Gwent Strategies and Quest Planning

Hi all, we are back with episode 32. Bit of a mix of Gwent and Quest in this one, so please like, comment and sub if you enjoy. Right, uh, don't read numpties. Right, so should have everything back, should now have the ability to use alchemy again, so we can heal up.

Put everything back on. Why is my quick select not working? That's better. Right, okay, so now what else do we have to do? We need to go and play Gwent versus Roach, which is going to be there.

Roach. Come on, Roach. Get delayed recovery going again so that we can fully heal up because otherwise swallow on the last like 30 seconds or whatever Cool all right. What else have we got let's have a look Not I'm gonna be having any fights actually, but yeah, whatever Alright, cool. Pretty much just be playing Gwent for this little bit, so...

Oh, why is that trying to send me to Family Mass? I was following the yellow thing instead of the green marker. Dang them it. Nice little windmill there.

Okay, so we're going to go to the Temerian hideout. Um, then... We're going to play Roach.

And then after Roach, Roach tells you about... Who does Roach tell you about? I honestly can't remember. Roach tells you about somebody and then you play Tyler after that.

Oh, is it Lambert? I think Roach tells you about Lambert, yeah. So then you've got to play Lambert as part of Matter of Life and Death.

Not Matter of Life and Death, we just did that. As a matter of... To the one.

Not flesh for sale. What's that other quest called? Can't do two things at once. Multitasking is not a strong suit.

Following the thread. That's the one. That's the boy.

Where's Roach? Oh there he is. Cool.

So I think you get... I want to say you get a synthesis from Roach. Easy for me to say. Then yeah he tells you about...

Lambert and you either have to wait till Kaer Morhen or you have to do you have to play him before following the thread. You have to play him before following the thread finishes because you can still talk to him before the judge carried in bits and all those. We've got the decoys playing Northern Realms, so probably a good idea to have that. Got one Marjorm and two of those.

Yeah, this is pretty good. Got quite a few type bond cards all set up and one of those. Right, yeah, we'll go for that. Okay.

So what you kind of want to be doing here is playing these two and then playing the Marjorm and then bringing these back as well. So let's try that. There's Vesemir. So we'll play these.

Not got a great starting hand has he if you've got the poor frickin'infantry. Another great thing about having these is, if he doesn't scorch them, that we can play them again in the next round. Oh, well, that's not great. You can play them in the next round with Burner and the Decoy again if he's not going to play anything else with them.

So, we'll see. Attack Bond. yeah right so this is cool because there are four cards there and i've got burn burn a brand and the decoy right so i can let them play one and win this round which is like yeah whatever they have to play a card so then they get one back on the Northern Realm's winner ability. Which is like, yeah, cool. Whatever.

So I lose to a poor frickin'infantry. But then I get two cards back. And then after I get two cards back, I can use the other two. I can use Burner twice to bring them back again.

So they'll play Ciri. He'll play Ciri. I'll bring back this one first because then if they want to Scorch, they can do. and then I'll play Burner again.

Yeah just like that. And the reason we do that is because those being 12 each is not as powerful as having the other two. So they double their siege units. They might want to medic one back so I'll let them medic one card and then I'll scrap the others. So they can only medic one back if they play the uh you know their medic card.

And now if they play any medic cards it's not going to make a difference. play the two shield maidens and then unless they uh if they don't um they'd have scorched already if they had scorch for those two um and so unless they're if their last one's a weather card i'll just like double up the other row so say if they had a biting frost then i would do it on the other one instead they got three commanders on which are going to waste and this is the really really cool thing about using the um skelger uh bringing these two back with the skelger tray or with bernard brown and the decoys uh is that Once they're transformed you can double them up with that so they just become ludicrously powerful and if you had the third one and they were all transformed which is very rare but if you double them up then they're 48 each which is just absolutely absurd. There you go. When you get a chance win a card from Lambert. So yeah, there's a synthesis.

Which is again a Scoia'tael card, so we're not that bothered about it. But now, we want to finish following the thread, and that will let me play Lambert afterwards. So, let's speak to him. Where is following the thread? It's a multiple one.

So, I will now travel. I might pick up some of the places of power whilst we go back to Skalagir. I'll definitely pick up the one that's on the island we're going to. Let's fast travel across. Where are the places of power?

