Tricks and Explanations

Coin Through Table

  • Effect: Coin goes through the table as it is rubbed.
  • Method: Use one coin. Rub the coin and drag it backward with the palm under cover. The coin falls off the edge of the table. Lift hand to show the coin has vanished.

Coin to Pen Lid

  • Effect: Coin disappears and reappears in the pen lid.
  • Method: Place coin in open hand. Tap pen lid on the coin three times, and on the third tap, toss the coin to the other hand while keeping the lid in the original hand. Reveal the coin inside the pen lid.

Coin Jumping Between Hands

  • Method: Toss the coin from one hand to the other during the motion of turning hands over. Practice this quickly to ensure it is not visible.

Coin Change

  • Effect: Coin changes visually to a different coin.
  • Method: Use two coins, one smaller than the other. Place the smaller coin behind the larger coin. Perform a snap change by flicking the smaller coin behind the larger coin into your hand.

Magnetic Coin Flip

  • Method: Use a magnetic coin and a magnet. Place the magnet on the wrist or under the table. The coin will flip when moved over the magnet.

Coin Popping Illusion

  • Effect: Coin jumps from hand to hand visually.
  • Method: Place coin in an open hand, cradle between all fingers. Move thumb and fingers quickly to make the coin disappear and reappear.

Coin Vanish and Reappear

  • Effect: Coin vanishes and is plucked out from the air.
  • Method: Place coin between first and middle finger. Simulate taking the coin with the other hand to make it vanish, then drop it back into the open hand.

French Drop Vanish

  • Effect: Coin vanishes from the hand using the French drop technique.
  • Method: Place coin in one hand, come over with the other hand and pretend to take the coin while letting it drop into the original hand.

Coin Matrix

  • Effect: Four coins jump positions around a table.
  • Method: Use four coins and one hidden coin. Drag coins under the cover of the hand. Ensure coins face the same direction.

Gimmick Coin Vanish

  • Effect: Coin vanishes instantly using a special gimmick.
  • Method: Use an elastic thread, magnet, and fishing wire attached to a fingernail. Attach the gimmick to trousers or inside jacket pocket and a magnetic coin.

Coin Bending

  • Effect: Coin visually bends in the magician's hand.
  • Method: Use a pre-bent coin and a normal coin. Switch the normal coin for the bent one and pretend to bend the coin.
