[Music] so in this video i like to talk about transfer of marriage so transfer of marriage or marriage dedication is a common practice in buddhism and we do this a lot in ceremonies in our daily practice and in festivals so each time after our practice it doesn't matter what practice maybe chinese sutras practice meditation practice near four etc we always will transfer the merit of our practice to other people to all sentient beings even to the deceased so what exactly is transferred the merit and how we can do it so to think about marriage it's a bit like the good points that we accrue through our practice through a series of good deeds or it can be understood as a protective and beneficial force that accumulated through practicing good deeds such as our spiritual practice dharma practice by reciting sutras mantras practicing them for by saving lives for animals all this will help us to accumulate good marriage good points for our spiritual advancement so we are more closer towards awakening so when we transfer the merit of our practice to others they will also obtain the benefit of our practice so in the city gaba suture it told us that if say the total benefit of our practice is seven and if we dedicate this merit to others then the other person will receive 1 7 of the benefit and the giver will retain the rest so don't worry about losing anything by transferring our merit to others the metaphor of this is like we use a candle to light other candles whereby the first candle will not diminish in any way so really the more we give the more we will gain in return and for near for practitioners when we chant the name of amitabha buddha it really carries infinite marriage it carries the infinite memories of amitabha buddha and it's important that we transfer this marriage not just to ourselves to our own rivers if you're seeking only for your own self-liberation then you don't even need to transfer the merit because just by reciting the name of amitabha buddha he already in campus of transferring the marriage towards rebirth that this is included in this name but when we chant this name after that we shall transfer the marriage for the benefit of all sentient beings and not just in this world but in all different words for the entire dharma realm so in buddhism we call the dharma ray also means the entire universe so know that the new for practice pyongyang buddhism is a lineage of mahayana buddhism which is the bodhisattva path so why do we want to secrete birth to the pure land why do we want to obtain enlightenment so it's not enough for celebration but rather we shall aspire to help all session beings to reach there it's really important for us to generate a really big body cheetah so i explained what is body chitta in a previous video you know the mind that strives towards enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings we shall really be like the body servers who has the spirit after buddha obtain enlightenment he did not just keep sit there or keep it secret for himself rather he came out and shared his wisdom and teach tirelessly for 49 years or some say 45 years this is what we should do if we are learning buddhism we should learn like the buddha like the body servers it's about the spirit of wanting to help all sentient beings and not just in this world again in all different worlds if we were to generate body chita we might as well generate the biggest body cheetah the greatest body chitta and this will also ensure you to gain the highest grade of reverse so in the contemplation structure we see there are nine grades of rebirth for people who obtain the higher grade of reverse the criteria it's all about body jitter it's all about generating a great body cheetah you know by generating this grade by the cheetah even if now we don't have this ability yet because we are still ordinary being we have not obtained any sort of level of enlightenment but it doesn't matter at least we have a goal you know this is what we want to do in the future so we are clear with our direction and now with our goal so we won't be lost and when we have this but the cheetah in mind it's like a force it will push us towards doing things that are for the good of others and even when we are wanting to seek reversed wanting to obtain enlightenment in the pure life in the end it's all about also helping others together to liberate for the sufferings of satsara of reincarnation so if you practice nium4 and you believe in amitabha buddha and you know how great this dharma is don't be shy to share with your friends and family and as many people as you know and some people maybe like but they don't understand none of my family practiced this it's impossible to talk to them about this but so one of the skills of the body software is skillful means it's about how skillful we can convey our message and also to different audience we will speak differently for instance if your family they're not interested in reverse they don't believe in reincarnation then don't talk about that you know just tell them to practice neo4 to practice amitabha recitation to obtain peace of mind you know just do it as a meditation practice and i trust with this a lot of people can accept because everyone wants to obtain peace of mind in the present and to kids if you wanted to practice near fall then maybe tell them you know i'll give you a candy if you say um buddha yeah so just use all these different skillful means it's all about planting seeds you know when the time is right then you can share a bit more with them yeah so don't be worried so i also teach my grandma about neon 4. luckily my grandma really accepts this although she doesn't know about reincarnation she had no idea of what reverse is but i told her it's to help her to obtain peace of mind and she felt happy and now i started to share a bit more about the western pure land you know i really hope she will gain reverse to the western pyola and now she accepts it although she doesn't fully understand but she wants to seek reverse to the pioneer as well so yes it's all about how we convey the messages and do it in a way that we feel others could accept and if you can help one person to seek repairs successfully to the pure land you know you're really helping them to realize buddhahood and this carries infinite merit so if you practice near four and other members in your family they don't practice name for or other friends but if you also want them to be benefited from your practice then you can simply transfer the merit of your practice to them and they will definitely receive some benefit of your practice so on our thursday and sunday meditation after we practice neum4 each time we always transfer the merit or dedicated merit for the benefit of all sentient beings in this world and all different world now a common married dedication gather i like to use is the one written by master shanda it's really easy so it just says may the resulting mary and virtue be distributed everywhere without discrimination may we all aspire to perfect enlightenment for the sake of all sentient beings and may we all obtain reverse to the land of peace and joy so you can also say something similar to these lines and there are other god thoughts that you can use that are also very good for marriage education which i'll drop in the description box so it's all about the intention you know the pure intention of wanting this for the benefit of all session beings in all the dharma red and this big body cheetah really resonate well with the heart of the buddha with the heart of amitabha buddha you know amitabha buddha wants to save all sentient beings that is why he made this a really easy path for us to gain rebirth there and there's no other easy path than this so when we have this big body cheetah we resonate well with the buddha's heart and it will ensure us for a higher grade