We've got one near here. We've got one here. One here.

One here. So, which ones do we want to get? Well, I'll go and do...

This first. Do Harviken first. That's a lot.

That's a lot. So we gotta wait for these. Right, so with those I still need another ability slot at level 18 which won't be that far away but then I can put Whirl or Rend on in that slot.

Could drop Undying for one of them as well if I wanted to do that. I don't think it's triggered but it is a nice little failsafe to have. We'll see.

It's not providing as much protection as any of the Witcher sets would be. Right, so... We want to...

Where is the... I'm sure there's a notice board around here somewhere. Let's have a look. I thought there was a notice board. Maybe there isn't, you know.

Oh weird. Let's have a look. Where are the undiscovered ones?

I wonder which one shows you up the um I wonder which notice board it is that shows up the Harviken ones then. I know where the place of power is it's here so I'll just set a marker for it and then go but how interesting I didn't realize it didn't have its own notice board. Um so we'll go this way first then we'll go and find Hammond.

Cool. Which oils have I got? Is one insectoid? Yes, because there are a lot of insects on this island.

And like a few sirens and other things as well. Which are hybrids, I want to say. And then there's the beasts and things as well.

Ooh, what's this? What's that? What is that?

Oh it's a rock troll! It's a rock troll that's buried in the ground! How bizarre!

That's really weird! What the heck! Anyway So we get this thing bleeding which is cool I need troll livers as well! Hopefully it drops me a Troll liver, but yeah. How bizarre!

Erm, you don't want to be hitting these things with quick attacks because it doesn't do much damage, so as you can see, quick attacks are very ineffective, but every attack is pretty good. Stunning with hard, slowing down with hard, you can hit them in the face with the erm, other ones, but yeah. Okay, got Troll down, cool. Troll liver please! Yeah, thanks.

I wonder what's in this cave then? Oh there's another one! An ice troll!

And it's level 26! What's in this cave? Why do I not remember this cave at all? Right whatever. Can you burn the ice troll?

With the light-icy. Nope, apparently not. Ow.

Well that would hurt. Uhh... Tell you what I do want to get, whilst we've got the toxicity for it and we're fighting this thing We can get a superior blizzard going and that will give me infinite science because I've got Maximum adrenaline so now I can just cast science whenever I want This is why Superiore Blizzard is so broken. Look at this. It's just absolutely ridiculous.

Why does it make no sense? It's so ridiculous this combination As soon as they announced the changes they were like, oh superior blizzard triggers when you're in danger. I was like alright cool let's find out what danger is because that's potentially absolutely broken and it is absolutely broken because it's just like whenever you're in fights basically.

Which just makes no sense because it's unbelievably strong. Worth going to Tucson just for that. So this is a level 26 ice troll and it just basically just didn't hit me at all did it.

Let's be honest. Got anything for me? Oh it didn't drop me anything that's rude.

I wanted another cave troll liver. Oh well, cool. Whatever. Is there anything even in here? Just a couple of trolls.

I don't remember this cave at all. This game is so cool. How can you still be finding things? Because there's no quest associated with this that I remember.

So we've got like a random little door that we can't trigger with anything that I can see. Is there anything else here? I can't see anything.

That's the troll that I already took out. Is it literally just a cave with a few trolls in and nothing else? I must be missing something, but I'm not going to spend ages derailing the playthrough. I've got a cave troll liver, so that's enough for me. That's cool.

And then somewhere I should be able to jump up. Oh, whatever. How bizarre, that was really weird. I can use that cave troll liver to make whichever of the oils it was that I needed, whichever of the enhanced oils it was.

Let's have a look. So, I can make either the superior cursed oil, or the enhanced relic, or the enhanced ogroid. There aren't that many cursed ones and I've already got the enhanced cursed oil.

So I will go with the enhanced ogroid because ogroids, nekkers and trolls and cyclopses are much more common than cursed enemies. You can kill the goats for like a ton of old goat hides as well usually. But for now we just want the place of power.

This is also the bit where you can pray and change the weather which is kind of cool. Get the place of power first. Oh, or not. Right, get the place of power first.

