Hello my friends. In this video, we're going to talk about all the secrets of 2025 Bowman baseball cards. In the first part of the video, we're going to discuss the overview of the product and I'm going to talk about some of the secrets of the release that you might not know. I'm going to talk about the different formats and where you can buy them. I'm going to share the resources that I use that'll help you make a better decision about your purchase. We're going to talk about some of the top prospects that you can chase and where you can find the information. I'm going to share with you my value sheet so you can find what format has the cards you're looking for at the best price. and we're going to talk about the production numbers so that you know some of the numbers, some of the secret numbers and where to find this information of some of the rare inserts and parallels that you're looking to chase. First of all, what is Bowman and why is it so collectible? This is one of the most collectible products of baseball cards that exist. Bowman is super collectible because it carries a person's first Bowman card. It has a little first insignia right here in the corner. You can see it. The chrome is outlined in blue and the paper is outlined in red. Chrome's about twice as collectible as the paper versions. There's 150 different prospects to collect. The checklist consists of 150 paper prospects, 150 chrome prospects, and 100 stars and rookies. As you can see here, one of the main chase players is Charlie Condan of the Rockies, and he was the third overall pick in the 2024 draft. Some of the most collectible cards you can get of a player, if not the most collectible card, is the Bowman first autograph, and that's the main chase of this release. One of the things you might not know about is Retrofaractors. They started doing Retrofactor several releases ago and it gives uh Hall of Fame players their official first Bowman card. This year it's Steve Carlton and Brooks Robinson. And Steve Carlton actually has Bowman first autographs. Brooks Robinson passed away. He does not have autographs in here, but he does have first cards and they are collectible. There are hobby boxes, jumbo boxes, blaster boxes, and Breakers Delight boxes. Hobbies have one autograph. Jumbos have three autographs. Breakers Delights have three autographs. And Blaster Boxes, the retailed version, do not have a guaranteed autograph. And they have another additional checklist for autographs that are on paper and have a sticker autograph. I usually go to becket.com to check out the checklist. This first checklist is rookies and stars. And a little secret, if you're on a desktop, you can type CtrlFRC and it'll highlight all the rookies, so you can quickly go through and just spot if the rookies you're looking for are in this release. Another good resource is tops ripped and there's three different categories here that you can look at. There's how to collect the 2025 BA Bowman baseball rookies. There's how to collect the firsts and the Bowman anime. First of all, let's look at the top rookies. Some of the guys we're looking for Kobe Mayo, Jackson, Job, Jace Young, Kevin Alcantara, Hesong, Kim, Sasaki, Jacob Wilson, Dylan Cruz, James Wood, Luis Anelkuna, and more. And each one of these has a little write up about the player just to get yourself accustomed to some of them if you don't know who they are. Next up, we're going to talk about the first. I already touched on this a bit, but we're looking for this first insignia up in the top right corner. And some of the top players are Charlie Condan, JJ Weatherhole, Jesus Mate, PJ Mando, Eduardo Cano, Slade Caldwell. Let's not forget about Kevin McGonagal, a Tigers favorite. I recommend going to Baseball America to find out all the info you could ever imagine for the top prospects in the league. The anime cards are super collectible. This is a rare insert and it draws its inspiration from the 1955 classic Bowman design with the old uh the old TV in the background. It's a 30 card checklist and it's all just the best superstars and best prospects in the league. There's also a kanji variation and these are super rare and super collectible. We've got a new insert this year called crystallized and it looks amazing. Here's the design for crystallized. It looks amazing and the checklist is phenomenal as well. The etched in glass variation is back. These are super rare, super collectible and it's just the best prospects and rookies. This is a Sasaki etched in glass preview pick. This is a new insert this year too. It's the very important prospects. Also, this is what the anime insert looks like. Looks really cool. This year, we've got a much wider variety of Xfractor parallels this year. That's one of the things they've added. Blue Xractors, black Xfractors, red, etc. There's a picture of the Jackson job rookie auto. Rookie autos are tough to come by in Bowman. They're a tough pull. Mostly you get prospect autos. Breakers delight boxes aren't only available to breakers. You can buy those on such websites as Blowout, Steel City, David Adams, the big distributor. So, if you do want a Breakers Delight box, you can get them. They are quite a bit different this year. You get two chrome prospects, one base red rookie variation, which we'll talk about in just a minute. Three numbered geometrics. This is the geometric design, three autographs, and one insert. They've got a brand new feature this year. It's called the Red Rookie Redemption Program, and I'll let Topps tell you a little bit about it right here. 25 Bowman baseball is packing an exciting new way to collect