hello everybody Kelvin here and today I am doing a video on how we map physical devices to work with virtual devices in gns free now the topology you are looking at is the setup which I am going to be using today so I've got on the left hand side just here I have my edge router which I'll be using 192 168 0.1 and I also have a physical firewall which is sat in front of me now is in a SI 5 505 and the external interface of that will be used in 191 6a 0.2 and the internal interface will be using one 92168 1.1 and this is where when we're looking at the physical definite part of computer now this is my actual laptop this is where the cloud is going to be created so that we can integrate the physical side of the topology with the virtual side on this side so that network in the first card will be using wool dot 2 then the virtual switching gns free OB acting just as a pass-through and will update your client on the end which will be using one doll free so how we're gonna do this is we'll say all up configure the IP addresses real quick and then we will test connectivity simply by pinging I'll also show you how to set up the cloud 2 to get going so we shall jump into that mount so for time management I've pretty much just them already set these devices or power them on just so we're not waiting what we're gonna do is we're gonna add the cloud so as I said earlier this cloud is your networking the first card on your computer and we need to just simply drag the cloud in and we go to configure then we need to choose the the NIC which is you know touch to your computer so mine is Ethernet so we'll just go ahead impress apply them or care so I'm going to set this this is the physical computer now connecting to the virtual switch the physical side is right in front of me here so don't need to worry about outside yet so we'll go ahead and we'll connect that mount to the switch and there we go we've got green light so that's all well and good so what we'll do is the edge ruler is already configured so we'll start by configuring the physical firewall so we just jump on to put I think we're on kompot free then we show open there we go in the essay now so what we're gonna do real quick is compte and for anyone who's not configured in a essay before and you know do get mail will do a video on it if you are interested but for just for this video I will just be simply flying through the configurations for the 5 5 or 5 you can't just mop away a free address straight to the interface you do need to configure villains so we'll go to interface vlan1 which is gonna be the inside I'll just do my IP address because I think I got the IP address or not before there we go we'll go to interface and we are if there will I believe then we'll do before we do that go back into interface vlan1 set the IP address of unknown to 1 6 8 and I believe just checked that is 1.1 1.1 I was / 24 donar shut down now we'll jump into in the face if not zero one will do a switch power access VLAN 1 okay and we'll just quite lush again I think of already donut okay so now we'll go to in the first feel um to write the address again just in case I've got one more part not shut down come on apply the IP address which is good to know this is the external so this will be will nine two one six 80.2 this goes to the edge ruler then we shall apply that on Ethernet 0 so in the face Ethernet 0 0 and we'll do switch part access v12 sure and we'll just am not quickly and we'll do a few ping tests I'm going to ping the Gateway of the external which is 1 9001 6a 0.1 and never got successful so that external part in effect can get to the area now we'll do an internal ping but we've got one dot one right what we need to do is we need to configure this PC interface so open network sharing turned it up to settings it's just I think I've already done this but we'll just check so yep 1.2 so that's fine so go back to put it and we should be able to ping 191 6 a will not - there we go that's successful which is good now what we need to do is we the switches just acting as a path through so we're doing a configure alone that will jump straight to the Windows 7 computer so we'll get that up there we go so we need to go onto the adapter settings and we'll change that to static and we need to do 102 and 6 a 1.2 the free classy subnet get well they will know 2 1 6 a 1.1 which is the firewall internal interface and we'll go ahead and we shall or care that now to take test connectivity from the end client will go on command line and we shall pigma gateway unlike 2 1 6 8 1.1 and there we go getting pings there which is good so we know that that's working he'll jump straight back to the I said no ping 1 9 2 1 6 a 1.3 and there we go that's all configured now so that's pretty much how you map physical devices to virtual devices it's as simple as that if you do want in more detailed video please do get me if you want to know more about the cisco is a 5 5 or 5 do get me I will try get some videos in but thanks for watching that's it for now
