Addressing Secret Sins in Community

God says your secret sins are in the light of his countenance mean he sees them plainly. So as much as we try to hide them cuz ultimately when when you use words like secret sins that means you're hiding them from somebody but who you hiding them from man because God sees them plainly. When we come into this truth is our job to get right in sincerity and not to try to put up a front in front of man. You have to start to hate those different things that you see when you see because you got to think when you see harlotry you should have a deep hatred for that because God says our women there should be no [ __ ] of the daughters of Israel. You have to develop a hatred for iniquity that keep so strong to the point where you do not go into that lust of the eye. You do not go into those sins of pornography. These is things you have to develop. But when you come into this truth, discipline is the key to building up your spirit. You wonder why brothers certain brothers have the a higher uh level of the spirit or higher portion of the spirit than others. It's through the application of discipline. Shalom most high Christ blessed. This is officer Samson here. IUIC Detroit. And to my right, I got my reader, Soldier Nehemiah. Soldier Nehemiah. Okay. All praise to the most high God. We in this building. Today we have a uh class tailor made for the Israelites who have been keeping the faith in Christ for some time. Israelites, you found out you was an Israelite. you you know that you are of the the tribe of Judah, Benjamin, Levi, Ephraim, Issachar, Gab, whatever tribe you descend from, and you know that you're supposed to be keeping the commandments. You've been congregating for a while, but you still have sins in which you have not confessed and let go. So, this class is going into secret sins. Why? Because ultimately, we all have goals. We all have goals as individuals. We have goals as a family and we have goals as a body. And the most high God will not allow us to achieve the things that we want if we continue to hide sin. Get start with the book of Jeremiah chapter 5:2. Jeremiah 5 and 25. Let me know when you got it. Jeremiah 5 and verse 25. Come on. Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholding good things from you. So the most high God wants to bless us with abundant things. He wants to bring salvation to the nation of Israel. But the nation of Israel as a whole, we have to get right. We have to forsake our sins. We have to meditate on his word daily. Give me that in Joshua 1 and8. Joshua 1 and8. Because a lot of times we see uh we see we get our fringes, we get our borders of blue, we forsake those commandments that may be easy for us. Like for for example, some people uh it was easy for them to stop eating pork. Maybe some people it's not easy. You know, some people it was easy for them to uh start to keep the Sabbath day, but mentally you still have other hang-ups that you have not dealt with. Read what you got. Joshua chapter 1 and verse 8. Come on. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth. Read it again. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth. So he's giving you key tools in which you can do to prepare your mind. You have to speak the scriptures constantly daily. Read. But thou shalt meditate therein day and night. Read. That thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein. That you might what? That thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein. The point of the meditation of the Bible is so that you could apply the things written therein. It's not so that you can learn a bunch of knowledge so you can know more than your friends around you. It's not so you can learn a bunch of precepts so that you can uh go on the street and embarrass Christians. Even though that might be fun, but the point of you learning meditating on the word is so that you can apply the the commandments therein. Read. But thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein. Slow down. Read that again. Why you read so fast? But thou shalt meditate therein day and night. Come on. uh that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein. Uhhuh. For then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. A lot of us is looking for good success. We looking for prosperity. And not in the sense of how Christians teach uh prosperity but in the sense of we looking to nation build to have uh strong families to have strong unity amongst the brotherhood. We looking for deliverance. We want that good success that the Bible teaches us. And the only way that we can get it is if we apply and keep all the commandments therein. But a lot of times brothers will put up a front. A lot of times brothers and sisters, they come in with their big fringes. They come in with their big strong shalom. But meanwhile at the ranch, they have a lot of sin that they have yet to deal with. So give me that in Psalms chapter 90 verse 8. Psalms 90 and verse 8. Let me know when you got it. Psalms 90 vers8. Psalms chapter 90 and verse 8. Come on, let's go. Thou has started verse one actually. Verse one. Lord, thou has been our dwelling pace place in all generations. Come on. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou has formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. Uh-huh. Thou turnest man to destruction and sayest, "Return, ye children of men." So God has turned us into destruction. When we was brought into slavery in the the 15th century, the 14th century, we was turned to destruction. God is telling us to return and keep his commandments. But read verse eight. Verse eight, thou has set our iniquities before thee. So when we go out to the streets and we calling out the sins of our people, we calling them back to repentance, that's the Lord setting out our iniquities before us. Read, thou has set our iniquities before thee. Our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. God said the secret sins that we have are in the light of his countenance. Some people's secret sins may be drinking. Some people have a alcohol problem. Some secret sins may be pornography. We gonna deal with a lot of these different secret sins that people they are in fear to confess because they are in fear of man and not God. But God is telling you plainly before God your secret sins are what? Thou has set our iniquities before thee. Come on. Our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. God says your secret sins are in the light of his countenance. I mean, he sees them plainly. So, as much as we try to hide them, cuz ultimately when when you use words like secret sins, that means you're hiding them from somebody. But who? You hiding them from man because God sees them plainly. When we come into this truth, it's our job to get right in sincerity and not to try to put up a front in front of man. Go to Job chapter 34. Job 34:22. Job 34 and 22. Job chapter 34 and verse 22. Come on. There is no darkness nor shadow of death where the work. Let's start at verse 21. Verse 21. For his eyes are upon the ways of man. God said his eyes are upon the ways of man. He sees all the things that we do. All the things we do at night time with nobody there. God sees you plainly. Read. and he seeth all his goingings. He see all your goings. That time you you look both ways to make sure no brothers and sisters from the body saw that you was uh going into that store to buy that cigarette, God saw you plainly. Read verse 22. There is no darkness nor a shadow of death where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves. It's nowhere where you can hide yourself before God. So it's no need in hiding their sin. The best thing that you can do is confess that thing to brothers and sisters and take your judgment from man. Why? Because if God has to judge you, it may be with