There is one option which we all use every day and that's paste special. But in this video, I'm going to share with you five amazing tricks which you can do with paste special. Now, in this sheet, I have some values and I want to increase these values by 10%.
So what I will do is I will copy this 110% and select these entire values and open my template. pay special option. Now in this pay special option, we have these operation where we can use add, subtract, multiply and divide.
So when I select multiply, it just multiplied these values with 110%. And in the same way, you can also use divide. So if I copy 10 and then I open pay special and and I go with divide. So it has divided all the values with 10. So I have a chart here with some custom formatting and I want to apply this chart's formatting to this chart. So all I need to do is select the chart and copy it and then select the second chart and then go to my home tab, open the paste special and select formats.
So it simply copied chart formatting from one chart to another chart. And in this sheet, I want to apply column width from the column A to E. I don't want to apply values. I don't want to apply formatting, just column width. So all I need to do is select the column and copy and then select the destination column.
Open the paste special options and select column width. That's it. Now in this sheet, if I copy values from this column and paste it to this column, it simply replace the values which are already there with the blank values. And there is an option in paste special which we can use and that's skip blanks.
So all I need to do is select the cell, open the paste special and there is a checkbox which says skip blanks. I just need to tick mark it. Yes, that's it. So it will not paste the blank cell to the destination range.
So this is the last but not the least. And with the space special, you can also transpose values. So all you need to do is select the values and copy them and then select the destination cell and select the values and click on transpose. And in the same way, you can also convert a row into a column.
