Hebrew academy of Detroit Hebrew apologetics

is extremely interactive um so i'm going to be calling on you and we have something called participatory paralysis participatory paralysis so participatory paralysis means that you participate in your own paralysis so we this class is highly interactive much like our culture is uh malachi chapter 3 verse 16 obviously or malachi chapter 3 says they who feared the most high spake among one another and he heard them so the word spake and hebrew is this term bada or bharara and it means to create out of nothing you didn't want to give me an example of that happening where someone spoke there was nothing and someone spoke and it became substance is that correct we see an example of that that's where the term is first used it means to concoct or to create things simply by dialogue means so divine in prophetic conversations is essential to creating things and the heavenly so we need to really talk about that that's why interaction is very important and the most high heard them now someone give me the hebrew word for here shimmer shimmer all right semi in our dialect in the proper dialect is shama right so shema or shama right shema israel yahuwah uh yahuwah right and so uh what is shema to hear and do to hear and do that's correct because hebrew is concrete language unlike greek language unlike other western type of philosophical linguistics hebrew is concrete so we're going to go over that as well because if you're going to defend the faith defend your heritage defend the besora defend sound doctrine it's very important that you know those things um and it says in the most high heard them so the word here means to obviously to listen in order to demonstrate action and this is what the most high dead with our ancestors so many of these arcanes or elders would sit in a circle and as they sit in a circle they believe in open space this is a tradition they believe an open space because they believe as they sit they sat under the sycamores tree as they said and they had dialogue they believe that the most high will come in their midst listen to their prophetic conversation listen to their discourse and whatever they begin to talk about the most high will begin to act or demonstrate whatever they begin to talk about so we think we're waiting on the most high but in actuality the most high is waiting on us to enter into a divine dialogue so we're going to learn in his class contextualization as well because contextualizing malach or malachi when we contextualize it um actually it says and there should be meat in my house well meat bear hebratically speaking mean freshly torn prey so when we enter into a divine discourse a prophetic dialogue freshly torn revelation pours from the heaven this is how the most high have always revealed revelation to our people so in this class it's you're going to get some information but you're also going to get some revolution that simply is going to come by the way of interaction we're going to have this divine discourse in this class and we're going to talk about many issues that will seemly trouble you remember perception unchallenged becomes reality perception unchallenged becomes reality where if your perception is not challenged that becomes your reality and many of us still have a ethnocentric slash your centric perspective of the scriptures so you cannot defend what you do not know most people believe what they know but they don't know what they believe they believe what they know but they don't know what they believe so part of this is we're going to look at this from various angles so before we begin tonight and go over the syllabus um i want to share with you very briefly let's use this here i'm not the best artist here but let's see if we can demonstrate some things so let's look at in terms of the hebrew faith all right the hebrew faith or the sound doctrine as you say that the faith that was given to the saints of old according to jude chapter 3. so when we talk about uh apologetics in fact let's talk about mention this term i don't like using the term theology but let's use theology hebraic worldview let's use that so what is the definition of theology it is a greek term what is the definition of theology the study of god okay so that is a very generic very academic rendering of the term theology in fact theology is so much deeper than that so that's a greek understanding of theology our theology from a hybrid worldview is not the study of god theos and ology or where we get to work logic from or logia from but it's actually faith seeking understanding all right so this is our faith this is why we take classes this is why we inquire that we said one thing i desire of the most high and that one thing i seek after and that is to dwell in his temple all the days of my life and to behold his beauty and to inquire in his temple so in korea is very important faith seeking understanding so that's what we want to do right because most people know what they believe or believe what they know they don't know what they believe so this course is first of all before you can defend what you believe you have to know what you believe sadly most people don't know what they believe again one of the learning outcomes of this class is not to tell you what to believe but it's to challenge what you believe so that you can know what you believe so eventually you can know how to defend it so it's faith seeking understanding is when what you believe comes on a collision course with inquiry so we're gonna ask a lot of questions we want you to ask a lot of questions as we defend the faith in this particular class so there are three constructs or three elements i should say three paradigms that shape our hybrid worldview can anybody give me um one our culture our culture absolutely culture is very important culture shapes our world view our language yeah so our language let's keep that within culture because culture is how you influence it is your it is your family your history your environment is your dialect uh it is uh various is the social learning theory as we call it or the contemporary learning behavior it's all your your cultural influence what else influence your faith walk let's put faith here i think faith is a it's a term that we lose a moon let's put faith here what else influence your faith what you believe what you believe because many of us have what we call embedded theology embedded theology embedded theology an embedded theology is you believe what you believe because you've been influenced by by your mother you've been influenced by um your culture you've been indoctrinated and so part of this awakening is coming out of embedded theology and what we call deliberative deliver to theology so this is our goal our goal this is what many of you have already experienced you're just going to go deeper in this class and we're going to be very deliberate deliberate about um what we believe very matter of fact um we are going to search the scriptures we're going to look at sound the sound doctrines of the scriptures and uh we're going to defend it all right so culture what else another one uh scripture tradition human experience yep yep good so many of you have had it so it is scripture right scripture influence our faith is that correct are we influenced by the scriptures i will say yes yes and then we say tradition because christians as well they use the same bible but their understanding is quite quite diametric than ours so tradition because you can read the same scripture and get a different tradition whether it's islam and islam they read the quran and you can you can subscribe to a shia tradition or sunni tradition of course within a christian faith within uh the bible itself or christian faith obviously there's 33 000 denominations within the christian tradition wow what's another what's the last one wow culture we mentioned culture culture we so we influenced by the scriptures that influences our faith or our hebraic worldview tradition obviously a tradition that comes out of that the biblical culture and then of course our own personal culture experience human experience experience thank you very much so experience human experience no one can no one can compete or refute rather your human experience your human experience is key it is pivotal it is a deciding factor in terms of what you believe how you believe it's what you experience now obviously there's individuals who who apart me they eliminate the idea of of culture they say we don't want anything to do with culture and so those individuals are what we call and i'll quickly go through this here so we can get to our first class these are fundamentalists so if you are if you do not consider the culture you just say is all about the bible what we call tradition one tradition two tradition three and even some cases tradition zero type of people we'll explain that later and you say i don't consider the culture just the scripture and tradition and human experience we see that a lot among uh traditions like the amish people like the quakers a lot of people are fundamentalists they do not consider the culture in fact a lot of uh hebrews now are dismissing the current culture and they are only they only care about the scriptures and their human experience these will be fundamentalist people who do not consider the scripture or tradition and just a culture of human experience these people are called secular humanists i'm doing this for a reason because you're going to begin to see christianity in a minute as we begin to dissect the scriptures right see these are separate humanists then there are individuals who do not consider human experience he says all about the scripture and traditions and culture these people are called intellectualists or ideologue they are audio logs or intellectuals intellectualists um so these people have a very hard time reaching people they know about the scriptures they can quote scriptures they are they understand culture but they have not experienced it you cannot redeem a people whom you cannot touch you cannot mediate for people whom you can associate with this is what we call incarnation so mashiach was the incarnate of the most high so this class consequently is not about information and information only and you're going to learn a score you're going to learn a myriad of information in this class this class the chief objective the focal point of this class is not just about information this class is about transformation so the incarnate mashiach was the incarnate now let me ask you a question that mashiach from the world called christ did he drop a letter a letter from heaven and said you all come to me no no he didn't do that at all did he how did he demonstrate his love for israel he went to the people he came to the people that's what we call missiology missiology or missional incarnation missional incarnation says i'm not going to have the people to come to me but i'm going to go where they are and i'm going to be touched with the feelings of their infirmity in fact i have no sin but he without sin became sin and became a ransom and a propitiation for our sins so missional incarnation says i'm going to go to people so we're talking about being an apologist we're going to talk about momentarily material material means it comes from the word to be a martyrer it means taking a message and sometimes a message that is rejected by the world and displaying that message within very harsh and very anti-physical conditions that will put your life in jeopardy that's what it means to be a witness or an apologist this is why moshiach we're going to learn in week 7 we're going to look at matthew chapter 10 and we're going to look at it we're going to scrutinize it and we're going to integrate it and we're going to look at how mashiach sent us on a mission he said i'm sending you out as she among what that's the context but my i want you to be wise as serpents and i want you to be harmless as a dove so we're going to look at that in this class as well look at that contextually the missional incarnation says just like martial demonstrated he didn't allow the people to come to him he went to the people he he now became our great high priest to be touched with the feelings of our infirmities so we're going to talk about various styles first of all of apologia or apologetics we're going to talk about these styles and we want you to identify with these styles before we begin to get into the heart of what we need to teach tonight okay so think about missiology you all are the missionaries of the world you all are the light of the world you all are the ones who conduct the house of the most high in which all the nations of the world will come to you according to michael chapter 4 verse 2. you are a nation of priests now that's going to make sense momentarily i think we only have a shallow understanding of this but it's going to make sense as we develop some traction in this class okay so let's get started with this here i was going to start with abstract versus concrete thinking because it's very important that we understand that hebrew is concrete it's concrete it's not this abstract thinking that's creek that that's the old idea of anybody ever heard of pre socratic um cosmologists okay some of you have okay so we have a lot of pre-socratic so this is before socrates right just before socrates so there's a number of people like heraclitus and annex amanda and the nexus mendes we if you understood greek philosophy you will see how even the brit hadashah which is a new testament you also will begin to see how their philosophical systems has invaded our and and somehow what am i looking for they have infiltrated is a proper term it infiltrated the hebrew culture and the hebrew language and dominated and so we have to begin to look at that because if you don't understand these you know annex and mindy's if you don't understand militian you don't understand even after them looking at individuals like thales and uh of course you guys know about those individuals who are socratic or those who are given to socrates and those individuals who are plutonians uh from plato and those individuals who are aristotelians from aristotle um that had a heavy influence on the bible what you read today so we have to get you somehow to understand the greek culture so that you can just oppose it to the hebrew culture and then from there extrapolate your worldview so in in essence we are reading the hebrew bible through the lens of our oppressors through the lens of the greeks to the lens of a byzantine empire of grecianized linguistic but it's more than linguistics i wish i can get our naysayers and detractors and these zealous christians to understand is more than just language this is a philosophical um takeover it is it is it is this philosophy that xiaohu paul talked about in colossians chapter 2 that says do not allow the philosophies of the world to spoil you well the word the greek word for spoiled viewers squala go gayle squala go gayo means to take away the booty it means to take away the booty the booty of course as we know an old english language is treasure and so the philosophies the isms of this world they do a damage against the hebrew culture so we need to put that on the backdrop of hebrew culture just to pose it and as we do the justice position we then will arrive to understand what are we defending because most of you do not know what you're defending you're just regurgitating germanic language regurgitating the latinized grecianized culture and you don't know what you're defending so let's start let's start uh let's start hallelujah uh let me see if i can change this here okay so i think wrong one let's try this one more time that's right it's one more time are you still with me still here okay shalom thank you yes yes sir okay so welcome to hebrew apologetics our first class hallelujah all right let's go over the course syllabus really quickly i want to do that let's quickly go over well before we do that let me ask why hebrew apologetics as i bring that up why don't we go around we're start start with colleen and we'll go around to some of the students and that's why hebrew apologetics let you talk this time okay yes um so i chose this class to be my first class because being new to the faith um and still learning how to how to unlearn everything that i've learned all i know how to do is read and watch people teach me how to study i want to learn how to understand truly understand what i what i what i believe uh based on um scriptural and historic and uh migration uh proof like i i just need to be able to explain it and defend and i believe that that would help other people to awaken or i'll be able to to drop better seeds well said well you're going to learn a lot of that you're going to learn s p str trackers migration loops linguistics corroborating accounts tons of uh literary consistency um pragmatism anybody know what practicism is okay pragmatism means the study of the skull we're gonna look at archaeological and anthropological studies and you're gonna defend it relatively easy so any urban apologist so what we do is we prepare you to defend it not just against mama and them and pookie and ray ray them and your cousins and you know but this class is designed to teach you how to defend it against those individuals with formalized theological education okay great thank you colleen who's next daniel hello i chose to take this class because i've been learning learning a lot especially over the past over the past years near to two years and i wanted to be able to responsibly um share what i'm learning with others and i also want to be able to defend what i believe in not just to know