hey what's up guys and welcome back to IGCSE success your One-Stop shop for everything first language English so I've been listening to your feedback and it's pretty crystal clear you are almost definitely hungry for a comprehensive walkthr of paper 2 focusing specifically on that very tricky directed writing question am I right well consider me the teacher who keeps on giving because today's last minute video is all about breaking down that very very challenging in my opinion most difficult question from paper one paper two it's all about the dired writing question and how to tackle it successfully but before we dive in sorry you're probably thinking this there there's always a butt there's always a butt I just wanted to preface this video by acknowledging that there are a number of strategies methods techniques to approaching this question and I'm not saying my Approach is the right approach but it works in fact there are some brilliant YouTubers who have given their own insights uh portly um Miss Duckworth's classroom scoffield Shakespeare to name a few if you don't know their channels I'm sure you do check them out they all have content on paper to the directed writing and composition paper however what you are about to see is my tried and tested approach which I've honed over the many years I've been teaching I've lost count how many years now trust me it works like a charm and make showcasing those important evaluative skills seem like a walk in the park and with all that said and done let's get on with today's very very last minute krammers edition of directed writing let's go okay so let's get started paper 2 directed writing and composition this video is going to focus specifically on the directed writing question gosh the composition The Narrative descriptive writing piece that's a whole another video which I really don't have time for so sorry about that but I do have some great narrative and descriptive writing videos on my channel already however I've neglected paper- 2 directed writing uh for some time simply because my own student so we did course work for a long time so I'm teaching paper one and paper two now anyway let's get on with the video I am going to be looking at the February March 2023 paper it's all about fast fashion I will link all of the resources in the description box below if you've got time I recommend doing this paper with me it's the 0500 sl22 paper let's go so first of all let's look at the or sort of revisit hopefully the nuts and bols the boring information but the important information and hopefully information that you know already so here are the basics I guess so of course the paper is called directed writing and composition the composition pertaining to the creative writing the second question that you have to tackle it's a 2-hour paper it's equally weighted so you should be writing roughly the same amount if that's two pages for directed writing you should write two pages for the narrative or the descriptive piece now it's 15 marks for reading and 20 five marks for writing so it's uh predominantly a writing task but there's still a huge amount of marks for reading and of course the key difference between this question and question three from paper one is that you are not being assessed on your ability to make inferences and to develop and make inferences based on the explicit ideas you have identified the core skill is being able to look at a range of explicit ideas and evaluate and hopefully we all know what it means to evaluate but don't worry I will recap what it means there are three prescribed text types that you need to know and they are also text types for question three paper ones they shouldn't be new to you speech letter and article you want to spend one hour on each section as mentioned you usually get two nonfiction texts I believe it used to be one but all of the recent past papers they Ed two non-fiction text are typically short in length often you'll find opposing arguments in each that gives you enough meat on the bone to really um explore the arguments being presented have an or form an opinion on them and begin to evaluate some of them now the advice that I give to my students is to select three explicit ideas from each so that's six in total and to evaluate some of these or most of these or if you're a quick writer all of these ideas other teachers uh may approach this slightly differently and that's absolutely fine as mentioned at the beginning of my video now number 10 address bullet point two in your final paragraph Take the word count with a pinch of salt I implore my students to go over the word count with this question there's so much to it so if you write 300 400 500 600 providing it's focused you won't be self- penalizing and that's the term that Cambridge likes to use okay the the important thing is that you spend one hour on this section if that means writing two pages three pages four pages that is absolutely fine and number 12 similarly to question three from paper one you have to reword where appropriate once you have identified relevant explicit idea is pertaining to the question now just to whiz through the notes on the right hand side I've I've kind of touched upon this already but there are lots of different approaches to this question I advise my students not to include too many explicit ideas as it gives you more time to evaluate and that really for me is what differentiates those students who get those top marks from those sort of midband marks now of course you need to know the typical features of the three prescribed text types and that's mentioned they are speech article or letter they shouldn't