  • The Qur'an was revealed by the power of the Almighty, the Merciful.

Warning to the Polytheists

  • The messengers came to warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they were heedless.
  • Most people do not believe, and the decree has been confirmed against them.
  • Allah has placed shackles around their necks, so they cannot see.
  • It is the same whether you warn them or do not warn them; they will not believe.

Description of the Believers

  • Those who follow the reminder and fear the Most Merciful in the unseen are given good news of forgiveness and a noble reward.
  • Allah revives the dead and records what they have sent ahead and their traces, and everything is in a clear record.

Story of the People of the Town

  • Messengers were sent to a town, but its people denied them.
  • Allah sent three messengers who said: "We have been sent to you."
  • The people of the town said to them: "You are only men like us, and the Most Merciful has not revealed anything."
  • The messengers confirmed their mission and that Allah knows they are sent.
  • A man from the farthest part of the city called his people to believe in the messengers.
  • The believing man said: "O my people, follow the messengers, who do not ask you for any payment and are rightly guided."

Punishment and Warning

  • The people of the town threatened the messengers with stoning and punishment.
  • The believing man defended the messengers and called to believe in the One who created him.
  • Allah destroyed the people of the town with a single cry, and they became silent.
  • Woe to the servants, never did a messenger come to them but they mocked him.

Signs in the Universe

  • Allah revived the dead earth and brought forth grain from it.
  • He created gardens of date palms and grapes and caused springs to burst forth in them so they may eat of its fruit.
  • Allah created pairs of all things from what the earth produces and from themselves.
  • The night, the day, the sun, and the moon are all signs from Allah.
  • The sun runs to a specific course, and the moon has phases decreed by Allah until it becomes like an old date stalk.
  • All float in their orbits.

Carrying Descendants in the Ark

  • Allah carried the descendants of Adam in the loaded ark and created for them similar vessels to ride.
  • If Allah willed, He could drown them, and there would be no savior for them except His mercy.

Denial of the Polytheists

  • The polytheists refuse to spend from what Allah has provided for them.
  • They question the promise of Allah, awaiting nothing but a single cry that will seize them while they dispute.

Blowing of the Trumpet

  • When the trumpet is blown, people will be resurrected from their graves to their Lord.
  • They will say: "Woe to us, who has raised us from our resting place? This is what the Most Gracious promised, and the messengers told the truth."
  • On that day, no soul will be wronged at all, and you will be recompensed only for what you used to do.

People of Paradise and Hell

  • The companions of Paradise will be joyfully engaged, they and their spouses reclining in shade on adorned couches.
  • They will have fruits in it and whatever they call for, "Peace," a word from a Merciful Lord.
  • Allah distinguishes between the believers and the criminals.
  • The criminals will enter Hell for what they used to earn.

Conclusion

  • Allah reminds humanity that He created them from a drop of fluid, and then they become adversaries clearly disputing.
  • Allah is capable of reviving the bones while they are decayed.
  • Allah has the dominion of all things in His hand, and to Him, you will be returned.
