Shadok's Heroic Encounter Guide

Overview

Typically first or second encounter in the raid
Considered the easiest boss of the tier
Spawned by killing trash around the raid
Boss spawns from the gates of Bailrock and patrols with two dogs: Riplim and Rageface
Boss is immune to taunt

Focus on controlling the interaction between the boss and his dogs
Main Tank: Pick up Shanhoks
Off Tank: Pick up Rip Limb and drag him 80 yards away from the boss
Separation Anxiety Buff:
- Occurs when Rip Limb is too far away to the boss
- Causes tank damage to be unhealable
Wraithface Mechanics:
- No threat table; changes targets periodically
- Tank faces away from Wraith due to frontal cleave
- Frontal cleave applies a stacking debuff

Cast every 40 seconds
Spear thrown near Riplim's location
Riplim fetches spear back to Shanox
Important to deal with mechanic to reset debuff stacks
- Off Tank should move Riplim far from animation
- Use abilities like Life Grip, Heroic Leap
- Apply slows when Riplim fetches spear
- Death Knight's Chains of Ice can be used if necessary

Immolation Trap:
- Leaves a damage over time effect
- Increases damage taken
- Clearable with Anti-Magic Shell
Crystal Trap:
- Stuns target in a tomb until broken by damage
- Used to clear Feeding Frenzy buff on dogs

Riplim:
- Stacks cleared naturally due to Hurl Spear
Rageface:
- Needs to be encased in Crystal Trap to reset stacks
- Position in front of a trap, kite to drop stacks

Rageface pounces and mauls target
Cancelled by dealing 30k (10-man) or 45k (25-man) damage in a single hit
Assign a mage to handle
- Crit chance increased by 50% during channel
- After breaking effect, Rageface targets the player who broke it
- Blink away, kite, potentially lure to a Crystal Trap
- Dogs cannot be trapped more than once every 25 seconds