be new to you um there is a significant amount of marks allocated to writing it is a writing task so really consider your language your stylistic features any structural elements the type of sentences the punctuation everything in your writer's tool box if you are wanting to get as many writing marks as possible and take note of course and I will uh talk more about this a little bit later on take note of the audience take note of the purpose because depending on the audience that will have a massive influence on the style the register the tone that you employ throughout your piece now I'm sure you are all familiar with the acronym that I love to use a right Forest let's just whis through them for the h hundredth time I do have a video on each right Forest technique just sort of search in YouTube you'll find it we've got literation repetition imperative personal pronouns emotive language facts opinions rhetorical questions exaggerations statistics and triplets do try and shoehorn in some of these into your response to create a sense of voice and to give it an engaging tone and style obviously not all persuasive techniques are going to be suitable for all text types or all tasks rather uh it depends if you get a more informal task or um an informal task so just bear that in mind everything comes down to audience and purpose really of course this is not an exhaustive list there are other techniques that you could use sarcasm humor hypor the list is endless needless to say whatever task you get is really important that you are confident using and employing a range of discourse markers and they're particularly useful when looking at and evaluating different sides of the of an argument contrasting discourse markers are particularly useful whereas instead of alternatively otherwise unlike on the other hand conversely Etc now let's take a look at the structure that I advise my students to use and again there is flexibility here so don't freak out if you watch this and think oh my God my teachers taught me wrong um there are a number of ways to approach this uh question so I advise my students to write five paragraphs so we got a short introduction to establish a sense of purpose to establish a sense of audience to get those writing marks in straight away make it really engaging hook the audience paragraph 2 focuses on the ideas from text a so you look at three explicit ideas you evaluate you look at the pros and the cons you come up with a solution Etc paragraph 3 text B three ideas you follow that for at paragraph four is specifically addressing bullet point 2 so giving your ideas and considering everything that you have read from both text a and text B and making reference to the key words in bullet point 2 now paragraph five is just a short closing if it was a speech of course it would be polite to thank your audience and uh maybe present them with one more thought-provoking question so what does it mean to evaluate ideas I'm just going to read this off the screen hopefully there's no ambiguity here so when evaluating an idea we examine its positives and negatives or its pros and cons we consider any drawbacks we aren't afraid to probe deeper and go against the grain and challenge a writer's ideas it's really about comprehending slash understanding their ideas and formulating our own conclusions based on their merits and our own ideas what you don't want to do is disagree with absolutely everything these are the problems 1 2 3 four and five and come up with no Solutions if you disagree why how can said disagreement be resolved what's your solution and again on the right hand side there's no need to evaluate every idea but it is a core scale the more you evaluate the higher Your Mark is going to be if done well so let's just have a look at that core scale evaluation in a bit more detail hopefully you'll get what it's meant by evaluating an idea after this little exercise so let's take this statement okay homework puts unnecessary stress on students and doesn't always improve learning outcomes H controversial so on the left side we agree with the statement on the right side we disagree so so we agree because workload can be overwhelming for students the deadlines can be tight obviously there can be a lack of teacher support when you are asked to do task at home your family's not always there to help you and sometimes they don't know how to support you um we disagree with the statement because stress can prepare you for the wider World homework can help you consolidate your learning and perhaps it improves your time management skills so linking to that first idea preparing you for the wider world and the world of work so what's your conclusion we've looked at the positives the negative the pros and the cons what's your conclusion what's your solution how do we how do we please this person which such forthright views on homework well let's take a look at a model paragraph So on the left hand side we've got the explicit idea reworded got a positive we've got a negative and in the green we are drawing our own conclusions based on everything and we are offering a solution okay this is the process that you guys need to go through and once I show you the model at the end um you'll see that I've colorcoded it in a similar way let's take a read some people argue that homework imposes a heavy burden on students subjecting them to undue stress and worry whilst yielding minimal rewards in terms of learning outcomes it's undoubtedly a contentious issue one with which I feel strongly about although homework can indeed serve to reinforce learning for some students and to some extent equip them