Bowman. Introducing the Bowman Red rookie redemption. Here's how it works. The key is to look out for these new red RC logos. They'll be stamped on a limited number of rookie refractors and then randomly inserted into all Bowman products. Once the Rookie of the Year winners are announced, collectors holding that player's red RC will have a limited time to redeem their card for $100 in Fanatic's fan cash should they choose to. Each collector can decide to trade in their red RC or hold it because once your red RC wins rookie of the year, you unlock additional reward possibilities as that player's career develops. If that rookie of the year goes on to win either an MVP or Sai Young award, the card can be redeemed for $300 in Fanatic's fan cash. Two MVPs are Sai Youngs and it goes to $500. Three MVPs or SI Youngs and we're talking $700 in fan cash. And if your red RC goes on to the Hall of Fame, $1,000 in fan cash. And I have no idea how hard they are to pull. They are not on the odds checklist from what I could see. The only place I can see that you get one of these is in a Breakers Delight box. You get one base rookie red variation. We're going to talk about some of the top prospects. And the best place you can go to find out the stats for the prospects that are in each individual Bowman product is prospectlist.com. My buddy Cubby made this website. It's free to use. prospectlist.com. Give him a little donation. He does this for free and all the donations help him keep up with all this data. But basically, there's a lot of different ways that you can go through and sort information. You can go to the homepage here and you see they have different releases. So there's Bowman, Bowman Chrome, Bowman Draft. You can look at hitters or pitchers. I like to go look at the hitters. So we go to hitters and as you can see here, there's a lot of different stats to sort by. One of the best ways you can sort is by the team rank. The top few players are the top prospects. Just so happens JJ Weatherholt number one in the St. Louis pipeline. Jesus Mday is number one in the Milwaukee pipeline. So these two players are going to be two of the most collectibles. And Mate is only 18 years old. You can look at the age differential over here. And you can sort by age differential too to see like who the who the uh the young younger studs are based on what level they're performing at. You can sort by age to see who the youngest. These now these are all prospects that have their firsts in this Bowman release. You can sort by OPS. That's a good one to see how how good they're doing. And you can also see how many at bats they have, too. Like uh Kevin McGonagal only has five at bats thus far, but his OPS is by far the best. He's only 20 years old. Slade Caldwell, another one of the top prospects. He's only 19 years old and he's got a 1 OPS. You can also scroll over and just all of the information you've ever imagined like Babip. You can look at their Babip and see are they getting lucky or are they good? And Baseball America's top 100 prospects is a must. Now, let's check out the value sheet. This is the part that a lot of people are waiting for. So, what I do is I take the different formats. One of the main places to buy sealed wax is blowout. I just like to go here to get a price of uh the the most current retail price. And it looks like Breakers Delight boxes are about 620. Hobby boxes 325 and jumbo boxes 625. So if we go over here to the value sheet, plugged all those numbers in, shout out Cubby. Cubby put this all together and all this information is going to be available if you're a member of my Patreon group. If you're a slammer, join the slammer tier and that's also how you get in on breaks. I'm going to put a copy of these value sheet spreadsheets and you can check them out anytime you want. There's a link in the description below to join my Patreon, become a slammer. While we're at it, hook me up with a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you're new. greatly appreciate it. If you want to support what I do and you want more of it, become a slammer on Patreon. That's where you join the breaks as well. We're starting up at the top. This top row here is the price per. So, we got hobbies, jumbos, breakers, and blasters. Green is good, red is bad. So, this first tab is just veterans and rookies. These are the parallels that you can get. And you can see that the blaster box is by far the best format to pull parallels of rookies and veterans. It works out to be about $195 per parallel prospects as well. You can see that uh blaster boxes absolutely crush, but hobby boxes are the second best and then jumbos. You really don't buy jumbo boxes to chase individual parallels or things like that. You buy jumbo boxes cuz it has three guaranteed autographs. But these are just the paper prospects. And we've got chrome prospects over here. And the chrome prospects once again blaster boxes are really good. Fuchsia wave refractors are the best. And aqua xfrators and aqua shimmers are the best out of hobby boxes. And there's also a few more. Actually, a supertor is a better pull at the current pricing out of a hobby box as well. Go down to the bottom and you'll see that the chrome prospect parallels. It's about $25 per chrome prospect parallel out of a blaster box. And it's not too bad out of a hobby either. 