your life. Read on verse 23. Come on. For he will not lay upon man more than right, that he should enter into judgment with God. He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in theirstead. Therefore, he knoweth their works. So, stop right there. God said he will break in pieces mighty man and set others in theirstead. What is that telling you? A lot of times people hide their iniquity because they're trying to hold on to something worldly. But God says he will take that away from you and put another man in yourstead. Read on verse 25. Come on. Therefore he knoweth their works and he overturnth them in the night so that they are destroyed. He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others. Where you at? Verse 26. Come on. He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others because they turned back from him and would not consider any of his ways. So now he stated when you try to hide that iniquity, you try to hide that sin, God will put you on blast in front of everybody. He going to destroy you in front of everybody even though you trying to hide that thing. Read on verse 28. Come on. So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted. When he give ofth quietness, who then can make trouble? Come on. And when he hideth his face, who then can behold him, whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only, that the hypocrite reign not? That what? That the hypocrite reign not. Lest the people be ins sns snared. Surely it is meat to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement. I will not offend anymore. So what is he what is the psalmist saying? He's saying that it is better to repent and forsake that for sin then for God have to have to put you on front in front of everybody because you will be deemed a hypocrite when you have those secret sins. That mean you going out you going out teaching. you big, strong, mighty Israelite sisters. Got the the long dress with the long fringes uh got the uh head wrap wrapped around 62 times. But meanwhile, at the ranch, she's still talking to her baby daddy. These are secret sins that God said he will judge you for those, and it's better for you to forsake them. Read on Job 34:32. Come on. That which I see not, teach thou me. If I have done iniquity, I will do no more. That's the type of temperament we got to take on for us to forsake these iniquities for good. Job 16 and verse 17. Job 16 and verse 17. Come on. Not for any justice in mine hands. Also my prayer is pure. Oh earth, cover not thou my blood, and let my cry have no place. Also now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high. My friends scorn me, but my eye pourth out tears unto God. Uh, stop right there. Let me see. Read 17- 16. Let me see that one. I don't know why I put that. Job chapter 17 and verse 16. No, Jeremiah 16-1 17. I'm sorry. I've said a joke. Jeremiah 16-17. Jeremiah chapter 16 and verse 17. Come on. For mine eyes are upon all their ways. They are not hid from my face. Read it again. For mine eyes are upon all their ways. The God of heaven and earth said his eyes are upon all your ways. It's nothing that you can hide from the most high God. Every secret thing that you try to keep to yourself, God says he's seen it. Read. For mine eyes are upon all their ways. They are not hid from my face. Read. Neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes. Come on. And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double. Why? Because they have defiled my land. They have filled mine inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable things. So it's best for you to confess that thing than to you for you to walk around and defile the heritage of God. Because a lot of times brothers and sisters don't realize the secret sins that you dealing with can affect those that's around you. The can affect those like you read about in the book of Joshua. Uh let's get that. What is that? Joshua 8. Joshua 8. This wasn't in my notes, but it just hit me. I believe it's Joshua 8. Yeah. Read verse one. Joshua chapter 8 and verse one. Start at verse Start at seven and verse uh seven and verse one. Joshua chapter 7 and verse one. Come on. But the children of Israel committed a trespass and a cursed thing. For Aon, the son of Ki, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zarah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the cursed thing. So he took a Babylonian garment when uh Joshua and the men was sent in to destroy everything in his land. But but Aan, he decided to steal a Babylonian garment and try to hide it. And what happened? Read. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against the children of Israel. And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth Ain, on the east side of Bethl, and spake unto them, saying, "Go up and view the country." And the men went up and viewed Ai. And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, "Let not all the people go up, but let about two or 3,000 men go up and smite Ai." So he sent 2,000 men up to Ai to destroy it. And what happened? and make not all the people to labor thither. Come on. For they are but few. So there went up thither of the people about 3,000 men. Come on. And they fled before the men of Ai. And the men of Ai smokeote of them about 30 and six men. For they chased them from before the gate, even unto Cherubam, and smokeote them in the going down. Wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water. So there was judgment that came upon the people because this one negro decided he wanted to hide sin amongst the people because he wanted to hide sin. People around him got judged and ultimately that's why we have to deal with these things. We have to we you don't want to be the one who is the reason that something happens to a brother and sister because you hiding sin because you refuse to confess your faults. Jump uh go to Psalms chapter 19. I encourage y'all to read the rest of that on your own. I got a lot of scriptures here, so I'm not going to read the entire thing, but let's go to Psalms 19 and verse 9. Psalms chapter 19 and verse 9. Come on. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever. So, the first thing we have to do is develop a healthy fear of the Lord. You won't hide sin when you fear the judgments of God. When you fear what God's wrath can come upon you, you will you will not go after that sin. Why? Because you know what can transpire from you doing so. Read on. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever. Come on. The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold. Yay, much fine gold. Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover, by them is thy servant warned. and in keeping of them there is great reward. Uhhuh. Who can understand his errors? Cleanse thou me from secret faults. So David is asking for repentance from secret faults. Everybody got those secret faults. Things that you be dealing with in your spirit that you have yet to acknowledge. Things that you would like to not acknowledge from in front of everybody. But David is asking for the cleansing of those things. Read Psalms chapter 19 and verse 13. Come on. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins because secret sins become presumptuous sins. Some presumptuous sins is sins unrepented of. Unrepented of sins which will lead you to that lake of fire. Those secret faults that you dealing with that you think that you oh I'm going to get a grasp of it. I'm going to be all right. Those the sins that's going to take you out. Those are sins that cause you to become reprobate. because you do not uh acknowledge those things and forsake them. Read on. Let them not have dominion over me. What did it say? Let them not have dominion over me. The way that you become reprobate, the way that you end up uh forsaking the Lord is because those sins start to have dominion over you. You start to be ruled by those sins. Read. Then shall I be upright and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. Now, let's go into that dominion that those secret sins have over a lot of people. Go to Romans chapter 6:12. Romans 6 and 12. And then we going to get into a few of those particular sins. Let's go. Romans chapter 6 and verse 12. Come on. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body. Whenever you got secret sins that's causing you to go off, a lot of times it changes your entire spirit. Why? Because Satan starts to rule over you. You is the Lord's spirit is no longer in effect. Satan is ruling over you. Read. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body that ye should obey it in the lust thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin. Why? But yield yourselves unto God. Come on. As those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. Read. For sin shall not have dominion over you. For ye are not under under the law, but under grace. So when it says sin shall not have dominion over you is referring to Satan himself. Why? Go to Genesis 4. Because Cain was told the same thing. He was told the same thing concerning his sins. Genesis 4 and reverse 7. Genesis chapter 4 and verse 7. Come on. If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted. So doing well is keep the keeping of the commandments. Doing well is forsaking those sins, confessing your faults. Read. And if thou doest not well, if you don't do well, you try to hide those things. Sin lith at the door. Read. And unto thee shall be his desire. His desire is Satan. Sin will rule over you. Satan will rule over you. Why? We go to that in wisdom of Solomon. Is it one and five? Yeah. Wisdom of Solomon 1 and five. Because whenever you got sin, the spirit of the Lord is not there. I'm going show you what I mean. Wisdom of Solomon 1 and verse five. The book of wisdom of Solomon chapter 1 and verse 5. Start at verse two. Three. Verse two. For he will be found of them that tempt him not, and show of himself unto such as do not distrust him. For forward thoughts separate from God. So forward thoughts separate you from God. Thoughts of iniquity separate you from God. When you think, "Oh man, I should just smoke one more time." That separates you from God. When you think, "Oh, I should call uh Sheniqua one more time." That separates you from God. Read. For for a thought separate from God and his power, when it is tried, reproveth the unwise. Come on. For into a malicious soul, wisdom shall not enter. That wisdom is the spirit of Christ. The spirit of Christ, it will not enter into a malicious soul. Read. Nor dwell in the body that is subject unto sin. Subject to sin is the same thing that it was saying in Romans. Sin has dominion over you. You cannot be in the spirit of Christ while sin has dominion over you. Like the scripture say, you can't serve two masters. Read on. Verse five. For the Holy Spirit of discipline will flee deceit. What did it call it? The Holy Spirit of what? The Holy Spirit of discipline. That's what a lot of Christians lack. You know, I might go on a tangent on Christians if I say that word too many times. But they tell you they had a Holy Spirit, but they lack all discipline. They don't have they don't have no problem devouring uh chitlins uh soaked in hot sauce. They don't have no problem uh with the pastor sleeping with the uh Miss Johnson, the treasurer. They don't have no problem with uh Miss Ellis being having four kids being was at the club last night. as long as she come in and pay her tithe the next morning, they don't have no problem with that because they lack discipline. But when you come into this truth, discipline is the key to building up your spirit. You wonder why brothers some certain brothers have the a higher uh level of the spirit or higher portion of the spirit than others is through the application of discipline. Read on. Wisdom of Solomon chapter 1 and verse 5. For the Holy Spirit of discipline will flee deceit and remove from thoughts that are without understanding and will not abide when unrighteousness cometh in. It's not going to abide when unrighteousness come in. So, let's go to First John 2. So, we going to get a few examples of these different secret sins that brothers and sisters deal with. Uh it do y'all got those pictures that I sent into the chat? All praises. All praise to the most high God. All right. First John chapter 2. Let's start at verse 15. 1 John chapter 2 and verse 15. Come on. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the father is not in him. So the scriptures tell us plainly we not to love the world. A lot of times we get caught up and we covet the things and desire things that they have in the world. But we are to be separate, completely holy. We to be the light of the world. We shouldn't have no type of connection. It shouldn't be nothing that makes us look like how the world looks. Read on. Verse 16. Come on. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the what? The lust of the flesh. Read and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the father, but is of the world. So if it's of the world, that mean of Satan. And it said these three particular things are of not of God, but of Satan. So let's see what those things. Read that again. 1 John chapter 2 and verse 16. Come on. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh. The lust of the flesh. Can you pull up that image that we got for the lust of the flesh? Can you pull that up for me? The lust of the flesh. Can you read that? The lust of the flesh refers to desires that stem from our sinful nature, often leading to actions that are contrary to God's will. Examples include sexual immorality. So one of the lust of the flesh that a lot of people keep secret is sexual immoralities which are adultery, fornication. A lot of people have have committed fornication outside of the body and they would like to keep it secret. That is something that we cannot be named amongst us. Hold that picture. Let's uh give me first Corinthians 6:18. We going to come back to the picture. You can uh we going to come back to that. 1 Corinthians 6:18. 1 Corinthians chapter 6 and verse 18. Come on. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body. So a lot of times brothers and sisters go without the body and they commit fornications. You may link back up with a familiar that you knew from the world. Maybe your baby mother, your ex-girlfriend, or it might be the the the chick who hitting on you at work. For some of y'all sisters, do the same thing. That is without the that removes you from the body of Christ when you commit those things. Read, flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body. The scripture says you must flee fornication. That mean run from that thing. So, you know, if you know you cannot handle being around certain women, don't go around them. Give me that in Galatians 5. Start at verse read 16 first. Galatians chapter 5 and verse 16. Come on. This I say then, walk in the spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. If you walk in the spirit of Christ, you will not fulfill that lust of the flesh that is of the world. Like first John said, let's see some of these lust of the flesh. Read. For the flesh lusteth against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh, and these are contrary the one to the other, so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. These are at war with each other constantly. Your flesh and the spirit of Christ is constantly at war. Read. But if you be led of the spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: adultery. Adultery is a sexual sin outside of the laws of marriage. You cannot be caught up in that thing. Cheating, cheating on your