Dr. Will Kirby's Big Brother Strategy

From all of my years studying Big Brother, I have found that the most consistent way to find success in the game is to do the following. Come across as trustworthy, make friends with the majority of players, and win a few competitions in order to hold power and steer the house dynamics in your favor. Not only has this strategy resulted in numerous winning games, but it also feels the most intuitive. If you threw 12 people in a house that had no idea what Big Brother was and you told them to play, then chances are the majority of them would probably emulate that style of strategy. So, it can be a little shocking to learn that when this actually happened in real life back in 2001, the winner ended up doing the complete opposite of that. Meet Dr. Will Kirby, the first winner of the US Big Brother format, Dr. Will came into the game, looked at the loose set of guidelines presented to him, and said, "No thanks. I'm going to do it my way." Instead of coming across as honest, he was openly deceitful. Instead of trying to win competitions and hold power, he purposefully lost at every possible step. Will took everything that was natural and intuitive about the game and did the exact opposite. So, how exactly did this guy who was hated by his fellow house guests, was known to lie all the time, and purposefully threw nearly every competition come away with the win? Well, let's find out. This is the story of how Will Kirby won Big Brother 2. Everyday I walk the fine line between confidence and being cocky. If you're new here, consider subscribing as we are so close to hitting 100,000 subscribers. Thanks. Will Kirby was a 28-year-old physician from Miami Beach, Florida. And since this was an entirely new version of Big Brother, I think it's safe to say that he wasn't a fan of the show yet. Even though this was season two, it was going to be vastly different from season 1. Big Brother 1 followed the original international format where the audience held all the power. This format was a hit success all across the world, but for whatever reason, it just didn't work with American audiences. So, when Big Brother was surprisingly renewed for a second season, the producers knew that they needed to shake up the formula if they wanted to keep the viewers interested in the show. And oh boy, did they change things pretty drastically. The producers made the decision to entirely eliminate the audience's role in the show and instead gave all the power to the players inside the house. Each week, the players would participate in a new competition where the winner would be crowned the head of household. The head of household, or HOH for short, would then be tasked with nominating two of their fellow house guests for eviction. And these were the only two people who could be voted out that week. Then at the end of the week, the rest of the players, except for the HOH, would privately vote for one of the two nominees. and whichever nominee received the most votes would be evicted from the house and eliminated from the game. At this point, the cycle would repeat with the only caveat being that the previous HOH was not allowed to compete in the following HOH in order to ensure that there was a transfer of power and that the same person wasn't winning over and over again. Then, when there were only two people left in the house, all the previously evicted house guests would come together to form what is known as the jury. and they would be the ones who would vote for the winner between the final two players with the grand prize being $500,000. Now, it's important to note that unlike today, the jurors weren't sequestered after they were voted out. They were just sent back to their homes and they could watch the episodes from their couch, meaning they were able to see everything that was going on in the house even after they were evicted. So overall, this was a big change from Big Brother one. And because of it, there were no blueprints for the players to follow. Will couldn't just look at past players and replicate how they played the game. He was the first lab rat trying out this new experiment. So he was constantly thinking about the best way to present and position himself in order to have the best shot at winning at all. In his intro package, Will came across as quite the cocky fellow, even if he tried playing it off his confidence. So, let's head into night one and see if he still felt that way once the game began. I really am the world's leading authority on fat7s clothes. I plan by episode 5 there'll be a girl washing my clothes. On night one, Will entered the Big Brother house alongside 11 other strangers, all eagerly awaiting the start of this new version of Big Brother. Right away, the players got together, sat down and made their introductions. Will revealed that he was a doctor, and everyone in the house joked around that Will was definitely the smartest player in the house. My name is Will. I'm a doctor. What are you, Doogie Hower? Oh my god, your brain is way too big. Now, whether or not this was a good thing or a bad thing was yet to be seen, but it's important to note that Will recognized that the perception of himself had just changed in the eyes of the other house guests. He knew they all looked at him as highly intelligent now, and that was intentional. From minute one, Will understood how important it was to know what his perception was. It's one thing to be perceived in a certain way, but it's another thing to know how you're being perceived. You could be the most diabolical and dishonest person in the house. But if everyone thought that you were honest, then they were going to trust you. So Will realized that if he knew exactly what others thought of him, then he could play into that and use it to his advantage. Perception is reality in the Big Brother house. And that's something we're going to see many times throughout this journey. because he is a doctor. We'll go with Will for the smartest. You know, that's sort of been established from the very first time we walked in the house. Building off of this, Will took an interesting approach. Will knew that he was going to lie and play deviously throughout the season, but rather than hiding it, he was upfront about it and he told the other players that he was going to lie to them. Now, we don't actually see him say this, so I have to imagine that he said this in a more playful and charming way that masked the sharpness of his words, but he was being sincere. He was going to lie and he was going to backstab. And now that he had told everyone that, they wouldn't be able to hold it over his head if he lied 3 weeks down the line because he told them he was going to. I tell them right to their face, "I'm going to stab you in the back. I'm going to lie to you. That's what I've been doing. I'm going to continue to do it." Was this the best play for Will to make? At first glance, probably not. But because this was a new format, there was no way of knowing if this was the complete wrong thing to do. So, I guess only time would tell. Will is going to be some very tough competition. He has a game plan in his head that's like the gears are just turning. He's definitely a threat. Anyways, the players got ready to play in the first ever head of household competition. And funnily enough, Will was eliminated first. However, it didn't end up being such a bad thing because one of the guys that Will was hitting it off with, Mike Boogie, won the first HOH instead. It's hot out there. We'll chill in the sun. Pick me or her. We're still going to have fun. It wasn't just Mike Boogie that Will was vibing with, though. In fact, Will had been hitting it off with pretty much all of the guys. Hardy, Bunky, and Justin all seemed cool to him, which wasn't what he was expecting coming into the game. On the other side of the coin, though, the two people that seemed the most annoying to not just Will, but the majority of the house were Kent and Nicole. Kent was a very opinionated and loud my way or the highway sort of fella. But even he didn't hold a candle to Nicole. From pretty much the second the house guest entered the house. Nicole was rubbing everyone the wrong way. She was loud. She wasn't adapting to living in the house very well, she was complaining all the time. And her strong-minded personality was just not meshing well with everyone else. So, pretty early on, Mike Boogie had decided that he wanted to target Nicole this week. The first person I would nominate is Nicole. The second person I would nominate is Nicole. Maybe it's just me. People don't want to talk to me. I don't know. While Boogie could have nominated both Kent and Nicole for eviction, he actually went with a different strategy. Cheryl, the quote hot mom of the house, was seemingly the most liked person in the game. She got along with everyone and was super loved. So Boogie figured that nobody in their right mind would vote her out. When it was time to make nominations, Boogie nominated Nicole and Cheryl for eviction, effectively making Cheryl the first ever pawn and hoping that this would guarantee that Nicole would be the first house guest evicted from the Big Brother 2 house. Now, because Will wasn't nominated, he was guaranteed safe for the week. The power of veto wasn't a thing yet back in Big Brother 2. So, when the nominations were made, they were set in stone. Now that Will was for sure safe, he started thinking about who he wanted to be his main allies. Of the guys in the house, the one that Will got along with the most was definitely Mike Boogie. They just had this instant connection, and Will saw a lot of intelligence in the way that Boogie had been playing the game so far as HOH, and that made him a desirable ally. Outside of Boogie though, there was another person that had really caught his eye. Shannon. Not only did Will see Shannon as someone who would really excel at the Big Brother game, as she was very physically fit and smart, but he also thought that she was totally hot. I think Shannon is one of the strongest players. Keeping close to Shannon is probably a good idea at this time. You're