for myself but i want to be able to share with others in a responsible way and i want to add on continue to add on what i know and develop a better understanding of the scriptures so that i can effectively walk out what i believe hallelujah kayla for me um the reason why i enrolled in this course was you have a saying that you always say and i always butcher it but you can correct me if i'm wrong you say a lot of people um know what they believe but don't know what they believe is that how you say dr howard they believe what they know but don't know what they believe believe and that's what i felt like for me i needed to ensure as as aki daniel said being responsible with the mandate of what yah has um called not just me but also to be as a nato help me to my husband um and what we are called to do and so for me would be just be responsible and often to when we um well when i communicate sometimes with people it can be often a manner of abrupt and that's sometimes because out of what i'm trying to talk about the question someone asks me i may not know it and so instead of just being quiet i feel like i have to have a response or answer just so that they know it's gonna say the most high word is true and i no longer want to operate in that manner so i don't want to operate um where as we say sometimes hurt people hurt people or ignorant people could you know further off make someone else more ignorant and erroneous and false doctrine so that's my transparency moment of why i am enrolled in this course and just ultimately to continue um learning more about the next time excellent excellent so we need to be sharpened and uh i know there are some individuals who are um they are anti-training and anti-education but all throughout the scriptures people were training uh the tamudins or the disciples were training we find that elijah had a school of the prophets so training is very important as part of the hebrew culture this individualistic relevant relativism i'm going to do my own thing um long ranger type of mentality is incongruous of the hebrew culture so we have to learn and that's part of it even mashiach learned things in which he endured or suffered all right uh maury kenneth and prophetess um shalom um the one of the main reasons that i'm taking hebrew apologetics is i need to know how to defend what i'm learning um what i believe and what i stand for i believe it's uh first peter 3 and 15 that says you know when you need to be able to give a man an answer when they ask you what is the hope of of what you believe and do it in this meekness and fear um i want to be a witness for the most high y'all and and i need to be able to articulate to people when they ask me what do you believe i need to be able to tell them logically clear and concise what i believe and be able to stand firmly and defend should they pose a question why do you believe that i need to be able to articulate that to them so that's why i'm taking apologetics yes um you know i think about the verse which is being like a tree planet by the rivers of water you know i was i thought i was playing it like i was supposed to be playing when i was in christianity but um i want to be planted so whatever comes my way i will not be moved and so again as my husband said you want to be able to you know have an answer um and i want to be bold in um you know when i'm answering someone so i this this is it's what's needed it's what's needed i i need to be able to defend the yacht that i serve i know with the help and the assistance of the ruakadesh uh you will be siobhan you will be thoroughly equipped the work that most i have for you that doesn't take away from your skill set doesn't take away from your anointing does it take away from your capacities and the wherewithal in which you demonstrated within under the auspices of christianity the most high still are going to use all of those things we don't throw the baby out with the bath water but you're going to be armed and dangerous i guarantee you after this class so and we're going to talk about a little bit of your style i kind of glean in terms of your apologetic style we're going to talk about that momentarily richard gray yes sir um now i wrote down a little something too but actually moray kenneth had actually really said it so well i mean like he's saying to be able to stand and defend it i wrote to learn the hebraic viewpoint and that and i learned some other stuff the rhythm see and i feel like being able to defend it means i have to be able to live it as you said hybridly we're actually based so i'm saying this rhythm so i can understand my own experience and thusly be able to expound why i believe what i believe confirming because see i believe you're gonna be confirming some stuff i've been standing on since 2013 14 which is what's been happening you know so um and then i'm gonna be learning from the source root which is the word from a hybrid cultural perspective which i believe has been the lacking point part of what they were able to accomplish and take over from us which has us out of rhythm if you can understand thank you dr howard richard so we're going to continue that frequency in this class uh and i'm pretty sure you're going to be able to clean quite a bit so for those individuals who have taken this class before we kind of reconfigured this class and we added about 30 percent of new information so if you've taken this class before you're going to get a lot of new information moving forward okay all right i think maury cook um i love i love what uh what the brother just said um for the grade right and he says rhythm and uh this is my second time taking the course and uh hear what you said however we've added some more things because the first time i take the course you know the it was the first time been able to take a course dealing with the hebrew and culture huge um but i took it to defend and i used the word defend in a different manner in the sense that i wanted to slap some people with the bible right and to be able to be strong enough with my scriptural knowledge and interpretation that i can defend it with the sword and the shield now the class doesn't allow that opportunity we we we will be able to defend it you know with the full armor however this time around it's more harmonious um as brother gray said in rhythm and we live it out we're able to in love having community have communication and have a dialogue about it after taking the course now i can watch other debates i can watch people discussing hebrew culture i can see the hits i can see the misses i can i'm comfortably talking to a jewish person about our culture and so there's this comfort level that arrives when you're able to defend your your faith your culture your understanding of your history book right um so again that's the reason why i'm here for the second round um a lot of me to take notes stay tuned because as dr howard said we did not want to let him go he had to actually kick us out i think what was it 14 12 something like that you had to tell us to get off your get off your zoom it's time to go home so uh thank you for having me appreciate it yeah hopefully this class don't go into 15 weeks but as you can tell it's the synergy it's the synergy that is developed in this class what we call synergetic learning again because we don't adopt this teaching philosophy or what we call frontal teaching we adopt a epistemological approach that has that is about collaborative learning so we're going to break up into groups we're going to do some very fun and exciting and engaging type of methodologies we're going to use in this class um lori brown uh hallelujah um i'm blessed and fortunate to be surrounded by uh as the scriptures say a host of witnesses uh my my ikea my brothers um are a blessing to me uh so i'm constantly gleaning um from my brothers and fellowship uh as far as my security in the faith that's not the issue um but i am taking this class because as xiaohu paul he said i became all things to all people right and so um as we study to show ourselves approved and as we uh continue to trust in the ruach we can uh actually beat all things to all people when it comes to uh comes to the truth in in in speaking it and being an example uh there are many stigmas uh that are still tied to uh the the idea of a hebrew israelite there you know and um some is they they they born witness to some bad some bad examples but also there is a lot of uh bad media that has been that has been and that information that has been pushed i believe this is one of those classes that will help all of us uh to actually um in our understanding and as we have a better uh revelation of the culture and the text and the language we can be though those shining examples where the people can actually see the glory of yah when we can enter in conversation where they let their guard down and actually enter in conversation with us and actually want to know a little bit more uh concerning uh you know who we are and and what this is about so where we to the point we can actually sow season water so uh that's really what i'm taking this class how did we excellent that's actually more right let's take a textbook response uh excellent excellent we're going to talk about in this class canards anybody know what a canard is i forgot c-a-n-a-r-d-s canards okay so someone get that for me and tell me what a canard is meanwhile we will jump to timothy kinney appreciate it um i chose apologetics primarily because i have a lot of friends and uh family members loved ones still choosing christianity um i mean i've had conversations with them we've uh not really debates but i have a uh you gotta prove it to me mentality be a scripture for me to believe what you believe so i take that approach with them um so and and i had debates with guys at work um and and they always come to an understanding today actually we was some guy came to me uh coincidentally and and for those who don't know i'm uh i'm with great awakening indy and we just covered timothy 4 last night somebody at work today brought that up to me a christian coincidentally uh he was defending he could eat anything and he brought that scripture to me i said well let's look at context so we started one down he got the proper context of that text so think little things like that so really for me it's about honing uh my skills sharpening my sword uh in a more efficient and effective manner i i guess you know knowing where to go to pull uh receipts you know stating chapter verse versus let me google it real quick yeah i mean but that's it well thank you timothy you're in the right class um this class is designed uh to sharpen and to hone in hone your uh your ability to to defend with accuracy uh so as well as we're gonna look at not only the spiritual component it is well there's an art and science to how you defend so we're going to look at that as well so shalom shalom thank you did someone find a corner i posted it they typed it in the chat is a traditional rumor of an unknown origin of unknown origin that's correct so it's an unfounded rumor or story that really has no veracity there's very little evidential support that to justify that canard but the masses are deceived by canards for instance we're going to deal with some of that as well although that's not the chief objective and outcome of this class we are going to deal with um for instance adam and eve were they the only two in the garden no no no no see we have a very fertility fairytale because where we get the word fairy tale is fertility um folkloric fairy tale disney enchantment perspective of the scriptures so this really is about changing your perspective so you can begin to see through the lens of the most high everything we say in this class must be backed by by empirical research shrewd scholarships receipts a litany of scriptural support there must be some type of evidential support for what we say and so um how many of you say for sure adam and eve were the only two and the and in the garden and they were naked and they saw leaves of themselves and uh and there was no one in a garden but them i i know i had the class before you were saying the trees were nations uh in the in the garden um so we're gonna assume that it was other people in the garden but i do know that uh in the book of joshua we talked about uh cain he slept with his sister that's how they had kids over there other people in the good so joshua brings up some receipts right some things that we tend to see that is gray areas or these things that are um that the scriptures is pretty cited at least the canonical uh portion of the scriptures canonical or can acidity that means the uh the 66 books that we get now but obviously there are other people in the garden and your bible says it some of you looking like you're like wait a minute huh because we have again we have this disney life enchantment type of ordeal so in ezekiel chapter 31 i know we're in the middle of introductions but ezekiel chapter 31 you will read the narrative there remember the bible in which we read see let me tell you why some of you all have this confused perplexed uh look of of enigma this conundrum look on your face right let me tell you why because you are still influenced by your oppressors rendition of your story the tale of the lion will always favor the hunter until the lion gets his own historians ezekiel chapter 31 now you're gonna remember hebrew culture is concrete but there's a lot of idioms there are metaphors there are synecdoches there's montana means uh if you don't understand synecdoches um if you don't understand uh hyperboles similes and we do that in scripture interpretation then you're looking at the bible through the lens of your oppressors and they always because they don't understand it again we are called to the cause because we are connected to the crisis the bible is a hebrew bible written by hebrew people with a hebrew perspective unfortunately we don't have that because we have amalgamated to this babylonian system and so our understanding of the scripture is twerking it's convoluted so ezekiel tells us again ezekiel tells us that there are trees in the garden whenever the bible mentioned trees it is synonymous to nations or people mashiach said i am the vine you are the what you are the branches and over and over and over we can get 12 13 14 proceeds that trees are synonymous to the nations of people now we can take the guesswork out of that because ezekiel chapter 31 said these trees are in the garden with adam and these trees do not like adam listen to the proverbial language but then ezekiel to take all of the guests out of it to take all of the enigma out of it ezekiel goes on to say and these trees are what the nations is the nations of people they tell you they are nations and it's right there in your bible but again as uh okay kayla said most of us we believe what we know but we don't know what we believe because we have not scrutinized the scriptures we have not integrated the scriptures we don't understand contextual criticism um we don't understand um what we call literary criticism we don't understand the historical cultural context so part of this is going back to your culture you can't defend what you don't know ezekiel chapter 31 is lavish in terms of providing us with receipts that there are other people in the garden as well who envy adam and eve okay all right let's let's continue i'm sorry that was a brief uh intermission okay uh who's next is it uh did we do gary already um let's see you know i'm just keep this short and sweet i mean you just demonstrated i thought i read the bible but i guess i never did but either way um i think a short answer to your question as to why the apologetic course was taken is i want to strengthen my purpose and i mean that's probably a holistic standpoint without all of the details and when i watch and i see uh celebrities that actually got caught up in and starting to identify now they know who they are they can't defend themselves you know aka nick cannon um i'm not i i refuse to be in that situation so that would be in a long story short my biggest purpose of taking this course for me um i i grew up in a church but i'm learning more and more with the awakening that there's so much i don't know especially i grew up pentecostals i mean for those that are pentecostal you know it's strict holiness and even with that it's still um but also to get a better understanding to defend um what i believe regarding paul because paul keeps getting thrown in i know in my face whenever i say something about you know diet us being the people anything like that so just to get more a better understanding so that i can defend myself which i don't feel like i need to defend myself with others but if i need to just to have that foundation thank you that's uh that's key um you're gonna need that foundation to defend and i think this this ambiance is uh situated just for for that to equip each of you to be able to defend with accuracy and with scholarship uh and with sensitivity to the ruach with meekness and humility to share the truth of sound doctrine all right alicia okay hello um the reason i took the class i'm taking the class is because i want to unlearn most of what i have learned through what you call european the lens of european christianity and most of the churches that we've gone to over the years over our lives haven't really taught us the truth of the word um maybe because they didn't know so um i'm just trying to get a full understanding of what our history book is really telling us and also i want to be able to to defend what i believe past holidays or you know evil past why are we wearing fringes and you know the the normal things that