And then you can do the... You can climb up here actually, if you climb. And you can pray. And it changes the weather.

which is so cool. It also is at odds with what that guy tells you the druid Frithjof as part of the Gremist quest because he tells you that you need a sacrifice to be able to do it and it's just as well otherwise people would be doing it all the time. But on this island they just pray so who knows. So if you ever want to get a bit of money you can try and get some of this stuff goat hides and things as you can see there are loads of goats so if you feel like killing defenseless poor little goats for callously selling their hides for money then you can do. But by this point you should have tons of money anyway let's be honest.

Huh? So we've got everything there, we'll just be keeping the toxicity up in a little bit. Not gonna hop on Roach because, although it is a bit of a trek to get this stuff.

This could use a sweeping. Is this where the... I can't talk to him, where's the barkeep?

Oh there's this guy. Just gonna meditate because this guy comes at like funny times from what I remember. And yeah, you can play Gwent against him and also...

He has some unique monster cards to buy, I think. Oh, I must have bought them in Tucson already. He normally does. But you can play Gwent against him, so we'll play him whilst I'm here.

You might be able to play the Armorer as well. I'll just check these off the list while I'm down here. It's got one of the cool monster abilities, but I can't remember what it is.

So we'll summon those from Ceres, so that's fine. We don't have Ermion, so we want to ditch one of those cards. Oh, we just swapped it for another one.

Ah, whatever. Okay so we'll play these two first because we don't have any uh... Marjoram or anything and we're not going to be able to steal any uh...

not going to be able to steal any cards from them either with the actual uh... with this thing so play one of these like this try and tempt them into taking back some more cards I'll try and get them to play some more and then see what they play. Right, like that for example, that'd be perfect. So they'll get one or two of the crones, yep.

I'll play Hjalmar. So if I take this off I'm going to lose 18 points but this should be pretty easy anyway because their deck's not very good. So I will play one of these. Okay, so then I'll take this back. And then I'll do the graveyard thing.

What have they got? I can't remember which leader card this is. Pick any weather card and play it instantly. Right, cool.

So they've got another weather card to come. But I'll just play one more. Bring one of these back. Doesn't really matter which. I'll do one of these because it's six strength.

They can't have any other medics actually so there's no point me actually using the graveyard ability. Erm, so I'll just leave it as it is because I might get the crack or another one back. Erm, no let's just do this. They're not gonna win anyway, they're way too far behind. Yeah but...

And it doesn't matter what we bring back, there's no way they can win this anyway. They'd need a Scorch and even then they'd lose. They'd need a Scorch and a Hero I think.

They'd need their own Hero card so they can go ahead of the score from Ceres and they'd need Bill or something like that. Might as well play these now, it's gonna make no difference. Yeah, because they lose anyway.

And then whatever would have happened in round three, and I just brought the cards back in one with the ability, so that would have been cool. Thank you. That's you sorted. And, yeah, this guy you can play as well.

Vanamara, I don't even remember what that is. Sounds like a dreadful card. It's not one of the good ones anyway, I can tell you that much. He doesn't have anything interesting.

Just sell this junk to him to get it out of my inventory. Cool. Let's play! Then I'll go and kill Hammond. There is another side quest you can get on the other side of this town.

Somebody's sister went missing or something. But to be honest it's a bit of a... boring run and fetch quests so I'm not really bothered about that. So I've got a Mardrom and Ermion so I can transform those.

So let's see what else we can get. So Dandelion and this Berserker are amazingly powerful together. Especially when I've got Burner.

So I'll just go with that. That's pretty cool. So they've got their own one there.

Erm, okay, so I'll play Dandelion first. This is another brutal combination you can do which is really quite fun. So they'll play that, double it up, yep that's cool.

But because it's Dandelion and not a Commander's Horn you can play this and then play this as well. Which is pretty strong as you might imagine. And then you can play Burner and Decoy them both back. as well which is crazy oh and so if i play my cards right pun intended i can play these in all three rounds which is just absurd i can play that berserker in all three rounds because i play this like this boom get back smack good stuff Then they'll play those and they'll be like, yay!

Give me those 15 score, that's pretty good, I'm nearly winning again. But then we medic back Dandelion again, which is why Dandelion's absurd in this. Like, not absurd, but he's very strong in this deck with these kind of combos. So then I get another 44, and I'm like, whoop whoop! And then whatever happens in round three, the ones I call back will either be these two for 31 points or, you know, some combination of those three.

