if you've ever looked at your iPad and thought "This could be more." Then this video is for you i've been testing accessories that don't just look cool they change how your iPad fits into your life dodo Case makes some of the best designed best crafted cases I've ever used and all of them are actually handmade in the US which I can really appreciate using bookbinding techniques and premium material so I first want to highlight the Magic Keyboard book style case because for me it solves a real problem apple's Magic Keyboard looks great types great but it doesn't really protect the case itself case gets dirty and it looks like everyone else's out there but the Dodo case wraps the whole iPad and keyboard combo in a hardback shell uses a custom Tyvex strap and it holds the keyboard in place without interfering with anything so you can just snap your iPad in just like you normally would but now the whole setup is protected and it looks premium doesn't look like everybody else's not just a boring tech slab and it still charges the Apple Pencil next I want to highlight the Magic Keyboard durable sleeve now this one's a waxed canvas on the outside and it's just a soft lining inside and all it literally does is let you slide your Magic Keyboard right in i've never really seen anything like this because again the Magic Keyboard especially the white versions do tend to get kind of scuffed up and dirty and it's like maybe you don't want a whole extra case on the outside but you just want something that's going to keep it nice when it's in the backpack or when you're taking it from place to place perfect for travel because what's crazy is it actually fits the Apple Pencil right there as well which I find to be a benefit because sometimes the Apple Pencil can get knocked off or lost but when it's in this you don't have to worry about it plus I do just like the looks right everything Dodo case does it's just a totally different unique really nice premium aesthetic and this sleeve has this nice little subtle grip as well so it's functional doesn't just look good so I would say if you commute or travel a lot this is a really good-looking functional way to kind of keep everything in good shape one super unique thing from Dodo Case I have to talk about is that you can go on their website and you can custom build your own option meaning there's over 400,000 combinations you get to pick the colors the materials the elastic band style they'll even monogram it if you want so it's not made for everyone it's very rare we can go out and get this level of craftsmanship and personalization and just make whatever fits you not just whatever someone happened to sell on their website or put out on a shelf and then we have the English bridal leather case and I got to say this thing's pure class it's made from American tanned leather by Wicked and Craig and has natural marks a soft interior this one doesn't work with the keyboard but there is a model that does and if you just use the iPad as a tablet then this kind of case feels like a lifelong object meaning the leather is going to darken it's going to get this patina over time you're familiar with that or another way to phrase that is the more you carry it the more you use it and have it the better it's going to look over time slash the more personalized now part of the beauty of the iPad is that wherever you go it can go but if you need more screen real estate you're kind of stuck that is unless you bring something like the perfect UMAX 24 with you because this is a legit 24 and a half inch QHD display so it's crisp it's bright it's 100% sRGB 165 Hz but it's also freaking thin very portable and powered by a single USBC cable now caveat if you do want to bring this with you to a meeting travel with it take it to the coffee shop or something which would be crazy you can actually do that but I found that it needed an external power supply that said it works great at the desk as well so you can kind of get a picture as you're looking at it here like yeah this could make working from a hotel room when you're traveling like a little bit better or maybe at that co-working space just plug it straight in and it works so it is mobile kind of with some caveats it's not the crispiest screen I've ever encountered i want to be clear but it does have clean bezels you can do HDMI input if you want if you want to hook up a second device like a MacBook or a console it's just for the price i wasn't expecting this level of versatility so if you want that bigger canvas without losing mobility this is the one now the iPad currently supports one external display but there is a perfect monitor that has a stacked display now I'm not going to include it too much here in this video i just want to mention it because I've been testing it so if you have a Mac setup with this two monitor stack display you can still use the iPad with it and that really adds to the versatility of your iPad if you're using it as a secondary device so especially if you're doing things like coding or research maybe you're editing video timelines this separation and having this extra screen real estate in a mind-blowingly portable format i mean like it folds up and it fits in the same case as the other one you can take it with you technically that's just kind of crazy it's mind-blowing super quick heads up i spent a lot of time putting together a free iPad guide totally free it's linked up down below and it's just going to help you have a completely new relationship with your iPad you're going to think about your iPad completely different from your setup both the physical setup to the on-screen setup to just how you think about it and what you use it for i I mean I promise you've never thought about your iPad in this way so if it's boring to you at this point it feels like nothing new you're not really sure what to use it for you have to check out this guide it's 100% free it's linked up down below next I want to talk about the Charge M Pro Magloat stand i don't know if I'm saying that right but I do know that the stand magnetically holds your iPad and raises it to eye level that's insane if you're an iPad minimalist and you just want to sit down at the desk and look right at it without having to look down this case does that you can tilt it back and forth you can rotate it of course but it actually pairs really well with other monitors again if you're going to use it as a side component to a Mac setup or if you just want to use it straight up like you and the iPad with a keyboard and external mouse and kind of get your iPad work done keep it simple and minimal you can do that i really like that you can pair it with this U cable which is from the same company ChargeM Pro and it just makes it so much more aesthetic and clean that's because it has this 180°ree bend at the end so you don't have this big cord sticking out of your iPad it's very subtle hardly noticeable just kind of wraps along the edge of your device that's nice and this may sound like a pretty small thing like why is Chris even talking about this cable number one it pairs with the stand beautifully right so they kind of go together it's like a pair but number two cable clutter is a real thing and I don't like when I just have cords sticking out everywhere if I can hide that in any way shape or form I tend to like do so I feel like this stuff that we've talked about already supercharges what you can do with your iPad i tend to be a Magic Keyboard user especially when I'm on the go i love it just for typing anyways like love it i know some people don't but also it's just convenient right to me when I think iPad I think iPad with Magic Keyboard that said some of the stuff that I'm talking about here are things that you're going to be able to build out a different sort of keyboard setup where you're using something like this Keyron keyboard which I'll link up down below for you if you want a fuller typing experience you know it's made for Apple products and you can of course customize all the switches and everything if you like it to be a little louder or a little softer or have more feedback or less feedback and over the years I've used all kinds of mice with the iPad right ranging from the one that you see here which is from Logitech it's like the top end top end top end to something like the Pebble which is very much designed for iPads because it's so light and portable and simple but I also wanted to highlight the Cheer Dots 2 this is a very weird and weird in a interesting way unique mouse because it comes apart and it runs chat GBT so it's like an AI mouse um has a laser pointer it's just got a lot of interesting multifunctional stuff built in which is funny because I feel like it's kind of like the iPad in that regard the iPad is very multiunctional as well kind of can switch form factors and do different things and that's this mouse as well so if it appeals to you at all to be able to take this you know puck with you and use it for AI and not have a screen and also it's good for like presentations maybe recording meetings without having a distracting screen in front of you like there's so many different use cases for this and it's not just for iPads um I just wanted to highlight it because this is really unique i've never really seen anything like this before that's it for this video i hope you don't go away without checking out that iPad guide down below of course all these accessories are going to be linked up down below sometimes people are like "What model was that?" Or "I didn't hear what you said." Well it's all linked up down below but the guide is super special i spent a lot of time putting this together and uh tons of people have already gotten it um and so I just want to make sure that you haven't missed it in case you haven't gotten it yet so you can totally change up your relationship with the iPad how you think about it what it is for um get some new mental models loaded up in your brain like some new software for how you interact with the iPad sometimes it's not the iPad itself it's how you interact with it and just ideas for how you want to set it up what you want to use it for i think you're going to love it i just want to make sure you don't miss it so that is linked up down below for free i'll catch you in the next video