with transferable skills for life outside the classroom there's no denying that it often adds unnecessary stress tight deadlines and lofty expectations regarding the volume of homework assigned only exacerbate this pressure so what can we do about it finding the right balance between students having to navigate the many hurdles thrown their way as young people and meeting academic expectations beyond the classroom is crucial and that is how we evaluate successfully it's all about balance so now let's take a look at the question that we will be tackling today so question one write a speech for your year group explaining whether or not you think young people should change their attitudes to Fashion in your speech you should evaluate the ideas sorry evaluate the attitudes and ideas in both texts give your views based on what you have read on the effects of change in attitudes to Fashion might have on young people the fashion business and the environment base your speech on what you have read in both texts but be careful to use your own words address both of the bullet points WR about 250 to 350 words I don't think that's enough but who am I to say I've Not created the paper 15 marks were available for the content of your answer and up to 25 marks 25 marks for the quality of your writing and on the right hand side another acronym that I use tap identify the text type it shouldn't be too hard it's inold write a speech identify the audience and think about the purpose the audience is your year group in this particular question so think about your style think about your language it need shaping for whatever audience you are given again given the audience are your year group you would expect the tone to be quite lighthearted and I completely forgot what I was saying because my laptop run out of battery so I do apologize anyway let's get on with the rest of the video so the text okay let's read text a together the first non-fiction text so text a is titled the Paradox of fast fashion and the young if the last few years has taught us anything about Generation Z those born after 1996 it's that they are environmentally aware protesting the state of the earth they are set to inherit is part of their routine H and yet when it comes to one of the most polluting Industries on Earth Generation Z presents something of a paradox their coming of age has coincided with the height of social media and the Advent of ultra fast fashion brands that Target young people online with enticing discounts and influencer Partnerships the tone was completely wrong there I do apolog environmentally engaged but seduced by what's new and now young people face a dilemma Lauren Bravo is an author who tackles the effects of our shopping addiction she understands why fast fashion is attractive to young people the cost of living has rocketed over recent years it's hardly surprising that today's teens and 20 something are buying cheap clothes a small pickme up she says when expensive holiday H and Home Ownership are off the agenda what do you do you buy a cheap garment slow fashion Advocate Caroline Jones attracted press coverage when she committed to wearing only recycled outfits from secondhand clothes shops for a year she has two teenage children and can relate to that youthful frenzy of discovering new trends for the first time and developing your own style for me in my 50s I've seen all these Trends before she says but when you're young everything shiny new and exciting you see on social media that these influencers are styling up in the brands of affordable clothing clothes being promoted her daughter sometimes swaps clothes with her friends but with a staggeringly low cost of clothes from some Outlet she could purchase a new outfit for every event yet according to experts simply doubling the length of time we keep our clothes would cut carbon emissions by 44% guys wow so as you are reading what you want to try and do is think about the main ideas or arguments presented so these are some of the central idea some things that should have popped into your brain as you were reading so number one young people especially gen ZZ are more aware than ever of the social and environmental impacts of fast fashion number two fast fashion offers an affordable option for acquiring trendy clothing at a low cost number three social media particularly influencers play a significant role in enticing young people to indulge in fast fashion purchases and number four fast fashion leaves a substantial carbon footprint on the environment once you've had a thought of the arguments presented or the ideas presented then it's time to identify and highlight on your insert three to four explicit ideas I would go with three guys now number one if the last few years have taught us anything about Generation Z it's that they are environmentally aware number two staggering low costs of clothes number three Ultra fast fashion brands that Target young people online with enticing discounts and influencer Partnerships and number four of course the most polluting Industries on Earth are fast fashion companies um these are the quotations of some of them that I would highlight from text a to use in my response ready to be evaluated now let's take a quick read of text B the second text so text B no title but we've got a bit of context at the top in italics the following passage is taken from an interview with a young student of fashion design for a fashion magazine let's take a read interviewer Georgio you're about to study for a degree in fashion design so I imagine fashion is an essential part of your life of course I think most young people look to develop