people think about when they think about hebrews so i just want to be able to defend past the outer stuff that people see thank you so much for saying that and we're going to share a litany of uh migration routes we're going to share linguistics you can you're going to be able to defend it by linguistics we're going to look at uh customs of tribes uh like uh limbo tribe and cuckoo tribe and the god tribe and airway tribe and uh we're going to look at various tribes and so um to identify these montus people uh people who are in the um in a congo and how they share the same dna and the same story the same story so we're going to look at that we're going to look at archaeological bonds we're going to look at anthropological studies we're going to look at corroborating accounts uh we're going to look at a number of things to empirical data in research that proves who we are yeah so each of you will walk away from this class with with some scholarship as well okay all right uh who's next i think debbie you're next shalom everyone um i'm gonna say i did oh everything y'all said no i do though but i'm taking the course uh i kind of took it before but i uh stopped i'm taking the course to get a deeper understanding i go out talking to people all the time i'm a people person i'm always witnessing i'm always telling them about you know who we are and different stuff like that i want to get a better understanding of the word in the hebraic manner and i want to be able to defend all of paul's rights so this class right here is gone you know we're gonna get into we're gonna get into that about how to defend this is uh defending the law but it's still gonna defend paul's writings because paul followed the law but of course the church teaches they throw all his letters out there because if you don't understand the word in the hebraic manner you're not going to be able to understand none of his letters or none of his writings so this is going to give me an understanding of the whole deal the whole bible i'm gonna be able to understand the whole uh all of it and be able to defend some sometimes it's hard to defend some of the stuff he says especially if you don't have an understanding hebraicly because they look some of these people are bible scholars church-wise so you really got to know how to talk to them and be able to defend um the law but i do ditto everything you guys said so long shalom debbie uh yes so uh debbie is absolutely correct we're gonna spend at least two weeks dealing specifically with the law and how to defend a law at least two weeks uh i think last semester went over three or four weeks we're gonna leave speech two weeks in fact alicia could you do me a favor could you give romans chapter 10 verse four in the king james version thank you um who did not go did we get everyone did we get damon did we get jeffrey did we damon damon okay yes yes um my reason for taking the class um is actually twofold uh personally uh i wanted to fulfill the scripture where it talks about uh being a workman that needs not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth and to be able to share it uh to shift the paradigm that i have been given about um the word of yah and to be able to properly present it and be able to to to verify what i'm saying and then a saying that i've used for many years and i noticed the brother uh one of those brothers is taking the murray class he uses it as his um as his title but it's that i picked it up from martial arts it says each one teach one and and and and i often think about uh in james the third chapter the first verse he warns us you know that if you're gonna be a teacher you gotta be very careful because you can be held at a different standard and you're going to be held accountable for everything that you teach uh you know and to be able to operate in a position that y'all be pleased with what i'm doing and then those in the community that i'm sharing it with that they'll be able to get an understanding and that they'll be able to turn around and teach another each one reach one each one hallelujah all right anyone else i think we have jeffrey james and i think we have uh uh dr ken reed i think we have terrance is anyone else well this is launch right i'm not pretty much good when it comes to speaking around with a group of people but um uh apologetic class for me is because dr howard just said recently um you can't re you can't defend what you don't know um i don't know a lot when it comes to defending the word so that's my main reason for taking the class i would like to learn how to defend the word i would like to learn more of the word itself and to also help me to speak better and stop being so nervous when it comes to speaking around a group of people so that's my reason well you're gonna demonstrate it and sometimes you can say um a lot with a mouth that says absolutely nothing it is your lifestyle it is which means not only one who says the word the one who embodies the word so this class is really about having human body embodying this the culture embodying the sound doctrine and as shaol said when you have an enlarged heart you're going to have an open mouth so this is our goal and purpose of this class to enlarge your heart and truth and you speaking it's going to be second nature so our goal is not to give you proper linguistics or align your pathology with certain methodologies that is aligned with um whatever our narrative is our goal is to cause transformation to happen again this class is not about information it's about transformation it's not about putting you in a no but this class is about incarnation right the same way that the mashiach the messiah became the incarnate of the most high and he came among the people and he dwelt among the people um he didn't ask people to come to him he went to them and so there's going to be such a zeal and a passion and such a desire to go among the people when your heart is enlarged with what we're going to share in this class hallelujah all right uh who's next dr reed we can't hear you you're still on me how about there that's better okay um hello everyone again and um dr howard i am taking this class uh first and foremost to understand what it means to be a hebrew man and all that encompasses that the real culture of us not that which we've been indoctrinated with in this captors land so that's first and foremost second uh i've been a minister now 32 years and i got the i have the collegiate degrees in this in theology and to realize that it's been inundated with uh european thought uh i know it has socratic thinking in it platonic thinking in it and all of that tells me wow i i need to re-learn the word so first and foremost as a hebrew man i need to understand self second to be able to inspire other hebrews to wake up third and when i say third that's at the bottom third is talking to our europeans helping them see hebraically who the messiah really is that's all i have shalom shalom you know when i came out of uh a seminary years ago and as a college and seminarian professor um i came into the awakening i felt like i went from feeling like i know everything to feel like i know absolutely nothing to zero to zero that's exactly what i feel like all of my formal theological education i felt like the apostle paul it was dung it was feces but tonight don't ask how long ago that was when when when did you awaken awaken um now it's been uh six and a half years fully yep six and a half years really yeah so for me i had to really be deconstructed and that was very difficult because not only did i was i learned in those systems but i also perpetuated i i'm an instructor and so we're going to talk a little bit about that about detoxifying yourself of christendom it is a very difficult and arduous task you can't do it alone it's going to take the raka dash hallelujah all right we got a couple more people thanks for sharing dr reed well my reason for joining is i found out that i've been reading pretty much everything out of context so i wanted to find out the real reason what you know basically what the word god truly says instead of i guess having the jedi line trick uh performed on youtube that's my main reason of jumping so cognitive dissonance is a real thing um we're going to deal with the strong delusion we have to be broken off the strong delusion so this is just we're going to talk just momentarily we're going to talk about the psychology of the hebrew and your progression because if you're not able to break that stronghold you're not going to be a very effective witness the only thing you're going to do is regurgitate the christian thought cascity or catholicism you're just regurgitating it so we have to detoxify and allow the ruach hakka dish to detoxify us so that we can unlearn and then learn all right i learn to learn and um and so we'll do that moving forward all right let's start let's go back here let's look at the syllabus really quickly and this we're going to peruse let us hear you have any questions you can email me afterwards well let's look at this class so welcome everybody to culinary arts welcome so you're going to learn three ways of cooking and we're going to deal with five different entrees you're going to be able to uh prepare five different entrees you're going to be grated on those entrees and we're also going to learn how to make kosher dessert so welcome to your hebrew culinary arts class hopefully everyone have their cookie utensils ready and you're ready to cook hello everyone welcome i think i need to uh withdrawal [Music] all right welcome to e1000 hebrew apologetics obviously we meet every wednesday night except during passover week and we'll share that with you momentarily um so this class meet from 6 to 8 30 p.m that is our goal obviously the course description is this course is designed to equip the hebrew believer with foundational training and how to strategically and accurately defend uh the nominal identity of the faith and the sacred word of yah additionally you're going to learn how to defend the law how to defend the law almost all of the christian world regards paul letters as proof that we need not to concern ourselves with god's torah or its law this is a major mistake that must be addressed thoroughly so this class we're going to deal with ceremonial laws we're going to do a moral laws dietary laws um what a judgment laws and how do you skillfully defend it so some of the learning expected learning outcomes of this class we're going to talk about why ethnicity places an important role or plays an important role in scripture we're going to talk about personal as well as models of historical linguistic cultural biblical methodologies of defending the hebrew faith we're going to talk about twos and techniques to share the awakening message and the list goes on in terms of uh what we're going to do how do you share defend against solafede and sola gratia and solas uh christus which means by faith alone by grace alone and by christ alone that's nowhere in the scriptures does it say by faith alone in fact the only place that it was is hinted to says it speaks about our works in james chapter 2. so we're going to teach you how to defend that we're going to teach you how to develop a pneumology everyone say pneumology numology numerology so numerology of course nomos means law is a greek word for law nomos so when i say people are nomophobic that means they are against the law they have a phobia against the law so we're gonna we're gonna show you how to build this break foundation of nomology looking at charol looking at the mashiach on the world called christ we're gonna look at that um in a deeper sense our goals is we're going to help you understand the apologetics what it involves and how to be successful in it um also we're going to show you and teach you the importance of what i mean in witness again from a eurocentric standpoint the word witness is simply one who shares the faith but from a hebraic standpoint it means one who's ready to lay down their lives so we're going to look at that from on that standpoint we're going to create a desire within each student to recognize the need for personal growth and defending the faith and again we're going to talk about this missional incarnation dynamic we're going to give students a clear grasp of biblical teaching regarding their own faith in order to be able to articulate their faith in any situation so again we have to teach you how or you have to first of all develop and understand what you believe personally so the proper role of apologetics we're going to formally biblical thoughtful and culturally relevant responses to the objections you're going to get a lot of objections we're going to deal with all those objections and teach you how to skillfully tactfully and biblically defend all the objections you're going to get there's going to be a number of people who are naysayers a number of them who are who are detractors and a lot of people who do not agree with your faith so many of you have the syllabus i won't go over it in detail all right again the only thing you need for this class is that is the scriptures that's all you need i provide all the other information for you so technically there is recommended text but there is no required text for this class again most of the information will be placed on moodle the all of our slides will be on moodle most of you have your username and password some of you do not and so if you stay on after class we'll make sure that you get your username and password all of the teachings the lectures would be there will be a video on moodle as well so all the information and content would be on moodle as we look at the requirements for this class we're going to have weekly readings um i require in this class that you read the scriptures and i'm going to give you prescribed readings um as we from we defeat week to week um so we are going to eliminate this why defend the law presentation i'm gonna tell you why we're gonna replace that with something else that's worth 15 of your grade we're also going to do a lot of group exercises so you're going to get credit for group exercises in which you do 12-minute presentations for this course group um quizzes so technically there's only about five quizzes you would take so most of the quizzes you will take is going to be in a collaborative um setting so you're going to work together with other students during why are you taking your quizzes um and most of your quizzes will be on moodle you will immediately get a grade mock defenses um we're going to do oral test mock defenses i'm going to throw up an issue about the law or the issue about um maybe against the virgin birth uh maybe i'm going to throw up something about uh about that goes against to say european jews or ashkenazi jews are the authentic jews we're going to see how well do you defend that in this class and then of course 20 of your grade is being participatory as in class activities and class activities so let's skip down to so attendance is very important let's get down to what is what we're going to go over all right let's get the course outline so today obviously we're going to try to talk about what is the awakening what is hebrew apologetics religious verses opposing views and their responses what are some religious and opposing responses that you're going to see why why does it matter what is the gospel versus the besora so all throughout the thread of this class we're going to try to replace the term gospel with besora we're going to use the sword i'm going to tell you why i'm going to show you what besora or basir means in hebrew it has deep deep connotations and we don't want to miss it and so we'll share that as well as i doubt if we get to the virgin birth but it's very important we know how to defend that as well because there's going to be most people who are non um what we call non-missionaries or individuals who are non-messianic uh those two group of people are going to try to debunk the virgin birth by going to isaiah chapter seven and say no isaiah was really talking about his son um he wasn't talking about mashiach and that word virgin there or means a girl um it doesn't mean one who is without six so therefore you sit or joseph is the father of the mashiach so how do you defend that so we're going to show you how to defend that as well week number two we're going to talk about the six covenants we're going to talk about after the six covenants we're going to talk about the individual covenant we're going to talk about the um the noe covenant the abrahamic covenant the mosaic or the cyanic covenant we're going to talk about the davidic covenant then we're going to talk about the repaired and the new covenant those six then we're going to deal with the five categories of the laws you i never teach laws without teaching covenant first so i always teach covenants because only think a law is is stipulations of the covenant if you don't understand the covenant then you're going to have a very flawed understanding of what the laws are so we're going to deal with that um notice that this is the week you need to read this is what you're going to need to read the readings is these these particular passages of scripture we will have our first quiz next week it's going to be on a material that we provide don't worry it's going to be in the collaborative sense and the group dynamic so we want you to study but i don't want you to feel the pressure we're going to have our first group then i want you all to do a short paper um maybe or a paragraph or so or more of why it's important to defend the hebrew faith why is it important to defend the hebrew faith so next week you should prepare for your quiz