They haven't cemented their fall ideas yet. And as we all know, their fall ideas, big ideas, will supersede our big ideas. Because, you know, that's what they sign off on. Now, I know that choosing super femme and feminine detailing has got to be one of their big ones. Because it's going to be everybody's big one. The elevated basics is coming straight from them. telling me and same with the artisanal so even if they're not exactly what they say i know they're going to fall into the buckets they're going to want to fill but i feel when i used to work there as well everybody would try and move too far forward and what you guys might not know about chico sweaters is the customer is usually hot blooded hot you know temperature so we always are fine gauge cotton rich lightweight very rarely do they book anything even a fashion sweater you that would be, you know, like, their 12 gauge, 9 gauge is heavy for them. So just keep that in mind. We never want to go what you and I all probably think of as like a fall presentation. That's more for holiday, where they might book something a little, you know, chunkier gauge and maybe... you know, a little more acrylic, less cotton, you know, a little fuzzy maybe or something like that, but it's a bit, they're very specific about their yarns. So Kat just wanted to remind me that we should still be thinking of summer and trans fall and not get too heavy. Don't come in with big fall presentation. So I just, in my notes, by midweek this week, I'll pass off all sweater images, big ideas to MGF, so we can share with our partners as I did with knit tops. Once again, Karen, I think, and everyone, I think I should have those due by either, I'm going to say tomorrow at the latest, really. There's no way it's going to take me until Wednesday. I should finish tonight, probably. So you'll get it tonight or tomorrow, all the images. So it'll be the big idea, runway to back it up, retail to back it up, and then some details for everybody else to play in. So my big ideas are going to remain same as the knit tops, the one that I just told you. However, there will be additions, more sweater specific. For example, there was a call out about Chanel tweed, sweater jackets are something they want to play in. And like placed sheer is something that I keep seeing a lot from runway. And once again, you guys, when I say sheer, I don't mean sexy sheer. I don't mean sheer across the bust. I mean. maybe a little side panel, maybe a little back piecing. Nothing is, you know, too suggestive from them. Nothing's very, you know, contemporary for them. I need, so what we're going to do with knit tops and how I've worked previously, I would love to see PowerPoints from everybody that's either coming or wants their stuff sent. So we can then, I don't want to get 17 boxes of sweaters that we don't use. I don't want them to pay for it or you to pay for it or however. We've really with. Plus, in fact, we really got to a very refined presentation and kind of, you know, not wasting anything. There might be a sample or two that doesn't execute or something that doesn't look up to snuff that I'll pull to the side. But in general, we're having very tight, nice presentations that they seem to be enjoying too that we're not showing them rack upon rack upon rack. So we want the most edited and impactful presentation. And when I say like a PowerPoint of those, I don't mean a discussion or anything. I literally just cross out like what I don't want and send it back, meaning we have no interest in that, you know, etc, etc. If that's okay with you guys. From Junshin and Cressman, traditionally, I would... I'm saying could they send me their proposed yarn presentations for fall? What they're doing is are they doing general yarn presentations? Are they doing general trend presentations? Like normally I would see Jin Xing in New York or Fort Myers. They would come with that. Do you guys know if they're preparing that barrel? It's no big deal if they are, but if they are, I want to see it, not just show up in Fort Myers and be like, oh, look, you know, I want to know what they're thinking. And then I'm asking, will they be there to present or will I be doing that? Will there be someone from Pressman or Genshing in Fort Myers on the July meetings? Michael, let me jump in. We checked with James and they definitely will go to Fort Myers for the July presentation to Chico's. And Paxville, we are still working with them. Okay. Is that separate or is that with me? So, press field is included in our presentation. They are not doing their own. It's the brand only exception. Yeah, so far I think it's only Jin Xing, Michael. This time around, Sourcing put in a very tight brand list. They allowed it on campus. So Jin Xing is one of them. Okay, great. I just don't want to be too late in work and stuff like that. So if Jin Xing is giving a presentation from their point of view, that'll be amazing. Kat will be thrilled with that. I would be thrilled with that. And once again, I would just love to see it. It can be that week before. It doesn't have to be now, but I just want to get eyes on it and see what they're doing. Sure. We prepare the same, too. Yes, great. I'm happy to look at anybody's anything, basically. Don't not show me anything. And then I just wanted, this week I'll be shopping for sweater ideas, a small amount to put into work due to tight timing. I already found some things online that Kat was interested in, so I want to double check with her. And she gave me a reference of two things she really liked. I know I'm not going to get a lot of sweaters on my own made for this presentation, but what I would like are some knit-downs, some techniques that I want to do. On top of, I think, you know, we're going to need support from everybody else, and I'm going to obviously do shopping in New York to bring originals as well. which Kat always likes a lot. Kat's a really competent technical sweater designer. She much more prefers me coming in with a nice knit down, a beautiful placed stripe with an embellishment on top, some kind of technique out of India. So then she takes it and likes to develop into her styles. I still want to see if you guys think it's realistic. I would still love to get like two or three original sweaters put into work. If that's not