their style their own identity and use clothes and fashion to express themselves we're not all obsessed with being on trend for young professionals like me the prospect of a lifetime of drab suits a strict uniform or appropriate work attire is depressing many young people spend years encased in ugly school uniforms and can't wait to experiment with a range of different looks fashion is an inexpensive way is it really maybe fast fashion uh to lift your mood at a time when young people face many challenges interviewer the way that particular Brands dominate the teenage Market seems to suggest there's not much experimenting going on I've read that an outfit worn more than three times is considered old Georgio responds with not everyone has the confidence to use clothes in a unique way young people also use fashion to identify by themselves as part of a group with its own look but it's easy for order the people to criticize you found a style that suits your lifestyle your body and your image but that takes time social media advertising and so-called influencers who promote certain brands can make choices more confusing for young people but we're not mere followers we're aware of the effects of our choices on the environment and on people who produce our clothes while older people can afford to limit their wardrobe to those expensive classic items Young young people are already doing their fair share or saving the planet in other ways interesting it's a relatively short phase in their lives when fashion provides a much needed creative Outlook the interview responds with so what are your plans when you qualify as a fashion designer the fashion industry can certainly do better for the environment and its young clientele the Vintage fashion Market is burgeoning which shows there's an appetite for more sustainable fashion that isn't being met by companies producing cheap de synthetic clothes but we must accept that young people aren't ready at 16 or 18 to buy only those items they'll still be wearing at 28 or 30 expecting them to do that would deny them an important right of passage that their parents generation had some very interesting arguments or ideas presented in this text so what are the main ideas or arguments presented in texp well first of all fashion seems to empower young people to express their creativity and individuality not all young people follow fashion trends many Forge their own style paths thirdly fashionable clothing can uplift our moods and boost confidence and last of all young people engage in various actions to make a difference for the planet and three things I would definitely highlight are young people look to develop their own style their own identity and use clothes and fashion to express themselves we're not all obsessed with being on Trend fashion is an inexpensive way to lift your mood at a time when young people face many challenges and lastly young people are already doing their fair share of saving the planet in other ways so lots of things to get our teeth stuck into and to really evaluate looking at the pros and the cons and coming up with our own conclusions our own Solutions so let's take a look at how to evaluate the ideas I have highlighted this is probably the most important part of the video so if you're falling asleep get a beverage of your choice I'm not going to say coffee I'm currently drinking coffee right now I'm pretty tired I can only guess you guys are pretty tired as well but hang in there right let's go so we're going to start by looking at Tex A's explicit ideas so I've chosen three and I've colorcoded them so the blue is the sort of positive the red the negative and the pink pink purple is the solution all three of these things form your evaluation the writing in the blue on the left underneath the explicit quote that is the original explicit idea reworded and I've done this process for each each of the explicit ideas obviously you won't have time to create a table but I do encourage you to make quick annotations so the first explicit idea just to go over it again is the idea that Ultra fast fashion brands that Target young people online with enticing discounts and influencer Partnerships are a big problem I've reworded it so it reads fashion Empires rolling the fast fashion scene Target all of us with killer discounts and influencer collabs I totally get it so it's in the style of a speech and it's fit for the audience your year group in term terms of the positives well Ultra fast fashion brands offer trendy clothing online that's a plus it gives young people easy access to a wide range of styles that's a plus and irrespective of where you live you get these clothes delivered pretty quickly in terms of the negative they significantly contribute to environmental degreg in terms of the solution or my own conclusion I think tighter regulations are needed to protect consumers particularly young people from deceptive influen and marketing tactics and trust me they use a lot of tactics guys now our second explicit idea from Tex day is that gen Z I was going to say us young folk I'm not jenz guys jenz are environmentally aware I've reworded this uh in the style of a speech we're not as clueless as those big fashion corporations raking in billions every year would have us believe you all know the deal buying into fast fashion reats Havoc socially and environmentally in terms of the positives while jz's environmental Consciousness is a positive aspect they're starting to make uh more informed decisions negative gen C is unfortunately still susceptible to manipulative marketing tactics used by fast fashion brands the solution well Empower