Star Wars Outlaws is it worth a by let's read the words the words of Ubisoft experien the first ever open World Star Wars game uh I'm sorry but that's a lie straight away um I played Star Wars the Old Republic um the Star Wars Galaxy what a lord of [ __ ] and explored distinct planets across the Galaxy both iconic and new risk it all as kavas who KES KES okay an emerging scoundrel sit so not a Jedi then seeking freedom and the means to start a new life Bight steal and out with your way through the Galaxy's crime syndicates as you join the Galaxy's Most Wanted first up guys uh let's have a quick look at the graphical options um I was running this well you can see me sets and it ran great um no problems at all on my 2080 uh I was running it in 1080P but uh I didn't have any frame drops it looked nice um yeah no problem whatsoever all the keys rebound perfectly so not a problem with that and there's plenty of options um for accessibility options and things like that and you can turn off the yellow paint um and you can do other things to the actual game to make it easier or harder now I streamed this on regular difficulty because I've never played the game before I didn't know what it was going to be easy or whether it was going to be hard and I found that it was going to be really really easy uh I've since then uh as I've continued to play I've turned it up to Outlaw difficulty so you're going to get a mix of Outlaw difficulty and regular difficulty in this uh video you'll also see some footage from My Stream So the quality will be a bit uh below because I've literally copied it straight from twitch so yeah but most of the game is not from my stream it's stuff that I've played today or yesterday but what's the game like if the game shite it doesn't really matter does it and unfortunately the game shite you see I never felt at all like I was playing a Star Wars game let's take the characters um you play as K VES and I'm sorry but she does not fit my Star Wars profile as the hero that you want to play as in all Six Star Wars movies there's never been anybody like K VES with a stupid little fing pet that runs around jumping on people's faces and pretending to be cute when it's ugly as [ __ ] Star Wars is about Jedi sure Han Solo wasn't a Jedi he was a great great character he was a scoundrel and the game's trying to be like the Han Solo kind of type but that gets boring because Han Solo really it was boring in the sense of what he can do hey he can pilot a ship and fire a blaster but he can't chalk people he can't throw them around he doesn't have a glow stick to to melt people's faces with and that's the problem if you're making a star Star Wars game it better be good because Star Wars is a very exciting um franchise I mean all six movies were about lightsabers and stuff like that and it was the force you know this is it's not about lightsabers it's not about the force it's about Stealth it's about playing this woman who pretty much stealths our way through every Mission while telling her stupid ugly little freaky pet to jump on people's faces or go and pretend that he's dead head so he distracts people so she can just run around and jump on people's faces in fact I hardly ever used me gun I didn't need to I just ran around punching and jumping on people's faces it's just simple you just run up to them and press the attack face button and then you have the Tulips the Tulips guys where you can just hide in the Tulips and whistle and then the guards come to the Tulips and you just punch them in the face and then the next guard comes after you whistle and punch him in the face it's all about punching in in the face it's it's so boring every mission that I did just punch them in the face just run around I punch them in the face there's no Force jumps there's no chalking Jedi Mind Tricks lightsabers or any of the funs just punch them in the face that's all you do just run around hey you I'm going to punch you in the face or ma the Six GS just punch them in the face just punch everybody in the face Mac the Speeders the Speeders okay there's a speeder guys there's a speeder and it can customize all this your speeder you get on your spe speeder and then you instantly turn drunk so you can't actually pilot it properly it's all over the the controls of the speeder are Beyond hilarity guys it'sing aw the only way I found that I was able to Pilot these things or ride these things was looking at the there's a little bar above where the uh like the center of your screen and when you move your mouse left or right it moves there's a little guge moves how far you steering and as long as you only move the mouse a microb either way you can kind of navigate the road but if you ever have to do a sharp turn it's into a rock into a cliff off a cliff into a lake or whatever you crash absolutely pitiful controls now there are spaceships and them controls are better the spaceship controls in fact I quite enjoyed the spaceship the combat the the just flight the way it looked the spaceship one was done with well that felt good this is our lucky day two ships to gut more of them almost star warsy but the meat and potatoes of this game guys is about reputation it's about doing missions for different cartels and you get rep with one and you lose rep with the other but the missions are boring the missions are app guys honestly I had to take a break I've been playing this pretty much most of the day and I just had to take a break because I was bored it was just you spend like 20 minutes going through a mission punching everybody in the face and just hiding stealthing there's XXX your little pet has an x- rear Vision which I just never used because why would you and you do this Mission you'd have to sneak in and steal something so you run back to the quest Giver until they go off sto it and they'll say