Test Duration

Structure of the Test

1. Part 1: Comparing Pictures

   • Compare two pictures
   • Answer two questions related to the topic
   • Time: 45 seconds for each question
   • Tip: Describe advantages and disadvantages
   • Practicing: Compare two different things (e.g., cities, houses)

2. Part 2: Abstract Questions

   • Answer three questions on an abstract topic
   • Preparation Time: 1 minute to prepare
   • Response Time: 2 minutes to speak
   • Tip: Speak in a clear and well-structured manner
   • Practicing: Speak for two minutes on abstract topics

3. Part 3: Balanced Argument

   • Speak on a given topic
   • Preparation Time: 1 minute
   • Response Time: 1.5 minutes to speak
   • Choose two items from "for" and "against" lists
   • Follow-up Question: Additional question requiring 45 seconds with no prep time
   • Tip: Structure your presentation, represent both sides of the argument
   • Practicing: Act as if speaking to an audience
