Comprehensive Review of OnePlus Buds Pro 3

[Applause] sh what the setup is ready we have to shoot oh right right let's go so you must have realized that the OnePlus buds Pro 3 is actually very addictive but you know what I'm getting ahead of myself so what we'll do for this video is actually review it in detail in typical track and T English style if you're here for the first time I'm ashad and of course you're watching track and T English your destination for detailed incisive Gadget reviews so OnePlus has moved away from that jewelry box design that it was using till now to a tedly one and this is a thick tedly with a fall leather texture no less now when I saw the Enders for the first time I thought that these would feel cheap and they won't look good but when I held it in my hand they actually do feel very premium and this is a texture that we've not seen before on a pair of tul here but at least I not seen it the case has a really nice co-created with d audio logo on the rear and we know what that means you also get a dedicated Bluetooth pairing button which is damn nice some of your phones don't give it and there's a type-c port at the bottom as well now I'm curious do you actually like the jewelry box design that OnePlus used to have previously now while you think of that answers there's another thing that I want to tell tell you guys is that please subscribe hit the Subscribe button be nice to us I know that you like our content so give us a support now while I've asked you about that jewelry box case I do feel that this design is better primarily because of this yeah you can flip it open like this with one sweeping motion now once you flip it open inside is the cavity where the buds are nestled and right now it's time for aot's live Yang test let's do it let's do it let's do it let's do it oh these magnets are strong oh that took quite a bit of effort I think this can definitely survive mile local for sure the buds themselves have a glossy designed stem and a matte texture for the housing itself so you've got a dual texture going on while the texture is nice what I feel is that sweat sticks to it very easily so if your ears are grimy then you will see a little bit of a patch that you'll have to clean out now the buds themselves for my ear type they fit exceptionally well they've got ip55 rating as well so if you're going to be taking it out for exercising that's going to be pretty good too but I noticed that you have to get the right size of the tip to ensure that you get the right fit as well otherwise you won't get the best base response so yeah so the largest tip works for me maybe the medium or the small will work for you you do get the tips in the Box as well now connecting the butts to any phone with Bluetooth 5.4 is a breeze now once you open the lid the Google Fast pair notification will pop up on your Android phone and it will instantly link to your Gmail account as well on the iPhone it's your age-old you know Bluetooth connection method where you'll have to put the buds in pairing mode first and then connect the phone to it also the buds Pro 3 comes with support for dual pairing which means that you can connect to your phone and your laptop at the same time and of course you can switch the audio stream to the one that you want to to listen to at that very specific moment now when you connect these buds to a OnePlus phone of course all of the settings come up in the Bluetooth page itself now if you using any other Android phone or an iPhone you will have to download the hey Melody app now within this app you can do a lot of things firstly there is a visual indicator for the battery left inside the case and the buds itself you can change the noise control options basically switch between ANC normal and transparency you can also change the EQ settings along with the predefined eqs I'll talk about that in a bit there's also a golden sound test which will tune the sound or the EQ according to what your ears are listening now from within this you can also switch on to the spatial mode and this time around what OnePlus has done is that it is working with Google on Google spatial audio which means that there'll be a wider support for spatial audio and with this you also get the option to switch on the game mode take an earbud fit test and also find my earbuds and if you want to you can also change the way the earbud controls are mapped talking about which you get in ear detection with these butts which means that when you take them out of your ears they will pause music put them back on they will play and it's tuned really well with really good latency as well on the stem you get the pinch controls and I found them to be extremely responsive and that you know really soft thud that you hear when you press or pinch it's damn nice you also get swipe controls which means that you can swipe up and down to increase or decrease the volume but what I noticed is that the touch surface to actually you know swipe up and down is at the front and it's kind of weird because my fingers are pudgy and when I do it sometimes it dislodges the earbuds from my ears all right now we're standing outside because we're doing the live mic test of the the OnePlus buds Pro 3 and this is the sound from the OnePlus buds Pro 3 and this is what it sounds like what I feel is that it definitely does m quality better but it's still not at the level of some other 2D wiress buds that I've tested the voice pickup bone sensor is definitely helping in making it sound slightly cleaner now the 50db active noise cancellation that you get with the OnePlus buds Pro 3 is actually incredible this time around it obviously does a good job of cutting out a frequent hum like that of an airplane engine