and then why is it important to defend the hebrew faith it can be a paragraph it can be a page it can be three pages but we want you to share because you're going to share with the class why it's important from your perspective to defend the hebrew faith then we're going to course we're going to talk about defending the law week number three notice your readings and then we're going to have another quiz and our quiz is going to be on the previous the information we learned from the previous week so every time we have a quiz it's going to be based on what you learned in the previous week um so we're going to deal with yahushua christ in the law we do apologize grace is only intended for those individuals who keep the law we're going to teach you how to explain that biblically right we're going to build this this theological or this world view that's going to give you an advantage um using the scriptures of what grace is so we're going to talk about how to defend the law as well we're going to look at deeper and so we're going to give you handouts to every class notice uh this fourth week we are going to talk about who are the israelites we're going to look at hebrew history we're going to get pragmatism we're going to look at dna we're going to get maps we're going to get s ps and our trackers migrations we're going to look at that um then the following week we're going to talk about we're going to continue that who are the israelites so we spent a couple weeks just dealing with that linguistics etc um then we're going to deal with um john chapter 3 verse 16 deception and walk you through that because most people are really getting confused about it but we're going to slowly and very methodically walk you through this deception then we're going to talk about covenant with the house of what is the covenant with the house of israel and judah we're going to talk about supersessionism which is replacement theology how do you defend that so in this class we're going to give you a step-by-step process and strategy as to how do you defend supersessionism or replacement theology that says the church says that they replace israel that the covenant is now with them that is hogwash that is incongruous inconsistent diametrically opposed to the tenets of and the veracity of the scriptures it holds no weight and we're going to show you how to defend that we're also going to deal with the rapture doctrine the rapture doc deception rather and how that is a deception how do you defend that how do you defend that and then of course we're going to deal with the more deans the appointed times we're going to do with the weekly sabbath and we're going to deal when we deal with the weekly side but we also deal with the lunar sabbath and how do you again this class doesn't tell you what to believe but it challenges what you believe so we're going to look at the misconception of the lord's sabbath right is it the weekly sabbath the uh the saturday sabbatarians or is it lunar sabbatarians uh who's correct we're just going to teach you how to to analyze that and how to go through the scriptures yourself so you can make a decision so that if you are you run against someone who opposes you you know how to defend that so we're going to deal with the sabbath in detail we're also going to deal with a sacred name we're going to deal with techniques on how to share the awakening um some do's and don'ts i'm going to go through matthew chapter 7 with you we're going to use the right roman road in terms of how you defend it we're going to look at the four laws of apologetics as well so i ran through that relatively quickly anybody have any questions concerning the syllabus can you can you uh repeat the one part where you're saying um that what was hogwash are you saying the gentiles are saying that they're the covenants with them now well the whole christian church says that the covenant is now with them okay and paul even said that gentiles must cleave romans chapter 9 he tells us emphatically that the law of the covenants was given not to the gentiles but it is given and it is for the yahudine uh well romans chapter one that um that salvation itself is for the yahoo deen first and then the greek so it's very specific but you have to understand the language of the bible and who the covenant is with now can other nations be a part of the commonwealth of israel absolutely but they don't replace israel that is incongruous with the bible that goes against all of the litany of scriptures you're going to learn like romans 11 romans 9 jeremiah chapter 31 the scripture says as long as there is a a sun he's called the ordinances as long as there are stars as long as there is a moon israel can never be replaced so yah doesn't change his mind he's the same yesterday and today and forever more according to hebrews 13. so we're going to look at that and teach you how to defend that so you also learn you know romans chapter 6 verse 14 how to defend that we're going to learn the importance in terms of how to defend ephesians 2 uh hebrews chapter 7 verse 12 and the list goes on so alicia did you get the scripture yet romans chapter 10. yes okay could you read that for me um verse one until what verse no romans chapter 10 verse four verse four okay uh for christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth there we have it alicia christ done away with the law is that correct so what's this okay alicia how do you defend that um i can only defend about what i believe because i do not believe that he um is the end of the law i believe that he actually anticipated in the law but i believe he's the end of it so are you sure so is christ the end of the law and it's just for alicia thank you alicia for allowing us to use you tonight thank you you're welcome is christ the end of the law um i do not believe so okay so that's why you're taking this class right so that you can know how to defend how to defend the faith right so just really quickly and then we will attempt to have class tonight that is always our our goal uh to do that so romans chapter 10 verse four so really quickly could you go to jane chapter five there's a james five let's get james chapter i'm going to get it with you so we can read together in context james chapter 5. let's look at sorry my laptop is acting weird okay no problem james chapter 5 verse 11 could you read that one moment sure james 5 11 says behold we count them happy which endure you have heard of the patience of job and have seen the end of the lord that the lord is very pitiful and of tender mercy wait a minute so romans chapter 10 verse 4 says christ is the end of the law is that correct right so the same word in there so if a christian come to you or someone who's homophobic or a urban apologia apologist come to you and they say hey romans chapter 10 verse 4 christ did away with that law the law is the yoke of bondage you all are back in bondage romans chapter 10 verse 4 how do you defend that well you just want to give them that say okay let's play their game you always want to try to give them the benefit of the doubt because what you're going to do is something called the bible is what we call interpretive methodology everybody say that interpretive methodology methodology means the bible interprets itself so roma of james chapter 5 verse 11 says that joe's patience is the end of who the lord okay so if the law is done away with if that's what they were again need to do away with so god or the lord or yah or yahuwah is done away with simply because job had patience that's nonsensical isn't it it is okay um in fact get um first peter chapter one verse nine okay first peter one nine yes receiving the end of your faith even the even the salvation of your souls right so you don't need faith because it's the end of your faith is that correct notice it's the same greek word talos t-e-l-o-s tell us the same one in romans chapter ten verse four that's the same one in james chapter five verse eleven it's the same one in peter chapter one verse nine and i have a half a dozen others that use the word telos now that means if there's no more law there's no more god and there's no more god there's no more faith is that correct so this word in is the greek word tell us tell us means is the goal it is the objective now let's read it in context christ is the objective of the law right so we don't follow christ to get to the law we follow the law to get to the christ christ the law is our school master it's our tutor it is to ultimately point us to him james chapter 5 verse 11. it ain't because job endured is the end of god no it means that it was yah's objective it was his goal for job to endure what he endured you see how now we just use literary criticism and textual criticism break out the proper meaning of that and buckle your seat belts folks because we have a thousand more to go i have a quick question sure i i have the seifer should i not read the seifer for this class because a secret said gold yes yeah see first is as i know some people are have this disdain uh but should i get my keep my kgb for this class because for this class yes because again you're trying to understand from the perspective of those individuals who are going to oppose you and most of the time they're going to use nsb and iv kgv they're going to use those versions okay does that help someone out just by going over that okay great all right so let's go to let's start here all right okay so we're on the course syllabus um so again we're gonna give key points of scriptures and facts about several topics uh to learn to apply to share and to ultimately defend the truth with your family with detractors with unbelievers so if you can remember key points in each of our classes is going to improve your chances to effectively share the truth of the scriptures and who the real hebrews of the scriptures are today we're also going to you'll be able to explain pagan practices and help defend the faith that was once delivered to the saints so the royal conquest is going to guide us on this journey so we actually do all get ready pack your get your backpacks ready get your hiking shoes on uh get all your survival tools and mechanisms you're gonna need we're gonna go on a journey over the next eight weeks so as dr uh kenneth jones uh mentioned earlier first peter chapter 3 verse 15 this is going to be the prefaces for this class and then it is of course um exhort us it exhorts us to be prepared to give an answer to anyone and everyone who asks you to give a reason for hope that you have and to do so i want to put emphasis on with gentleness and respect so this class is also will also equip you to respond to basic objections to the hebrew awakening commonly known as the truth right so we use this lingo the truth we're in the truth or the awakening so what are we going to defend we need to know first of all what are we defending is ethnicity salvidic salvidic means salvation or sometimes we use the term sorteriology soteriology so is is heritage a um soteriological or a sovidic issue do you make it into the kingdom just because you're ethnicity no no no so it's not a vedic issue but are we going to defend our ethnicity in this class are we going to learn how to defend it yes absolutely what else what else are we defending in this class the law the law absolutely so we have our heritable rights we have the law what else are we defending culture okay culture is very important absolutely thank you for saying that culture is very important we're defending culture because culture is observable worship isn't it yes absolutely i should be able to look at you and know based on your culture who are what you serve yes sir i should be able to look at the sabbath you're keeping the sabbath i know who and what you serve because the sabbath is a market is identifiable marker so what you do in your culture is an identifiable marker as to who or what you worship culture is observable worship okay what else are you defending faith okay what do you mean by faith faith what we believe in okay sound doctrine absolutely what else are we defending we are defending the hebraic context of the scriptures so the the the way that the understanding through the lens of a hebraic um understanding okay okay okay great absolutely anyone else our faith he just said he said that he's hurt yeah our faith okay you said that okay let's look at what we're going to be defending all right so we are going to be defending the sora the besora we're going to learn that tonight so you can have the proper meaning of the sora as we move forward number two we're going to be defending missionism you might know what messianism is belief in the messiah that's the messiah we're going to defend that because there's a growing daniel chapter 12 verse 2 says what did someone get that for me daniel chapter 12 verse 2. daniel chapter 12 verse 2 and many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt that's right so in this awakening process notice that prophecy carries this dualistic and double meaning so prophecy is always for and we'll talk about that it's not just um static or stagnant i'm sorry it's just not stagnant so it uh it it prophecy came to pass in that day but it also is futuristic dealing with either messianic ancient messianic prophetic scriptures or what we call eschatological prophetic scriptures eschatological means that which deals with the end times eschatological all right so you're going to hear that several times in this class particularly when we deal with the rapture deception you're going to hear eschatological eschatological um so yeah so absolutely so some people are going to during this awakening some people are waking up they're leaving christianity and most people are messianic this messianism but there are some people are awakening to shame and condemnation they are waking up and say we no longer believe in the new testament we no longer believe in christ all right so that's they that's this anti-messianism message number three we're gonna learn how to defend the law someone said we also gotta learn how to defend the commandments now can you can you keep all the commandments yes or no no anyone else can we keep all the commandments um yes but you have some that are for women and you know you just you should be able to keep them though you just don't have to worry about the ones that are for a particular um so some people say no we should be able to keep all the commandments is that correct no so so a cody debbie mora debbie responded moray brown responded anyone else can we keep all of the law all the commandments i would say that because there's ten commandments we can keep the commandments or there's a better chance we can keep the commandments but the laws at 613 i think there's some in there that may not pertain to our current situation so i'm sorry and what's go ahead daddy go ahead okay all of them but the sacrificial okay so let me respond to each of you matter of fact uh henry what is the difference between commandments and law uh the way i look at it is if we say like with the the constitution we have the bill of rights and we got the first 13 and then the remaining part of the constitution is you know the law so in this case here i'm thinking of 613 of the laws but there's 10 of the main laws we need to keep which are the commandments okay so while you're doing that get matthew chapter 5 verse 18 for me that was wrong okay i got a quick question while he's pulling it up.com i have a quick question while he's pulling that up no problem uh look when it when it comes to the prophets uh does that fall into messianism because we understand that everything points to hamashiach with with the with the prophets uh point to him will be part of messianism said it one more time all right i'm sorry uh what would the prophets the the uh the revelations of the prophets in which at which they spoke to israel uh concerning you know prophecy you know you mentioned eschatological right um would that fall under messiah messianism and what that fall under uh yes messianism so all of the prophets spoke about a we're gonna look at that um hopefully before we end tonight all of the prophets spoke um about the uh about the messiah so when we read luke chapter 24 and 44 it says what read that for me pat really quickly or someone uh luke 24 and 44. just a second and he said unto them these are the words which i spake unto you while i was yet with you that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of moses this was written where in the law moses continued and in the prophets and in the prophets and in the psalms in the psalms like the psalms division ii psalms division activity all speak they are ancient messianic passages of scripture concerning me concerning me so they all speak so yes so either the prophets are speaking about um some condition um and they're demonstrating the law again all of the prophets spoke the law because if they did not if they were not if they were incongruous with the law then they did not pass the deuteronomy chapter 13 litmus tests and if they added to it they did not pass in deuteronomy chapter 4 verse 2 litmus test you should not add to the word you do not take a paper how we know someone is using the most high and sent by the most high are individuals who are regurgitating and they are recapitulating the law so henry did you get matthew chapter 5 verse 18 yes for verily i say unto you till heaven and earth pass and jot or one title o tittle shall in no wise no wise pass from the law from the commandment or the law law okay so that means um look outside did you still see a sky outside okay so as long as we have the sky up there yeah no no jot or tittle should be removed from the