absolutely beautiful and I'm so attracted to you. She's hot. Will had excellent chemistry with Shannon and the two of them got pretty close in the first couple of days. Shannon and Boogie also got along with each other. So, it only made sense that the three of them form an alliance. The three of them got together and just like that, the Chilltown Alliance was officially born. People are intimidated by intelligence, being attractive, and uh power. And we possess all three of those things. We're trying to keep all the cool people in here. Now, in Will's eyes, Chilltown was the cool kids alliance, consisting of the young, attractive, and popular people that you wanted to hang out with. Although the core of Chilltown was just Will, Shannon, and Boogie, their reach expanded beyond just them. Fellow House guests Justin, and Christa were pretty chill themselves. And since Will and company liked hanging out with them, Justin and Christa were made somewhat affiliate members of Chilltown. This meant that after just a couple days, Will had not only established a tight alliance of three that included the current HOH, but he also had two good connections outside of that core. In a house with just 12 people in it, that's not too bad of a start. At this point, Will could have just coasted throughout the week, but he was feeling a little devious. Will realized from the very beginning that whoever held the most control over the other house guests would likely be the most powerful player in the game. So Will devised a little plan. One night he was speaking with everyone in the backyard and asked them if they would like to participate in a 24-hour fast with him under the guise of it being a cleansing from the sinning they've partaken in since the game began. Tomorrow morning, um, I will be initiating a voluntary fast. We discussed a 24-hour fast just for, you know, mental cleansing. And yeah, man, if anyone else was interested in doing it, I would definitely be talking. Now, Will's true motivations were obviously not about cleansing. It was about seeing who would listen to his instruction and who had the strength to actually go through with it. It puts me in a position of power. And if people are wondering what I think, then I have some ability to control them. I can be the puppeteer and they can be the marionets. While a good chunk of the house didn't actually follow through, some players did, and it gave Will some interesting insight. Autumn lasted about 3 hours. There's actually only three people left doing it, which is Shannon, myself, and Justin. It only emphasized what I had already suspected, that some people would have weaker willpower than others. While Will clearly did spend a little time with all the house guests, he spent the majority of his time with those in Chilltown. particularly Shannon. Throughout this first week, the two of them continued to heavily flirt. And even though she did have a boyfriend back home, it didn't take long for Will to break through Shannon's walls. And the two pretty much became a full-on showmance. I like you over there. I can stare at him. You're just hot. That's all. No, I think you're really cool and you're the kind of person that I could see myself with. I do have a message for her boyfriend at home. Um, he's out of here. It's over for him. That's completely done with my idea. So, when all was said and done, Will felt that he was in a great spot. He had his alliance. He had his girl. He felt like Chilltown was running this house, and he felt like he personally held a level of control over some of the players. Will didn't think that Big Brother would be too difficult for him, but it wasn't supposed to be this easy. I hope that everyone has underestimated my potential for massive destruction. Now, as for the actual vote, Will was very much team get Nicole the heck out of here. Nicole and Will didn't get along. In fact, Nicole actually scared Will a tiny bit. When you combine that with the fact that Will genuinely did like Cheryl, the vote was an easy decision for him. However, a bit of a hiccup occurred this week when Justin was expelled for holding a knife up to Christa's neck and jokingly asking her if she would be mad if he killed her. That combined with Justin showing other signs of aggression made it a pretty obvious move on the production team's part to kick him out of the house. After a lengthy consultation with the show's psychologist, producers were left with no choice but to expel Justin to protect the safety of the house guests. In a game sense, this definitely was a blow for Will. Justin was one of his closer allies in the game, so he was losing a number. But in terms of the week's plan, it didn't actually change much. Will knew that he, Shannon, Christa, and Monica were all going to vote out Nicole. Monica was close friends with Cheryl, so Will knew he could count on her vote. Even if everyone else in the house somehow flipped and voted to evict Cheryl, then the vote count would be tied four to four, at which point Mike Boogie would break the tie as the HOH and he would send Nicole packing. But it likely wouldn't even come to that because Nicole was annoying everyone in the House. So, she'd probably be evicted in a vote of 7 to1 or something like that. So going into eviction night, Will wasn't worried about the vote. He knew Nicole was going home. Nicole is like garbage on Thursday. She's out. Julie then came on to reveal the results and by a vote of five to three. Cheryl was evicted from the Big Brother house. She singled me out and made me into the one thing that I didn't want to be characterized at, which was a nerd. I vote to evict Nicole. Nicole. Nicole. Cheryl. Sherry. Cheryl. Cheryl. Sherry. By a vote of 5 to3, Cheryl, you are now evicted from the Big Brother house. So, yeah. It turns out Will had no idea what was really going on in this house. While Will was sitting on his throne thinking he was running the show, the rest of the house was secretly banding together to stop that from happening. You see, the thing about Chilltown is that it wasn't just the people in Chilltown that knew about it. Everybody knew about Chilltown. Outside of the fact that Will, Shannon, and Boogie barely hung out with anyone other than each other, they were also open about their alliance name. Like, everyone knew what Chilltown was and who was in it. And they all saw Will as the leader. It's just horribly obvious that that there is that cool group. Will, Mike, Shannon, the Chilltown faction, the brat pack. I'm sick of it. Oh my god. Will's got to be the leader, man. He's Attillaa the Hun. Not only that, though, they couldn't stand Will. They thought he was a spoiled brat. They were disgusted by his arrogance and how selfobsessed he seemed. And they certainly did not love that Will was trying to run the house. So why let him? I think everyone's a little nuts with him at this point. The whole household is. He's an obnoxious son of a gun. He's a spoiled spoiled rat. Initially, it started with just two people, Nicole and Bunky. They were Will's biggest haters, particularly Bunky. So Nicole pitched the idea to Bunky about possibly keeping her in the game so that she could help go after Will in the next round. Nicole planted the seed last night trying to get a bunch of us to vote against Sherry. so that Nicole can stay in the house and then one of the two nominations is going to be Will. Bunky loved this idea. And it didn't take long before Bunky figured out that he and Nicole weren't the only people annoyed with Will. Kent, Monica, Autumn, and Christa were all sick of him. Yeah, even Christa, a Chilltown affiliate, found Will to be pretty obnoxious, but she wasn't as vocal about it so that she could stay on Chilltown's good side. Will I do enjoy his stories, but basically I think he's obnoxious, but I'm going to pretend, you know, to being kind of like the cool chick. Nicole had also developed a personal relationship with the last remaining player, Hardy, and she brought him in on the cause. At this point, the group of them all got together and started discussing how they knew Will was attempting to control the entire environment, and they didn't want that. So, in direct opposition of Chilltown, Nicole, Bunky, Hardy, Kent, Autumn, Christa, and Monica formed an alliance that would eventually be called the Other People. And they were going to save Nicole and unfortunately send Cheryl home. Not because they dislike Cheryl, but because it would take power away from Chilltown. Will is being a dictator and he needs to go. I do know that he's controlling this entire environment and he likes it in your doctor pal at the end. You stunned me. Okay, the war is uh the group of me, Hardy, Monica, and Bunky and Nicole. The other people. Now, I don't know if Christa was technically an official member of the other people, but she basically was. And at this time, we can just call her an affiliate of the other people, just like how she was an affiliate of Chilltown. Anyways, now that they had rallied together the numbers, they had made a plan for them all to vote against Sherry and we saw all of them, including Christa, do just that. Well, except for Monica. But as I mentioned before, Monica was just really close to Sherry. At the end of the day, though, Monica's vote didn't matter, and Cheryl was still evicted by a vote of 5 to three, which blindsided Will, Boogie, and Shannon, and kept Nicole in the game. I'm unpacking. I'm in shock right now. I can't believe you guys voted for her. We're in trouble. Immediately following the vote, Will knew that he was in trouble. He and Chilltown got owned in their foolproof plan to get Nicole evicted just blew up in their faces. Justin was gone. Cheryl was gone. Nicole was here. And Chilltown was on the outs. You never know. As we just found out, you're looking at the three most hated people in the house. Are you kidding? We thought we were running a game. We weren't running anything. Well, that's because we lost Justin and Sherry in one day. It's one of us three is out next. If we don't win, who? Got to win the head household. Going into the week 2 HOH competition. Will knew