genz consumers with information and resources to make more informed purchasing decisions SL support secondhand and vintage clothing shops make them call again or continue to make them call the last explicit idea from text day is the fact that the cost of living has rocketed over recent years it's hardly surprising that today's teens and 20s somethings are buying cheap clothes I've rewarded it so it reads living cost continue to Skyrocket it's no wonder teens and 20s somethings want to snag a few cheap threads living cost continue to Skyrocket it's no wonder teens and 20s somethings want to snag a few cheap threads so suitable for my given audience in terms of the positives well cheap clothes enable affordable fashion trend adoption that's a plus negative cheap clothing fuels a disposable culture discouraging repair or reuse and that's kind of like the the ethos behind slow fashion right the solution promote slow fashion quality over quantity repair and maintenance Timeless Styles over Trends things that you can wear for a long time until they are absolutely unwearable and we're talking about 20 plus holes in them I don't know now let's take a look at the three explicit ideas from text B that I've selected so the first one is uh I think most young people look to develop their own style their own identity and use clothes and fashion to express themselves I've reworded it as many young people aim to cultivate their unique style identity using clothing and fashion as vehicles for self-expression again we've got the positive in green red negative and the pink solution these form part of my evaluation so the positive young people today possess the confidence to craft their own identities and embrace their authenticity gosh it was very different when I was in high school that's for sure negative there are other ways to express oneself such as through Arts Sports and reading and so on one might argue that focusing just on your outwards appearance what clothes you wear is a little shallow Oh and apologies for the last evaluative comment being in purple uh education is crucial expressing yourself through clothing is perfectly fine however it's important to consider the ethics behind your choices explicit ey did two fashion is an inexpensive way to lift your mood fashion well it's like a budget friendly mood booster right so I've reworded it there in the style of a an engaging speech for students positive it's tough being a youngster and navigating this ever changing world if clothes make you feel better why not embrace it the negative oversimplify mental health complexities and imply material possessions alone result emotional issues the solution will explore other activities or practices that contribute to overall well-being such as exercise mindfulness or Hobbies the last explicit idea I'm looking at from textb is the idea that we're not all obsessed with being on Trend and I've reworded it as not everyone's all about chasing the latest trends some people like individuality positive individuality and authenticity are becoming increasingly more important negative young people resort to fast fashion chains due to the influence of others often succumb into the bandwagon effect now the bandwagon effect is you probably heard the Iden jump on the bandwagon if lots of people are doing it you feel left out so you you follow suit and you do whatever they're doing maybe they've got a trendy new haircut you're like oh I like that oh she's doing it he's doing it I need to be a part of it um it's it's all part of high school and the many fun things that young people have to navigate um the solution promote a culture of respect and appreciation for individual choices now it is important that you think about your introduction and you really want to hook the audience straight away now you won't necessarily get reading marks but you'll certainly get writing marks so think about your right Forest techniques make sure you show awareness of purpose and audience straight away so let's have a look at a model opening good morning my esteemed year 11 cohort boys don't you all look quite dapper today and girls don't you all look utterly wonderful truly I mean this now you're probably wondering why I'm sporting this rather fine polka dot suit some may see it as a little eccentric whilst Others May appreciate its style for me it's a part of my identity fashion holds significant meaning for me years ago however I didn't pay much heed to where my clothes came from fast forward to the present I'm more ethically minded carefully considering where I purchase my clothes and their Origins so if you haven't guessed it already I'm here to address the growing epidemic of fast fashion and the number of issues I personally have with it so just to Echo what I've said throughout this video keep it engaging chatty employer range of a right for as techniques but it all depends on your audience and purpose now I'm going to read the main body paragraph and then I'm going to show you another document and I've colorcoded it and I've made some notes but let's read the main body paragraph without any annotations without any color coding first of all so again three explicit ideas reworded positives negatives and solutions both of these things form your evaluation let's first dive into a discussion about the unscrupulous fashion Empires dominating fast fashion targeting us with irresistible discounts and influenc of collaborations I get it I'm constantly scrolling through Tik Tok falling for anything they promote the appeal is undeniable trendy clothing every style imaginable delivered quicker than a winter cold however many of these