The Miraculous Anointing Oil of Ketisah

This week's Torah portion is Ketisah. This week's Torah portion is Ketisah. And in it we read about the oil that was used to anoint the priests in their role in the Holy Temple.

And in it we read about the oil that was used to anoint the priests in their boat following the temple. We're told that the boat that made this oil was brought to the We're told that Moses made this oil. And we're also told that when the Messiah comes and rebuilds the Temple, Siachon to be built in that boat.

we're going to have that oil back again that Moses originally made. We're going to have that oil back. But here's something really neat. And here's something really neat. We're told that as the oil was poured to anoint the priests......the oil?

We're told that as the oil was used to anoint the priests, it was not consumed. The oil flask would remain full. Whoa!

Sounds like a Hanukkah miracle, Sounds like a Hanukkah miracle, right? right? What's going on over here?

What's going on over here? Why is it that this oil would not be consumed? Why is it that this oil did not consume?

The priest would be anointed. The crucible he anointed, He'd become a priest. he became a priest.

He'd work in his role in the temple. He worked in his role with that oil. The oil is not consumed.

The oil did not consume. What's going on over here? What's going on over here?

And it's explained that God intended that the oil not be consumed. And it's explained that God intended that the oil not consume. God needed, God needed, God wanted that the oil not be consumed.

God wanted the oil not to consume. You know why? You know why? Because if the oil would be consumed and was placed on the priest's head, Because of the oil that you can see that was placed on his head, one might think that the oil made the priest holy.

It wasn't the oil that made the priest holy. one might think that he is a person inside. Holiness comes from inside. The oil was the inspiration, The oil of inspiration, the catalyst. the catalyst of all this.

But holiness has to come from you. And this is why the oil was never depleted. And this is why the oil was never depleted.

The oil was never depleted. The oil didn't do anything. It was the inspiration.

...was the inspiration. In Judaism, In Judaism, there's no quick fix. there's no quick fix, There's no highway to holiness. there's no highway to holiness. Holiness comes from within.

Holiness comes from within. Yes, Yes, we need inspiration. we need inspiration.

But remember, But remember, it's all within ourselves. it's all within ourselves. And even better, And even better, if we can be the inspiration for others.

if we could be the inspiration for it.
