hello i'm bioscar1313 and today i'm trying to make poaching and final fantasy tactics as painless to understand as possible so you can get access to the poachers then in chapter two and if you go in without certain requirements he'll say i've not to sell to the likes of you well that's easy to bypass but kind of annoying too because it can happen throughout the game as long as you don't have your characters set up as soon as say so there's a job skill in the game and it's orator so you're going to want to have a mystic level 3 equipped and you want access to orator if you're an orator you got this ability beast tongue while you're that job class and that's going to help a lot the first ability that you really need and the only real ability that you need is entice which persuades a foe to be an ally the next thing you got to look out for is beast tongue which that's you use speech speechcraft against monsters even if not in orator so usually you just want the orator because it has the bonus ability beast tongue if you don't have that then your setup would have to be any job class you want with speech craft and then beast tom and then you'll be able to recruit monsters as you can see i've already recruited some of my monsters but like i said if you go that route you're still going to need somebody with poach so an orator is the best bet but having an equip somebody equip a coach will let you straight into the poacher's den as you can see it is so nice to know that you can sell something for 200 gil to go to buy and be able to buy it for 200 gil that saves this this guy's his own personal inventory telling you he really is you can always buy back at the same price that you sold it for so now we've learned a little bit of how to capture monster it's time to look at what monsters are good and which ones are not all right so the monsters that you want to bypass completely and not even try and entice them into your party is the goblin class the the panther class the bombs the skeletons the pisco demons otherwise known as the mine flares the ghouls the birds and that about does it every other monster has three types of monsters they can be tier one tier two or tier three and each monster is different because they have two different items that they can have they can have the common item or the rare item so be prepared to use rng manipulation a lot when it comes down to it so once you've captured a monster you can go to two blue dots on the screen um i know these two areas are open quite early in the game so you want to walk back and forth on those while your monsters hatch and then we're going to go ahead and start doing that um but the chocobo family the red sugar bows can turn into barrettes which aren't too bad of accessory they're female only as a lot of equipment is but they're right here hp plus 20 and immune to a lot of nasty negative statistics red chocobo okay um another monster that you would absolutely want to get into right now is the floating eye but back to more information about monsters so tier ones have a eighty percent chance of hatching another tier one and i think a 20 chance of hatching a tier two so and a zero percent chance of hatching a tier three so yellow chocobo can never hatch a red chocobo only black and red chocobos can hatch and black chocobos are easy or more profitable than ever to hatch a red sugar bow a tier two takes 25 percent to either be another tier two or a tier three and a red choker bow has a good chance of hatching everything but it only has the 10 chance to hatch another red trigger bow 10 is 1 out of 10 so however you roll your dice that's how you go i always keep tier 2 of the animals that way i have the best chance of getting tier 3 and when we get to tier that's usually where you want to poach them i got an egg incubating right now so i was talking about floating eye and most of them are not that great the only ones that are worthwhile is to tier three and they have this will straight blade which actually i have only right now i used ninjas to have them throw these these swords at me here's his little say straight blade attack 10 block uh can i read that right attack 12 block 10 and effect sleep so they're pretty good for daggers the next monster you would look out for is the um whisker kin minotaur and secret you probably want to um recruit one of them i got the minotaur which is the tier two he really doesn't turn into anything that great but the tier three can turn into a holy lance or an ivory pole which i haven't gotten an ivory pole yet but i have gotten the holy lance it has an attack power of 14 a block of 10 it's elemental and it has a spell effect of holy it's not that bad the ivory pole i don't have yet so i don't know if it's all that great next thing we got to look out for is i think malboro's now malboro and achoo choose the one you want to keep always they have the highest chance of dropping a greater marlboros with the ones you want to keep but marlboros and ocho's really aren't needed to poach and greater marlborough is is better to poach um their most common poach is an elixir and amilex is their rare poach the tree family i don't have but i'm sure that they're pretty easy to get a hold of i know that they hide out in somewhere around this section but the tree ants usually turn into a gold staff when poached and a fairy harp when they rarely get poached or when you post a lot of them elder tree most of the time is a predetect ring and this is really cool i didn't know this back when i was on the psx and it was just a whole different thing but i believe there's a weapon called the defender which is a really really cool knight sword but most of the time you get a protect ring from the elder tread now the green dragon not worth having the blue dragon sometimes it's a dragon rod which is what you aim for as they're rare but the most common is cashmere which i believe is just a cloth or something i don't even remember what it is but a red dragon is um good to have let's go look at that item here's the dragon rod i can find it attack power 5 block 20. um right now on red dragons tutelage versus ledge it's protecting the shelf all the time and only females can equip it now red dragons also have a really good chance at turning into dragon whiskers which might be it's not a dragon whisker here's the dragon whisker the best lances in the game and his attack power 17 a block of 10 and yeah it's pretty good lance i was unaware of how to obtain one before i realized most of this stuff is exclusive to poaching um the behemoths are not that great you can throw away the behemoths once you have the behemoth king and the behemoth king can turn into see if i can find it on this list i don't even remember it um it's not really that great of an item but the artemis bow is they're rare so behemoth kings can sometimes drop these 10 attack power 10 a range five and yeah the dark behemoth have a small chance to drop a stone shooter which is a patagonic power 16 and a block of five but most of the