Brands contribute to environmental degradation the solution tighter regulations or a governing body to curb deceptive marketing yet we're not Clueless we know fashion social and environmental impact we strive for informed choices but still fall for influence and marketing so what can we do about it well research is key we should know where our clothes come from and let's not forget we all need to continue making secondhand vintage the cool thing to do however living cost continue to Skyrocket driving many to fast fashion it's the affordable option but it perpetuates a disposable culture adding to land F ways we must promote slow fashion prioritizing quality over quantity and wearing clothes until they're unwearable to some degree mainbody text be again three explicit ideas reworded positives and negatives and solutions now I want to shift the talk slightly to discuss the importance of fashion now many young individuals strive to develop their distinct style and identity utilizing clothing as a means of self-expression this this empowerment to be authentically oneself is truly admirable while some argue for alternative modes of expression like art or Sports it's essential to recognize that fashion holds its own value however it's crucial to educate ourselves on the ethical implications of our fashion choices fashion can indeed be transformative acting as a budget friendly mood enhancer yet it's vital not to solely rely on clothing for emotional well-being mental health remains a huge concern if excessive shopping becomes problematic it's important to engage in different activities such as exercise or mindfulness contrary to stereotypes we aren't solely fixated on Trends we cherish individuality and uniqueness despite this many of us still gravitate towards far fashioned chains often influenced by societal pressures let's collaborate to foster a culture that respects and celebrates diverse choices now who's with me now remember if you were paying attention to my suggested structure your last paragraph explicitly addresses bullet point 2 ensuring you include the keyword somewhere pepper them in and of course your final couple of lines is really to thank the audience and as mentioned earlier in the video you might provide a thought-provoking rhetorical question end with some humor it's up to you let's take a read so I think it's about time we wrap things up if there's one shiny takeaway I want you to pock today it's this it's more important than ever to consciously consider the ethical social and environmental issues surrounding the production of our clothes I completely get it life seems to be getting tougher we've got school to navigate prices for everything are going through the roof we want to look our best because looking good makes us feel good right we can be stylish we can be quirky in fact we can be whoever we want to be fashion is becoming increasingly important for us youngsters and me included but before you click on the next heavily curated influencer ad or video selling your favorite garment spare a thought for where it might have been produced or who might have produced it and consider their struggles compared to ours these big fashion corporations certainly need to do their bit for the environment too guys you've been great thanks for listening to me and not ripping me apart too much for my polka dot suit remember we set the trends and and we have the power so let's read it once more I've colorcoded it and I've added some notes this document hopefully will make it a little bit clearer now at the top you'll see a bank of persuasive techniques they're not necessarily limited to the acronym that I use a ripe Forest techniques I haven't highlighted all of these but they are peppered through out now the important thing is the key at the top now in the red you'll hopefully notice the explicit ideas have been rewarded green is positive orange is negative and blue is the solution again all three of these form part of your evaluation you do not need to evaluate every single idea you might be in complete disagreement with something you might be in complete agreement with something that's absolutely fine but you do want some sort of balance running throughout your response let's take one more read and let's read the notes that I've added at the bottom of each paragraph good morning my esteemed year 11 cohort boys don't you all look quite dapper today and girls don't you all look utterly wonderful truly I mean this now you're probably wondering why I'm sporting this rather fine polka dot suit some may see it as a little eccentric whilst Others May appreciate it style for me it's a part of my identity fashion Hold sign ific meaning for me years ago I didn't pay much heed to where my clothes came from fast forward to the present I'm more ethically minded carefully considering where I purchased my clothes and their Origins so if you haven't guessed it already I'm here to address the growing epidemic of fast fashion and the number of issues I personally have with it now in terms of why that is a successful opening while the speaker directly addresses the audience complimenting their appearance human is injected with a comment about the speaker's polka dot suit it humanizes the speaker there's a smooth transition to the topic of fast fashion with a personal anecdote anecdotes probably one of my favorite techniques to use in speech writing there's a clear statement of the speech's purpose addressing issues with fast fashion and of course a range of a right Forest techniques pepper throughout so again in the red we've got our explicit idea reworded let's first dive into a discussion