law who said that who is let's look at that contextually who who who mentioned those words this is yeshua yeah sure right he mentioned those words so i want you to understand that this law is still here so to answer your question with specificity everybody can keep all of the law what are you talking about willis we cannot do all of the law mashiach kept all the law but he didn't do all of the law right the word kept means shamar which means i guard it i guard it you can keep the law but you can't do all of the law because some of the law as debbie said some of the laws for women some of the deals specifically for agriculture some of the deals if we are in jerusalem so there there's specificity so we can't do all of the law but we can keep all of the law yes we defend it we guard it we protect it like we protect the shabbat we guard it yeah go ahead hear me i'm sorry so in this case here when we say that we keep all the laws that means that we possess them correct right but then we can't act out all of them because they don't pertain right right i mean if that's right okay that's correct if you go to a verse down masjid didn't say for those who keep and do all right but we have to get into that at a different time because we are to do works john first john is lavish was explaining to us that we do the works james said we do works paul said we do works but most people do not understand paul's writings so the difference between a commandment and law when you look at commandments even in the new testament you will find it is a term in toledo you're going to learn this when we go through defending the law in tole in tolai just it means urban way of saying the law it's just a colloquialism if you will for saying the law it's the same thing i remember one christian thought that they had um um i guess one argument um by using adhonumens and then they bought up and said well nope because commandments and laws we are you know jesus gave us new commandments and that's inconsistent with the bible that's inconsistent with john chapter 12 verse 49 inconsistent with with with john chapter 7 verse 16 you see how i'm spewing all these scriptures because because that's what you should do when you're defending you should know where these scriptures are and so um uh obviously there's no new command according to first john we know that masjid said i didn't i have no doctrine the doctrine i have is not my own and so again he only come to speak the commandments of his father according to john chapter 12 49. there's no new doctrine yeah someone had a hand up yeah i was asking i'll go ahead go ahead sorry um i was going to ask how much of the hebrew language will you get into in the class because it it definitely of what we're seeing is there's a definite difference in interpretation so like when you say keep we our minds instantly go to the english meaning of that but to guard it to protect it that's totally different it is it is it is so the writers of the um of the bible what was their ethnicity hebrew hebrew they were all right hebrew majority of them were hebrew now there are some and we'll get into that for those in my scripture interpretation applies we'll get into that as well and look at whether or not some of them were a forgiveness but everybody in the tanakh were hebrew now does it does it does it matter whether they were as an israelite or they was hebrew um so so we all are everybody is a technically a israelite but not everybody is a yahoodii people could be hebrews but not all hebrews or israelites right right right that's correct this one right that's correct because as i understand it uh was joe actually esau oh no okay yeah no i don't want to go there yeah okay um yeah so yeah yeah that's my spiritual interpretation class the job actually exists [Music] what no what i mean too so okay yeah well joe actually is mentioned in fact um we just had a coach uh we just had a coty alicia just read about job right joe's patience um so this in fact job is mentioned several times in the brit heart of shaw or the new testament but did job actually use this so we're going to go back and look at the um we're going to look at the mesoretic text we're going to look at the hebrew text and we're going to look at that so if someone just had to remind me of this class let's talk about joe okay so we'll talk about that and we're going to get you precepts on that okay all right so we're going to talk about sound doctor we're going to talk about heritage moving forward so how do we define the awakening you need to know what you're defending how do we define the awakening messianism the law of commandment sound doctrine and heritage equal awakening okay so that that's how we defend it you should define it oh yeah i'm sorry to find it yes that's correct i'm sorry your previous your previous slide said that's what equaled the awakening okay okay but how do you define i would definitely awaken in um as this point where you realize that although you've been reading it you haven't consciously been reading what you're seeing there and you realize that you haven't actually critically thought about any of it because you had never thought about who was writing the context and who they were talking to that's right that's correct and therefore now we have a greek process because that's what we are we can't understand here break thought press process but something in you is telling you something ain't right that's when you're starting to awake that's what i would call that week that's right absolutely absolutely very great absolutely in fact i also often use the story of rip fen weapon and so rip then we go of course went into the mountain for 20 years and he went to sleep for 20 years and when he went up to the mountain to sleep there was a picture of king george iii of england but when he came down 20 years later he saw a sign of george washington the first president of the united states and so it wasn't that he slept but he slept through a revolution while he was asleep there was a revolution taking place many of us are sleeping of our people are sleeping through the awakening there is a revolution that's taken place whenever you speak truth admit universal deceit is a revolutionary act there is a paradigm we are now looking at the scriptures as not just something to be venerated remember this that the bible is not just the tool to be venerated but it is a paradigm to be replicated we're now seeing the bible through noun through through different lands it all started with us realizing that we are the people of the book when you realize and you are now cognizant that you are the people of the book and abraham isaac and y'all cold that these are your ancestors you look at the bible with different lands how you now your perspective of the bible changes completely and so um the awakening again um too many of us are just sleeping through this revolution i won't go through the first great awakening that that was a eurocentric construct um i won't go through the second great awakening but many people call this movement what is now being officially labeled as is the third great awakening and this is taking place outside of the christian context notice the first great awakening and the second great awakening took place within the confines are within the context of the the the christian context itself the christian paradigm but but now this is something that's taking place outside of traditional christianity and so however because it's taking place outside of the christian context most christians are not familiar with it so what do they do they demonize it they vilify it just like the messiah said what happened you're going to be hated for my namesake christianity is the number one religion in the world only um islam is only second to that right it is the largest rhythm in the world and in most places you're not being persecuted in most places you're being celebrated to be a christian only in some remote places are there persecuted there are some persecutions going on but these are in very remote places but for the most part it's popular to be a christian but you don't see they're being celebrated they're not being vilified so this third great awakening obviously is what we've commonly referred to as the hebrew awakening it is an increase in spiritual interest and renewal of truth of the scriptures not the tradition of man it's about rediscovering the true israel so that we can read and view the scriptures through his proper prophetic lands this is a massive this awakening is a massive repentance to shiva back to the torah or taurus i should say the torah the law and the commandments on a global scale so from our hand the great awakening and i'm pretty sure other hebrew communities we get letters we get inquiries we get emails we get inboxes from from virtually every continent on on the earth here i mean we get there is a number from australia we get it from the islands of the sea we get it from uh from um from thailand we get it from everywhere our people are scattered and the awakening is happening right so let me fast forward through this here richard you have your hand up well how i'm just gonna say when you were reading that it's you know you were saying from the um you know um the we're reading it the last slide you just had up there it brought me to remembering see the words uh for me that i was reading every time was like a word like forever right keep the sabbath forever that's right but here in the christian church i'm saying it's over with i'm preaching this whole but the words say forever i'm just not paying attention because i'm asleep yep that's right so let me show you a question are we going to keep the sabbath in the kingdom of course absolutely are we going to keep the feast days in the kingdom absolutely absolutely this is why paul says in colossian colossians chapter 2 let no man judge you concerning the festivals concerning the sabbaths and concerning the new moons for they are what they are a shadow of things to come and we can take you to a number of precepts that says isaiah jeremiah zephaniah they all prophesied when we get into the kingdom we're going to keep the feast days so that's why they are called rehearsals is what we call mikra mikra is the hebrew term which means a it is a rehearsal for a public future event that's what it means to practice or to observe or to memorialize the feast days for if you're going to do it in the kingdom but most people don't read revelation they don't read eschatological books they don't read daniel you're going to practice the feast days in the kingdom so it sounds nonsensical to see that our ancestors in the tanakh or the old testament kept the feasts that somehow we know that mashiach kept the feasts we read all of acts we know that paul and the apostles kept the feast days but somehow christians say nope the feast days are ceremonial laws and we no longer have to keep those so it's almost like a clapping clap on clap off the clapper so all of a sudden that now that the christ come the mosque high turns on feast days he didn't turn them off but when you get into the kingdom you're going to turn them back on that makes no sense so is it so anything that yah does he does on those appointed days is that correct he doesn't uh do anything outside of those appointed days i'm going to prove that to you all as well anything he does on a major scale he does it within the context of his moabs his appointed feast days i want to prove that to you culturally the feast days existed long before moses gave us the written version of them i'm gonna take you back to abraham take it back a lot and show you they kept the feast the moed deans are the most high okay so this is a massive uh percentage of african americans and others who are responding to this moving they're leaving christianity believing the pagan practices behind um this is happening in urban settings and rural settings all across the world uh people are returning back to the scriptures they are becoming shrewd scholars they're being exegetes of the scriptures they're preaching the besort of the kingdom and are dispelling centuries of regurgitated doctrinal lies that christianity and islam has forced on our people as we continue we see there are scores of us that's now making a connection with our heritage in order to preach the besora we're going to look at the sword momentarily here i'm trying to peruse through these here um because i want to give you a framework of what we call prolagomina so that you can understand these things right so but with this awakening notice that there is a revival happening there's a resurgence happening this is now an opportunity to spread down the besora without all the paganism of christianity now that doesn't change prophetess your ability to prophesy your ability to see into things that doesn't change the dynamic of who you are we still operate in the gifts of the ruach that doesn't change anything but what it does now we are now we are practicing the faith through the lens of sound doctrine now so this is happening on college campuses it's happening in prisons dr dr reed is happening in the entertainment arena is what i call the five e's it's happening within the ecclesiastical settings it's happening within the entertainment arena it's happening with an educational arena it's happening within the in the economic arena and it's happening within the electoral community or arena the five e's we begin to now see the awakening taking place so i'm going to peruse through all of this these slides will be in your uh in moodle so you can go there and look at all of these if you want a working knowledge in terms of what the awakening is about we are rediscovering our hebrew heritage we are returning back to the scriptures we're doing research manuscripts we're looking at historical documents etc now lightweight research uh they did a study on how many african americans were um were aware and abreast as to this awakening and 62 said they were not familiar and this was done two years ago so it may have changed um and so that means four percent only four percent of the people consider themselves to be hebrews 62 percent said we're not familiar with it we're not familiar with it at all um another 34 34 another 34 said you know what um we are aware of it but we can care less only four percent of us consider ourselves hebrews that's it so that means a majority of african-americans are bored of their understanding of their connection to the people of the scriptures and how biblical history is uniquely their history so most people don't have a setting where biblical scholarship can go on that can correct false doctrines in the hebrew settings so that's why we started the hebrew academy that's why we're doing some things here now so we can begin to prepare people and awaken them to their spiritual stupor so let's look at the psychological and mental stages of the awakening really quickly um someone tell me uh quickly what are what are some of the stages if you will of the awakening you have to go through just using one word anger anger okay depression lonely lonely somebody said depression yes psychosis is the real thing in this community continues could you repeat the question right what are just mentioned give me one word one word in terms of to explain some of the stages you went through during your awakening process disbelief sadness madness okay oh yeah um and then ultimately grateful okay grateful that's a good one okay anyone else excitement again excitement excitement okay that's a good one disappointment disappointment absolutely misery misery okay understanding understanding so i got a book coming out the um i got many transcripts if you will but uh but uh i uh which need to be converted into books let's look at some of the things that i identified in terms of stages of the awakening number one you go through cognitive dissonance or denial that's the first stage right so i explain this a much deeper if you all want a excerpt of my book if you don't share with anyone else if you want it just for this class i'll give it to you okay so that because i go in detail in terms of each of these stages so and i'm developing this um i'm developing this uh to survey slash mental assessment associated with this here so cognitive dissonance denial then you go through a place of inquiry you begin to ask questions things don't line up friday 3 p.m to sunday 6 a.m doesn't add up to three days which goes against matthew chapter 12 verse 40. when christ said i'm going to be in a grade three days three four days three four nights it goes against what he says in john that there is 12 hours in a day and 12 hours a night so you begin to have inquiries you begin to ask questions then you find out because your pastor and and your spiritual practitioners cannot answer some of those questions you become frustrated sometimes with that frustration comes aggression because the awakening can invoke a very aggressive emotion as morey cook would say a very aggressive emotion you take the ru akaka dish to give you temperance and to give you balance over the course of time because you're infuriating that you've been lied to all these years the christian church has lied to you right this system and that's what the christian church is really just being the way we do catholicism i mean do we do communion or the eucharist um the way we do most of everything stems from catholicism the christian church is the daughter or a by extension of catholicism but most people don't understand it history the reformed traditions didn't want to um do away with catholicism they just wanted to reform it right it just reformed catholicism if you are a christian and you are practicing the