And they're the only ones in my graveyard. So I can just pass this round now. It's not going to make a difference to me.

Whatever they end up doing they'll probably need multiple cards to be able to catch up. So they had to use their other muster one there, then they've got to use another six and they win by one, that's great. So I've got card advantage and then I summon these three back. Both at the start, get dandelion again, bang! Thanks for that.

They get a turn so they played say Synthesis but then if they've got any of those Havokar healers or anything I just rendered them all moot again. So yeah fun stuff you can do with the Skeleor deck. As you can see from my constant glee at using it it's tons of fun. Oh that's no fun! Alright fine.

Yeah absolutely wasted their Havokar healer so love it. As we've said many times, that's the advantage of doing it. Yeah, easy.

And even if they'd have scorched it, I'd have just taken Burner Bran off the board and then put her back and brought back the 28 power card again. 28 power for one card! I mean, I know you've got to transform it with the Marjoram, but that's why the Marjoram... Fire drums are so fun.

I love stuff like that. So you can go over that side. There's another quest that you can unlock.

You can do some fist fighting as well for one of the fist fighting things over the far side. Although actually I think that's part of another side quest. quest where you're trying to like romance one of the women who's like I'll only take them I'll only marry a strong man or something like that so those are regular harpies I think um I don't think any of those are erinneas from um so I'll not be uh dealing with those just yet I don't want to go out of my way to fight them unless they're erinneas but I know the ones on the uh Uriala harbour island are usually oh there are erinneas amongst them And that's where I can get erinia eyes from.

There is a cyclopsy gianty thing to fight somewhere here. And some insectoids which is why I checked if we had insectoid oil before. Oh those are wolves, don't want to fight them.

Dammit! What happens if you fight the wolves and the cyclops at the same time? Anyway, cyclopsy is yelling his head off.

Yeah yeah. Right, let's get some food. potions going for this big boy bad boy right what we got we'll get you and i want to ride back on roach but i can always just meditate again if i wanted to do that so let's have a look always swallow before anything else okay So, Blizzard, superbly powerful, so we use that for the slowdown. Because it's just so good, look! Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Ooh, that did a lot of damage. If only I had superior swallow. Yeah, yeah.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Get out of it, you big witch. Take a few heavy hits off this and then finish it off with a quick slash. Cool.

Cyclops Eye, fair enough. And then we go and find Hammond. And deal with that.

There are plenty of insect toys roaming around here usually. You normally come across them. And in fact, normally in Arakas as well.

Or they can definitely be in Arakas. It can spawn. Trying to think which side of this mountain I want to be on. I don't want to get stuck on the wrong side of the mountain. Because it's annoying to traverse if you do.

Yeah. Yeah, it should be fine. This is where you do flesh for sale.

If you don't speak to Lambert. Before you come to this area after having defeated the Yeah defeated the one person He's praying Oh, why am I fighting all these people? Do you normally fight everybody here? Honestly can't remember. Let's use Dragon's Dream, we haven't used that for a while.

So set these guys burning. And then hit them up with the Dragon's Dream. Alright. Get Superior Marivore so we get our adrenaline gain going and that's the reason I have the adrenaline gain and sort of get Marivore and Superior Blizzard going for large scale combat like this is because of the adrenaline gain. because once your adrenaline is at three and we've got resolve once our adrenaline points are at three points and we've got resolved you basically then can use superior Blizzard and get your effectively infinite signs because yeah and whirl and rend because superior Blizzard is bonkers right so few of the people around here oh yeah let's go great job Big pain.

Bleeding, hurting, everything's a pain. Kill this guy. Get those guys out of it first because they're annoying. You can still take hits on deathmatch, it's not the end of the world. Especially when you heal so quickly with Superior Swallow.

But yeah, these guys are annoying. Yeah, and that's why we have Resolve as one of the red skills as well. Though I probably could do without it in terms of swap it for Whirl or Rend. And then when I get another slot back, put Resolve back on.

Because we wouldn't be losing... so much health, or taking hits so often that... basically we'll not be taking hits so often that we'll be losing a lot of adrenaline anyway especially not when we'll have superior Marigot active all the time as well because sword blows will build a lot back and the last part of that is we've also got razor focus so I'll put another two points in that so resolve isn't actually like mega necessary at the moment one more guy hello sup dude losing quite a lot of health there bud get rekt orders from Hammond, yep cool. So loot all this stuff, there's plenty of things to sell.

