hi i'm richard byrne in this video i'm going to show you how to link to a specific section of a page within google sites let's go ahead and take a look here at my sample google site and you can see here i have my home page with this little section of text then i have this section about my dogs and i have this section about my cats and let's say i'm going to add another section in here let's just use this layout and say this is more about me i like to ride bikes and i'm going to add a picture over here let's go ahead and upload a picture and i have one on my desktop so let's find one here and i'm going to find a picture of my bicycle there it is and i'm going to add that picture into this page now let's go ahead and publish it and we'll see here our draft and our currently published and we'll publish and now let's view the published version and we'll see i now have the section about my dogs this is more about me this is a section about my cats now notice as i hover over each one of these section headers there's a little link here this heading link so i'm going to copy the heading link for this section is about my cats by the way i don't really have a mountain lion just wanted to put in that picture so i'm just going to copy this link here and now wherever i share that link when people click on it they'll be directed to this exact section of the page and that can be really helpful if you have a long page of resources for students and you want them to go directly to a specific section just put that link in google classroom or any other learning management system that you use so that's how you can link to specific sections within a page in google sites as always for more things like this please check out freetechforwardteachers.com or subscribe to my youtube channel
