[Music] hello everyone how are you doing this is mdte here with another quick tutorial in today's tutorial I'm going to show you guys how to remove the learn about this picture icon that may appear on the lock screen on your computer or if you're coming back from sleep mode you might see it on the window of Spotlight theme I believe is the official terminology for it so if you're looking to remove that icon or option in today's tutorial I'm going to show you guys how to hopefully address that and without further Ado let's go ahead and jump straight into it so couple different ways here first option would be to open up the search menu type in settings best match should say settings open that up select personalization on the left side and on the right side select the background button versus personalize your background click on the drop down make sure it's set to anything other than Windows Spotlight so instead of it showing a picture you can show something else in here instead basically have to work around for that so you won't see that pop up anymore so I know it sounds a little cheap in a sense but I'm just saying that's one way if you want to get rid of the option to have a little thing saying show me where this picture's from you can select another picture on your computer a solid color or even a slideshow that may be present on your computer or you can create or link to one that's on your computer so just wanted to give you guys a couple different options there so once that has been looked at something else we can try here as well so let me just close out of here we can open up the search menu type in CMD best match let say command prompt right click on it and select run as administrator if you receive a user account control prompt select yes and now I'm going to have a registry path in the description of the video here guys this is going to go about removing the windows Spotlight feature together so go ahead and just paste it into the command prompt by right clicking on the top bar at the top of the command prompt window select edit and paste it in again this is going to just remove windows Spotlight Al together so just keep that in mind hit enter on your keyboard just say operation completed successfully close out of here and you can restore your computer at this time so there you go guys hopefully I was a resolve the problem for you and as always thank you for watching I do hope POs to help you out and I do look forward to catching you all in the next Tut tutorial goodbye
