anyone can aim but how do you go about aiming effectively just keep in mind these tips work in most firstperson Shooters not just TF2 first off finding the right sensitivity is extremely important I know every single aiming guy tells you this but it's because it's important now made chapters to each part so if there's a specific section you want to go to or skip then go right ahead for anyone else that doesn't understand the importance of sensitivity let's show you how to find a sensitivity that works best for you there's different things you can do to find what sensitivity is best for you however I'm going to tell you the way I found my own I'd recommend moving your sensitivity towards the middle and going up or down from there until it feels natural for you to test your sensitivity properly you can go into training maps like TR walkway or create a custom game versus Bots and play around with it keep in mind usually lower sensitivity is better however you can make use out of high sensitivity as well keep in mind there's also DPI sensitivity which is usually found on gaming mice DPI changes your sensitivity to different speeds whenever you click a button on your gaming mouse usually you can change your DPI without these buttons but it's not as easily done after you've hopefully found the sensitivity that works best for you let's move on to some helpful tips tracking is obviously just following a person's movement with your mouse the best you can flicking is more so relying on muscle memory to hit shots where you move your mouse very quickly from one point to another to try to hit a Target Jitter aiming is when you Jitter or move your mouse rapidly from side to side over an enemy's hit box most commonly used with automatic weapons aim trainers are incredibly good for practicing aim I mean obviously that's kind of what it's there for you can use maps as well main one being TR walkway but there are other options for example OSU is sometimes used as an aim trainer you may think it's weird but there's a reason some professional players use it playing aim Trainers for at least 15 to 30 minutes a will greatly increase your aim and reaction time I recommend using aim trainers and practice Maps as warmups meaning you do it before getting into a game it helps you get back into aiming and flicking appropriately you don't need to play these that much but if you want pretty consistent aim I'd recommend doing it at least once a day for around 30 minutes that's only if you dream of becoming the sweat Lord of every server and if you do well more power to you I guess [Music] bullet spread more like spread those legs baby a anyway if you've been living under a rock there's a mechanic in some games called bullet spread in TF2 this randomizes your bullet spread or depending on the server you are on it is a fixed pattern still confused let me show you an example of what I mean this is randomize bullet spread and this is an example of a fixed bullet [Music] spread learning how your bullets will spread depending on what weapon you use is extremely useful it helps you know where to aim to get the best use out of your guns gives you an idea of what ranges your guns are more effective at and helps you understand your enemy's gun pattern so you can capitalize off of it why would it help you capitalize off of your enemies because it makes you understand how the enemy guns fire understanding how the guns spread works even for classes you don't actually play unless you understand how much Freedom you have when fighting them let me show you an example your scout versus a soldier he shoots next to you dealing some Splash damage it also knocks you back a little because of how the rocket launcher blast spreads it deals knockback and damage his rocket takes time to travel to you yours is instant as soon as you shoot with which is known as hit scan knowing this you may play this fight differently probably something like this instead unless you get killed by a random crit of course then you know [ __ ] everything I just said in this video cuz it doesn't matter anymore now that you've spent some time understanding bullets spr let's move to the next [Music] topic while playing it's easy to get trigger happy but it's important to try try to read your enemy's movement beforehand this will help you lead your next shots better for example don't take on fights like this but instead like this while fighting an enemy it's easy to start panicking try your best to combat this there are ways to help yourself combat panicking one way I personally do a lot is just taking a second to stop shooting and breathe this helps clear your mind and read your enemy's movement better taking the the time to analyze a situation can sometimes be better than continuing to Fire and trying to guess where they will be sometimes you just have to guess though don't be afraid to take chances with a shot if you feel it's necessary often times you'll find yourself fighting someone and both of you are Panic firing if this happens it's usually whoever calms down first wins the fight try your best to get in the habit of combating it as soon as you start noticing you're starting to panic you'll win a lot more gunfights this way [Music] sometimes it's hard to keep Focus while playing however there are things you can do to make yourself less distracted wearing minimal Cosmetics using guns with smaller visual models like the lugermorph or bizarre bargain or maybe even trying out different Huds for a cleaner look I personally use hex HUD and it works for me often times you miss shots it can be because you are thinking way too hard before taking a shot usually good shots are from Pure reaction time this isn't the case for everyone though but if you find yourself missing shots and can't figure out why maybe this is why if this is happening to you there's some things you can do to try to fix this play sitting in a more comfortable or relaxed position let your enemy run into your Crosshair then click when they cross it don't wait forever though just analyze how they are moving and place your Crosshair a little bit ahead of where your best guess is that they'll move to XD is so [ __ ] bad because you didn't get a head shot there okay listen [ __ ] if you try to get nothing but head shots you'll actually miss a lot more kill opportunities are you telling me in this situation you were going to wait for him to peek his head [ __ ] no I'm going to shoot that [ __ ] in the foot [Music] bro taking care of yourself mentally and physically actually has a big effect on your aim and how you play getting at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep every night drinking water and having self-confidence all plays a huge role in having better and more consistent aim from what I've seen most people that complain about having inconsistent aim is because of a big lack of self-confidence be nicer to yourself and treat yourself with respect you won't notice how much of a difference it makes until you actually start improving on it hopefully you've learned a lot and if you didn't then I'm sorry for wasting your time I guess there's a lot of ways to improve your aim of course but just remember one thing if you are looking at this video because you feel like you have a lot of hours and you still think you're bad just remember this is a very casual based game one good thing about TF2 is that you can just get on and hang out with people you you don't need to sweat or impress anyone and if you feel like you do then you have the wrong idea having any kind of competitive mindset can be incredibly damaging to you and others that you play with so if you choose to have that mindset make sure you are ready to mentally handle it first thank you very much for watching and I will most likely make this a bit of a series talking about various ways to improve focusing on other topics also a big thank you to my Discord server for actually helping me write the script on this one as always be safe be kind and have fun playing [Music] [Music] [Music]