about the unscrupulous fashion Empires dominating fast fashion targeting us with irresistible discounts and influenc of collaborations I get it I'm constantly scrolling through Tik Tok falling for anything they promote the appeal is undeniable trendy clothing and every style imaginable delivered quicker than a winter cold however many of these Brands contribute to environmental degradation the solution tighter regul a ations or a governing body to curb deceptive marketing yet we are not clueless we know fashion social and environmental impact we strive for inform choices but still fall for influencer marketing so what can we do about it well research is key we should know where our clothes come from and let's not forget we all need to continue making secondhand vintage cool again or continue to make it cool however living cost continue to Skyrocket driving many to fast fashion it's the affordable option but it perpetuates a disposable culture adding to landfill waste we must promote slow fashion prioritizing quality over quantity and wearing clothes until they are unwearable to some degree okay so it's colorcoded there just study the key at the top and try and understand the sort of structure or approach I am going with guys you cannot go wrong with this structure look at the positives look at the negative and come up with Solutions okay they form your evaluation and that is the key to successful evaluation a balanced argument now in terms of what makes that a strong mainbody paragraph well the provocative opening grabs attention it's focused on the topic fast fashion and its impacts there's relatable personal anecdotes there's a clear structure issues and proposed Solutions there's a strong call to action promoting sustainable Alterna atives and of course there's a range of right Forest techniques pepper throughout now let's take a read of the second main body paragraph again now I want to shift the talk slightly to discuss the importance of fashion first explicit idea coming up many young individuals strive to develop their distinct style and identity utilizing clothes as a means of self-expression this empowerment so positive to be authentically oneself is truly admirable while some argue for alternative modes of expression like art or Sports it's essential to recognize that fashion holds its own value however it's crucial to educate ourselves on the ethical implications of our fashion choices fashion can indeed be transformative acting as a budget friendly mood enhancer explicit idea to and let's face it it's tough being a youngster these days so why not turn to Fashion as a pikme up yet it's vital not to solely rely on clothing for emotional well-being mental health remains a huge concern if excessive shop shopping becomes problematic it's important to engage in different activities such as exercise or mindfulness contrary to stereotypes we aren't solely fixated on Trends our last explicit idea we cherish individuality and uniqueness despite this many of us still gravitate towards fast fashioned chains often influenced by societal pressures now let's collaborate to foster a culture that respects and celebrates Positive Choices so each paragraph ending with a solution who's with me now let's take a look at some notes in terms of what makes that another successful main body paragraph but it directly addresses the audience interest and experiences in fashion and self-expression it encourages embracing Unique Style and identity through clothing it celebrates Fashions positive whilst addressing ethical and mental Health considerations it offers alternatives to excessive shopping and promotes diverse activities for mental well-being it calls for Collective action to foster a culture of respect and share responsibility in fashion choices and a r Forest techniques pepper throughout again now our last couple of paragraphs so I think it's about time to wrap things up I think it's time for me to go to bed I've just got to edit this video very quickly it's now past 8: clock if there's one shiny take way I want you to pocket today it's this it's more important than ever to consciously consider the ethical social and environmental issues surrounding the production of our clothes I know that life seems to be getting tougher and tougher these days we've got school to navigate prices for everything are going through the roof we want to look our best because looking good makes us feel good right we can be stylish and we can be quirky in fact we can be whoever we want to be fashion is becoming increasingly important for us youngsters and me included but before you click on the next heavily curated influencer ad or video selling your favorite garment spare a thought for where it might have been produced or who might have produced it and consider their struggles compared to ours these big fashion corporations certainly need to do their bit for the environment too so I've included all of the key words from that second budet point and in terms of what makes it a successful ending well it speaks to audience concerns about school rising cost and the importance of fashion it encourages informed Decisions by considering ethical social and environmental impacts it acknowledges the desire to look and feel good whilst highlighting broader concerns it urges reflection before purchasing considering production Origins and impacts it advocates for environmental responsibility and awareness raising in the fashion industry and a range of right Forest techniques and a few lines to close the talk talk guys you've been great thanks for listening to me and not ripping me apart too much from my polka dot suit a bit