56.94. And now we're breaking down all autographs. These are divided all autographs, chrome autographs, and paper autographs. The paper are only available in these blaster boxes. So, we're just going to go to the all autograph. And of course, this is why you get a jumbo box. Just talked about it. you get a jumbo box because it's the best dollar per auto and it's not particularly close over here. The green grass refractor and the yellow refrator are those are some of the only autographs that you can get out of the retail format, the blaster format and they are very good to pull. These are like let's look at the number 49 let's say about $5,000 for a green grass and they're numbered to 99. You can only get the greens to 99 out of the blaster format. So, we we don't really have an apples to apples to compare it to, but we could go to a blue. And a blue is numbered out of 150. And those are about that's pretty close. $4,700. So, it's about the same amount to pull a green, which is lower numbered out of a blaster as it is out of a jumbo to pull a blue XR. And we scroll down to the bottom. And if you combine the paper autographs that have a sticker on them with the chrome autographs, it's still the best way to go to pull any autograph in general out of a blaster box at 18257. The next best it's actually pretty close. 21657 out of a jumbo. Now mind you, these are going to be higherend autographs. So if you're chasing autographs, if you're a prospector, you're going to want to go jumbo route. This is an interesting one. This is the rare inserts. And some of these rare in inserts are really valuable. So, we got to go into this a little bit deeper. Retrofarrator on top. So, the retrorefraractor is the best way to pull it is out of a blaster box as well as the retrofarrator parallel. You can only get the orange retrofarrator out of hobby boxes. And the superrator comes out of a hobby or a jumbo, but the slightly better way to pull it, I guess, is out of a hobby. Bowman spotlights. These are rare, too. Uh, these do not come out of retail. And the best way to pull these is out of a hobby box. Then we've got the anime. This is something that people are very interested in. Surprisingly, a really good way to pull animes is out of the blaster box. So, don't sleep on retail. Retail is always really good in Bowman and a majority of what I rip is retail. Now, that is just for the regular anime. If you want an anime parallel, which get really tough to pull, the best way dollar per is out of a Breakers Delight box. You can see all the green here. These are the parallels, black, red, and supertorractor. Now, down to the hobby stars. This is the best out of a blaster, and it's not particularly close. About 22 grand to pull one. and the next closest is 93,000. There's also these green parallels that you can only get out of the blaster format. You'll notice a familiar theme here, a lot of green on this right hand side for retail. And if you go down to the dollar per rare insert, it's about $500 out of a retail blaster format. And the next closest is three times as much out of a hobby box. I wanted to tell you briefly about the odds page. That's where we got all that information from. the odds page. You can go to TOPS, just type in 2025 Bowman pack odds and it'll pull up in a Google search, but you can look at all this information for yourself and you can find that there are a lot of things that only are available in certain formats. You can see right here, these are the geometrics. The geometrics are only found in the Breakers Delight boxes. Etched in Glass, which is a super collectible, it's technically an insert, but it's like a parallel, is not found in retail at all. So you got to go through hobby or jumbo or breakers delight to get those. Some more things that are not found in retail are crystallized. Crystalliz is a banger and you can only get these in the hobby and jumbo format and the reds are only available in hobby. And you can see here that most of the parallels for the chrome prospect autographs are not found in blaster boxes. You can get a base. You can get the green and the green shimmer, green grass, reptilian green and yellow, but most of the other ones are not available. That's why you got to go hobby and jumbo for the big boys. Also, the retrorefactor autographs not found in retail. Very important. Prospect autographs not found in retail. Hobby stars autos not in retail. But then this whole section right here are all the paper prospect retail autographs. Those are not very high-end and not very collectible. So that's the downside of retail. Finally, we're going to go to chasing majors.com. They've got production numbers for a lot of different things and we're going to see if we can't find the production numbers for a few of these inserts. Etched in Glass has a print run of about 160. So that means for each individual player, that's the print run. It's for each individual player. There's only 160 that exist. There's Bowman buyback autographs in here. And this is the checklist. Some of the big ones, the the biggest one probably Ichiro, but we've got a lot of Hall of Famers here. And there's only 30 of those that exist of each player. Now, this is an important one that a lot of people want to know about, the anime checklist. There are only about 200 of each anime player and the kanji super rare. There's only six of each of those. Bowman spotlights only 200 of each. Crystallized about 350 of each player. I hope you got some good information out of the video. If you liked it, hit that like button, subscribe to the channel. If you want to support what I do, there's a link in the description below to join my Patreon group. That's how you join in on the breaks. And I think you'll like the video right here. It's uh it's got information about all the different releases that you can look forward to. The best releases of the year for baseball cards.