that he or one of his allies had to win it. Unfortunately, this competition was a quiz on how well you knew your fellow house guests. This was not one of Will's strong suits as he didn't really care to listen to all of their stories that much and he was eliminated on the third question. And I saw the utter destruction on their faces. When I missed the question that I did, I felt like I let Mike and Shannon down. However, the winner of the HOH comped one of the most interesting possible results. Christa. The reason that Christa winning was so interesting is because Will and the rest of Chilltown actually thought that she was still with them. When tallying the eviction votes, Shannon felt confident that Christa voted with them. And because of it, they felt a small level of comfort when she won the HOH. Even though it was actually Monica who voted with them, I know for a fact Will, Shannon, and Christa voted for Sherry to stay. I vote to vicer. So although Will would have much preferred had he or Shannon won the HOH, he felt that Christa was the next best option. Given the fact though that Will only felt 100% safe with two people winning HOH out of a possible nine and one of those two people was himself. It should be pretty clear that Will was on the outs big time and he knew that he had some fences to mend. Will even went to Boogie and Shannon and was like, "Yo, we need to do some damage control and attempt to garner some favor with the other side or we will forever be on the bottom." Sometime after the vote, Will went to Nicole and tried to clear the air in his own silly way. However, Nicole kind of shut that down almost immediately and then in the diary room stated that there was nothing anyone from Chilltown could do to make her okay with them. You're not one of my best friends, but there's someone I hate much more than you. Are supposed to make me feel better? No, not at all. You should have no hate for me. You have no reason to have any. Will came up to me who hasn't looked at me. He's like, Nicole, you know, I'm really sorry I suck. I'm like, you're right. You do suck. There is absolutely nothing that Chilltown could do and make things okay with me. Then to make matters worse, Christa began asking each person individually who they would want to see nominated this week. And the answers were pretty grim. Autumn said Will. Bunky said Will. Monica said Will. Nicole was even in Christa's HOH room offering herself up as a pawn as long as Will was nominated too so they could send him home. Who we want to nominate if you had a household right now? Shannon. Will and Shannon. Definitely Will. Either Will and Mike could go and Shannon. If you put up Will against anybody, Will's going. Basically, everybody wants a Will out at this point. Amen. Every single person outside of Will, Shannon, and Mike Boogie had told Christa that they not only wanted Will nominated this week, but they wanted him evicted. Because Christa was pretty much a part of the other people, it felt inevitable that she was going to nominate Will and probably Shannon, too. And then Will would be a goner. If she puts up Will, he's out and it's, you know, then it's me, then it's you. It's over. I wouldn't be at all surprised if I was nominated. I think you're one of three and almost everyone in the house said Will. When it was time for nominations, Will had to watch as key after key came out of the box without his name on it. Surprisingly, Shannon and Boogie both had their keys come out, but the only key that mattered was Will's, and it was nowhere to be seen. But the final key was pulled and it was Will's. Somehow Christa chose to keep Will safe and instead she nominated Kent in autumn for eviction. Will you be safe? Holy crap. Will was this close to being nominated and evicted in week two. So, why wasn't he? Well, it's actually hard to tell exactly why, but this is what I gauge to be the reasons. Christa was very much worried about the repercussions she would face from the nominee that didn't get evicted this week. If she nominated Will and Shannon and Will got evicted, that still leaves Shannon in the house, who now feels extremely betrayed by Christa and could possibly start targeting her since they were supposed to be working together in Chilltown. At this point in the game, Christa was perfectly positioned in the middle. She had Chilltown on one side and the other people on the other side, and she wanted to continue being in the middle as it would keep her safe no matter who won power. Christa also knew that the other people's hatred for Chilltown would continue for weeks to come. So why should she be the one to evict Will when whoever won HOH next week would probably do the same thing anyways? Will was not a threat to Christa. Even though she found him a bit annoying in the first week, she did have a better relationship with him than most of the others did. So if Will ever won an in HOH, he wasn't going to target Chris. And in terms of the long game, Will was not perceived as someone who could actually win the game because everyone hated him. Christa didn't really have any personal reason to target Will here. So instead of drawing a line in the sand with Chilltown and making enemies out of them, she chose to nominate Autumn and Kent instead. Autumn had been at the epicenter of a lot of house drama across the past couple of days. And Christa considered her to be pretty emotionally unstable, whereas Kent was kind of just the odd man out and someone that Christa felt would retaliate the least against her if he survived the eviction. I'm just trying to stay neutral cuz I have a certain respect from everybody. So, I want to kind of keep that. I don't feel that Will's a threat anymore because of the fact that in the end, no one will vote for him. Criselle pulled the keys. Man, it was a thrill cuz the last key out was from Chilltown. It was my man Will. H. Now, I don't really think I can give Will too much credit for surviving here because this decision really did seem to be a self-preservation move for Christa, but at the very least, Will deserves some merit for garnering a relationship with Christa enough to the point where she felt comfortable not nominating him in a spot where the majority of the House wanted to see him go. If we're being 100% totally honest with ourselves though, Will got really lucky. Had Bunky, Nicole, Hardy, Autumn, Monica, or Kent won the HOH, Will would have gone home. So, Will needed to capitalize on this lucky break and really take advantage of it if he wanted a legit shot at recovering. I know right now that I'm living on borrowed time. I feel lucky to be here at this point. Being in here another week with Will makes me absolutely want to vomit. Will was able to recognize that the ring leaders of the other side of the house were Nicole and Hardy. So, as embarrassing as it was for him, he knew his way to survive would be to smoo up to Nicole. Even though his attempts didn't work the first time, he tried again. This time, playing up how much he respected how honest and powerful she was in the game. Will even went a step further and was willing to promise her that if he ever won HOH, he would never ever nominate her. And you know what? It looked like it was working a little bit. Nicole would hate to admit it, but Will was slightly warming up to her. Will had his foot in the door now and although it would take a mountain of effort to open it up anymore, it was a necessary first step towards a possible new route in the game. And I give him a lot of credit for this effort. As disgraceful as Will may have been in the first couple of weeks, he had an undeniable charm to him, and it helped him find success while he attempted to mend and build up these social connections, which was something that Shannon and Boogie simply couldn't and weren't doing as well as Will. You want to stay here, you kind of have to kiss Nicole's butt. Do you think you're ever going to be a human? I hope. I mean, I made an ass of myself for 2 weeks. I'm willing to give you my word of honor. I will never nominate you. If you won the show, I would be very happy. Oh my god. You don't like me and I respect that you've been very clear about that. I think you're a [ __ ] and I don't get along with you, but at least I can respect your honesty. Maybe you should stop while you're a little [ __ ] I don't think I'm ahead, but I know ahead. You're a good manipulator, Will. I'm embarrassed. As for the week, Autumn was pretty clearly the consensus target after nominations. And that's how things went. When eviction night came, everyone voted against her. And by a vote of seven to zero, Autumn was the second person evicted from the Big Brother house. This house is too mean spirit for her spirit right now. I vote to evict Autumn. Autumn. Autumn. By a vote of 7 to zero. Autumn, you are evicted from the Big Brother house. Going into the week three HOH with nine people remaining, Will wanted to win this HOH comp. But naturally, he messed up on the very first question and he was eliminated. How many of you have a birthday in the month of July? The answer is two. Why we keep having these contests that you're supposed to know about the other people in the house? I mean, I haven't listened to one word they said. I didn't know that was a requirement. While both Boogie and Shannon made it very deep into the competition, Will was devastated to see both of them fall short and instead Hardy won the third HOH. The thing about Hardy is that he was practically Will's heroic antithesis. While Will's mantra was lying and deception and well, evil, Hardy was always preaching about honor and integrity and honesty. Whether they wanted it or not, they weren't innate rivals. They're just capable of doing stuff I think that I know I couldn't do to win. He certainly doesn't like u what I represent. I think he's going to try to just be the nice guy and then hope to sneak into the finals. It seems to be working because I think a lot of people here are very naive. Now, while Christa may have given Chilltown an extra week in the house, Hardy wouldn't provide that same security, his sights were set on Chilltown, and