More orders from Hammond, so a couple of them have got the orders. Yeah so whilst I remember I'll actually just swap resolve for something else so like I could put the point in rend. Just have that instead. Go with that.

Try that out for a little bit. I also want to get the points in whirl. So I need one more place of power. And then.

Or one more level. And then I'll have an extra slot. And I can put three points of whirl in that. So that'll be our next port of call.

Don't like whirl quite as much when you don't have severance. Rend is still pretty useful. But both of them are absolutely amazing when you've got rend on your sword.

When you've got severance on your sword. Probably still the best of the enchantments. Even though it's a level 2 one, not level 3 in my opinion. You get the most actual benefit from it. Because what are the other ones?

It's like... What is the other level 3 one? Can't remember. Because a lot of the good magic glyph words are actual glyph words like on your armour, enchantments. Like eruption and things like that.

Placation is level 1. Invigoration sucks. That's level 3. The maths behind invigoration is really bad. You don't want invigoration.

Somebody tells you invigoration is amazing and they basically don't. what they're talking about unless you've got like a really specific build which uses refreshment and fast metabolism and even that's not amazing with it because it's only ever one hit at a time one strike of yours and it goes away if you get hit and you have to heal when you're already at full and it's not compatible with like war tag decoction or any of those because you now can't be at 100% health because heightened tolerance got nerfed to 80% so even if you are healing when you think you're at full health you're never actually at full health because you're always one point short because you always lose health then gain it back at the same time So you're never technically at full health, which is why Warthog decoction isn't good anymore. Because you can't have 100% potion resistance. So in order for Warthog decoction to be effective, your overall toxicity has to be less than 80%. In anything post-patch 4.0.

That's why we don't use Warthog decoction anymore. Which is really interesting, because I used to prioritise, Oh, you can go and kill a Warthog really early, and you can... you know, killer level 15 one, it's quite a difficult fight but it gets you the best mutation in the game and all this stuff the best mutagen in the game because it gets you war tag decoction and you can use it for the whole game and it's brilliant and it doesn't hurt you and it's a 50% damage bonus and all this kind of stuff but that isn't applicable anymore because you'd have to have your total toxicity below 80% in order for that war tag decoction to be taking effect and there are much more powerful things like delayed recovery where you want to have everything you want to practically you're always going to be over 80% toxicity. So you never want to be using the war-tagged decoction with it, even if you're using war-tagged decoction and acquired tolerance, and have enough toxicity to keep the potions active with delayed recovery.

Which is mathematically possible, by the way. I'm sure this is all riveting stuff, but hopefully you sort of understand what I'm going on about. If you don't, go and watch my Alchemy Anthology video. where I explain all of this including how the maths works for potion toxicity with delayed recovery and how it doesn't take and how it needs to be just potion toxicity as a proportion of your total toxicity. Right so we've got some dragon warriors we'll kill them and as long as you've not got cut scenes or dialogue or anything this is why superior blizzard and delayed recovery is so Ridiculous because like it stayed active for this fight now even from the other one and it just gives you a ton of monstrous power There we go, although you can notice straight away that having resolve Not be active does mean that we don't stick at the three adrenaline points to have the full benefit of the blue mutagen which is why we Do want them in the final build as soon as we've got the space for them We want to be able to fit both of them back on there again So that's rend and resolve and also will all on the same thing.

What's that? Is that Wyvern? Looks like a Wyvern.

Don't need to fight that though Normally in Arakasa knocking around here somewhere. Doesn't seem to be now though. Those are the sirens that part that other side quest.

Not bothered about them. Right, now we've got some dialogue here so I'd imagine that Superior Blizzard wears off. So I'll have to try and remember to use it as soon as that's sorted.

Yep, there we go. Right so, yep Blizzard's worn off so I can use that again because I already had 25 spare toxicity and again when there's like big groups of them it's very useful to use stuff like Samhem or Dancing Star or indeed all of them all together. And get a Devil's Puffball in there.

Because I've got Golden Aureole active. Oh my life! The damage! What the heck man?

Absolutely ridiculous. Ridiculous! So we'll burn him, other guys get poisoned.

