I've spent hours figuring out the best way to summarize Long YouTube videos I've actually tried a bunch of tools but either they are not good or it's not free and I have to pay a lot of money to access a summary so today I'm going to share with you a tool called tactic that allows you to easily summarize Long YouTube videos and for free let's get started so first go ahead and copy the link of the Long YouTube video that you want to summarize and then go to tactic. i/ tools you- transcript the full link is also in the video description now go ahead and enter the link of the YouTube video click on get video transcript to get the full transcript of the video so as you can see I have the full transcript in a few seconds so I can either copy or download the full transcript go ahead and go to the Chrome Web Store and install tactic it's free now since I already have a tactic account I'm going to go ahead and log in so once you're logged in on tactic you'll be taken to the dashboard where you can see here upload transcript or recording I already have the transcript which was also generated instantly by tactic so I'm just going to go ahead and upload that once it's uploaded tactic will process the video and it only takes a few seconds depending on how long your video is so now that I have the transcript in tactic I can do all the summary that I want to do so I can just click a button right here and write bullet point highlights and voila I have the highlights of a 35 minute video podcast that I've been wanting to watch but I just don't have the time right now or I can just ask a question of the main takeaway video or any question that you want this is especially helpful if you're a student and you're watching a video lecture so I'm going to go ahead and click ask and voila I have the Highlight right here I can copy this into my to-do list so there are plenty of prompts here but if you're just looking for the summary you can always just click on short summary so there you have it that's how easy it is to get a summary of a YouTube video and I told you it's free if you want to learn more about tactic just click the link below the video If you like this guy please give us a thumbs up and subscribe my name is Irene Chan and I'll see you in the next video