but this time around if you raise your music volume to about 7 20% you can even cut out the sounds of your co-workers talking right next to you which is a good thing in comparison the transparency mode could have been slightly better it could have been slightly more transparent in my opinion also it does make my voice sound robotic when I talk with the mode on now talking about the game mode the game latency is capped at 94 milliseconds for OnePlus phones and it's not really the best if you ask me because there are buds that can do lower latency as well which is possibly the reason why there was a little bit of an audio video lag when I was actually playing videos on my MacBook battery life on these have been good standard for Flagship truly VI is earbuds I got about 5 hours and 30 minutes of battery life and this is with 70% volume AC quc andc on now the full charge for the case and the buds inside it takes about 70 minutes but if you want like a quick charge you can do that as well basically a 10-minute charge gives you like 5 hours of playback which is pretty great all right finally it's time to talk about the sound quality and spoiler alert it's a hit so with respect to the tech specs you get the same 11 mm drivers Dynamic drivers and 6 mm microplanar tweeters the difference is is that this time around OnePlus has used two dedicated dacks for each of these drivers which means that sound for you know going to each of these drivers would be controlled by those dedicated decks and yes that setup is something very similar to the Samsung Galaxy butts 3 Pro now for testing purposes I use the pixel 9 Pro XL and a OnePlus 12 now the OnePlus 12 does support lhdc but the pixel 9 Pro XL doesn't so you have to you know use AC codc which is pretty good too but I feel that OnePlus should have given support for ldac because that would have worked with the pixel9 pro XL as well because that is a more widely support Bluetooth hris codic compared to lhdc talking about sound sign nature they are very well balanced so much so that every single frequency range for example whether it's the base the mids or the treble they get equal prominence in the mix it's not like the bass is like no no no no I want more space or mids comes forward or treble comes forward which is very good the base attack is impactful it's tight and it's fairly fast too but there's a little bit of a dek that I noticed now for this I pulled down the subbase frequency a little bit from the EQ and that solved my problems a little bit this is when I realized that the do dacks are definitely helping the OnePlus buds 3 Pro respond to eqing very well and that's the advantage of having dedicated dacks for each driver but I must definitely mention one thing in my period of testing there's something weird that happened so there is this di audio featured preset which was God deer but that's before an OT update came and nerfed it I have no idea why OnePlus did that this preset was really my go-to preset and I was going to be talking about that in this review more often than not now OnePlus is trying to get it fixed in the meantime you can play around with the the golden sound option like I mentioned which personalizes the audio according to your year type there are also four other EQ options that you can try to figure out what works for you now coming back to the balance sound we spoke about the base now the treel itself is bright it's got the right amount of extension to ensure that you can hear those minu details but without it being fatiguing so in Stairway to Heaven by lead Zeppelin there are no uneven spikes and the clangs in the song they don't feel like you know grating which sometimes do on certain treble uh heavy earphones and the best thing about the sound signature is that the mids do not feel recessed like most other OnePlus truly Wireless butts that I've tested in the recent past anyway talking about the mids in supersonic rocket ship by The Kinks every single detail of the vocal comes through there's a little bit of a mid push as well in that song OnePlus does the tuning really well I'm really glad about the mid tuning as well and it's not just the sound signature these butts also get the technicalities right you get ample details for you to appreciate the minor intricacies in most mixes the sound staging is actually fantastic you get a proper horizontal and vertical height too for a pair of trully wellas bus that's good and the Imaging is pretty good too so every single instrument you can hear it very clearly no problem while the OnePlus buds Pro 3 is great I feel that this is still not the best in terms of technicalities which actually is another truly Val earbuds which one could that be let me know in the comment section below I haven't reviewed it yet overall the butts Pro 3 are definitely s tier if you ask me in terms of sound quality of course there are a couple of other products also in the S tier according to me so OnePlus has delived with the OnePlus butts Pro 3 and how all the changes and improvements that they've done to ensure that you get a better sounding product has landed hard the dino audio tuning with dual individual dacks for each driver is a master stroke in my opinion easily the butts Pro 3 is one of the top three sounding truly wiress earbuds that I have tested all year but I will say this the lack of elac is still a concern for me anyway trust me if I had that kind of money I would literally want to gift these to each one of my subscribers they're that good so after watching this review would you consider the OnePlus butts Pro 3 or not or would you look at something else let me know in the comment section below I'll see you guys in the next one until then keep tracking and stay safe [Music]