That damage is just a bit outrageous really. So he dies from poisoning. Set him on fire again. Bye dude! Cut his head off.

Okay, cool. Well that was easy. Get that and then I think this is a letter from Jad Carradine saying I renounce my evil ways or something like that.

I think so. Face to face talk, don't want to keep in touch with you there, especially don't want any business with you, no doubt the enterprise with you. Just count me out, plenty of other potential buyers. I don't want to get involved. Yeah, some of the other stuff.

Why am I losing so much health when I've still got Swallow active? Uh, because Golden Aureole's run out, that's weird. That's very weird.

Seriously, look, why am I losing health when I've still got Superior Swallow active? Oh, it's building back up now. Yeah, it must have just been because I was still stood in the poison, but for some reason Golden Aureole wasn't active. Oh, because I'd not put it on.

Oh, you muppet! I did that whole thing and I thought I had Golden Aureole active and it was like one of the only ones I didn't. Oh well, still managed to do it. Superior Golden Oriole actually heals you when you're in the poison cloud so the Devil's Puffball not only rips off enormous amounts of their health but it also allows you to basically heal yourself up if you have the Superior Golden Oriole.

That's really cool as well. Right, so we're going to run back to our past travel marker. Before I actually go and visit Lambert, I am going to go and do some of the other things. So, I don't recall there being any places of power on this island. I could be wrong.

I don't remember there being. I'll come back to that. There definitely is on Uriala Harbour because there's this one.

And you can go on either of these two paths. This one there are no enemies, this one there are harpies and I think... Some of them are Irinia, so we're going to go and do that now.

I want to try and get the one or two of the hybrid oils if I can. The enhanced and all the Irinia eyes I get, if I get any. If not, I'll just get them later, it's not a big deal. But yeah, you can only get them from Irinia's, which are the level 15 or 16 Harpies. The ones that you fight in Skellige.

I don't think there's any way you can fight Irinia's before you get here. Alright, okay. Let's tower out of nowhere.

There are a couple of people you can play at Gwent here as well. But I'll just do the quest while I'm here and then go. That's where you fight Olaf. There's also another rabid rock troll at the base of the path before you start climbing.

So sometimes that will drop you a troll liver as well, like the other one did. Usually here in fact, the troll. Yep.

Oh, it doesn't seem like there is a troll around here. Usually there is. Unless that's it. I don't think it would be. I don't think it would be.

Is that the troll? Yeah, I think it might be. Let's go and have a look. Oh yeah it is. Shelter in bars, fine.

Okay, so there's your rabid rock troll. Slow it down with it, because it's pain in the neck. Can you damage these things with poison?

I can never remember. Yep, you can. Cool.

So that's taken a lot of damage. It's very useful. Look at that.

And also healing me whilst I'm there. So that's good. So yeah, you can see that rips off enormous chunks of health from it. In fact, very difficult to burn a troll, but you can do it. And so with the burning and the poisoning you get absolutely tons.

Got the cave troll liver there, so... I'll be able to make one of the superior oils. So superior cursed or enhanced relic?

Well, should go enhanced first really. Or superior ogroid. Pretty rare that we actually fight relics so I need another two of those.

But you do start to come across the sort of... Oh those aren't harpies those are sirens. Do I really want to fight those then?

Are they just sirens or are they harpies as well? In which case I don't want to be fighting them. I only wanted to be fighting them because I thought they were harpies and would be erenias potentially.

I'll find the harpies someplace else. There is still a siren. They're not normally on this side but normally it's alright to try and jump across without engaging this thing in combat if at all possible. You can climb up here. Erm, normally not too difficult actually, but it's causing me issues here.

You don't normally, erm, slide down quite so easily. Can we jump up please, Geralt? Seriously, it's not normally this bad getting up here.

I normally manage it first time. Run across this path. This is where you get the Ursin armour as well.

If you're wanting to do that. I actually have a different plan for the gear that I'm going to use in this playthrough so I'm not prioritising getting the Ursin armour yet. I can come back and get it later I suppose. Because right now I just want to get my Geralt card.

Might take a little break in real life soon actually. I'll just come and get this place of power first. We're very, very close to being level 18 as well.

So I'll just climb up here, get the place of power. Where am I going to find an erinia then? I need to find that. They are definitely, definitely are some of them around in Skellige.