he would not hesitate to pull the trigger. And unfortunately, his target was Will. Obviously, my strategy would be to get rid of one of them. Will, I think he's the ring leader behind all of Chilltown. Will was still perceived as the leader of Chilltown. So, why wouldn't they take out the head? At the nomination ceremony, Hardy struck hard and he did nominate Will and Shannon for eviction. Shannon, I nominated you and Will I nominated you? Uh, that's basically it. I wish the two of you the luck. If you ask for something, you're going to get it. If you put two people up against each other who care about each other, other's going to come back and try to stab you in the heart twice as hard. Although this wasn't unexpected, this was still a huge blow to Will's game. Not only was he on the block as the main target, but he was nominated next to the girl that he was absolutely smitten with. Either Will was going home or the person he was closest to was going home. Now, to be fair, Will and Shannon had become a pretty big item in the house, and they hadn't been hiding their relationship at all. So, it did make sense for Hardy to nominate the two of them together. and Will should hold a lot of blame for making it so apparent how close he really was with Shannon. At the same time though, it is important to remember that this was literally the first season with this format. So any negative game stigmas that come with being in a showmance weren't known at this point. Regardless, Will and Shannon were put on the block together in one way or another. They'd be separated by the end of the week. One of us is leaving this way and Hardy's leaving next week. Party's a marked man now. That was just a dumb idea. After being nominated, Will did a good job remaining composed and quiet. But Shannon, on the other hand, well, she didn't. And she had a couple of words for Hardy. Wow, that was probably about the cowardest thing I've ever seen in my entire life. Although this was technically a good thing for Will as it put Shannon more in the spotlight than himself, he really didn't care. For as legendary of a figure as Dr. will would become. I think he did kind of resign himself to just going home here. He seemed to care for Shannon deeply beyond the confines of the house. And because of it, he wasn't really fighting for himself to stay over her, even going so far as to say that he would be willing to bail in order to keep her in the house. Sweetheart, you told me not to be upset, and I'm doing good, but I can't see you like this. No, no, no. We are not ducking out. He's the coward, not us. In a game sense, this is really terrible, but it just goes to show that Dr. Will is actually a human being. And in this moment, the emotional side of him took priority over the game side. Luckily for Will, the exact same thing was happening with Shannon, except Shannon was a lot more aggressive with her approach. Hardy is intimidated by me, but I'm going to make him cry before the end of the week is over. Shannon was picking fights with Hardy and doing everything she could to make herself the target over Will. She continuously called Hardy a coward, attacked his character, and ended it with the grand finale of cleaning the toilet with his toothbrush and not telling him. I'm a jerk and I'm insensitive and I'm immature and I'm a coward. Why am I a coward? Because of your jealousy of Will and I. How am I jealous? Why would I be jealous of you and Will? I think I'm going to go clean the [Music] toilet. This was brutal. But god, this was gold television. And Big Brother did make Shannon tell Hardy because this was a health hazard. For her to think that she could get away with it was ludicrous. You for some reason felt it necessary to destroy my personal property? No, I bought you a new one. That's not the point. I would still like to know whether or not it was intentional. Yeah. Are you that stupid? You're the baddest [ __ ] Seeing this go down, Will and Boogie talked and Will realized that, hey, if Shannon is willing to do this and basically take herself out, then maybe I should just continue to stay quiet, not piss anyone else off, and try to play for the weeks to come. Will's head seemed much more back in the game than when he was first nominated. If she does what she just did all week, she'll piss enough people off. So you can just cool out. Certainly, I can easily do that. It's better not to have two people pissing people off like better. She just takes the brunt. Because of Shannon's incessant antics, the target did actually shift throughout the week. While Will was initially who the house planned on voting out, Shannon's actions practically forced the votes off of Will and onto herself. Even so, Will played this week pretty much as well as he could have given the circumstances. And by that I mean he kept his mouth shut and let Shannon do her thing. At any point the other people could have flipped the vote back onto Will if they wanted to because they had the numbers, but Will did an excellent job of not giving them any reason to do so. So when eviction night came, it was unanimous. By a vote of 6 to zero, Shannon was evicted from the Big Brother house. Although it feels like I'm shooting a friend with a cannon, I got to keep Will. So, Mike Boogie votes to evict Shannon by a vote of 6 to zero. Shannon, you are evicted from the Big Brother house. We'll see you soon. We'll see you soon. I'm going to be with you. Be strong. Shannon, having you in this house has been such a humbling experience cuz I realized that there was someone who was better than me in every way. Your eviction will be avenged with great wrath. Count on it. Losing Shannon was always going to be tough for Will, but it was also something that needed to happen. A big part of Will being such a large house target was because he was viewed as the leader of Chilltown. But Chilltown just got that much smaller. So instead of Will being the head of this potentially scary three-person alliance, it was now just Will and Boogie against like six other people. That's not nearly as scary. So, in a way, a bit of Will's target left the house with Shannon. Not all of it, not by a long shot, but maybe enough where Will wouldn't necessarily have to be the biggest target going into the final eight. You know, I just kept my mouth shut uh the whole week and let things fall where they did. Like, now I do have a purpose here, which is just to knock out Hardy. You know, I'm going to make it my personal vendetta to get Hardy out. That's all I want to do now. All right, you'll see her soon. Now that I'm single, I'm going to try to hook up with Nicole. I'll kick your ass sideways. Going into the week 4 HOH at the final eight, Will was once again hoping to win so he could take the shot at Hardy. But what do you know? Will gets the first question wrong and is immediately eliminated from the competition. And instead, we see Kent become the new HOH. Don't hate me cuz I'm intelligent. Unbelievable. It was pretty obvious that either Will or Boogie would be the target. So, the question was, which one would it be? Well, Will and Boogie both seemed pretty confident that it would be Will. But Will had a pitch he wanted to give to Kent, and he eventually found the right moment. When the two of them were in the backyard together, Will acknowledged that he knew he was probably the target for a lot of people this week. But it was for that very reason that Kent should keep him in the game. Will was a weak player due to his social status. Nobody really liked him and because of it, nobody was going to vote for him to win in the end. So why doesn't Ken take him to the end? It would be so much easier to beat Will in the final two over people like Monica or Christa. So why not use your power to take out a strong, likable player that could beat you? I have uh something to run by you. It is a popularity contest. What people are going to start realizing is you got to eliminate the strong people weak. I think it'd be a lot easier for you to beat the finals with me where you would win easily as opposed to Christa, Monica, or Bonnie. Will also brought up the fact that Kent shouldn't have to bother targeting him this week because everyone else hated him so much that he could get evicted at literally any point, probably even next week. It's no secret I'm top of your hit list, but I'm on the top of everybody's hit list. For me, it makes sense keep me around cuz I'm so hated that it only, you know what I mean? At any time I could go out. This seemed to resonate with Kent and it got him thinking. Kent then started talking with the other house guest and picking their brains. And just like Will had stated, they were all like, "Yeah, we target Will." Once he got that clarification, it really started making Kent lean away from targeting Will. Why bother if someone else will do it anyways? Plus, Kent could just target Mike Boogie and still please the House by targeting a Chilltown member. I did a whole assessment last night. It's like, "Okay, will Will Will." It would just be so boring to to nominate Will and Mike. So Kent met up with Will again and offered him a secret deal. If Kent kept Will safe this week, then whenever Will won HOH, he'd keep Kent safe. Will quickly agreed to this deal as it would not only keep himself off the block, but it would also give him the chance to work some magic and try and rally some votes to possibly save Mike Boogie from the eviction vote. Mano, me and you. Okay. They don't agree with who else I want to put up if it's not you. But I'm like, I got to do what I feel like I got to do. If I don't nominate you, will you give me amnesty when you become that [ __ ] Certainly. Will you? Okay. Promise you that. Now, the beauty of this is that Will was completely lying to Kent. The second he won HOH, it was Kent and Hardy going up on the block. But Kent fully believed that Will was going to honor this deal. I'm the biggest liar in the house. possibly the biggest liar in America. I'm gonna nominate Kent and Hardy next week as soon as I get by this week. So, when it was time for nominations, Kent stuck to his word, even going so