In this Minecraft Civilization War, I placed four European powers on this mysterious abandoned island to see who would reign supreme. 100 Minecraft players are split between the French, the Spanish, the Portuguese, and of course the British. However, all is not as it seems, because on this island lies a dark secret. What treasure does this island hold, and which Minecraft Civilization will lay claim to it?
As the British army lands ashore, they're met with a small opening completely surrounded by dense jungle. Based on the north side of the island, the British are led by a player named OK Go, who has a history of being a pragmatic and sensible leader. To start mining trees, we need to get these defenses down.
And then also, obviously, if you can get tools and stuff, diamonds would be great, because then we can get diamond picks. Under his leadership, the British immediately begin gathering materials and building their base. On the other side of the island lies the British Empire's main rival, the French.
The French expedition is led by a ruthless player known as Kaiser Bank who has a reputation for brutality. Yeah, yes, yes, la garde meurt, mais n'est-ce qu'un pas. And as expected, to avoid punishment, the French players get to work establishing the colony without a moment to spare.
As all four Minecraft civilizations establish their colonies, they must also defend the obsidian in their Star Sing area. If they are destroyed, that team's players can no longer respawn, so it only takes two obsidian breaks to crumble an empire. The third Minecraft civilization to land ashore is the Portuguese.
Unfortunately for them, their leader is an anarchist that goes by the name Mufus. I'm not a tyrant. I'm-I'm definitely lenient.

Mufus has a track record with being a little bit anti-establishment. Youu know- And unlike the British, the Portuguese didn't start immediately defending their towers, but instead gathered materials, started farms and built furnace walls. Already I don't have a very good feeling about this, but hopefully the Portuguese players can help hold this expedition together.
We've got Rick Astley ladies and gentlemen, Rick Astley is in the game. The fourth and final Minecraft civilization hoping to claim this island's treasure is the Spanish. Looking over their starting area I couldn't find the obsidian tower, however... This is quite smart. The Spanish have hidden their obsidian tower in a tree instead of trying to defend it.
I would expect nothing less because the Spanish Expedition's leader is a very unique individual, Darth Blitz. This leader has a history of creative strategy, that either work incredibly well or just really don't. What we do is we extend some like trees.
With the, with Scott approved. No, I think, I think you'll like it. Youu love my cheese strats back in the day. Youu know, I, you know, I think I've become a little dry.
Youu know, I need, I need to spice things up again. At the moment, the center of the island is inaccessible to all players. However, if we work our way through the dense overgrown jungle, we will find an ancient city.
Here, at the top of a long abandoned pyramid, the ancients have left behind three enchanted obsidian. Once broken, these enchanted obsidian blocks can be placed on top of any team's existing obsidian, giving them an additional lifeline. Also hidden amongst the ruins, three legend- legendary weapons can also be found. However, as each European expedition will soon find out, the ancients didn't leave this valuable treasure completely undefended. And news of the treasure will surely lead to war, as each nation continues to gather resources to make resources, they're able to spend 64 iron ingots in order to purchase either a barracks or a dock.
After leaving the empires to conquer the land, I decided to speak to the British expedition to find out how things were going. So basically our defensive strategy here is we're just digging a big pit around the obsidian and then we're gonna put a single root onto it like a little path so we can just knock off any enemies who try to run across it. In addition, the British have also constructed a barracks.
The barracks supplies them with building materials and more importantly, musket rifles. Let's just hope their morale doesn't begin to falter. Having spoken with the British expedition, I decided to check in on Portuguese, who are just next door.
At first glance, the Portuguese seem to be doing very well, until I realized that they still have no fortifications on their obsidian tower. When I went to check on them, unsurprisingly, Mufus was leading the Portuguese expedition in an interesting direction. Listen, over here, the Frontier's finest is just preparing to conquer the New World. There's a really handy-dandy- The cave like a whole system a whole cave system right fires one so much so that we have a barrack set up We have so much money.
We've been making diamond hoes just to get rid of the forest based on my analysis They have the best economy resources and offensive armaments However, their left obsidian tower is completely undefended as they're focusing on gathering resources and clearing out as much jungle as they can They're ones to look for I just want to see some more progress on their actual base itself. Positioned on the opposite side of the island to the Portuguese, I decided it was finally time to check on the Spanish expedition. Arr, wow! A lot has been happening down here!
Like the Portuguese, Darth Blitz has also invested in a barracks for the Spanish expedition, providing them access to muskets. However, their base is nowhere to be seen, so I wanted to give the Spanish leader, Darth Blitz, an opportunity to justify his decision. There's two key points I'm gonna cover right now.
Number one, I think you've seen our obsidian, or you haven't. It shows how good it is, right? We have a giant tree over. We made it as... hidden as we possibly could.
The Spanish defensive strategy is extremely creative, but Darth Blitz's offensive strategy could probably use some work. Second key point, we want to kill the Brits. Now, according to Rise of Kingdoms...
Just, sorry to interrupt, you realize we're playing Minecraft, yeah? S-s-s-shut up! Shut up! But shut up. Youu be quiet, you be quiet.