right well you need to go and speak to this guy over there so you go and speak to this guy over there and he says I want you to steal something I just stole something I want you to steal something for us this time off them okay 20 minutes of stelting around in tulips and punching people's in the face then he'll come back out and he'll say there you go and they'll say well you keep that and you upgrade your speeder with that but go and talk to them over there on your way out okay yeah yeah what can I do for you I need you after you've made your speeder work go on your speeder go over there look at your map and steal something guys everying mission is just stealthy stealthy punch him in the face stealthy stealthy punch him in the face stealthy stealthy punch him in the face oh there's me pet jumping on your face punch him in the face stealthy stealth in a Star Wars game guys what punch them F I missed I missed me ke I missed me ke I'm going to punch we're punched we're running we're ducking we're ducking can't hit us here don't know who you're messing with we're going to re we're going to refuel judge hey [Applause] [Music] [ __ ] Ain nothing I went into this m it's an open world Star Wars game so I want some Star Wars the open world's garbage absolute Garb it's just nothing I mean there is different planets I lost the will to live after I took off in me B I couldn't bear to land so I just quit at that point I don't care because I've seen the caliber of the open world in this game and it's just [ __ ] the only saving grace is the the kind of City hubs they look really busy they look alive I've played plenty games where places like this are just dead but Ubisoft have kind of nailed it you see lots of people from the Star Wars University oh there there's a there's one of them utab T solo guys Greedo kind of guy uh you know you see lots of other things that I don't know what they're called but you recognize them from the Star Wars movies um it looks star warsy when you're in the the the big hubs uh where the Traders are the vendors that you can buy cosmetics and all that from so yes that was good but the missions are awful the combat is [ __ ] absolutely [ __ ] the fighting is floody the the like the shooting it's not good it doesn't feel good at all the the shooting it's very floody and you know something you'll find guns that you pick up and you can't do anything with a gun in your hand you can't even talk to people I had a gun in my hand I gone to the settlement killed a few people and I had this gun and I went to talk to these people and I had to drop the gun to talk to them because of the animations it's just soing crap such a shame it it just the game feels like the people who made it don't really know what's fun anymore you can tell they've just got some basic ideas and they've just thrown it down cute pet a woman protagonist cute pet uh yeah stealth around there's x-ray vision there the little pet the whole point is the little pet goes and distracts them or jumps on the head and then you go and kill them when they're doing that and it's just boring and then you've got the the the parkour all the climbing the endless climbing yellow fing painted places just up and down and up and down and up and down it's just guys it's just boring I'm just sick as seeing the yellow paint and you know what take the yellow paint off ma there's a s why what is the point of taking the yellow paint off it makes no difference because you can still clearly see where you can climb it's all bleeding obvious where you can climb these Ledges that me that shouldn't even be there they're not part of architecture they're just Ledges sticking out of a [ __ ] wall that you just look at and go I'm supposed to climb up there then you've got the grappling hook and it's just again exactly the same you'll just see this beam across above you and you just think yeah I grapple onto that don't I another thing as well is these puzzles I sorry there I called them puzzles my goodness these boring I looked for a way of switching them off because you can't feel you literally can't feel it lockpicking a door it's just a tune you just tap the mouse to the tune it's and you just yeah bum bum there you go open the other one's an insult to people who have a brain the other one is you get six numbers or nine numbers and then you've got rows of three numbers and you just input the first three numbers and if it's yellow it means the numers there but in the wrong place if it's red it means that number is not in the sequence at all and if it's blue you've got the right number in the right place and you have something like five chances to do it you literally only need three or something it's just guys it's it's insulting the whole game I found insulting and offensive to be honest with you I was offended as a gamer that Ubisoft actually charge £4 for the full version and they think that e this is the kind of characters that most Gamers want to play as B this is the kind of combat that people find exciting and C this is what open World Star Wars is all about I mean my goodness clueless absolutely CL Ubisoft you haven't aing clue what you're doing just pack it in will you you don't know what you you don't know what you're doing you don't if someone give me your [ __ ] budget and the franchise for Star Wars and the remit was we want an open world Star Wars game I would be [ __ ] insulted if I made this I wouldn't even dare present this as aing proof of concept to my bosses it's that bad and I can't believe people are given this seven out seven out of 10 what it's fing garbage absolute boring fing repetitive punch him in the face stealth behind here all theing time yell P yell honestly guys I really wanted to love this who who wouldn't who wouldn't want a big open World Star Wars game of course we would be great unfortunately