far as to put Will's Key first. And he ended up nominating Mike and Christa for eviction instead. Will, you are safe. He nominated Mike as the main target. and he nominated Christa alongside him. Not only because Mike and Christa had actually started a romantic relationship over the last week or so, but because Kent didn't feel that Christa was actually a member of the other people after she refused to nominate anyone from Chilltown in week two. While it sucked that Will's closest ally was once again the main target, the fact that Will managed to talk his way in with Kent and appealed to his strategic side in order to keep himself off the block was truly impressive. It was without a doubt the best move that Will had done so far in this season and it resulted in his safety. However, his work wasn't done just yet. He still had to find a way to keep Boogie. Unfortunately, Boogie didn't do himself any favors because right after he was nominated, he went off on Kent. And then Hardy, too, which shot his chances of survival way down. Dude, you're going to be the joke of your town. You're clearly a group. You clearly wanted to get Chilltown out of here. I'm not denying that. I I don't ever want to hear out of anyone's mouth Chilltown this or Chilltown that. Chilltown is no different than what's going on here. Even so, Will tried his best to save his friend. He went to Nicole, someone who he knew had the power to make a vote flip happen, and basically tried pitching the same thing he did to Kent. Nicole would have a much easier time beating both himself and Boogie over anyone else in the house in the final two. So, it might make sense for her to help Will try and save Boogie. Nicole was shaving my entire body down, and I felt like it was a good time to have a private discussion with her for a variety of reasons. the buzz of the razor. Maybe people couldn't really hear what we were saying. I mean, it's no secret that you could beat either Boogie or I in the finals much easier than you could beat anyone else in the finals. Silently, Nicole was actually agreeing. She knew that Crystal was a bigger threat to win than both Boogie, and Will. And later in the day, Will pitched the idea to Nicole of himself, her, and Boogie working together as an undercover alliance of three. Boogie is my best friend, and I'd really like to keep him here. Is it so far-fetched to think that you and I Boogie could start an alliance? No. Once again, Nicole was seemingly considering this, but she wanted to hear it from Boogie, too. Will, excited as could be, went to his friend and told him the good news, but Boogie didn't want to go through with it because it would be him going against Christa, who he loved, I guess, or something. Will wasn't taking no for an answer though and he continuously pushed and persuaded Mike Boogie to let go of his emotions and accept the darkness. I don't think I can do that to Chrisa cuz you don't want to look like a on TV. Well, too late, man. You've already done it. I look like a human on the outside, but it's just skin over circuitry and wires. You are the evil doctor. After some convincing, it seemed like Mike might have relented to Will and been more open to saving himself. But ultimately, it didn't end up mattering. Even though Nicole had opened herself up to working with Will more in the game, I think the idea of keeping both remaining Chilltown members in the house was a bit too worrying. And because of it, Will couldn't get the votes to keep Boogie alive. This meant that Will would be the last Chilltown member standing. It was Will versus the world and he would be all alone in the house. I guess you could call this pretty much a death blow to Chilltown because once Mike Boogie leaves, which seems to be the case, I will be the only true member left. Except that wasn't exactly the case anymore. You see, after Shannon was evicted, Will realized that a very small window had opened up for him to change his perception in the house. He knew that he had completely shot himself in the foot in the beginning of the game by only hanging out with Chilltown and neglecting pretty much everyone else. And this was a big factor as to why everyone hated him. But with Shannon now out of the picture, Will sees the opportunity to use that to his advantage and put in motion a plan to make up for lost time. Will made sure that any time there was some sort of house activity going on, he would be there and make sure he was included. However, he also made sure that he was never the star. If it was a game they were playing, then he'd make sure not to win. If it was some performance or other activity, he'd make sure others were in the spotlight and not himself. Will wanted to ingratiate himself with the other players by being a positive participant, but he never wanted to be in the limelight in these moments. As far as strategy is concerned, I'm trying to include myself in every game and activity without being the person who wins them. Ji, your name is Jim. All jokes aside, I had a cousin working in Thailand. There was an oil rig accident. Was his name Jim? Yeah, James. Are you familiar with the theory that the bigger the lie you tell, the more believable it is? I pretty much told people what they wanted to hear and just played along. This was actually really beneficial for Will. He was attempting to forcefully change his perceived reputation and it was kind of working. The other players started thinking, "Hey, maybe Shannon was actually the problem and she was dragging Will down with her." Because ever since Shannon left, Will has been so much more enjoyable to be around. And he's actually not that bad of a guy. Will was redeeming his past behavior to the point that people were beginning to think that the bad part of Will left the house alongside Shannon. And the other house guests were letting him in. People have said, and I heard them say it yesterday, was that, you know, with with Shannon gone, Will's like a changed guy. Now it's it's come full circling and he's rehabilitated his image. Will is pretty amazing. I know that we don't have a lot in common and everything and I know that you try really hard and you've been you've been wonderful the past few weeks. Hey, listen. It's nothing lying is clearly one of my tools. He knew that the perception the other players had of him in the first 3 weeks was not one that could lead to a win, so he had to change it. Will went from a neglectful, clicky brat to a positive, fun to be around goofball. And it opened a new door for him. While Nicole wasn't going to keep Boogie in the game, the social connection that Will had been building up with her proved to be real because she actually wanted to work with him now. And she wasn't the only one out of all the people in the house. Hardy also was warming up to Will and he wanted to team up with him. So Hardy and Nicole, two of Will's biggest enemies just one week ago, actually formed a secret trio alliance with Will and they pinky swore on it. You know, I think this is a strong core three here. You know what I mean? I would say I would say so. I like you, Will. I still have my opinions about Will and I'm sure he has his opinions about me. And bottom line is um I would at least like one other person, you know, spend time with and actually enjoy. He asked me to deal with the devil. This was incredible to see and it showed just how successful Will's social pivot had been since Shannon left the game. Don't get it twisted though. Will's main goal was still to knock Hardy out of the game. But for the time being, Will would happily play into Hardy's hand if it kept him safe. I'm definitely going to avenge Shannon's eviction. I could do it in the short term, but then my time after that would be very limited. So joining with Nicole and Hardy is a win-win for me. Even though Will's position had taken a surprisingly positive turn, he was still sad that his real friend Mike Boogie was about to leave the house. When eviction night came, Will voted to evict Christ, but he was the only one to do so by a vote of 4 to1. Mike Boogie was evicted from the Big Brother house and Will was left without any of his day one friends. I never wanted Christa to leave, but I did want Boogie to stay. I vote to evict Christa. By a vote of 4 to one, Mike, you are evicted from the Big Brother house. Parrolled. The loyalty you showed in here, man. I didn't think I was going to find it from anybody and you were there and I appreciate it. Dude, Boogie gives me butterflies. What do you think I think about Boogie? I know Boogie for a month. He's my best friend. Losing Mike Boogie sucked, but just like with Shannon, it almost felt like a necessary event in order for Will to escape the negative cloud that was Chilltown and position himself in a way where he might actually have a semblance of a shot at winning this game. It was just in time, too, because the tides were shifting in the Big Brother house, as we'll soon find out heading into the Midame. This has been the worst two weeks. I mean, I lost my girlfriend. I lost my best friend. It's I feel awful. How are you staying and I'm leaving? I don't even know how did this happen. Before we get to the final 7 HOH, I think it's important that I give you a small update on the house status. We'll keep things relatively simple here. So, on one side you had Will all by himself and on the other side you had the remaining six players. However, even though these six players were under the umbrella of the other people, you could make out three distinct sets of pairs. There was Hardy and Nicole. There was Monica and Christa. And there was Kent and Bunky. Although they had been mostly unified in their attempts to decimate Chilltown, there was a growing dissension amongst the group. Kent and Christa didn't like each other. Kent and Hardy were starting to not like each other. And also Hardy and Nicole were starting to get annoyed with Bunky. It was clear that a civil war was starting to brew amongst the other people. So even though there was still the overarching ideology to eradicate Chilltown entirely, aka getting Will out, these other problems were arising at a