the putting forth of the finger and speaking vanity and if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul then shall thy light rise in obscurity and thy darkness be as the noon day And the Lord shall guide thee continually and satisfy thy soul in drought and make fat thy bones and thou shall be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters fail not.
And they shall be of thee shall be of thee shall build the old waste places. Thou shall raise up the foundations of many generations and thou shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of paths to dwell in. you got a job to do we have a job to do and training starts now it already started but now but you're alive in this generation so training starts now in this generation israel wake up israel rise up israel our last place revelation 20 revelation chapter 20 Verse 4. How does it end, brothers and sisters?
And I saw thrones... And they that sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them. And I saw the souls of them that were behated for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads or in their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed...
And holy is he that has part in the first resurrection. On such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Is that pretty clear?
Again with priest. Again with priest. They should be priests. Meaning there's jobs to be had. There's position and authority to be had because that is the intention.
That was the intention the whole time. We read way back in Torah what he expected us to be. And then we saw in the future what he expects us to be again.
We have to get this. We have to wrap our minds around this, brothers and sisters. That was the whole intent. That's what this is all about.
Getting back into position. Getting back into covenant. Worshiping the true. Worshiping the mighty one.
The holy one of Israel. Finding salvation in the Messiah. That's what this whole lesson is about.
A kingdom of priests. I hope this lesson has edified someone and given you. all some understanding.
This has been Black History from the Bible 2018. Until next time, search the scriptures and prove all things. Shalom and peace, Israel.