realistic, then tell me. That's totally okay. I know how tight on time. And when I say that, I'd probably try and get those scrappy packs out by, you know, I would probably shop Tuesday or Wednesday and try and get them out as soon as possible. So by Wednesday, if that seems realistic to you. And once again, I can reference yarns I have here. So at least I can give you an idea of what, you know, they're Indian, you know, yarn carts, but at least it would be like a close content. You know, I can give the gauge, I can give the stitch, I'll give all kinds of visuals. I won't expect you guys to like figure it out. Normally, Karen, I would like... you know, I would probably buy a couple sweaters and put them into work, have them sent to you. You know, I'd take a lot of images, so you'd have this running start, but then you'd really be able to, like, pick them apart. But I understand timing. This time is very tight. So do you think, Beryl, is that realistic to do three Scrappy Packs and sweaters for next month? Definitely. I might have definitely more than three. Is five that okay? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, you know, we, the team here, the alfalfa actually are very supportive. Like you talk about three, I think like three, six, eight pieces. Give me a number, Meryl. I was trying to be nice. I didn't want to get people. Yes, yes. Yes. Well, I think we can base on 10. Okay. Because, you know, we have six factories behind the scenes, right? So let's say 10. But, of course, I think the struggle would be see how complicated that is. Where do we get? Because we want it to be repeatable. So we'll get back to you on, you know, after getting the details. So we'll manage, you know, let's say 10 samples. We'll definitely do it. Thank you. That would be amazing, I think. Yeah. Are you including my knit-downs as samples in that number 10? No, knit-down is knit-downs. Thank you, Carol. So, of course, we're not expecting 100 new downloads, right? Yeah, so we'll definitely get back to you when we get your idea on how many knit-downs that we may need. As long as you feel it's necessary, we'll do our best to accomplish. Actually, in turn, if I can interrupt one thing, in turn we did have a discussion today as well. They do also plan to do knit-downs and samples ourselves, right? Because the problem is we don't have… great ideas or knowledge on what to pursue so yeah i'll be doing that for you all today thank you Right. And then just so you know, Karen and Shelley actually also work with our factories to try to have them, based on the idea you provide, that we'll ask them to share with what they have available on hand. Yes, please. So that we get a pool of images to pick and pull. Please, please, please. So where was I shopping? So I'll do that this week and I'll try and do. If you're giving me 10, I might not finish that this week, but I'll try and go as fast as I can. And then I was asking you for the timeline that you essentially just gave me. Blah, blah, blah. How many samples? Oh, does Jin Xing have a New York office? I don't remember them having one. I know Preston doesn't. Darn. Okay, and then just an FYI to you guys, Kat had also mentioned, I just said it before, like jackets, dresses, skirts. So sweater dressing in general. I'm going to be honest. They've said that every year that I worked there. They always have you pull it. I've never booked anything, but I still want to make sure we have some pieces. I pulled an amazing set that somebody on your team had done. It's like a beautiful ombre v-neck sweater with a matching skirt that I found in the office. So I actually pulled it and have it here. So I wanted to kind of trigger some stuff based off of that as well. Um. but I do want to make sure because Leslie actually mentioned, you know, Peggy, you saw that about the dresses that they want to do knit dresses, but then Kat was saying, Leslie also mentioned actual sweater dresses. So then I am asking who are my Asia sweater contacts? And I already know, I know that now. And is there someone separate for India or it's all going for you guys through Asia and then we'll figure that out. Yeah, we don't have, sorry, I have my computer, I have to move. So we don't have sweats production in India. Oh, you're not using Jiva? No. Okay. With our India office, they actually, it's a good point, actually, we did not include the sweats. I just, from a technique, artisanal standpoint. Asia's not really capable of doing the kind of embroidery that they want at Chicos. Very India-centric, very specific. Um, okay, well that's your guys'deal and your guys'choice. I think that's surprising to me. Yeah, it's actually a good point. Let us, you just throw us the idea and see if we need it, because there are some reasons behind. And, you know, small, they do fashion sweater out of it, you know, like small, or it's not like what you guys would be doing out of Asia, like a core program, or they would never get anything like that. But those techniques are very, you know, Chico-centric, Indian embellishments, very three-dimensional. they keep referencing Scarabino runway, Emanuele Scarabino, and it's very three-dimensional and like, you know, thick. Like, I have images of a sweater that somebody did beautifully in your showroom as well that's very Scarabino-influenced. So maybe I'm wrong. Maybe you guys aren't capable of doing it because I pulled something from your showroom that was really beautiful. So I might, you know, I could be wrong. Michael, sorry, sorry, we actually, you know, we mentioned briefly in the design call, like we just on board Jifa last couple of weeks. So we're going to look at like in total, like what type of products that they've been, you know, shipping out. And so then we can review with the office because we also want to make sure we have the team to support this water business. Over there, because they technically order, you know, the sample needs to be revealed, like you mentioned about cats concerned about tension. So we want to ensure like someone is there to watch everything. Like literally, we don't have anyone right now. So I want to put this as like work in progress rather than just saying no to any. No, you're not. I don't feel like you're just saying no, we're not doing it. This is all your guys choices. And