I'm still not convinced he's in control of his team, but he sure does love to talk. At the minute, Spain is not filling me with hope, but they do at least have one redeeming quality. Oh, you do have Steve though. Definitely a W right there.
Despite their interesting defensive strategy, head-on offensive plan, and of course, Steve, the Spanish are doing a lot better than I expected. I do, however, have a few- few words of wisdom for the Spanish. Youur base is an absolute mess and I hate looking at it.
Goodbye. As I visit the French expedition, I see Kaiser Bank has ordered the construction of a ramp connecting their ship to the land. They've also acquired a barracks and a docks, even clearing a path through the dense jungle towards the centre of the island. Whilst Kaiser Bank is an authoritarian dictator, you can't say he doesn't get things done.
Ever keen to demonstrate his power, Kaiser Bank greeted me with a strong welcome. Napoleon has sent his army to colonize this island and with it the Imperial Guard itself. I'm not sure if Kaiser Bank's display of force is directed at me or his own players. Whatever the case may be, the French do seem to be well coordinated, but morale amongst the men is a different story. Right lads, general, everyone up on stage, like how confident are you that the French are gonna win this?
Uhhhh... Scott just... Just hear me out, I'll say what they should have said. Vive la France!
All four civilizations have now been building their colonies for quite some time, and as I take a look at the British base, I see they've found their stride in creating defenses. Like, look at-look at how well coordinated this looks. They've built both a seawall to protect from boat raids and- have also got adequate defenses for both obsidian towers. And true to history, the British Empire are doing what the British Empire does best. The British have already begun colonization.
A humbled abode. Poggers humble abode. Right next door is the Portuguese and uh, what on earth is that?
Oh my god, what a Portuguese Bill. Upon further analysis of their base, it appears that the Portuguese have opted for… Actually, I'm not really sure what their defensive strategy is. The Portuguese are clearly going for like an open top, like an open plan defensive strategy. But then they've done this.
I don't understand. Similar to their British neighbors, the Portuguese have also fortified their seas, but due to the massive eyesore now over their base and Mufus'general antics, let's just say I wasn't the happiest. I really want the Portuguese to lose this.
Opposite to the Portuguese on the other side of the island, the Spanish have doubled down on their camouflage strategy. The Obsidian is in the same position for every single team. Again, this is kind of a Hail Mary strategy. It either works brilliantly or just immediately fails.
Finally, we return to to the French, who have begun clearing out their forests to allow better line of sight. Although, I have found a fatal flaw in their defensive strategy. It's obvious that this is the obsidian right here, because they've literally built a big structure around it. Let's just hope Kaiser Bank considers these mistakes as they continue their building.
Speaking of mistakes... Oh my, oh my god, I so hope these guys lose. I'm so done, I've got to check again with Portuguese to see what on earth they've been building. First of all, what the hell is this monstrosity you've built? Can you please answer me that before anything else?

Previously inaccessible to all players, the ancient city is now open for business. With it comes access to 3 legendary weapons and the chance to claim Enchanted Obsidian atop the pyramid. But also a long forgotten dark force. The war has begun.

Underneath the ancient pyramid is a labyrinth spanning across the island. Within lies three legendary weapons, a bow, a spear and a club, all wielding extraordinary strength, but under the watchful protection of Herobrine Brit himself. Let's do this guys So what up with the obsidians?

The 32nd call has been made and the Portuguese are completely in control of the pyramid. Let's have a quick look, the first, the second, and the third obsidian has been placed. It seems this mysterious island has more to offer, as the ancient pyramid has regenerated three more enchanted obsidian. Portuguese are probably gonna get all three. There is one French, but is he gonna be the one to pick it up though?

Good game. With their respawns disabled, Spanish players are being eliminated from the island by the dozen, leaving us with three surviving empires. The British, the French and the Portuguese. Whilst all three are doing well, the Portuguese are the most vulnerable nation, as they're now stuck between the British and the French. Can Mufus help the Portuguese weather the storm?

If the war drags on for too long, all players on the island will lose their lifeline to respawn. When that happens, all players will only have a single life and the border will begin shrinking, leading to a total massacre. The French and the British, they are literally working together dude, what? This is rigged, literally two superpowers are collapsing on top of us. We hold strong.
The world is firing against us. But you know what, we are the frontier's finest. What's happening here? The French are forming up for something.