You get them when you go to the island where you help Shelmar with the ice giant. So you can definitely get them there anyway. Alright, cool. Whoops, extinguishing that apparently. And here we go.

So, another place of power. Nice easy one. Okey-dokey.

No, no, no, no, don't fall. Place of power. Cool.

Trial of dexterity token, or trail of dexterity token, I can't remember which it is. Right, gained one ability point. Cool, so with that ability point we want to put... Three points in the world and we'll be able to put that here when we get the next slot.

That's pretty cool. And that will be in about 50 experience points which is not very many at all. So basically there. Almost there. Oh and if you want you can sort of like cowabunga down this.

I'm sure there's like a massive slide hill you think you can slide down. Whee! I get the trophy for this probably on PS4.

They don't have it on PS4. Roar! Top fun. Slide all the way down.

There you go. And there's actually something you can get for... I didn't get the trophy, that sucks. There's also something you can get, um... There's one of, uh, there's like a side quest and you get the Trial of Dexterity and the Trial of something else down there.

But I can't remember how you do it, I'm not gonna do it in a minute, and my voice is starting to fail me, so... We're actually just gonna go back to Civilization, fast travel back, we look like wolves, and then, uh, get some of the other places of power. That's pretty good.

Might just play a game or two of Gwent before we go. Against these people. So...

Nobody in here. Okay. We do have the blacksmith. Can't play that person. You're not a Gwent player.

Where's the blacksmith? He plays Gwent. Where are you blacksmith?

Must be a time thing. Just meditating. See if the blacksmith or armour is there.

Try and get another couple of cards. Although they'll be random cards so... Yep, there he is. Hello!

Gwent? Gwent? Talk to him then.

Seriously, where's that patch-mouth gone now? That's annoying. Is he only there at like really early in the morning?

Uh, my guy? Where are you? What the heck? How bizarre!

Okay. I'll see if clearing these sorts it first. This is a tower out of nowhere quest so yeah yeah yeah.

This tower appeared out of nowhere blah blah blah blah blah. Right. Yeah, there we go.

Right, so there's tower out of nowhere. Meet Lambert by the Inn. There is a blacksmith who we can play as well I think. Uh huh.

This innkeeper is here at really weird times I think. One of the innkeepers is at really weird times but um I can't remember if it's this guy or not but... Alright cool.

This guy got anything to buy? Just one lone scorch card so we've got all three of those if we wanted them. Up for a few.

A few rounds of Gwent, damn right. Right, so there's one Scorch card. I've got two of those for the Titebond, we always like having Burner.

Er, right. That's decent, that's a good enough hand. Should have really, er, mulliganed away the Mardron, but never mind. Okay. Interesting.

What a weird little combination of cards I've got there. Oh, play these two twice. That's weird. Okay.

So if I play these, might as well do this. Play the Marjoram because it's going to be a waste of time anyway. Dandelion, play Charmire, just try and get some more cards out of them and then I'll just bleed them out with the third round when I get to bring back my cards for free. So we've got one Shieldmaiden in the graveyard so I can bring that back with Verna and the decoy.

Ooh they've got Geralt! Geralt to match my Cirilla. See, I'm sort of saving that Scorch card but I suppose I don't really need to. Right, so they doubled that seed which is very convenient.

It lets me do this. They could have their Medic card but I need to bring my Shieldmaiden back first. Now I might as well use my... Graveyard power?

Whoa, definitely not now. But that's fine though, because whichever of these gets brought back, I'll be winning anyway. So, take Burner back, see what else they play.

Right, no point me playing that round then because it's going to be difficult to win. Whereas I can just do this anyway. bring back both of those see what three cards they've got all right now we get rid of those i didn't have anything else in my graveyard anyway Should have waited actually in case the last one was a scorch, not that it would be but just in case. That could have gone poorly, oh well. Yay we win.

If that was a biting frost that would have been a very different story but... What can you do? Dems the luck of the draws.

Hey look it's a shield mate. Gargoyle, another pathetic monster card. Monster's got some bad cards in his deck, seriously.

Then again, they all do, I suppose. Erm, is there a... Armour?

I think there is. Let's have a look. I feel like there should be a blacksmith about...