very fast pace. And since Will was seemingly turning into this unproatic guy, well, these other problems might just take priority over getting Will out. Are you saying that? You got to say yes, I am saying I didn't say it. You said I'm trying to get you agree with God, you're nuts. In my mind, he just took Will's place on the hit list. So, going into the final seven HOH, it actually made a lot of sense for Will to not win this competition and continue to appear unthreatening. Will unsurprisingly lost on a question that tricked the majority of players and Hardy ended up winning his second HOH of the season. Now, I feel like it's at this point that I should mention that Will's approach towards HOH competitions had begun to shift. Will had started to realize that his unbelievably pathetic and poor performances in HOH competitions may actually have been a good thing for him. Will had come in last place in nearly every HOH comp so far, and it made him look like a weak player, a nonthreat. On the flip side, those that had performed well in HOH comps but hadn't actually won them were the ones getting evicted. Shannon nearly won the HOH in week three and she was evicted. Boogie nearly won the HOH in week four and he was just evicted. So, it clicked in Will's head that if he started intentionally losing the HOH's super early on, just as he had unintentionally been doing to start the season, it could diminish his threat level even more in the eyes of the others. If the perception was that Will could never win an HOH, then why bother evicting him when keeping him around just bolsters your own chances of winning HOH? Losing head of household competitions can be very advantageous. Time and time again, it's been shown that if you do pretty well but don't win, you get ousted. Whereas, if you lose them very quickly, then you stay for a while. Now, later on in the season, Will claims that he had come into the game with this plan all along, but I know he was trying to win some of those early competitions. So, there's a little bit of a discrepancy. It's not exactly clear when Will started intentionally throwing competitions, but I'm going to assume that it started at around this point. Regardless of if he actually threw this one or not, it doesn't really matter. Will lost and Hardy won. And this ended up being one of the best possible outcomes for Will. Dave, it's hard to be so good. I definitely have different perceptions and I've lost respect for some people and gained a hell of a lot of respect for other people. Will's budding connection with Nicole and Hardy, combined with Hardy's new disdain for Kent created the perfect recipe for Will to avoid being this week's target. Nicole even told Will that he wasn't going home this week. Kent would be. Daddy's got to go this week. Just tell me I'm telling. Unfortunately though, this wasn't enough to keep Will safe from nomination. And Hardy did actually nominate Will next to Kent. Well, you're the last uh you're the last remaining factor of Chilltown. I had changed my opinion of you um a lot. While this was obviously not super ideal, it made a ton of sense as to why Hardy did this. In week three, Hardy had made a grand display to the house where he vowed to make it his mission to evict every last member of Chilltown. So, if Hardy didn't nominate Will, that would look extremely suspicious and it would make Hardy look like a lying fraud. However, this didn't change the fact that Ari didn't actually want Will to go. He wanted Kent gone. Will knew that the best way to handle his nomination would be to play it extremely chill and just keep focusing on building up his social connections. If he showed any signs of anger or aggression, it would only hurt his chances of staying. So, he played a calm and quiet, telling Hardy he understood why he did it and that he wasn't upset. So, if you guys want to say anything, have anything to say? Yeah, I can respect uh the showtime reasons for me and I understand. I appreciate that guys sincerely. I wasn't really surprised to be nominated. I had anticipated it. Hardy indicated to me that I probably would be nominated. I think Will should feel somewhat safe. This very quickly proved to be the best thing that Will could do because while Will was not drawing attention to himself and kind of just being there, the rest of the house fell into chaos. I won't get into the specifics because they really have nothing to do with Will, but basically there were a set of sub alliances in final three deals made within the other people that were now getting exposed and brought to life which built up a lot of tension within the house. Now combine that with some other natural frustrations and disagreements going on and what you get was practically everyone other than Will arguing with each other at some point during this week. Approximately a week, two weeks ago, I thought that there would be a civil war among the smokers. That clearly has happened. Kent and Nicole, Monica and Bunky, Christa and Kent, and Hardy and Bunky, which all led up to the grand finale of Hardy and Kent, where the two had a gigantic screaming match, resulting in Kent calling out Hardy's position in front of everyone, and how he was obviously going to win if he was sitting in the end. Can anyone take pleasure in watching groups of people get angry at each other and tear each other apart verbally, psychologically, and emotionally? I can. And I sit there and do it every day. No, you don't talk to me unless I want to talk to you. You're a liar. You and both. No, I did not. No, I did not. You're liar. You're promised everybody in the room that they're going to be standing next to you now. Tell them. Kent is really on track with this. Um, you know, I don't like the guy. I think he's a snake and I think he's gross, but the guy really knows what's happening in this house. Party all along has claimed to be, you know, this nice guy. Well, clearly he's not that. He can't be trusted. That's my role. A lot of what Kent was saying was true. But unfortunately for him, it all but sealed his fate. Now, we could just skip ahead to the eviction, but actually, no, we can't because what's about to happen right now is the single biggest turning point in Will's game. As I've mentioned, Will had been getting closer and closer with Nicole, breaking down her walls more and more as each day went by, and they had some pretty humorous interactions, which proved that their relationship had definitely grown far from their very rocky beginning. I explained to her that I know that she's in love with me. You think that I'm falling in love with you? That's what I'm saying. Is it so far-fetched? He is a freak. Okay, in that world, are you in love with me? No, but I mean I do have a serious girlfriend and I have a serious husband. Do you want to discuss this while I'm showering? God, I'd love to. Will it in the shower right now? And he didn't crack. So then I had to crack. Where are you going? However, Nicole wasn't the only person that Will had been working on. Will also started fostering a relationship with both Christa and Monica, too. And this was very important. Will and Christa had already established a certain level of rapport with one another, and being able to bond over their sadness with Boogie's departure certainly helped the two grow closer, but Monica changing her tune about Will felt much more monumental. Monica was a very straightforward woman. She said what she meant, and she meant what she said. Monica had been very against Will since the very beginning, and she was open about it, too. But Will's new attitude was making her reconsider her stance on him. And I'm becoming to understand Will. So I got it and I understood it. Anyways, following the events of the fight between Hardy and Kent, it seems that Christa started to realize just how big of a threat Hardy actually was. So she went to Will, someone she felt she could trust at this point, and let him in on some pretty groundbreaking information. Since the beginning of the game, herself, Monica, and Hardy had been in a secret threeperson alliance called the Untouchables, with the goal being to get to the final three together. However, Christa had noticed just how close Hardy had gotten with Nicole, possibly even closer than she was with Hardy, and it made her change her mind about their final three plan. Hardy was a threat that she could no longer fully trust. But she also felt that she couldn't personally be the one to take out Hardy as that would be a pretty big betrayal. But you know who could take out Hardy for her? Will. Christa's plan here was for Will to win in HOH, take out Hardy, and then basically have Will replace Hardy in their final three plan. All because Will wasn't perceived to be a threat to win like Hardy was. You ready to hear this? Today I had confirmation from Christa of all people that she is in a secret alliance with Hardy and Monica. You get hit a household on Thursday. You putting up. I don't know. What did you promise? Oh, you brilliant little [ __ ] This is how it's going to go down. Me and Monica be final three. Mhm. You cut Monica. Will have simply held on to this information and kept it a secret like Christa had implied. But Will's not the honest doctor. He's the evil doctor. Will went straight to Nicole and told her about the secret alliance, obviously embellishing the facts here and there where he felt it would be beneficial to him. And the result was more than he could have ever asked for. Nicole felt utterly betrayed and upset that those three had been working together behind her back. Hardy was supposed to be her number one guy, but he never told her about the untouchables. Is Nicole going to do if she finds out? I don't know. And she's not going to. Christa said that her, Hardy, and Monica, they have a group and she's positive that Hardy wouldn't put her or Monica out even ahead of you. I really made it up and my favorite part about it is everyone believes it. Pretty good, right? So, at this point, not only did Nicole now want to target Christa and Monica, but she also started losing some trust with Hardy, which in turn boosted Will up in