liturgical practices on sunday and all the things you're doing your mother is the catholic church sorry then of course we go through acceptance you begin to accept this what it is then we can go through a very zealous moment of blowing the trumpet i want to wake everybody up your family your mother them uh bobo snake pookie ray raymond you want everybody to wake up but what are you meant with rejection isolation people don't want to deal with you more they don't say praise the lord anymore people don't want they don't call you no more people think you're crazy now people talking about you behind your back now there are people are now distancing themselves from you they don't like your post you don't have to be a religious post anymore it can be something about your children they don't like it anymore they don't want to be identified with you anymore you go through this point of rejection you don't left the lord that's right falling away that dr howard dr howard then he's possessed with demons now right right and then we go through a process of testing nothing is meaningful unless you go through a test you're going to be deeply tested in what you believe you're going to go through a testing period a testing period all right next one is um you're going to go through doubting is this really true what if i'm wrong no i can't be wrong what if i'm so you're going through a doubting process you begin to doubt doubt and this is where darude said my foot almost slipped so you begin to doubt but then all of a sudden you get this reassurance after you've been tested after you go through a doubting process you now are reinsured in what you believe you get your strength back you're not confident now and that's where maturation and growth comes in it's only at the maturation to grow because you're making mistakes right we can be zealous we can really hurt christians right it's not them just hurting us but we can say some things like y'all going to hell y'all missing a mark we can be aggressive right we can down the christian church a lot speak against it and some of us still do sometimes we're not speaking against the people it's the system but because the people are married to the system they think it's a personal attack against them it's only then after maturation and growth that you become a skilled apologist so let's look at some of the religious and opposing views or responses let me look at this time here okay um religious and opposing responses somebody give me some of the opposing responses you get from those individuals who are detractors or naysayers or two is adamantly against the hebrew awakening said again you know you're a gentile okay you're a gentile yeah absolutely we gentiles you're the real jews are white you know you're not no jew that's correct it's all about jesus jesus only yeah all about jesus that's correct that's right misunderstanding the scriptures say it again misunderstanding the scriptures you're misunderstanding yes yeah that's cool don't really say that yeah that's true y'all prejudice and racist y'all president that's right right when it comes to the food it's not what goes in the mouth that that defiles a man but what comes out that's right absolutely that's a good one that's a good one the the attacks the attacks of the uh the oscar nice jews with the hollywood and music and everything yeah absolutely every every day is sabbath every day is savage that's right that's what all the heritage don't matter it's the blood it don't matter ain't no culling in jesus that's right that's right we're only one in christ we're all one in christ so it doesn't matter what you are exactly yeah that's what you're hearing one there's absolutely uh absolutely so there is a plethora of responses that we get take a look at some of these here obviously so what difference does it make it doesn't make any difference it doesn't matter as long as his blood was red i don't care what color he is he's whatever color love is this stem from deep deep cultural psychosis this is culture of psycho we'll talk about that salvation is not the only thing that we should be concerned about i mean salvation is the only thing we should be concerned about not identity or color these are non-subverting issues or christ's done away with the law you can't keep all of the law anyways and so these are some of the deeds so what we go through is obviously i think some of the greatest threat to our culture is why does it matter people all right because they they represent an age where truth is biblically irrelevant and relative to personal interpretation so we don't care about the truth of the scriptures because it interferes with our regurgitated dogma it interfere what i've been believing my entire life that's what cognitive dissonance does content of dissonance is you provide all the truth you can to people you give them an overwhelming um overwhelming evidential support you have empirical facts and you put it before their face and they still become dismissive or they get uncomfortable and so truth is biblically irrelevant to them they don't care so they condition to pass it off to pass off accuracy for comfort they like to be comfortable they don't care about how what truth is they want comfort it's not that people don't have access to the truth because we have now with the click of our finger we have access to information we are in a technology age now but most people just don't want to hear the truth they want the doctrines of lies so obviously um i won't go through all of that veracity for forklore correctness for all wise fable but the topic of identity is extremely important so i'm going to put this in moodle because i want you to read this i want you to see that we must afford individuals who are waking up to their identity most people who are of color who are resistance who oppose as a resistance or an obstruction to you learning your identity they are really are purveyors or they are perpetuating white supremacy they do not everybody else can know christ and their culture but the moment we begin to rediscover our culture all of a sudden is the rise of theology it's racial superiority we hate everybody we are this is this group of this terrorist group right so we gotta afford our ancestors we gotta afford uh individuals who are waking up with the chance to express this biblical and historical truth and encourage them to openly live and out why because there's too much scientific proof there's anthropological truth there are genetic testings there's corroborating accounts there's manuscript evidence there's dna evidence there's prophetic consistency that is most that's that that's too important for this topic to disappear it's too important we can't just throw that away so however when overwhelming corroborating evidence proves that even mashiach was a man of color all of a sudden race and identity are markers that should be avoided by his color doesn't matter so is what i call historical site i'm sorry cultural psychosis or intrinsic misidentification it is self-hate it is self-hate and so this is called the stockholm syndrome i will put all this all of my slides and powerpoints are yours when you take this class these are yours forever share it share it in your assemblies share with your family share do a teaching on social media this i tell people copy my information i put it together copy it just copy it right you get it copy it right okay some of you only get it later all right copyright all right so there are scores of us obviously we went over this here so while salvation is and should be the cheap focus it's not the only topic of the bible i don't care how many people getting saved over there i don't care about that hebrew stuff y'all getting saved over there how many folks coming to christ over there and so what happens is people have to consider eschatological happiness there's prophetic events there's ecclesiastical ecclesia ecclesiological events that is going on there there is a number of things events and activities that is going on biblically within the framework of the bible that people tend to ignore so here's why i matter it matters because of biblical accuracy we want to be accurate when it comes to the bible number two historical accuracy you can't throw away these these thousands of years of history just to fit your paradigm of what you believe white supremacy is another reason why it matters and biblical prophecy so when people say why does it matter you see you can say because biblical accuracy because of historical accuracy because and that's people does the truth matter most people say yes the truth does matter so shouldn't we be accurate when it comes to the bible should we be accurate when it comes to historical cultural context of the bible shouldn't we be accurate when it comes to what our oppressor has done to us and it doesn't matter does biblical prophecy matter to you right so um i put all this in here in terms of what the bible is is more than just a collection of laws parables narratives and inspirational texts it's a history book but most people don't see that most people have the joe hosting uh td jakes there's a champion in you um get ready get ready get ready get ready get ready get ready uh you you're about to go to the next level all you do is win win win no matter what and so it's this is the philosophical inspiration and most people are not aware that the bible is a history book because they don't want to tell if you don't understand it's a history book you don't understand the historical cultural context but again it's been hijacked you all can read about that as we go on so i always say that heritage and identity are steam builders for marginalized people groups you most african americans don't know where they come from they don't have a heritage beyond 1619 that they can celebrate and so any connection to significant historical events brings much-needed celebration for individuals who are oppressed in fact first century hebrews understood they understood and they were aesthetic that one of their own a kinsmen redeemer will come to emancipate them that's why y'all always choose somebody from among you to deliver you if he's going to emancipate the people you're always going to choose someone from your own ethnicity to do it that's part of his makeup particularly when it comes to israel right so denying negroes of the historical roots is much more sinister than slavery itself so historically it matters um so certain accurate history be important to oppressed people certainly it should so this is not just about restoration and the recovery of truth but this is a recovery of all truth so i'm going to bypass some of this here i'm going to look at a term the white supremacy why because where christianity has spread throughout the world guess what following racism racism so few ethnic groups can claim foul from this cultural aftershock more than us who are people of color so when we talk about the paintings the the picture of a white christ a white messiah is a it's the worst it iconography that has been introduced to our people because it does more psychological damage because if somehow subconsciously if the messiah is white if god is white what does that do to me who i don't have the same same um unhealed unmelonated skin i don't look like him what does that do to my subconscious what did it do to me psychologically that makes you feel inferior make you feel inferior that's right so painting and images have a powerful impact on our perception of reality that's why the in the new testament it says when you deny the humanity of the messiah that it is um it is the antichrist or it is uh you are falling to deception when you deny his humanity we have to begin to get a accurate picture of his humanity let's look at some of these ancient pictures of hebrews notice that this whitenization is really a western construct by the way most of these pictures are in europe these are ancient pictures of the hebrews of the scripture notice afros notice the noses look at these iron rubies cornrows nobody wear cornrows like us look at look at the afros and the the beards we used to call those back in the day um naps you all probably call it something different today but phoebe shops all right uh et cetera all right so we see the picture goes on and on look at st jerome of the latin vulgate bible he's a man of color of negro descent this is in greece the virgin mary this is in greece as well there's others that's in greece dealing with the tree of jesse that goes all the way down to the martial dealing with the genealogy this is in europe notice all in europe in greece notice say benedict in fact there is an order within catholicism the benedict order and it's a black man in fact we don't see a white saint until the medieval period the 1500s notice this is in russian schools and russia they're identified they have the messiah as a negro in a czech republic as a negro notice as a negro look at the negro negro features so you see why it's important to demonstrate the truth this is the czech republic as well so what does that mean if these people encounter us if they've grown up and seeing us that when they see us they they they know who we are so they would why would they react the way they do well you'll find that yeah that's true i mean i think because america and there's um and the the power of militarism and the power of racism and the power of of uh you know economics have all influences here um is to hide who we are as psalms division 83 says that there will be a confederate against us the nations will come together to secretly hide who we are and mashiach i mean in the most high said because of our disobedience he's going to remove the heritage that he gave us that a ox would know his master but israel would not consider we will lose our identity we will lose who we are look who the paul praying to everybody look at the image look at the picture there so this whole white and niceation of the mashiach and mary and the saints it's just really a western construct let's continue this is switzerland why are all these images all over europe have the messiah and mary are madonna oh let's get deeper let's go to france this is in france isn't that similar and uh um taboos say it again isn't that simaramus and tammuz so this is the egyptian mythology um so a lot of this depends on the synchronization or secretism i'm sorry sycretism so a lot of was syncretism it was mixed with egyptian mythology taboos but it was also mixed with the madonna or christ in mary so you'll see both of those stories are very similar we're going to teach you maybe i need to add that too how do you defend egyptology i think we're going to add that as well all right so dr howard i got a question sure so a lot of this uh as for you know seeing these sculptures uh being of color throughout europe um things like that but wasn't there a change due to a difference in caucasians and anglo-saxon anglo-saxon period um basically established that yeah um yeah but that start you begin to see those images no no you begin to see those images in the uh in the medieval period yeah yeah particularly around between 1300s and the 1600s you begin to see a lot of that yeah because in like russia and places like that eastern europe caucasians are kind of looked down upon even now southern russia that's right yeah that's very very true very true but most of us have our heritage has been taken away from us this is in poland it's in poland notice this is in anybody remember the cathedral of notre dame that burned that one two years ago notice with the image of the messiah in mary this is here and the list goes on i'm gonna bore you over all these let me skip over all of these whatever way samson and the lion wall i have thousands and thousands of images just wanted to show you a little bit about iconography and so that's why talk about these backgrounds into this ethocentric paradigm where white men sit at the top holding the icon of a white god so it makes a political statement which says god is white so that's why it's important that it matters because if not we're going to continue to perpetuate this white supremacy right so there's over there overwhelming evidence that the messiah and the biblical hebrews are negroid we are bond twos right thousands of years of christian history we almost never see a black person portrayed in a biblical narrative so it does matter because if not you're going to continue to perpetuate this white centric view that is historically flawed all right so i won't go over all of these here but our oppressors have taken everything else from us but now they want to silence us in terms of the rediscovery of who we are so there's prophetic events as well so we got to look at in terms of prophetic events right we can't just use it doesn't matter to categorically dismiss biblical prophetic history and events because the scripture says when we get to supersessionism or replacement theology you're going to see all the prophetic scriptures that portray pertains to who you are and so that which has is and will occur with and amongst the descendants of the biblical hebrews in the end times essentially important to the biblical text you can't just erase that because whether the bible says the bible says watch these people if you want to know what's going to befall in the end times you got to watch these people but if you don't know who the people are then you're going to have a very misconstrued view of the bible itself so if you don't know who the sinners are the ancient descendants of the or the descendants of the progenitors of the bible in modernity then fictitious and irrelevant narratives are imagined out of this scripture text right scriptorial text