Game Setting
Players awaken from hypersleep on the
Nemesis
spaceship.
Situation: A crew member is dead, alarms are blaring, and alien intruders are present.
Objective: Explore rooms, gather weapons and supplies, complete secret objectives, and survive.
Game Setup
Board and Tiles
Place the game board (double-sided) with red arrow icons facing up.
Gather room tiles labeled with "2" and shuffle them.
Place one tile facedown on each designated "2" space.
Gather room tiles labeled with "A1," shuffle, and place on remaining spaces.
Shuffle exploration tokens and place one facedown in each room.
Shuffle and place coordinates cards facedown.
Place tokens for escape pods:
Example: For a 3-player game, reveal 3 escape pods and place in order.
Shuffle engine tokens (one working, one damaged) for each engine and place them.
Set up the intruder board and shuffle weakness cards.
Organize intruder tokens by type and prepare for drawing.
Set up the different action decks (item, event, contamination, serious wounds).
Place character miniatures off to the side or in the box if space is limited.
Crew Setup
Deal help cards based on player count (e.g., 1-3 for 3 players).
Separate and shuffle standard objective cards into personal and corporate decks.
Deal one card from each deck to each player, kept secret.
Shuffle character draft cards; players choose characters in order.
Players set up character boards and inventory.
Place a blue character corpse token in high Burnet aureum.

Card Draw
: Each player draws 5 cards from their action deck.
Turn Order
: First player token transfers clockwise (skipped in the first round).
Player Turns
: Each player performs up to 2 actions:
Basic Actions
: Movement, careful movement, pickup heavy object, trade, craft item, search, shoot, melee attack.
Players can pass their turn.
Movement
: Can move to neighboring rooms, rolling for noise.
Encounter
: Triggered by noise roll or events, where intruders may appear.
Combat
: Engage intruders with shoot or melee attacks, and resolve attacks.
Event Phase
Move time marker.
Resolve intruder attacks.
Fire damage step.
Resolve event cards and intruder bag development.
Draw an intruder token and resolve effects.
Endgame Conditions
Time marker reaches the final red space, ship jumps to hyperspace.
Ship is destroyed by exceeding fire or malfunction tokens, or self-destruct.
Last character dies, hibernates, or escapes via pod.
Victory Check
Engines Check
: Check engine statuses.
Coordinates Check
: Check ship's destination.
Contamination Check
: Scan for infection among remaining characters.
Objective Check
: Players reveal objectives and check for completion.
Objectives
Types include:
Player must die, Queen must be killed, signal sent, ship reaches specific destinations, discover intruder weaknesses, destroy nest.
Important Notes
Use reference sheets for room and special actions.
Observe critical gameplay moments (first encounter, first death, self-destruct, hibernation).
Characters may have quest items with specific tasks to unlock.