Nicole's trust rankings. I have a lot of respect for Will, even though he is the evil doctor. Well, he is my one and only ally in here, which is the most pathetic thing that I've ever been able to say in here. I hope Nicole trusts me. However, um she shouldn't. If she does, she's stupid. I tried to evict her the first week and I'm going to try to evict her some other point. In just one day, Will found himself in a position where Christa and Monica potentially wanted to go final three with him. Nicole now had her sight set on two new targets that wasn't himself. And Hardy, the person who Will was still determined to evict before he left the game, had lost some favor with Christa, Monica, and Nicole. This week could not have been going any better for Will, which is hilarious and ironic since all of this was happening while he was still on the block. My role at this time is to eliminate Hardy, jump into that alliance with Christa and Monica and try not to get Nicole mad at me for eliminating Hardy. Given the fact that Will had all these people wanting to work with him now, he had the votes to stay. While Kent did give an honest effort and tried to gather the votes, it was a lost cause. When eviction night came, not even Bunky, his closest ally, voted to keep him. And by a vote of 4 days zero, Kent was evicted from the Big Brother house. And Will survived his second eviction night on the block. I hated everything about Will in the first 10 days I was here, but Will has definitely um redeemed himself. I vote to evict Kent. By a vote of 4 to0, Kent, you are evicted from the Big Brother house. Going into the final six HOH, Will did what he does best, intentionally losing the HOH competition. Will pretty much came in last place like usual, but he got a pretty awesome outcome once Nicole won the HOH. Who wants to volunteer to be nominated? I've been nominated more than anyone in the house. Okay, that's true. Will had planted the seeds the prior week for Nicole to possibly target Hardy. However, Hardy did a really good job once Nicole won the HOH to win her back over and get on her good side. So Hardy was unfortunately now off the table and if Will wanted him gone, he'd have to find another way to do so. Rather than targeting Hardy, Nicole seemed to be leaning towards nominating the duo of Christa and Monica, which made sense. Unfortunately for Will, Nicole leaked to Christa the fact that herself, Hardy, and Will basically had made a threeperson pact. And this greatly upset Christa because it alerted her to the fact that Will was not being fully truthful with her and it possibly meant that Will wasn't being genuine about their final three agreement. Christa showcased her disgust with Will. But to Will's credit, he lied on the spot in a way that made sense and then also set up a house meeting to try and subtly push the blame back in the direction of Nicole and Hardy as opposed to himself. real. Look, you little [ __ ] You betrayed me. No, there's just other things you don't know which I'm going to explain to you. I've prided myself on lying since day one and I have to continue that. Otherwise, people will feel that down. The thing I did not tell you is that they said that they wanted to put you in the finals. I'm all for them trying to get you to the top. And me, too. If it came down to us four, I was going to try to stab them in the back. Okay. I thought the people in here were my friends somewhat. Well, let's go have a big group discussion. Let's do this. Um, and what I really meant was let's place the blame on a lot of other people besides me. This worked almost exactly as Will planned it because it only took a minute before Christa and Hardy started arguing and then they ratted on themselves and exposed the untouchables to the rest of the house. Humorously, this all occurred just minutes before Nicole had to make her nominations. And at this point, Will was like the safest person out of anyone. Nicole then left to make her nominations, and it was then revealed that she had nominated Christa and Monica for eviction. Now, initially it seemed like Monica was actually the target here, and that was great for Will. Even though Christa had been upset with Will to start the week off, the two of them still had a decent connection, and she would be much more beneficial to Will's game than Monica would be. Unfortunately, that plan didn't stick for very long. Nicole and Hardy realized that it would actually be better for their game if Christa left this week instead of Monica and they were very easily able to get Bunky on board. This meant that the votes were already locked in for Christa to leave. And even though Will tried to convince Nicole otherwise, she was set in her ways. I guess I'll vote her out. No. Crystal likes you and I think Crystal likes me. Yeah. And that's good for us. Well, because Monica doesn't. At this point, Will should have probably just left it at that and tried to find a way to pivot going into the final five. But instead, Will pushed the envelope a little too far. Will was pretty adamant about wanting to give Christa a sympathy vote, whether it be for jury management or to fulfill a promise he made to Mike Boogie to look out for Christa. Either way, he approached Nicole about this idea. I'd at least like to give Christa a sympathy vote. I just really want to get a sympathy vote. Well, I'm sorry. I'm just aggravated that now it's like you're changing. No, I'm not changing anything. I'm not changing anything. Nicole obviously hated this and she shut it down pretty quickly. But Will kept bringing it up and this was really bad for his game. You see, for whatever reason, Nicole and Hardy had wanted this vote to be a blindside on Christa. But at some point in the week, Christa found out that she was going home. Because of all the pestering Will had done about voting to keep Christa, Nicole and Hardy naturally figured that Will must have been the one to leak the plan to Christa. And the two of them lost a lot of trust in Will. So much so that he was now back on their radars as a potential target in the next round or so. Mainly for Hardy though, as Nicole still saw value in Will as someone she could beat in the end. It's only who told them. I would think Will. The crazy thing is though, Will didn't tell Christa. Christa actually figured it out during a conversation with Bunky. But perception is reality in the Big Brother house. and Nicole and Hardy perceived Will to be the one who exposed the plan. If I want HOH, I'm putting Santa Monica up and I want him to leave. He's doing and saying and lying and deceiving. And guess what? There's some people who fell for it. When eviction night came, Will reluctantly voted to evict Christa. And by a vote of three to zero, Christa was evicted from the Big Brother house. Well, Julie, in this house, to speak your mind is to dig your own grave. I am voting to evict Christa. Christa. Krista. By a vote of three to zero, Christa, you are evicted from the Big Brother house. You're not a weak. The weak thing was telling me out to them and you promised boogie. But that's all right. You came in your lying. I'm so sorry. It's all right. Christa was actually a very powerful and active player during this season. So, her leaving should have been somewhat of a good thing for Will. But he was actually feeling really down about it. He felt small and cowardly that he bent to the wills of Nicole and Hardy instead of giving her a sympathy vote. Especially since Christa was the reason that he was able to survive week 2. This was a different type of Dr. Will in one of those rare moments where his emotions surfaced and took over his usual game persona. I truly felt uh you know this big. I just felt like a total coward when Crystal left. It just drew up so much emotion. I think Will felt selfish and felt bad about feeling selfish, which is not like Will. And there's hope for the evil doctor. A few moments later, when I was crying on the basketball court, I went over to talk to Monica to make sure that she saw me crying because I really don't want them um perceiving me as strong. Going into the final five, we got a pretty goofy situation. Because of Justin's expulsion, there was now just this empty week where nothing would actually happen in order to get the schedule back on track. I won't talk about everything that happened here, but the one overarching important theme of this week was Bunky really coming into himself. All season long, Bunky had been a timid, scared, and weak player. But he was sick of that. So this week, Bunky basically said, "F it. I'm not scared of anyone in this house, and I can stand up to the best of them, aka Hardy." Just keep that in mind. Anyways, when the long week was over, the players finally got to compete in the final five HOH. While Will had been throwing the past few HOH competitions, this was one where he actually felt like he needed to win it. Especially since he was worried that Hardy was going to turn on him. Of all the times that I've purposely lost the HOH competitions, this might be the time that I really need to win it because if I don't win it, I'm out on the street. Unfortunately, Will was not very good at controlling the RV cars for this competition, and he wasn't able to make it past the first round. Big Brother banned me from playing with the cars um because of a couple small incences that took place. Oh well, Bunky and Hardy moved on to the final round instead. And in a surprisingly close-fought battle, Bunky was not able to pull out the win and instead Hardy won his third HOH of the season. Hopefully, my little plan will come to fruition in bringing Chilltown or what's remaining of Will to an end. This was a terrible outcome for Will and he knew it. Will felt confident that Hardy wanted him not only nominated but probably evicted, too. And since Hardy had all the power, it was looking very likely that Will would walk out the door this week. I suspect I'll be nominated again. However, Will still had one person in his corner, Nicole. As I've mentioned, Nicole saw immense value in keeping Will in the game. His complete lack of competition ability made him so