wife, cheating on your husband. You can't be caught up in that thing. Read. Fornication. Fornication. You smacking hams with your next door neighbor. You should not be ne that shouldn't be named amongst us. Read. Uncleaness. Come on. lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envings, murders, drunkenness, rellings, and such like, of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. So if your ultimate goal is to enter into the kingdom of heaven, it will behoove you to stay away from these sins, call your counselor. If you if you know and deep down in your spirit it's hard for you to bear with these things, find somebody to talk to. Find I have a love spirit on me. My body is desiring to have sex. Brothers will sit down and counsel with you. Show you the steps that you need to do to do it the right way and get married. Go to 1 Corinthians 7. show you the right steps to do to get married. If you have if you battling that spirit and you're a married man, you need to confess that thing. It's been a spirit on me where I've been attracted to other women. I need counsel. I need to sit down so that I don't go into that sin. And if you already committing this sin and you amongst the body, you need to confess that thing and deal with it h head on because ultimately it'll turn into presumptuous sin and which will lead you far away from the kingdom of heaven. You on the highway to hell like somebody said on clubhouse yesterday, you six inches under hell. I like the way he said that. Read on. Read what you got. 1 Corinthians chapter 7 and verse two. Come on. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. So, we given strict details on how to avoid this thing, fornication. Get married as a if you if you are burning, you have a lustful spirit on you, you desire that thing, do it the right way. Take the proper steps, become a husband, and do it the right way. Give me that. Colossians 3 and 5. [Music] And then after this we're gonna go back to that picture. Colossians chapter 3 and verse 5. Come on. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth. So more the word mortify means to kill. The scriptures say we must kill our members that are on earth. We must kill those things that's constantly affecting us. Read fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection. In ordinate affection is improper sexual desires. Some some brothers and sisters deal with that. You have to kill those things. Read evil concupisence and covetousness which is idolatry. which is idolatry. Pull back up the picture. So these is those are just certain lust of the flesh. Let's get some more. Start from the top. Yeah, you can start back from the top. The lust of the flesh refers to the Hey, excuse me. Y'all a little bit too loud back there. Y'all throwing me off. Edra. Edra. Y'all throwing me off, man. Go ahead. The lust of the flesh refers to desires that stem from our sinful nature, often leading to actions that are contrary to God's will. Examples include sexual immorality. Come on. Adultery, fornication, impurity, sensuality. Sensuality. Yep. Idolatry. Idolatry. See all these are lust of the flesh. Sensuality meaning emotional. You being emotional like it says in the book of Jude. Get that. Damn it. Get that Jude. Sensuality. This is a lust of the flesh. So when you find brothers and sisters having this type of spirit on them, they dealing with the lust of the flesh. Read that. Jude verse 19. Come on. These be they who separate themselves sensual having not the spirit. So they don't have the spirit of Christ. They have that sensual spirit that emotional effeminate spirit. You see that a lot of times in the truth you are you a brother who was fervent in spirit zelious all of a sudden he starts to disappear. You know he used to sit in the front now you see he's sitting in the back now he's missing Sabbath. His he's emotional. And generally brothers take on this spirit whenever they get corrected. That is also a lust of the flesh. Come on, read the next one. Examples include sexual immorality, adultery, fornication, impurity, sensuality, idolatry. Idolatry. Some of y'all y'all kids are your idol. Some of y'all parents are your idol. Some of y'all y'all spouse are your idol. Your spouse tells you, "Let's smoke cocaine together." And the sister gonna ask, "Should should I smoke the cocaine? Should I honor my husband and smoke the cocaine?" Sis, s get the hell out of my face. What are you talking about? Y'all think I y'all think I'm making stuff up, but some people that they idol is their significant other. Read the next one. Sorcery. Sorcery. Read and substance abuse. Sorcery and substance abuse go hand in hand because substance abuse is a form of sorcery. Those that's why it's called pharmaceuticals. It comes from a word pharmarmacia which goes back to witchcraft. The mixing of potions po even the word drug itself means potion. That's a form of sorcery. Sub that's a form of lust of the flesh. You desire marijuana, tobacco. Uh, give me some other ones. You smoke crack, don't you? You know, you you desire these. Your flesh desires these things. Reed sorcery and substance abuse like drunkenness and orgies. Whoa, that's crazy. Drunkenness or orgies. Now, which that goes that goes together. Give me that. What is that? Corinthians. It's Corinthians. I got to find it. Where it says like some of you, this is for example, that you shouldn't fornicate. Where it say they got up to play. You know what I'm talking about? You know what I'm talking about? Anybody? Nobody know what I'm talking about. It's in Corinthians where it's talking about the wilderness. I gotta find that now because that just uh 1 Corinthians 10. Pull that back up. I can read that one more time. F. So it says examples include sexual immorality, adultery, fornication, impurities, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, and substance abuse like drunkenness and orgies. Now, a lot of people think, "Oh, that's not in the Bible." Let's see. Start at verse 6. 1 Corinthians 10:6. 1 Corinthians chapter 10 and verse 6. Now these things were our examples to the intent we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted. So we should not lust after the things of the flesh like our ancestors did. Let's see some of these sins our ancestors was caught up in. Neither be idoltors. Idolattors. They was worshiping golden calves. Like today you a lot of brothers and sisters is caught up in Christianity. Bowing down to the cross kissing the white man's feet. You got to come out of that. Kissing walking around a cobblestone 20 times and kissing a dirty rock. You got to come out of that. That's idolatry. Reed. Neither be idoltors as were some of them. As it is written, the people sat down to eat and drink. So when it's referring to they sat down to eat and drink, they party. They had a party to these various idols. Like for example, you got Halloween parties. That's a party that's similar to right now. They have a party to a certain idol. They have Christmas parties. They have a party to this idol. And at these parties, they drink. They they may even have certain drinks dedicated to the idol. Oh, this is eggnog. This is the eggnog Christmas drink. And then what h a lot of times will come after that? They what the people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play. The rose up to play is going into the orgies. That's is that's is what they're going into. These are all lust of the flesh that a lot of people are caught up even right now. They sit amongst us and they caught up with that thing. They caught up with idolatry, drunkenness, uh sexual immoralities. Read verse 8. Neither let us commit fornication as some of them committed and fail in one day three and 20,000. So this is not a new thing that you see. There's a lot of empired in uh sexual immoralities in the