hi everyone it's Lon here so I've been using Alexa for about a year now it's been great turning on and off lights Alexa turn on the lights but we've never been able to connect we've never been able to have deep conversations Alexa are you better than chat GPT um [Music] no chat GPT is pretty good at Deep conversations so I thought there's got to be a way to turn Chat CPT into the smartest personal assistant available [Music] so all I need to do is to turn my speaking into text how are you feed it to chat GPT and have a voice synthesis read out the chat GPT answers I am fine thank you and you I'm gonna name it Jarvis for obvious reasons he will just allow me to contact Mr Stone the first step is to choose a device I want to build on it could be for phones for desktop or for computer board like Raspberry Pi I'm going to try it on their desktop first okay so turning my speech into text and turning text to speech is the easy part plenty of libraries do that open AIS Whispers great atmosphere to go and tortoise AI is pretty great for text to speech said Certified Freak seven days a week woo the harder part is how to feed it to church GPT and get answers now Chad GPT doesn't have official apis yet there are plenty of great unofficial ones for node.js and python here I'm using python apis but it's really inconvenient I gotta change the session token every time I open up a new chat and the most important part is it's not cool it's not on standby like every other personal assistant I wonder if I could somehow connect it to Siri on my phone found out there's an actual way to connect to gpt3's API from the shortcut app so I created a shortcut to get my voice input posted to gpt3 get answers and read it out the moment of truth hey Siri get Jarvis this is Java speaking are you better than Alexa question mark no Alexa is much better than me get Jarvis this is Java speaking what is the meaning of life the meaning of life is different for each individual and is unique to each person's perspective and Life Experiences hope you enjoy this video and let me know what you want me to talk about next time Happy Chinese New Year hey Siri