Oh no, it's the bench, right right right. Oh, now we can talk to him! Don't you lure time.

Now we can. I don't think I'll have any cards for sale. You have to always check in Skellige though, because like, weird people have got cards.

Erm, so yeah. Play Gwent! I'm gonna play the other guy, the armourer on the other side of town, and then I'm gonna have a little in-real-life break. Right, so he's playing monsters so I'm not that fussed about keeping the decoys.

Do I have anything to marge or I'm just the one? So I'll swap one of those out. And then... Probably one of the decoys.

Doesn't look like this is a very strong deck in either case. So I'll play my little 2 power card there. I'll be playing this.

I've got a villain Tretameth, which is cool. Transform you. Looks like it's going to be a pretty straightforward game, to be honest.

Oh well, they've got the Arrakas at least. And they're unlikely to have a medic, so I can either use the decoy and burner, or I can just take this back. Now it remains transformed.

See if they play another card, which they don't. Scorch, and then win. Job's a good'un. Right, so I bring back the 8 strength card, then I'll send everything back to the graveyard. The only medic they could possibly have would be Yennefer, if they were to have that.

Scrap those... You need to play even more cards, that will resummon all the ghouls again but they're only like 3 points total so... Barely even matters, it's like one bad card. For the cost of having 3 in your deck which is just dreadful. Why are you taking that back again?

Again, that's awful. So they've got three cards basically. They've already played the Vampires, they've got a really weak deck so it's unlikely that they have the Crones. They have got the cool leader ability though where you can discard two to draw one, that's quite good. But alas it is all for naught because I start off with a 13 point advantage.

You play the Crones, that's fine. I'm going to go with the Crones. And I play Ceres.

And then you either have a medic to bring back Vil, or you have Scorch, or you lose! And as the case may be, that might have been one they recalled anyway, I didn't even pay attention. The answer is, you lose.

Fun! Alright, cool, so that's that. So I'll just play this last person.

Then I'll go and speak to Lambert. So you go and speak to Lambert at the inn and then you can play him after that and then do the Jad Carradine bit if you want. Don't think they'll have anything for sale but we'll just double check.

Nope. Gwent it is! Whoa.

Yeah! Hmm... Right, so, bit of a mishmash. Let's have a look what we want to do. We don't have anything for the Maradrone first.

Alright nice, now we'll keep those. And then we'll be able to play that twice. And we'll have Dandelion so we've got that insane combination again. I probably don't want the Scorch versus Nilfgaard so... Right, so let's try this again shall we?

Yeah, alright, fine. So they scorch that. Bring it back! Then transform it. We've got Yen as well so we can bring them back for a second time.

Oh, interesting. Right, well I'm just gonna pass then because you just gave me another 16 score and I've got two medics, so... I'm good!

There you go! My turn indeed. We'll play Burner... And then we'll play... whatever his name is.

Nice. Right, that's pretty cool. I'll just play Helmar to make them play more cards.

I don't want to play any more really because I want to replay some combination of the Dandelion and I want to play these two guaranteed basically. So they can bring that back, that's fine. 6 cards each except I start out with a much higher amount and I can use my leader ability straight away because I'll either get Burner and she'll pull the third card or I'll get the two that I want anyway.

Like that in fact. Oh they got Vil that sucks. Oh well, never mind. It's a bit of a blow not gonna lie. Can't do anything about it.

Make sure they can't play that spy back again. I'll just play these in order of weakest to strongest. They already pretty much forced them to play Villain Tretemir. So they will be able to get pretty decent scores especially if they've got the other young Emmer.

I'm sure that'll be a problem. But I think with them having that it's going to be pretty difficult. Dandelion's already doubling up that row so I might as well double this card there. Yep, and we win. Winner.

Nice! Right, if I pull before I... Take stock of where everything is, I'm just going to nip back and I'm going to get the Geralt card and everything. Don't need those other places of power just yet in Skellige, but I can nip back and get them whenever I want. So we'll try and get the Geralt card first.

Umm, Southern Gate. There's a person to play over here as well. I'll have to try and mark that on my map so I don't forget. We'll go to the Southern Gate.

Closest place to go? In order to get to the lumber, but nowhere in. Hey all, and thanks so much for watching as always. Please like, comment and subscribe. And I'll see you all next time, on the path.