time they drop wizards rod so um back to monsters that i actually have we have the hydra family and they're nice to have because the regular hydras can turn in to a blood sword sorry if i miss describing that but yeah you turn them into stuff the blood sword is nice because it drains your eight the hp dealt um from damaging them then the scorpion tell which i don't have yet but the greater behemoths can turn into these um septum may or something which is constant haste and invisibility well the i think the invisible wears off but it's females only they can also sometimes this is greater hydra drop rubber suits which h hp plus 150 and mp plus 30 and it's worn by everything but knight dragoon and samurai which those classes get their pretty powerful equipment too so rubber suits is definitely worthwhile the tire mat can turn into the silk right here warm weave silk attack power 15 block 50 can be used by a dancer or it can have the weld whisker which is attack power 16 and a block of 20 and used for mystic as well as some monsters that would um quite or not monsters but uh some characters that will actually use that well whisker stuff like rafa and maroc they like that type of stuff a another family the pig family i went through this in another video but they can turn into a regular pig turn into a maiden's kiss most commonly or rarely they can turn into one of these and you should probably see him in a story mode but it means you do a lot of like really powerful negative status effects um the swine is the level two and the most convenient to make so chantage or chantage constant reason and constant re-raise is awesome the niagara rock is the rare from the swine and it's the attack power one so it's a really bad weapon but block of 50 and it turns people into a toad um the boars can turn into a ribbon which you guessed it neglects you of every negative status effect but also the wild boars can turn into a falling star bag which is really nice so what monsters should you get uh this besides the ones that i have you'd probably want a tree maybe a marlboro and maybe um a behemoth that's about it i don't think i would want any of the other monsters so let's go over how you would [Music] um create them so you see that there is an egg incubating so when i take a couple steps or maybe just one yeah i have an egg now when you have two blue dots right next to each other you don't have to go through battles but you literally want to walk in between two blue dots until you went through a month's worth of time or every 15 days or something 15 16 days somewhere around there and you just keep on doing that and you'll understand here in a minute what i'm doing oops okay so party i got a red dragon like i said level ones once you have their level two just get rid of them they're not good i got a red dragon and a wild boar it's just two enemies that i want to have so i'm gonna get 15 more days or more power you until areas is done [Music] and that's it now i should also have actually they didn't do anything wow you can have in war the playstation 1 and super nintendo i think they gave 16 slots which there is i think 13 standard characters with squire being different than squire and there's just room enough to have your main party like every collectible character in the game because you can always just go to a tavern and recruited person but you have to level them up and everything like that so it's kind of a [Music] pain but yeah she's just gonna have to walk back and forth and it's kind of torture because after you've done collected one you got to go through all this of course it was a green dragon and that was it two green dragons [Music] yep look like i'm getting too lucky gemini has 32 days in so i'll stop at 16 see what i got nothing evidently my monsters aren't breeding is alternatively like you got to be patient once you have two or three monsters that you want to punch you're gonna have to manually poach them which is the next big step in the game see there's two new enemies so i have a wild war i would like to approach it i got two wild boars and a red dragon so getting the battle i think yeah she's got poach that's good so now you want to take all of the monsters that you wanted to approach i can collect them all right dragon go ahead and put you over here [Music] oh yeah here we go now since agrius has poach on every time she kills a enemy it's going to count as a post you will see this is the demonstration battle it's against minotaur type enemies so there is a list of enemies that you can go to but you should be really familiar with the game for a lot of it uh so it says poach and it does a little victory this thing that's nice i have to weaken this guy up a little bit because i do want to push him [Music] because he can sometimes [Music] turn it into a ivory pole it's really it's like i bring in four monsters to poach instead of three oh i totally misread that this will work hmm [Music] now this is an interesting fact if you saved before you went to poach these enemies you can reload your file and it will be different every time meaning if i don't got the enemy the items that i won into this battle i could reload my safe without having to travel and collect four more um more poaches it's it's kind of complicated but just because the enemy doesn't turn into what you want to right now doesn't mean it won't turn into it like at any other given time i don't know exactly when poach takes effect i don't know if it's like at the beginning of a battle or random during a battle but it seems like i say before battle and then i push the enemies and then i check the poachers then to see if i got what i wanted if i didn't i load back up and poach them until i got something good but then the most part i'm sitting there let me actually go after this guy the red dragon could use it yes because it's just worth it in the end [Music] but you want to be strong enough to where you can try and if you can't bring three monsters into the fight trying to bring at least one or two or at least one all right what kind of damage can i do with that in the fight [Music] do again i could entice enemies if i wanted to have them join i said don't invite the bombs and the skeletons this is exactly why this is the exact example these bombs and this skeleton not worth poaching i could potion when i wanted to i just don't want to [Music] and now i have full permission to kill everything in my way and if i lightning smash [Music] and that's pushing 101 for you now that you have poached monsters you can go back and check the inventory and i'll be surprised if i have a holy you know uh ivory pole but there's a chance that i will so let's see my luck before we go no i didn't really get much of anything what did they get um the pigs so [Music] i didn't get another falling star i got something else anyways wasn't worth it i don't think but it's all up to you these are all the rare items you can get through poaching coral swords aren't that rare but other weapons are so keep in