earth. But this is not a new thing. It's just now increasing. It is hitting a alltime high. Like the scriptures say, Eve wickedness shall increase. But us as Israelites, we got to forsake those things completely. And if you doing it secretly, you need to confess that thing and stop it immediately. Go to the next part. Oh, read that part at the bottom. Come on. It also encompasses other sinful behaviors like immnity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, robberies, dissentance, and envy. So that's a spirit a lot of brothers have when they have that spirit of lust of the flesh, that worldly spirit. A lot of brothers who come out of sports, they have that spirit where they always want to oneup brothers. They want to get they want to uh be promoted before their peers. They want to that spirit should not be so in our amongst us as well. Now the drunken and smoking spirit. Let's deal with that. 1 Corinthians 3 and verse 16. Let's start with there because there's a lot of brothers and sisters. Was it another uh card that went along with that one? That's what the next one say. Lust of the eyes. It wasn't another one for lust of the flesh. A second card. Pull that up. Yeah. Yeah. No, this is No, that says lust of the eyes. That's the next one. All right. We still on lust of the flesh. So, another lust of the flesh is the smoking. Smoking and drunkenness. Right. Let's get to that one. You read what you got? First Corinthians chapter 3 and verse 16. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God. Now, this is commonly read amongst us that we are to know that we the temple of God. But a lot of people don't realize how deep this thing go because we are all of the body of Christ. Every single one of us are a part of the body of Christ. So when you decide to defile your body and come amongst us, the body of Christ, you don't realize how the the level of evil that you are doing by doing it. So read what you got. 1 Corinthians chapter 3 and verse 16. Come on. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God by smoking, by you having that secrecy, you you secretly you go get you a pack of Newport Hundreds in the box long every morning and you smoking those cigarettes every morning secretly or you going to get uh some black and Miles some black and purple black and Miles every morning. Every morning you smoking a Swiss or sweet. This is all old stuff. I don't even know if they still sell this stuff. But every morning you smoking these things because you and you don't want to confess. But meanwhile, you come amongst the brothers and you try to act like, "Oh, I'm soldier such and such." Oh, brother. What's that precept? You know that precept, brother? You don't know this precept, brother. Meanwhile, you smoking cigarettes, defiling your temple. Read. If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy. him shall God destroy. So a lot of times we read this on the streets to brothers and sisters who might be smoking, but it applies to us in here as well. Because a lot of brothers and sisters, they still deal with that thing. But the problem is cuz I I'm'll be honest. When I first came in, I smoked cigarettes. I smoked weed, you know. But you know what I did? I went to the brothers who was here before me. I confessed that thing. I need help beating this. It's hard for me to stop. It's hard for me to stop smoking this stuff. And you know, I had to be around the brothers all the time so that I could get rid of that spirit. Ultimately, I stopped and he picked up a cigarette in 10 years. All praise to the most high. But for those who dealing with that, you got to confess your faults. Come forth to your go to your leadership. Let them know I'm dealing with this thing is I got this on my back. I'm trying to get rid of it and I need your help. Freedom. If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy. Let's go to uh Titus 2:16. Titus 2:16. And let me look at all the pictures that I sent y'all. Did I send y'all? Um I might not even send y'all the one where it said intoxication. I don't think I did. Oh, yeah, I did. The pull up the one that says drunkenness. It says while the term drunkenness, that word right there, and you get uh Ephesians 5:18, why they look for that? Y'all got it? All right. Oh, it's kind of big. Was it that big? Yeah, there we go. Can you read it? While the term drunkenness is typically associated with the effects of alcohol, especially the disinhibition and loss of control associated with being drunk, smoking cigarettes and consuming nicotine can be understood within a broader concept of intoxication. So, it's the same type of spirit, that drunkenness spirit that desire to be to alter your consciousness. Right? Read on. Here's why. Changes in consciousness and mood. Nicotine, the main addictive substance in cigarettes, can cause transient changes in consciousness and mood, including alertness and improved concentration at lower doses and even reported feelings of mild euphoria or a buzz in some individuals, particularly with newer vaping devices like Juul L. So that's a lot of times who people who smoke those cigarettes, smoke those cigars, they chasing that euphoria. They're chasing that that small buzz that they get that from nicotine. So that is a form of drunkenness that you got to forsake. Give me that. Ephesians 5. Ephesians chapter 5 and verse 18. Come on. And be not drunk with wine wherein is excess, but be filled with the spirit. So not only is that cigarette thing, but actual liquor. A lot of brothers and sisters have alcohol problems. If you have if you are an alcohol a non-alcoholic maybe it's best for you to never drink. For some people it's best for them to never drink. Like in the scriptures you read about Hold on. I got to find it. Uh hold on. I got to find this scripture. Give me. No. No. That ain't it. Is a family. They took a vow not to drink. Y'all know what I'm talking about? Nobody know. It shouldn't be Jeremiah at all. No, no, no, no, no, no. Not X. I know what you're talking about, but not that. It should be in Was it Jeremiah? Yeah, Jeremiah 35. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, he was right. Hold on. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Jeremiah 35. Jeremiah chapter 35 and we going to read verse verse 5. The book of Jeremiah chapter 35 and verse 5. And I set before the sons of the house of the recites pots full of wine and cups. And I said unto them, drink ye wine. But they said, "We will drink no wine. For Jonadab, the son of Rakab, our father, commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, neither ye nor your sons forever." So this family, they they made a whole commitment that they would not drink wine forever. Some brothers and sisters, they need to take that on their spirit because they are alcoholics. They don't need no wine at all. Well, they don't need no no strong drink at all. Why? Because once they take one drink, it turn into three drinks, it turn to four drinks, and it turn into a week long of binging on drinking. Some people have those problems. If you have that problem, you might have to take on this the the mindset of no drinking at all. Why? Because that's a lust of your flesh that will ultimately destroy you if you can't conquer it. Give me that. First Corinthians. No, give me uh Galatians 5:21. Back to those lust of the flesh. Back to the lust of the flesh. And then we going to get the next one. The lust of the eyes. Read what you got. Yep. 21. Galatians chapter 5 and verse 21. Come on. Envyings, murders, drunkenness. What? Drunkenness. This is This is another lust of the flesh. Drunkenness. Read. rellings and such like of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. These type of people not going to get the kingdom of God. So if you have a underlying issue with marijuana, cigarettes, alcohol, you should go to your leadership and get counsel. Get counsel immediately. Don't hide it. Don't be around months. Let let don't let months go by, then years go by, and then we look up and now the Lord has brought judgment upon you because you could not forsake your sins. Now go back to 1 John 2:15. 