Logan's Sergeant narrowly escaped a horrific crash during a practice session for the Dutch Grand Prix when his Williams car burst into flames the incident occurred as sergeant lost control of his car in wet conditions while exiting the bank turn three causing him to hit the barriers and spin 270° with his right rear wheel detaching in the process the rear of the car then erupted in powerful orange Flames fellow driver George Russell visibly concerned pulled alongside the 23-year-old American and urged him to get out of the cockpit following instructions from his race engineer G Jago who alerted him that the car was on fire Sergeant visibly shaken quickly scrambled out to safety
