Accessing Blackboard

• Login: Blackboard Login Page
  • Courses are available only from the first day of class.
  • Check course schedule for start dates.
• Technical Support:
  • Contact IT department for assistance at (919) 866-7000.
• Attendance Requirement:
  • Complete the Course Entry Quiz (CEQ) by the 10% mark of the semester to stay enrolled.
• Proctoring:
  • Tests or assignments may require completion in a testing center.
  • Off-campus testing centers may incur charges._

Student Email Account

• Use Wake Tech student email for all class communication.
• Activate my.waketech.edu account.
  • Wait 24 hours post-activation.
  • Access email via Office 365.
  • Official communications are sent to this email exclusively.

System Announcements

• Blackboard is a registered product of Blackboard Inc.
• System accounts require username and password.

Multi-Factor Authentication

• Download an authenticator app (e.g., Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, Authy).
• Set Up MFA:
  1. Install and open the authenticator app.
  2. Scan the QR code or copy the given key.
  3. Enter the generated 6-digit code to finalize setup.
• MFA is required for login on unrecognized devices.