1 John chapter 2 and verse 15. Come on. Love not the world, neither of the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the father is not in him. Come on. for all that is in the world. The lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes. The lust of the eyes. Pull up that uh image on the lust of the eyes. I see exactly what that's going into. The lust of the eyes. Can you read that? Lust of the eyes refers to the sinful desire for things we see, particularly material possessions or appearances that are not ours or are persuaded for selfish reasons. Examples include coveting a neighbor's house, car, or other possessions. It also includes gazing at someone with sexual desire or being captivated by outward displays of wealth and status. Ultimately, it's about prioritizing physical things and appearances over spiritual well-being. Exactly. So now, coveting of the eyes is going I mean the lust of the eyes pertains to covetousness. So let's see exactly what covetousness is. Give me that in Romans 7:7 and see how what I mean where it say covetousness is the lust of the eyes. Let's see. Romans chapter 7 and verse 7. What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin but by the law. For I had not known lust, except the law has said, "Thou shalt not covet." So what is lust? Lust is coveting with things that you see with your eyes. This is another thing that will keep you out of the kingdom. Why? 1 Corinthians 6 and9. 1 Corinthians 6:9. 1 Corinthians chapter 6 and verse 9. Come on. Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Be not deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolattors, nor adulterers, nor epheminite, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. Come on. Nor thieves, nor covetousness. Nor covetforeters. Read. Nor drunkards. Nor drunkards. Read. Nor Rivalers. Revers. Revilers. Yeah. Nor extortioners. Read that part again. Nor thieves. Nor covetousness. Nor druckers. Nor revilers. Nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God. Come on. And such were some of you. Now, a lot of us came out of those lifestyles in which we coveted everything we desired. We was drunkards, fornicators. This why he said, "Such were some of you." But but ye are washed. But ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus. Now that we are in Christ, we can no longer partake in those things because we've been clean by Christ sacrifice. Now, covetes, another form of covetes that a lot of brothers and sisters partake in is pornography. Pornography, the lust of the eyes. Give me that. And Matthew chapter 5 verse 27. Matthew 5 and 27. Because this is a big one in Israel, pornography. Because a lot of times a lot of fornication and sexual sins, it stems from brothers and sisters watching that pornography and then eventually the pornography is not enough and then they go seek out the real thing. Uh but God is telling you plainly in this scripture that that pornography is a sin. Read what you got. Matthew 5 and verse 27. Come on. Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, thou shalt not commit adultery. But I say unto you that whosoever lookth on a woman to lust after her, you look at a woman to lust out of her, right? That is your pornography. That is when you on the street and you see uh big booty Judy and you you do not turn your eye. Read that whosoever lookth on a woman to lust after her, hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Uh-huh. And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out. Now give me Job. Give me Job. Give me Job. Because pornography is a big one. That that that lust of the that lust of the eye. And a lot of brothers hide that thing. Why are they embarrassed? They don't want to admit that they at home. Uh, somebody give me some nice things to say. What he said? Digging up the shovel. What he say? Five knuckle shuffle. Oh, five knuckle shuffle. I never heard that one before. That's an old one right there. That's why you can keep the older brothers around. I ain't never heard that one. Five knuckle shuffle. Shuffle. Five knuckle shuffle. you at the house and you are uh you can't stop playing the banjo. You know, you can't stop uh I don't know. Give me something else. Come on, reader. Help me out. Pull. I'm in a dark place. Read the scripture. Read this. Read the scripture. Read Job chapter 31 and verse one. Read. I made a covenant with mine eyes. As men of the Lord, as women of the Lord, we have to make a covenant with our eyes. We have to decide sincerely if we going to do what thus sayeth the Lord or we going to follow the the lust of the eye. You got to make an agreement with your eyes. I'm not going to watch the pornography. When big boo when I see something that is appealing to my eye cuz you got to be realistic. Nowadays when we walking around a lot of women they walk around no clothes on. You know they got these tight spandex what they call that? Lululemon whatever that is. They they wearing these tight clothing and they walking around and as men we are attracted to that thing. You are in innately attracted to women. You I hope but you are innately attracted to women. When you see that thing and you know that deep down you have not conquered that sin. It is it behooves you to turn your eye immediately. Immediately. I remember when I first came in, I want to say it was Deacon Asaf. He he he he gave me the the 3-second rule. I think it was 3 seconds. Yeah. You look you that's when you look the first second you notice oh this woman there. The second second you got to turn your eye immediately. Don't let it get to three seconds and you looking at this woman and don't go back for the double look for the because that's where brothers go off where you go you see it and you look away. Oh no. And then you go Uh don't go back for the double look. You got to make a covenant with your eyes cuz it start with controlling your eyes on the dayto day. Because if you can't control your eyes on the dayto- day when you get home and you by yourself, nothing stopping you from turning on the internet and unlocking pornography. Cuz right now on this phone right now, you can you can look up any type of deviant thing that you want to see. Any type of deviant lust that you have is right here and accessible on your phone. You have to you have to come you have to make a covenant with your eyes. You have to discipline to yourself to say I'm not going into that. I'm not going down that rabbit hole. Pause. Read what you got. Job chapter 31 and verse one. Come on. I made a covenant with mine eyes. Why then should I think upon a maid? That's how you got to put your mindset to the point where you say, "I don't even want to think about no wicked wicked woman." You feel what I'm saying? Give me that in uh I want to say it's Psalms 111. Let me look at it. Psalms 111. No, 110. Psalms 110 and verse five. No, that ain't it. Psalms. Hold on, let me find it. Psalms 105 and 10. Is that it? Let me look. No, 101. Psalms 101 and start at verse two. Psalms 101 and verse two. So this is the covenant that you got to make with your eyes that you got to make with your mind. Read. I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. And when wilt thou come unto me? Oh, when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. You got to decide in your own mind. When I'm walking in my house, I'mma walk in a perfect heart. I'm not going to turn to pornography. I'm not going to turn to these evil lusts. Read verse three. I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes. I will do what? I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes. I hate the work of them that turn aside. It shall not cleave to me. You have to start to hate those different things that you see when you see because you got to think when you see harlotry, you should have a deep hatred for that because God says our women there should be no [ __ ] of the daughters of Israel. You have to develop a hatred for iniquity that keep so strong to the point where you do not go into that lust of the eye. You do not go into those sins of pornography. These are things you have to develop. Give me first Timothy 2 and 21 might be second Timothy. Make sure 1 Timothy 2. Yeah. Second Timothy or Yeah. Yeah. Second Timothy 2 and 21. Second Timothy chapter 2 and verse 21. Come on. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meat for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. Read. Flee also youthful lust. Flee youthful lust. The sin of pornography is a youthful lust. as grown men that shouldn't be named them. Grown men should be to the point where if they have that spirit on them to where they start to desire sex. A man would say, "Okay, it's time for me to get married. It's time for me to court a sister properly and see if she's right to be my wife." That's what a man would do. Read on. Flee also youthful lust, but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. And the only way that you can do that is if you decide that I'm not going to put no wicked thing before my eyes. That's what you got to do. Now, let's jump up to the pride of life. First John, go back to First John 2:16. Read that one more time. First John chapter 2 and verse 16. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. The pride of life. Pull up that image on pride of life. Pride of life refers to excessive pride or arrogance stemming from worldly achievements, possessions, or status. Now, that's a heavy thing because a lot of brothers deal with that. A lot of brothers, they come in with these worldly accomplishments. Oh, I have a degree in such and such. I am I am a business owner and I am uh I am they have a high inflated sense of purpose. Uh what is it what that word arrogance high inflated sense of arrogant through their worldly possessions. Some people develop this even in the truth brothers they become arrogant because of the works that they may have comm they may have done over years over the time period they start to look down on brothers we not to be that way that's the pride of life we going to it's a moral pride of life but we going to start there the arrogancy give me Romans 12:3 Romans 12 and verse three come on for I say through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think. And when we in Christ, when we come into this truth, you got to realize we is nothing. We is nothing, especially in comparison to Christ. That's who we supposed to be measuring up to. Christ himself, we supposed to be walking emblems of Christ. If no one on earth is yet is yet there yet, no one is perfect. Therefore, it's nothing. No, none of us should be to the point where we so prideful that we think we better than others. Read that one more time. For I say through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Everybody got a different measure of faith. Everybody got a different measure of faith that they given. Everybody got a different job they given in the body. Don't think because you have one job and another brother has another job that you somehow better than him. Or don't think because your faith may be a little stronger than another brothers that somehow now you are better than him. No, we are all one body in Christ. We is not to look down on brothers because they might not know as many scriptures as us because they might not have the same rank as us. We is not to look down on brothers because of that. Is it more on that? Pull that back up. Let's read the rest. Pride of life refers to excessive pride or arrogance stemming from worldly achievements, possessions or status. It involves a focus on self-importance, a desire to be seen as superior, and a tendency to boast about one's life and accomplishment. You see this a lot of brothers. It's like, damn, this brother always talk about himself every time he come around. Oh, did you see my video? Did you see I did this? Did you see I did this? Oh, bro, I was doing this. Bro, you don't notice nobody else got stuff they did. He brothers always, you got to watch brothers who always talking about themsel. Read on. This concept is often contrasted with humility and is seen as a worldly value rather than a godly one. This is exact opposite to godly. He want the brother who always want a pat on the back. Okay, brother. All praises to the most high because ultimately we supposed to be. We are supposed to be uh unprofitable servants. That's what we supposed to be unprofitable servants in this truth. Not trying to get patted on the back. Hold that. Hold that up there. We come back to that. Give me Galatians 6 and3. Oh, I am the grand poo, brother. I got a degree in uh I got a degree in getting degrees. Read that. What you got? Galatians chapter 6 and verse three. Uhhuh. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. A lot of people have deceived himself. You deceived yourself into thinking you was something more than you are. Until we sealed and we selected to be 144, we should be just striving to be like Christ. We should always tell ourselves these works I' I've done is not enough because that's what the scriptures say. Give me that. Is that uh Sarak 43 and30? Let me check it first. Sarak 43:30. That's it. Sarak 43 and verse 30. Come on. When you glorify the Lord, exalt him as much as he can. For even yet will he far exceed. And when you exalt him, put forth all your strength. So when you doing works in his truth, you got to put forth all your strength. You got to do it. Go as hard as you possibly can. Read and be not weary for ye can never go far enough. It's nothing that you can do where somebody should be like, "Oh, that was good. That's enough." No, you got to do more. You got, "Oh, I did this." No, you got to do more. I remember I met a I was at the waters and Gatorades. I'm like, "Bro, you ain't sold one water out here." He said, "Brother, oh, officer, back when I was on Seven Mile in Greenfield, man, I sold $400. This a new day. You got to do more. You can never go far enough. You got to continually go more." But some people have this. This is their secret sin that mentally they think they better than everybody in the room. They always think they the smartest. They always they they can't take correction because they the person who's corrected them is inferior to them. This is a sin that a lot of our brothers deal with. The pride of life. Oh, this brother can't tell me what to do. I make six figures. I'm I got uh two cars. I got six pitbulls. You know, brothers be thinking brothers be thinking they worldly they worldly items or material is gonna come and they gonna make them be something in this truth. That don't mean nothing. This is a spiritual walk. Come on, finish reading that for me at the top. Read uh where it say here's some examples. Here are some examples of the pride of life. Boasting about achievements, constantly talking about one's accomplishments, skills, or possessions to make oneself look superior. Come on. I know some brothers like that. Seeking validation and attention. craving admiration and praise from others often for superficial things like appearance or status. I know brothers like that. They want to throw a parade every time they did some work in this truth. You know, I need to uh I need everybody to sit down and praise me. I know brothers like that. Come on next. There's another one. Uh should be there. We go. desiring power and control, seeking positions of