once again. I'm speaking as a designer. Your ROI on using India might not even be worth it. Like, I don't know those things. So I could understand not using them because they would be a very small fashion sweater. But I just found this in your office. It's beautiful. It's kind of Scarabino. It's very lofty and three-dimensional. I was actually surprised to see it. I unfortunately just took it as a reference because I thought it was so pretty and I could use it with you guys. But I don't have the header, just had MGF is all I can see on it. So I don't know where it came from. I'm sorry to say. Oh, yes, I do. China. It just says China, MGF, South Asia Enterprises. It has a contact number. Yeah, okay, good. So China. Okay, great. So maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. Okay, so I'm going to go back to the chat. Okay. No, no worries. Actually, we will if we see something from that need in there. Actually, we did have connection, not only G4 is the factory that you named, right? But again, let me take it offline with Peggy. And if needed, if we didn't, if we're not able to source that technique in China, we'll definitely explore different opportunities. Oh, got it. Great. Good. Good to hear. But yeah, I believe a lot of things. came from Giva in the past many many years back I still have that Chico's book used to ship a lot of artisan piece to two Chico's let us explore this vendor is new to us actually so so may may need some time to study it but thank you for the recommendation yeah and to be honest Pat looks at knit tops as well her techniques and things. So just an FYI, you know what I mean? She may see something from Jeeva on a knit card or knit sample, you know, Peggy, that we do. And she might just, you know, she might be like, oh, can I do that on a sweater? Just an FYI because she's done that with me before. Pulled things from knit time. Thank you. Thank you. And also one more thing that keep, you know, Kat and I had a long, not a long talk, but we talked about the new twin set. and I was like, could we mix knit tops with sweaters? So that's another, there might be some kind of crossovers for knit tops and sweaters being at the same factory with a detail or a technique. Doesn't have to be Jeeva, but just so you know, she's kind of, they're thinking of more non-traditional twin sets. So, that's it. Anything else from me? I have a quick question, Michael. Are there any brands Chicos use to look at for inspiration? Yes, I'll take care of that with you today because I'm also going to give you some key bodies and some key people. Kat has a very, you know, Kat Peggy's talking about like the artisanal side. It's hardest to do, right? But it's always like the smallest order, the least, you know, the least margin. She's really focusing on, they have a new strategy of really beautiful basics. So they really moved away from that and they became all fashion. So she's really looking for elevated basics. Lafayette 148. theory, just think clean, but with a little something. And Che, the new head of design, loves little details. I pulled a beautiful Italian, whoever that woman was that was working with you guys that lived in Italy. I just found the best beautiful little trim that, you know, is nothing major, but it's this beautiful little trim added. They're looking for things like that. So yes, they can reference Scarabino all they want with three-dimensional embroidery. you know, double J and all these really fabulous things, but those are really small. We really have to make beautiful finishes, beautiful yards, beautiful, you know, it's, it's, it's not an even, it's not an even thing, especially the way they're talking to me. It's looking at about 60% basics now. And they're also looking for a lot bigger skew programs. They really had gotten away from that. So multiple solids, straight print, and maybe even a technique on top of that. you know, is it a foil with embroideries? It's some kind of tippy top price point. So they're really looking to get back into big programs. So yeah, but I'll give you some, I'll give you some key people who they've been talking to me about. They're obsessed with Chloe. So Chloe didn't really do any knit tops or sweaters off of that last presentation for fall last year and for resort. But they're loving all those like applied laces at the yoke, at the sleeve, at the hem. So expect a lot of feminine and a lot of really beautiful elevated basics. Those are what we should really be hitting on. Last question for me, Michael. How well you see cat abducts to seeing images, photos, inspiration ideas, besides samples, right? Knead down actual samples. How well is cat except to look at stimulations, cat works, and images? She's going to be much more receptive to anything in real life, just like any of us. You might feel something or something looks flat in a picture and then you see it. it's like your favorite stitch barrel and you're like that's so i would say it's more about reality for her um and she has much more patience too she wants to look at a lot of yarn she wants to you know rose is much more like knit tops bam bam bam i like this i like this i like this can you put that into work for me can you do this you know cat's much more methodical and you know cat's also really thoughtful so you know, it could be good for us to, you know, I think she's expecting to maybe try and, you know, they're going to have to kind of start over with all their basics. They've had these four yards that are gone now, you know, so. I think it's going to be a building block for M.G.F. to start working with sweaters for her. So, you know, the more excitement we can give her, the better, you know. So I think that she has she said Cressman seems very niche and that, you know, Jen Ching will be what, you know, she's always like Jen Ching. So I'm not worried. She can make comments about tension and stuff. She knows they're good. She knows they're reputable. So I think we'll be good. Great, great. Thank you, Michael. Thank you for your time. Thank you guys for staying up late. I'm so sorry. No problem, too. Bye. Thank you, Michael. Be in touch with everybody. I'll give you a little breakdown of what Kat said, and Karen, I'll give you all the visuals. Yeah. Thank you. Thanks a lot. Bye-bye. Have a good night. Bye.
