Overview

This lecture covers the ABED Digital Assessment Platform, including login procedures, supported browsers and devices, troubleshooting, and technical support options.

Platform Access

  • Users can log in as staff or students via the main portal.
  • Practice tests are available to help users familiarize themselves with the platform.
  • Respondus Lockdown Browser is required for some assessments and is provided for Chromebook, Windows, Mac, and iPad.

Logging In

  • Returning users sign in with their email and password.
  • A "Forgot Password?" option assists users who cannot access their accounts.
  • Only one login session is recommended to avoid technical errors.

Troubleshooting & Notifications

  • Device or server connection issues prompt users to check their internet or contact support if problems persist.
  • Users may receive error warnings if there is unusual traffic or suspected localized issues.
  • Service health status is posted for registration, login, and invigilation.

Supported Browsers & Devices

  • Chrome versions 61-88 (Windows/macOS/iPad), Firefox 80-85 (Windows/macOS), Safari 10-14 (macOS/iPad), and Edge 80-89 (Windows) are supported.
  • Unsupported browsers or outdated versions will prompt users to update.
  • iPad support includes 5th-8th generation and iPad Pro 11 (2018-2020).

Platform Navigation & Icons

  • Navigation includes back, forward, text info, and question page icons.
  • Logout and loading indicators are present for session management.