authority and influence not to serve others but to enhance one's own ego. And that's a heavy thing that we see in this truth. A lot of brothers, they come in and when you come in, you found out you was an Israelite. You didn't know nothing about the ranking system. I remember when I first came in, I thought one brother name was soldier. I thought that was his name. I'm like, oh. Then they called another brother soldier. I said, I thought that was soldier. Like, no, that's that's the ranking. Then they then I was instructed. I learned about the rank. I said, "Oh, that's they they showed me that it's in the Bible. That's a righteous thing." But what I've noticed after being here for some so many years, some people they desire to rank not to serve others, but to enhance their own ego. But brothers who move up in the rank year after year after year, but they got secret sins that they don't want to tell nobody about. They never acknowledge. They just doing this for ego. Oh, I want to be an officer of 10. I want to be officer of 20. I want to be an officer of 50. Meanwhile, they got sins that they have not corrected. Blatant sins of the eyes, sins of the lust, but they seeking position. That's just to enhance their own ego. Read the next one. Comparing oneself to others, constantly measuring one's worth by comparing achievements, possessions, or status to those of others. It It's a scripture. What is that? 1 Corinthians 12 where it say some compare themselves to themselves. You know what I'm talking about? Who got that? I think it's 1 Corinthians 12. 12. Is it 11? That ain't it? Is it 2 Corinthians? 10 and 12. 2 Corinthians 10 and 12. Yeah, there we go. 2 Corinthians chapter 10 and verse 12. Come on. For we dare not make ourselves of the number or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves. So it's some people that commend themselves. They always talking about the stuff that they did. They can't they can't see the works that nobody else around them is doing. They always got to commend themselves. Well, I did this and I did that and I did this. They can't see nobody else's work. Read by the measuring themselves by themselves and comparing themselves among themselves are not wise. They not wise. Why? Because you should be comparing yourself and looking at yourself to the leadership you have. None of us here have done as much work as the bishops. You can't tell me you did more work than the bishops. I'mma look at you crazy. I might find something to throw at you. No, I won't do that. But none of us even and then even as much work as the bishops did, they still haven't did as much as Christ himself. So we it would be foolish for any of us to compare ourselves to each other. Oh, I did more than you. I did more than you. No, we are trying to live up to the measure of Christ who laid down his life for the nation of Israel. That's right. That's what we trying to ultimately do. So for you to have that spirit where you comparing yourself, oh well I did this. A lot of brothers do that around time when uh brothers is going to get promoted. Oh well I I did I went to camp for 30 days. He only went to camp for 20 days. Oh well I I got six officers. He got four officers. I you know I gave 200 in arms every week. Brother, you I only seen you give $20 every week. The brothers do that secretly and mentally in their mind and then when they don't get promoted or when or when they do get promoted it's just to enhance their own ego. They don't do they don't serve others they just want to enhance their own ego. Read on that that one up there. Not the spiritual pride feeling superior to others in terms of religious knowledge, piety or righteousness. Now, that's a heavy one right there. Those are our precept brothers. Brothers who learn all the precepts. I got the precept to that. I got the precept to this. I got the pre, bro. I got a precept for fingernails. I got Bro, I got a precept for washing your ears, brother. I got I got a I got a precept. They always got a precept. And they think because they know all the precepts that somehow that precept equals experience. That pre that that pre all those precepts equals wisdom. That's a spiritual pride. Feeling superior to others in terms of religious knowledge. Those are the precept brothers right there. And that is the pride of life. Give me that. And uh Proverbs 26 and 12. Proverbs 26 and 12. We about to wrap it up. I've been going for a little minute here. Come on. Proverbs chapter 26 and verse 12. Come on. Seeest thou a man wise in his own conceit. There is more hope of a fool than of him. The scriptures say it's a more hope for a fool than a man who's wise in his own conceit. Cuz this type of brother you can't tell anything. This the type of brother when you say, "Brother, you know you shouldn't be doing that." He say, "What? What? Can you give me a scripture for that?" That's the type of brother who when you go to correct him, he need you got to have five precepts because he's so wise in his own conceit. You can't tell him nothing. It's more hope for a fool because a fool going to be like, you know what, I am a fool. I need to change. But this this prideful, arrogant brother, he not he is more hopeful a fool than him. Why? Because he think he's better than you. So you can't tell him nothing. He think he should be above you. He should be ranked higher than you. So you can't tell him nothing. Give me Sarak 7 and verse four. Yeah. Four. Sarak chapter 7 and verse four. Seek not of the Lord preeminence, neither of the king the seat of honor. So it's not for us to be seeking preeminence. A lot of brothers come in and they want to be the head honcho. They want to be the hnic. A lot of brothers instead of helping the uh want to help the king, they want to overthrow the king. Instead of want to help the prophet, they want to prophesy against him. This is the spirit that they got because they they want to be in charge. They have that pride of life. Read on verse five. Justify not thyself before the Lord, and boast not of thy wisdom before the king. Don't boast of thy wisdom. Oh, I know this. I already know that. You hear that a lot, bro? I already know that. When I hear brothers say that, they already know something. All right. I don't want to. Get away from me. Talk to talk to Nehemiah. Get away from me for real. Read them. Verse six, seek not to be judged, being not able to take away iniquity. So, the scripture say, seek not to be judged. And that's not saying you're not supposed to study the Bible, apply the Bible, so that in time you be prepared to be a leader. You're not supposed to be doing things to try to overthrow the judge who's sitting there. A lot of brothers do that. They they try to make the judge that's sitting there look bad so that they could be the judge because that's what they want to do. They want to be they want to be the head honcho. Come on. seek not to be judged, being not able to take away iniquity. Now, being not able to take away iniquity is what we read earlier when it said they seek promotion and val and and uh the seed of authority not to serve but for their own how what was the word they use? Ego. Yeah. Their to inflate their own ego. So they not looking to be the king because they to make things to serve the people. That's the point. They not looking to serve the people. They looking to be the king so they can in uh use the say the word again. Enhance their own ego. Yeah. Yeah. That brother that brother. They all praise to the most high. All right. Go to Is that more on that? Did you read seven? Yeah. Read seven. No, six. You read six, right? All right, finish it out. Sarakap 7 and verse 6. Come on. Seek not to be judged, being not able to take away iniquity, lest at any time thou fear the person of the mighty, and lay stumbling block in the way of thy uprightness.