so um you become clueless of major end-time prophetic events and his connection to the scriptures if you don't know who physical israel is today you risk the chance of not optimizing biblical understanding you understand the bible more because only one people that fits the prophetic narrative of the scriptures biblical accuracy as well we don't have time to get into this but we'll get into textual criticism literary consume biblical accuracy it matters it matters so what time is it you all got about 13 more minutes i got 13 more minutes yeah okay um all right i think it's about supper time for all right let's okay um what is hebrew apologetic so hebrew apologetics obviously is it deals with the defense and establishment of the hebrew faith hebrew apologetics is something every true believer should be involved in again we read the scripture in first peter chapter 3 verse 15 we have to give a defense for everyone who acts or and to give an account for the hope that is in you of course we have to do it with gentleness and reverence so apologetics is the work of convincing people to teshuva that is to repent and return to the law statues besora and the king of israel so you will see that's why this word gospel is a pagan term and it really waters down the significance of what the pesori is i'm going to show you how which preface associated with that momentarily so therefore hebrew apologetics that deals with answering any and all critics who oppose or question who the hebrews are the torah the revelation of yahushua it includes studying subjects a biblical manuscript transmissions and i have a myriad of manuscript transmissions for you philosophy biology mathematics evolution and logic and so but it can also consist of simply giving an answer to a question about yahusha or bible passage the latter case is far more common and you don't have to read a tongue of books however we are going to engage in hebrew apologetics hebrew apologetics is the work of convincing people to toshiba to the law statues besora and the king of israel so we have to understand what hebrew apologetics is not it's not the art of getting really good at saying i'm sorry that's not what apologetics is right it's not saying apologizing but apology or apologia means to defend so the art is not the art of intellectually forcing unbelievers into a submission hole that's not what apologetics are is not arguing about how many angels can stand on a pen that's not apologetics right good theological debate but it's not apologetic it's not wearing tassels and head wraps that's not apologetics so the definition of apologetics is that which attempts to give a rational right not just based on your emotions right because we have what we call the tripartite we are tripartite people we have we are governed by ration right that which is rational we are governed also the second part of us are governed by our emotions we make decisions out of our emotions and sometimes that's not rational and then of course we make it based off out of what we call the appetite we have an appetite apatitive is where you get the word appetite from it's based on our flesh so we don't make it based on our emotions we make decisions based on emotions but apologetics is rational defense it's not your emotionalism because your opinion doesn't count it's only what the scripture says it's rational defense of the hebrew faith it's also apologetic is given a reason for why you believe what you believe but if you don't know what you believe you can defend it right so the english word for apologetics of course is uh comes from the greek word apologia which means to give a reason to defend don't worry about taking notes everyone this is going to be in moodle for you you will have this in your possession forever all right so in hebrew apologist is someone who defends the original faith once delivered to the saints you're not defending the christian narrative you're defending the original faith the difference between christianity and this hebrew and the hebrew paradigm is the fact that we follow and we believe the entire scripture right we believe the entire scripture not just new testament we believe the entire scripture so why should we do apologetics why number one because the bible commands us but it recommends us to do it through humility and importance of love right so why should we do apologetics um jude chapter three tells us that i felt the net you felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend what earnestly for the faith which was once all handed down to the saints so uh that's important that we do that but it has to be coupled with mercy and with love we have to demonstrate mercy and love when we're doing this so even yahusha gave evidence for his claims you can't just say oh no i ain't gonna defend nothing okay believe what you want to believe there's times when you've got to defend defend what you believe yahushua gave evidence of that of his fulfillment of prophecy miracles resurrection healing corrected false interpretations of the scriptures he always would say you have heard it being said but i say unto you notice that notice that whenever you find in the brit harness on the in this in the new testament where it says you have heard it being said notice the following words but i say unto you he was correcting false interpretations of the scripture notice paul did it too paul philosophy he used philosophy like he never used it before when he was among on mars hill now he was dealing with great thought and greek ideology and so that was important there he quotes even pagan poets he used pagan poets to display the besora um and we see it as well he also defended yahusha in the synagogue he uh false teachers within the assemblies of galatians and first corinthians as well um and these people who were dogs as he called them and corinthians or these individuals were said that you had to be circumcised circumcision was obligatory in order to to make it into the kingdom or to be saved um so he had to defend that as well um so his mission of course he defended uh the confirmation of the of the basar we see that all throughout philippians as well so notice this criteria for defending or we're installing elders right installing elements i hear people you know not only keep the community we don't need to be on nobody we don't need to teach nobody listen stay away from that rhetoric because that goes against the hebrew culture you don't call yourself you don't self-appoint yourself as a leader not in israel because you're accounted you are accountable to the community it ain't about well i'm just going to study and i'm going on my own and i'm just going to develop my own that if that's that's that's heresy that is inconsistent with the bread thought i kind of that's why the bible talks about in judges chapter 17 18 19 and 20 the days of gabia the days of the media are when the people were lawless the scripture says they had no king so everybody did as they fit if you can't follow authority here you're gonna have a hard time in the kingdom so that's why it's very important so paul no one just called themselves elders by themselves they were installed so what people what i do not do i don't verify your call i just help prepare you for your call you get it so that's what even great awakening does what we do we don't verify your call that's between you and the most high we just prepare you for your call paul told timothy he said to be thoroughly furnished for the work and which i have for you to do it is asinine to think that no i'm just going to be unilateral that's inconsistent but notice what he tells him i'm sorry about that notice what paul the criteria he said hold fast to the faithful word which is in accordance to or with the teachings so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and watch this to refute those who contradict it so you have to be in position not only to exhort people with sound doctrine but you also have to defend or refute anyone that contradicts it as well you see the necessity of why we should become apologists and the necessity of it so the of course the early assembly they did apologetics we see all of this the even the assembly after the apostles um justin martyrs iranians uh party party car uh tertilian origen all of these people they came against heresies like narcissism aryanism which really promoted this dualism aryan of course promoted that there was two gods there was a god of the old testament it was a god of the new testament the god of the old testament was um was mean and menopausal and schizophrenic and evil and killing everybody but the god of the new testament was lovable turned the other cheek dying for sent his son to die for the world and so they had to even come against these these this this heresy this heretical teaching that was going on whether it's gnosticism which means that we get a spell pressure knowledge to obtain salvation that nobody else have so they have to come against this whole idea so that's why even we we also have to do apologetics right to come against the false claims of courts and religions to prevent doctrinal apostasy and of course to influence have influence in education and media and so on and so forth how does this the kabbalah fit in that is that the same thing uh yeah so um i am totally against the whole um capabilism um so any esoteric uh teachings um and i teach it unfortunately at a um at a uh several college colleges here in detroit area at a university and a community college and uh yes the kabbalah i am against any mysticism of that sort but we'll have the discussion we'll have the discussion okay um so of course the six areas of apologetics when he gets a chance to get to was philosophical apologetics theological apologetics biblical apologetics scientific apologetics religion and cult apologetics there are various ways in terms of how we defend now every awaken believer has a certain style in which he or she um uses when they're sharing faith so every believer has a comfortable tone so this class is also finding your comfortable niche your tone as to how you share the faith the hebraic faith with others some who break um in the hebrew faith are more confrontational some of you are more intellectual i am probably less i can be confrontational but i'm more intellectual in terms of let's get a receipt let's look at some historical information let's pull out uh some of ella healey uglies books let's look at some ancient mania scripts let's see what henry kissinger said um about the igbos let's begin a look in terms of anthropological studies i'm more of my approach is more intellectual so we do have six styles one is confrontational this confront people fears or objections directly they are blunt i'm going to deal with it and i think many of us when we are first awakened i think many of us take on this mindset of being a confrontational apologist i'm not going to go over all this it's going to be in moodle for you there's an intellectual apologist right as i talked about before which often because this we have an intellectual viewpoint and um and so learning becomes the focus right using logic to evangelize and share the truth and we see that in scripture as well i give you some scripture references where there's logical reasons um designed for that some of you have the testimonial apologies right your testimony about how you came into the truth much like shahu did right shah rule said um hey king agrippa he said i i can go and read the text about what david said he said but better than what david said better than the davidic covenant he said let me have a conversation to you listen man i was walking down mac near bewick man i was just chilling i was walking down the street and bam this big light came onto me and said man why are you why are you messing me up why are you fooling with me why are you why are you why you come to persecute me man why you bet i'm saying who are you and then he began to share with me and he said man why are you kicking against the pricks man and he began to share just his personal testimony and here's what king agrippa said you almost persuaded me to become a believer so some of you have the approach to just sharing a testimony because again human experience is very important you can't trade off human experience then of course there's the interpersonal apologies interpersonal apologists are individuals who want to get to know people right minister and witness to them one-on-one um so they kind of have a tailor they tailor their approach to the person's needs kind of like what moshiach did with his followers um with the when he first went to peter you didn't start talking about about the great commission no he didn't talk about taking the basar into the world what do you start talking about he started talking about fish and then he eased the conversation of the great commission in the conversation the woman at the whale the samaritan woman he didn't start talking about worship he started talking about water but then he eased water i'm sorry ease worship into the conversation so these people like to identify and build relationships with people before they minister to them so you might fit that category there's invitational apologies some people say listen i'm just going to invite you i'm invite you to my assembly hey i want to invite you to our assembly gatherings we meet on shabbat i want to invite you so this is an invitational apologies we're going to show you throughout this course how best practices and best ways to hone in and to augment your ability to be an invitational apologist then of course there's a service apologist these people do direct they have a direct missionary approach they're going they're going to love you they're going to feed you it's through service it is taking care of your existential realities come on here baby get some corn bread and and and block our peas you know it's it's y'all got no food over there to bring some food over there you know i'm gonna pay your rent so these people they demonstrate it by service and by love uh so that's how these people do it so um just really quickly because of time just type into the chat your style of apologia so the service invitational interpersonal testimonial intellectual or confrontational confrontational intellectual testimonial interpersonal invitational and service so in service so i think i have no not time left um we'll come back we're supposed to finish this today i think we went overboard in terms of our dialogue and introduction but we're going to talk about a witness and this is where the rubber meets the road we're going to talk about what a witness is because being an apologist is being a witness we're going to talk about this in detail we're going to go to acts chapter 1 verse 8 and look at that word to be a witness so part of the ruach's responsibility it's not so that you can um glossolalia it's not so you can speak in tongues it's not so that um only for you just to have chills and and and i come from a carrot i'm still charismatic today right i'm a charismatic i believe in the gifts of the ruach but what people fail to recognize is not just to give you power right that's the word exclusive and then of course his other word is dunamis but he didn't just give you dunamis so that you can operate in the gifts of the spirit the purpose of the ruach according to jeremiah 31 ezekiel chapter 36 is so that you can ultimately have the rock in you so that you can be witnesses so we're going to look at what this word witness mean because john goes on to say to bear witness of the light what does it mean to bear witness the word witness in the greek is material it comes from the word a martyr now let me ask you a question are you all sure you want to be witnesses yes here we are shaking his head like nope absolutely well i do i need to strengthen my faith that much more i need that i need more than me that means you're willing to die that's what martyr come from in greek it's the same greek word used here and it can be used interchangeably so the word witness means one who's willing to die for the faith now it gets much deeper than that all right because john uses the word witness on ontario um he uses 31 times how did was mashiach a witness to us absolutely what was his fate his fate he was murdered his fate right yeah so even yo cannot browse what happened to joking on the immersion it was beheaded so what was really john's message so when you hear the word witness you might think of someone who sees something shocking or important and then shares their testimony right someone who's a witness on the witness stand only give witness as to what they heard and what they see but this actual this word actually helps us to understand the storyline of the scripture i'm not going to walk through the whole storyline but the hebrew word is a a e i b a is how we pronounce it a and the greek word is martos now so keep in mind aid or motives but when you actually begin to do it to do witnessing watch this that's why he said to bury witness this is what john language is in hebrew it is ood and greek it is material so you are a a um a maltese but when you actually start doing it you are montario you are an aide but when you start doing it you are ooh now this has deep deep significance and i know we're going to get to it next week but i think i don't want to be anti-climatical here but um it means to of course for israel um it means that yah wants israel to be a witness now i'm going to take you to the old testament and show you that this word which means it's action it's not just a a means it's just a description of it but food means you begin to do it and so that's why our ancestors of israel they were witnesses the