Top 20 Recommended Online Courses (as per IIM A alumnus and Cadbury HR)

Hi guys welcome back to the channel Some days back I made a video about how you can do free online courses on a website called Coursera and how to download their certificates also. So I got feedback that out of so many courses if you can give a list 20 best courses then it will be helpful that's why this video is here But I also understand: why will you listen to me? Just coz I have told that you to do these 20 courses so you should do it? No, actually some of these courses are recommended by a couple of my batchmates who used to study with me at IIM Ahmedabad and some courses are recommended by the HR with whom I was working at Cadbury. So these courses are from different fields and I'm sure they are going to help you with each course I will say 3 things Who is offering the course, how many hours it will take to complete and what is its difficulty level. So let us start with the finance courses 1st this course is recommended by one of my batch mate to whom we used to consider as a Finance guru on our campus he knew the most about finance. So I'm sure these courses will help you. The 1st one is the financial market this course in Coursera is offered by Yale which will take 33hrs to complete and it's a beginner-level course. In this course, you will be introduced to the basics of financial market what instruments are there. when and how a recession hits when a crisis happened in the financial market and all those things. The 2nd course is an introduction to Corporate Finance This course is also offered on Coursera by Wharton which is 7 hours course and this is an intermediate-level course. In this course, you will understand the value of money basically when a company does finance for anything then what are the returns and investment for it why do we have to look after the interest rate, what is the discount for cash analysis, these all topics will be covered. 3rd course is Trading Basics. This course is also on Coursera which is offered by ISB this is 8 hours course and this is also a beginner-level course. This is a very simple course in which you will get to know how the financial statement will look, analyzing it a little bit and extra focus will be given to pricing theories. The 4th course is Advanced Valuation and Strategy this course is offered in Coursera by Erasmus University it is a 10hrs course and it is an advanced level course. In this course basically, by using economics you will use game theory you will understand how discounted cash flow works on an advanced level in this, you will also cover the angle of how to incorporate finance in corporate strategy. The 5th course is Introduction to Financial Modelling This course is in Udemy and it's free also. To do this course you just need 2 hours and a beginner-level course. This course is recommended to all that person who wants to understand the basics of financial modeling. i.e. by using Excel how you predict the future of a company and based on that how do you take the decisions. This course is highly recommended if you simply want to go in finance or consulting field. Now before moving forward let me give a shout-out to today's sponsor. This is actually a simple course in which leadership skills, culture of an organization and how that impacts the behavior about all things are there in this. The 7th course is Managing Employee Compensation This is also offered on Coursera by the University of Minnesota this is also a 15hrs beginner-level course. This course basically discusses the compensation role of HR that how you compensate an employee fairly and what value does the non-monetary perks hold in the entire package. The 8th course is Recruiting, Hiring, and Onboarding Employees which is again offered on Coursera by the University of Minnesota This a 20hrs course of a beginner level. And this talks about that when you hire someone then how you find for best candidate how you select them and how you onboard them such that they align with the company's culture. The 9th course is People Analytics which is on Coursera offered by Wharton this is an 8hrs beginner-level course. Which tells you about how you evaluate the employee's performance using analytics, how you plan their future, and align with the company The next set of courses I personally recommend you that because they are the marketing courses and I absolutely love marketing. So these are my top recommendations 10th course on this list is Fundamentals of digital marketing this is offered by Google this is a 40hrs beginner-level course. Personally, I feel that for digital marketing this one course covers everything you don't need anything more. This is the best course you can do out there on digital marketing The 11th course is Inbound Marketing which is offered by Hub Spot This is a free course for a period of 5hrs. This is a beginner-level course. Inbound marketing means how you can create valuable content such that organically your reach increases. So in any company to increase organic reach if one wants to learn Inbound Marketing then this is the course for you. The 12th course is Brand Management: Aligning Business, Brand, and Behaviour this course is in Coursera and offered by London Business School This is a 17hrs course of a beginner level The course will try to explain to you A-Z about brands how your behavior impacts when you see any brand what are the components to make any brand valuable everything will get covered. The 13th course is Brand and Product Management This is offered on Coursera by IE Business School This is a 14hrs course of beginner level This course basically deals with the product that when a product launches how you manage its whole life cycle. How you do it's branding that aspect of a business. The 14th course is An Introduction to Consumer Neuroscience & Neurology This is offered by Copenhagen Business School This is a 25hrs course of a beginner level And this deals with your mind how your mind perceives marketing businesses, brands this is an absolutely wonderful course. At IIM Ahmedabad also there used to be a course on Neuroscience and this course has a large overlap with it. So would highly recommend it. The next set of courses deals with consulting, analytics, and with data So if you want to go into any of the fields then it will surely help you. So the 15th course on the list is Data-driven Decision Making it is offered by PWC, and this is a 9hrs beginner level course. This tells you that in any business by using data how you take decisions and in consulting this is one of the critical roles Data Analysis, and Data Synthesis. This course will definitely teach you that only in this you learn all the tools and techniques related to data, analysis technique which will help you in any career where there is a data extensive job. The 16th course is Pre-MBA Statistics which is offered by IIM Ahmedabad. On Coursera itself, this course will take 23hrs to complete and it is absolutely a beginner-level course. In this course basically, you will understand stats, data basic of regression, correlation. If you are going to do MBA then this course is a must for you because it will be useful in many other courses and in your job also how you take decisions using data how you analyze any of the things in that it will help you. The 17th course is Effective Business Presentations with Powerpoint which is offered by PWC on Coursera. This is a 10hrs course at a beginner level. Which basically tells you about how to make business presentations when you use the ppt tool there how you can make such a ppt which can be presentable by using which you can easily explain what you want to say in a professional manner So this will help you in any job you will do after your MBA. The 18th course is MS Excel which is offered by Learn Vern This is a 7hrs course of a beginner level in which will you understand the basics of excel if you don't have any idea about Excel if you want to understand from basic to advanced tools then this is the course for you. The 19th course is Problem-Solving with Excel Which is offered by PWC on Coursera. This is a 20hrs course of a beginner level Like how ppt is an important skill for consultants in the same way, it is important for you to understand that by using Excel how you can take decisions and that is what will be covered in this particular course. The 20th course is Introduction to Operations Management which is offered by Wharton on Coursera. This is a 9hrs begineer level course. This course will introduce you to operations management how you predict any process how you ensure it's quality. Basically how to resolve the bottle necks in operation that is what will be covered in this course.
