Hello viewers, Tim Pool here, editor of Gamming Insider and I'm with Marina, CEO of BGaming, star of our CEO special recently. Marina, thank you for joining us. Thank you Tim for having me.
I wanted to ask you a little bit more about the CEO special, a bit about your management philosophy and BGaming, but to start with... it's your fourth ice i believe that's true um how's this year been for you because it's busy isn't it well actually we we had to skip two years first one due to the covet and the the second one is due to the war uh so we donated all the money that we always spent to this event like to the charity to ukraine so uh we skipped like uh it's expanded i would say so but like comparing to lost sigma i would say it's more relaxed it's still like a lot of people crowded a lot of talking but you feel like, oh my God, I feel like I came home. I love London very much.
It's like all the things that I, in normal life, can hate about the city, I love here in London. So I enjoy myself very much. Brilliant, yeah, and we've got plenty more to look forward to this week at the show.
As I mentioned, the CEO special, you're on the front cover, you're interviewed. You took a picture with the cardboard cutout of yourself. What was that like, and how did it feel taking part? It was unexpected. I did not expect to see my face here.
and like quite a lot, not a lot, but a few people came like, may I take a picture with you? It's like, I feel like grown up, so I'm undercover. It's fantastic. Yeah. You had some interesting quotes in that CEO special.
One I wanted to ask you particularly about, you said you would prefer to encourage people. This is not the exact words, but prefer to encourage people to make mistakes and learn from them. Can you walk us through a bit about your management philosophy? Absolutely. It's in the philosophy of...
the company that we are not punishing for any mistakes and especially when you build the team and they're only like fresh and you but they are like charged to do things you need to trust them to if they even if they make mistake they learn something from this and the next time they will get better so I encourage this behavior and they I don't punish people for mistakes of course like if it's like something huge it will be noticed but it's not like fired fired sure so you're not like Alan sugar or Donald Trump. Yep. They do the apprentice fire every week. Thanks for comparison. So looking at Bgaming this year, I mean, you guys always have kind of new products and new partnerships coming out.
What's the kind of latest on the horizon for you guys? White markets, we are very focused on obtaining as much certificates and licenses as possible. So that's what we are doing.
We are restructuring the development process so that we can build a compliant platform for almost any jurisdiction. So that's the current plan. Of course, we will continue to release games.
That's what we're about. But yeah, I'm not talking about this. All the game providers are searching for some new features. We are as well.
But probably the white markets is something that we will be most focusing on. Sure. And with those markets, what are the biggest challenges you face? Obviously, there's different regulations in different markets.
What are the challenges and how are you overcoming them? They are changing. All the rules and requirements are always constantly changing.
If you don't have like a... super cool, not super cool, super skilled compliance team, which we don't at the moment. It's hard to move. So we are on the hunt for a cool specialist to cover for these roles. And we are dealing with our delivery team to restructure so that we can scale our business and do it properly according to all the compliance stuff.
Sure. And if we were to, on the CEO special theme, if we were to sit here this time next year and you were to look back... back on 2023 as a CEO, what would be your best achievement that you could imagine doing now?
So if we sat here and you're looking back and thinking that was the perfect year, how does that perfect year and best achievement look to you? Well, speaking about money, it's not my style. Of course, if we reach our goals, financial goals, it will be noticed for sure. But we started small and we had this cultural code.
And I... actually hope a lot of companies in this industry could have what we have. If we can grow and keep this cultural code, that will make me sure that the year was great. Brilliant.
Well, Marina, thanks very much for joining us. Thanks again for taking part in the CEO special. We'll see you around at ICE and the rest of the year.
Tim, always a pleasure talking to you. Thank you. Thank you.