witnesses but we have to understand what a witness is right a nation that bears witness that's who we are we are a nation that bears witness he called us to be a kingdom of priests now the problem is we were not good witnesses is that correct we were not good witnesses at all because we started worshiping other gods something we call monologues henotheism monologues henotheism which means i believe or worship one god but i do not deny the existence of other gods that's what happened with solomon and other people they worship yahuwah but they also worship other gods as well this is the whole storyline of the tanakh or the old testament yah is bidding yah is now trying to wars back in that's why the first commandment is you should have no other gods before me so when he comes down he oh moses ooh he oh he bears witness to the people that's why he even wrote a song about it and we see that of course moses is to um to ood or to open their eyes now opening their eyes are very important we see this language throughout the old testament i'm i'm just skimming through this we're going to come back over this next week so you can have a more clear understanding as to what you're getting yourself into when you say that you are a witness so isaiah had a vision so after um moses obviously comes down from the mountain um to ooh the word means to open your eyes now finish my statement the spirit of god is upon me he have anointed me to preach the gospel to the good poor to heal the broken heart to give sight to the um why say it again lie what it speaks in in the vein of the persona so that's why isaiah has this vision that yahweh is going to send a king to israel who was sent to ooh to bear witness to israel of his day because they are what they are blind so the gospel always have to deal with opening the eyes of the blind you'll get it momentarily right because yah now is going to send a king to bear witness now that's important um i don't have time to go through this ah um so they killed yahusha that's why he was the martyr of course because he came to bear witness i promise you next week we're gonna go over this in detail in fact we'll start off on this next week before we start getting into our other issues all right and again you can read um you can read in advance because it's going to be placed in moodle right so many of us recognize the response message yes i'm sorry to interrupt you i'm sorry i don't have the access to moodle and everything but i have to have to go i'm gonna i didn't keep my word when i because i didn't realize how far i was gonna be in on the day so i didn't i've gotta go but i can't recognize that no problem i don't have that access how do i get it i'm gonna work on it tonight i'm gonna send you several emails um i have to resend it to you okay um and i'll try to reach out again but i'm sorry sir and i'll try i'm gonna no no no problem class been over so you are welcome to leave up we'll have rich dialogue after uh after you leave and we'll tell you about it all right so just in finishing closing up this is why he said the king um to israel and it's to redeem that's why luke chapter 1 68 said blessed the elohim of israel for he have visited and redeemed his people and have raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant david now that's important because we go back to this word witness we go to what the story is when we come next week we're going to look at the difference between gospel and vassar and we're going to look at how gospel is a pagan term it is a pagan term in fact i take it to the oxford dictionary of english folklore notice the word gospel it means of course god in spail it is literally a meaning of possession enchantment trace like a magic spell that's good you don't believe me i give you all the resources for you look up look it up yourself so it is literally a spirit i was going to ask you that okay say it again i'm sorry i was going to ask you that can you give us the resources absolutely you look at the bottom of these pages and um at the end of these slides i give you all the resources so i know it's very difficult for our tongue that's why i always acts the most high to give me the tongue of the learner because so i can learn and get this because every time we say gospel see words are powerful words are not just tools for communication but they are also language for witchcraft it is that's why it's called spelling a spelling bee you see within the framework of the word is this whole idea of spelling english is for germanic language is full of spells and the more we say it is the more we keep ourselves in the spiritual frenzy that's why it's important now we all study the gospel we all say we say january february march all those are pagan terms as well that's why most i said um in zechariah that he's going to when he returned he's going to restore unto us a pure language a pure language so the word spell comes from uh the word spell from gospel is from germanic origin it is a use it means incantation it is a use of spells of verbal charms or spoken or sung as a part of a ritual magic you see why the most high didn't want us to involve ourselves with the other nations and what they do so god or good spell that you've got so all these notes are going to be for you know the encyclopedia of religion and ethics in western 20 uh 20th century dictionary i give you all the resources so you can see yourself as well as the besora and the besora so um as you see here i wanted to show you so this is what most christians would agree that this is the gospel you all agree this is where the spirit of your core is upon me because you've anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor would you all agree with that all right let's read okay let's read context is very important so we just don't read the text we've got to read the pretext and the post text let's read the pretext and there was deliver unto him the book of the prophet isaiah which is isaiah right yoshi yahoo so now christ the masjid is about to tell you what the gospel is and when he opened the book he found the place where it was written wait a minute so is he quoting his own words no he's reading from the old testament he's reading the prophet isaiah and he's about to tell you what the gospel is about what the besora is about the spirit of yahuwah is upon me because he have anointed me to preach the sword to the poor he have sent me to heal the brokenhearted deliverance of the captives there we go again recovering sight to the blind right that's the same thing that we find in the tonight to set at liberty them that are bruised that preach the acceptable year of yahuwah watch this now was he speaking his own words when he quoted what the gospel is no he was quoting the old testament you should be able to preach the gospel or the besora the besora without the new testament at all what you talking about willis what what new testament did that did paul have or did timothy have or the the apostles they didn't have the new testament it wasn't compiled they only had the old testament and they still preached episode now let's find out what the besora is because obviously moshiach is quoting isaiah so we should read somewhere in isaiah where he says the same words is that correct and give us a definitive definition of the gospel or the sword listen isaiah chapter 61. wait a minute the same words and the spirit of yahweh is upon me because he have anointed me to preach good tidings to the me in fact the word or gospel means good tidings of glad titles he has sent me to bind the broken heart of proclaiming liberty to the captives opening up the prison of them that are bound to proclaim the acceptable year of yahuwah today watch this a vengeance of our god wait a minute so the gospel also includes a day of vengeance yeah so the gospel isn't about just come to jesus give your heart to jesus say the sinner's prayer if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart the lord jesus you should be saved that's not the gospel in is totality the gospel is a day of love of vengeance let's continue to appoint unto them who mourn in zion who was mourning in zion the children of israel to give beauty for ashes all for joy morning the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness why because he come for marginalized people he come for people who are in constant slavery a people that's the that's why every yahoodin everybody in israel knew that the old testament was speaking about a savior that's going to come to deliver them in fact here we get michael chapter five verse two we're closing so notice verse 4 and they shall build the old oasis and they shall rise up the form of desolation who is it talking about it's talking about this perpetual slavery that israel endured let's continue wait a minute so was this gospel message to everybody initially or this was a message let's look and it says in the strangers shall stand and feed your flocks wait a minute so this which mashiach is reading didn't include the salvation of gentiles initially because if it did we need to throw two-thirds of the old testament away because the the message the besora is that a king is going to come for israel that's the gospel that's the pursuer but we have been enchanted we have been charmed into thinking that the bible is something that it never ever says it is that you should be preached a nation of priests you shall eat the riches of what all the gentiles let's read it contextually all the gentiles for your shame you should have trouble who is it talking about the gospel is we read it contextually it's talking about israel and their seed shall be among be known among what the gentiles contextually who was it talking about he's talking about israel israel that's why matthew chapter 10 verse 6 we're going to look at that matthew chapter 15 verse 24 all these says to listen only go to the lost sheep of the house of israel now of course later on in acts chapter 10 in romans 11 we find out that now gentiles now come into the fold right they are now part of the commonwealth of israel now gentiles can now they don't replace us they get to partake and the covenant that yah established with the house of israel and the house of judah hebrews chapter 8 and verse 8 you get it so henry you got michael five and two but thou bethlehem if for wrath thou through thou belittle among thousands of judah yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in israel whose going forth have been from our old from everlasting from everlasting right from everlasting so notice that from the old testament perspective were they waiting on somebody to be born in bethlehem who's going to come to who redeem and be um who's going to rule over israel and it's going to be the redeemer i'm sorry who's going to redeem israel and who's going to rule the world absolutely this is what psalm division chapter 2 says that that that that he's going to come he's going to break every kingdom of the earth and the most high is going to sit in the heaven and land so now you've got context of what the gospel is the gospel is isaiah chapter 61. mashiach is just regurgitating he's recapitulating isaiah chapter 61. you got it so um i'm going to stop there but we get this word from the word basir and this word basir everyone the word basir literally means that which is pertained to a king that will come the first time we see basir we see it when david coordinates his son solomon it means basir or witness or glad titans good news a new king was going to be established wait a minute a new king is going to be established the good news is about a king coming to rule over israel that's what basir means that's where you get the word sora but obviously when you use gospel it takes us out of context to take it out of his hebrew origins and it places it into a eurocentric god loves everybody god just want everybody he everybody win the oprah syndrome you get a car you get a car you get a car we all get cars it takes it out of context basir means that a king is coming to rule israel that was the mindset of our ancestors the mindset of those in the first century how do we know that somebody really get really quickly i'm not going to any screens but acts chapter 1 verse 6. so we read about what a witness is in acts chapter 1 verse 8. the people always they somehow peruse through acts chapter one verse six hbo help a brother out when they therefore were come together they asked of him saying lord this is post-resurrection this is before he ascends unto the shaman and now he has this encounter with the tamudins or the apostles acts chapter 1 verse 6 again when they therefore were come together they asked of him saying lord will thou at this time restore again the kingdom of israel they come to the restore what what was their expectations restore again the kingdom of israel restore again the kingdom of israel you see what besora means means now a king is now is going to be coordinated over israel redeem the people of israel and break all the kingdoms of the earth and make all the kingdoms of the earth submit to the kingdom of israel and the one who rules it from jerusalem and that is yahushua hamashiach you see the connotations of that and what gospel or the real gospel is and you don't believe that we just read in luke chapter 1 68-69 he come to raise what a horn of salvation for israel to redeem his people now obviously gentiles are are included they can now become a part of the commonwealth they can be grafted in as as romans chapter 11 tells us and paul says that gentiles can be grafted in but that's why he came to fulfill the covenant that yah made with the house of israel in the house of judah ezekiel chapter 36 jeremiah 31 hebrews chapter 8 and verse 8. the covenant was established not with christians not with anyone else the covenant was established hebrews 8 with the house of judah in the house of israel that's why matthew chapter 26 verse 28 says this is the blood of the new covenant that i'm sharing with you so i don't know there wasn't how do we know there wasn't uh a different covenant or an additional covenant after judah and israel because we know like you mentioned early on there's five covenants there's the noec the break uh those different covenants but then you get to this part where the the the israel split between judah and israel or samaria and then how do we know from that point on there wasn't a a an additional covenant going forward because if there was additional covenant then the bible needs to throw the bible away the bible lies the bible is fallacious so the only covenant that we now experience in the mashiach have come to establish that covenant that repaired i don't like to say new covenant is a repair or renewed covenant as we find in um hebrews chapter 7 hebrews chapter 8 hebrews chapter 10 that now um he has now come to be this ultimate sacrifice you've come to be the ultimate atonement for our sin the ultimate which means there is no more covenant after this this is the covenant that the everlasting covenant as the scripture says the everlasting covenant the everlasting covenant so there is no other covenant he's not in covenant with the the a and e church he's not in covenant with amy zion he's not in covenant with them he's in covenant with israel and if you join israel by doing what believing in the law statutes and commandments and the messiah or the king the besier of israel that you will be saved that's the narrative of scripture now christians do that well they do got a part of that they do got the king fart right right they do got that but you can't the kingdom consists of more than just a king it also consists of laws it also consists of people it also consists of land so you have to when you think of kingdom you can't just think of a king that's not proper jewish prudence so it's okay if i was to find out that i was a gentile man i'm going to cleveland to israel i want to be saved too i'm gonna i want to follow these here i'm going to follow father of the masjid so that's why the endurance of the saints are those who keep the commandments and those who have faith in the mashiach revelation chapter 14 verse 12. so ethnicity doesn't save you just because you find out your descendant doesn't save you having faith in the mashiach and keeping the commandments is what ultimately is going to have me to endure to the end so christianity screw us up i mean we got a ways to go to detoxify ourselves of this eurocentric theology but will we make it in time hey if it's not with us well i don't know i i you know what i used to say that if it hasn't doesn't happen with our generation uh we would die out in the wilderness and the mashiach the most high will raise up a um our our children and children children but the way things going we are in end time folks we are well let me let me rephrase myself i often say this is birthing pains as masjid says in revelation matthew chapter 24 and luke as well 21 we are in birthing pains but assume to be y'all cove's trouble jacob's trouble so we are preparing for that day so um you know i don't know if we have enough time but we got to keep on keeping on keep on keeping on all right i held you all uh relatively late any questions i'm going to get off of social media now we will not be on social media again i just gave you another teaser so the rest of our classes will be just between us it will not be with anyone on social media for those on social media thank you for joining us shalom shalom to you may y'all bless you may he keep you may he calls his face to shine upon you may lift up his continent towards you and grant you peace in the name of the prince of shalom yahushua hamashiach listen if you want to be a part of any of these classes we are
