Plot Summary

1. Old Woman's Hard Work:

   • Prepares to harvest vegetables and fruits for the market.
   • Asks Darmi to help, but Darmi declines, citing weakness.

2. Disappointment:

   • Old woman returns exhausted and finds no food prepared by Darmi.
   • Darmi cites reasons for not cooking (hair washing, desire for jewelry).

3. Market Trip:

   • The next day, Darmi goes shopping with her mother.
   • Darmi is embarrassed by her mother and walks ahead, ignoring her in public.

4. Conflict:

   • Darmi refuses to acknowledge her mother when meeting friends.
   • At the market, Darmi wants an expensive necklace; her mother advises against it.
   • Darmi lashes out, expressing shame and anger towards her mother.

5. Mother's Prayer:

   • The old woman prays for Darmi to learn a lesson.
   • A storm ensues, and Darmi becomes unable to move.

6. Transformation into Stone:

   • Darmi turns into a crying stone.