non-threatening to the point that Nicole genuinely wanted to bring Will to the final three with her and Hardy. Chances of me winning the show is zero. Chance of me winning h right next to zero. I'm the weakest person in the house. Who are we kidding? It's very hard for me to see that Will may go up for nomination. My new haircut makes you love me that much more. Really? You're certainly out the door if you keep on to that one. So Nicole went to Hardy and started pitching for him to keep Will off the block or at the very least for Will not to be the target. And you know what? It kind of worked. Although, it certainly did help that Bunky had really emerged as a threat this week. Bunky was more confident. He was standing up to Hardy more than ever and he had been on a small competitive streak with food challenges that I haven't talked about as well as almost beating Hardy in the final five HOH. So, in Hardy's mind, even though Will had jumped back on his radar after the Christa stuff, Bunky had become much more of a personal threat, especially since Will was still proving to be atrocious at competitions. Uh-uh. Well, that's Will for you. Following this, Hardy actually sought out Will to make a deal. If Will promised to not nominate both Hardy and Nicole together if he won HOH at the final four, which would effectively make the final three, Will, Hardy, and Nicole, then Hardy promised Will that he would not be evicted here at the final five. Will immediately accepted the deal as he knew this was his one and only opportunity to survive this week. But he was completely lying to Hardy. If Will were to win the final four HOH, he was 100% nominating both Hardy and Nicole as it was the only way that Will could evict Hardy. But obviously to Hardy's face, Will was all about going to the final three together because it was the only thing keeping him safe in the game. If you give me your word that if you win Hoh, you won't nominate both of Nicole and I. We'll keep you here for another week. I'm done. Some village is missing their idiot if they think that I'm not going to stab him in the back. Now, even though Hardy promised Will safety, he didn't promise Will that he wouldn't be nominated. So, when it was time for the nomination ceremony, Hardy revealed that he nominated Will and Bunky for eviction. Will nominated you uh because not nominating you would be like Christmas without presents. This was Will's third time being nominated, but just like every other time, Will played it cool and calm, knowing it would help him stay. Throughout the week, Will was annoying Nicole as he normally does. But maybe he could have chosen a better week to do it because she was getting seriously fed up with him. And her and Hardy even considered swaying from their plan in evicting Will. Every day I wake up and I have to say, "Will, please keep your mouth shut today. Don't get Nicole mad or you're going to be going home. I can do it. Two hours later. Um, she said that I could dress her doll up for her. Okay. What? You're going to put nipples on a doll? I'm not done yet. Will, don't have any fun. Don't have any fun. Don't have any fun. You know how pissed off I get. What are you thinking? I can't go back out there with this or she'll kill me. At least he's safe. Well, he's mistaken. However, Will did an excellent job continuously reassuring the two of them that their deal was still on 100%. Will would go out there, win the final four, HOH, nominate Monica and Hardy for eviction, and then Nicole would have the sole vote to evict and she could evict Monica and the three of them would be in the final three together. I think Nicole's living in denial, and I'm not talking about that river in Egypt. If you keep me in this house, of course I'm going to stab you in the back and nominate you and Hardy. I know that you're like the evil doctor, liar, or whatever. You're not want to me on this deal. All right, no problem, dude. I promise. He's a sucker. Even though they knew they were making a deal with the devil, they trusted that Will would go through with it. So, they stuck to their end of the deal. When eviction night came, Monica actually voted to evict Will, as she and Bunky had become close this week. But Nicole voted to evict Bunky, creating a onetoone tie and forcing Hardy as the HOH to break the tie. If this had been a month ago, Hardy would have sent Will out the door before Julie could even ask him to cast his vote. But Will had worked very hard this past month to shift his perception in the House, and it was paying dividends here. With the sole vote to evict, Hardy chose to keep Will in the game. And he evicted Bunky in fifth place. It's all about strategy. I'm part of the team. I vote to evict Bunky. Will house guests, for the first time, we have a tie. Because of the strategic nature of this game, I choose to evict Bunky. Bunky, you are now evicted from the Big Brother house. I call you a true friend. Bunky, I really think the world of you and uh you're a great guy. Keep your chin up and I'll see you soon. Three times on the block, three times off the block. Will was the pinnacle of survival at this point. But as we now head into the endgame, survival might not be enough to garner him the win. No one is going to be more evil than me, and no one's going to lie uh worse than me. Following Bunky's eviction, the players headed into the backyard to compete in the first ever endurance HOH comp. Will, Nicole, and Monica went to lay on a waterbed, and whoever was the last one holding on to their key would become the final four HOH. For Will, it was imperative that Nicole did not win this head of household. Will knew that winning the game would be a long shot if it was himself, Nicole, and Hardy in the final three. Hardy had to get evicted this round. But if Nicole won, then Hardy would be safe. Luckily, it was a cold night outside. And 4 hours into this competition, Will was moving around the water bed a lot and pulled off some of the sheet that Nicole was using to cover herself. Without even thinking, Nicole went to pull the sheet back over herself with both hands. Just like that, Nicole had let go of her key and she was eliminated from the competition. Nicole was absolutely devastated. But as soon as she left the backyard, Will turned to Monica quietly but excitedly. One of them's going home next week, Ma. Will immediately started talking strategy with Monica. Even though the two of them had really never worked together throughout the season, with Monica literally just voting to evict Will a couple hours prior, Will was pushing the agenda that Hardy and Nicole were so dangerous as a pair that no matter who won HOH, they needed to send one of them home. It's no secret they're together. Well, who do you want to send home? Whoever you want to send home. I got you. I have a new best friend in the house. Hello, it's Monica. Monica was right there with him, thinking along those very same lines. And once Will got that confirmation from her, he knew that he didn't have to win this. So when Big Brother tempted the players with a mystery prize if they let go of their key, much to the dismay of Hardy and Nicole, Will took the offer, letting go of his key in the process and crowning Monica the new HOH. I came into this house to gamble. Yeah, I was gambling about the prize, but what I was really gambling on is that Monica not nominating me. Now, this was a pretty big risk. If Monica nominated Will, he was 100% being evicted, no questions asked. But after their discussion on the watered, Will felt confident that she wouldn't nominate him. And then that would put Will in an immensely powerful position. he would have the sole vote in sending either Nicole or Hardy home. I'm the only person who votes this week. I can make any secret deal I want with either Hardy or Nicole. Hardy and Nicole were both extremely displeased with Will and regretted voting to keep him earlier that night. But Will knew that their feelings in this moment didn't matter. If all went to plan, they would be powerless to retaliate. And for the first time in this entire season, Will would be the one holding their fate in his hands. Will sold us out for a big peanut butter jar. So, you going to finish up the series with the Dr. Evil thing, Will? Yeah. Anyways, Will knew that Nicole was going to be beyond upset with him for throwing this HOH. So he let her stew in the hatred for a little bit of time before speaking with her outside and buttering her up tremendously. The worst days I had here were the days that you didn't talk to me. I hold myself responsible for so many horrible things that have happened to you and I hold you responsible for so many good things that happened to me. I don't think that you have any human qualities. I have some. And if I have them for anyone in this house, it's you. At this point in time, Nicole was actually almost completely broken, both because of the game as well as some outside circumstances involving her husband sending a banner plane over the house with a message indicating that he was heartbroken because he thought that she was fooling around with Will. And apparently a banner plane had flown over saying something about Nicole and Will in the hot tub. So, with Will's HO8's betrayal, the stress of being so close to the end of the game, and this new possibility of a broken marriage, Nicole hardly had the strength or fight in her to discern whether or not Will was BSing her. And I truly did feel bad for her. But from a pure game perspective, Will was admittedly manipulating her perfectly. and he was already replanting their foundation and making sure that she was still going to take him to the final two even though he had completely betrayed her this week. I swear to God, Will, you've taken so much out of me. I don't even have enough strength to hate you. When it was time for nominations, Will held his breath, hoping that his bet paid off. Monica went to pull the only key out of the box, and the name on it was Will's. Will had gambled successfully. And not only was he now safe and going to the final three, but he would get to choose who made it there with him. Well, you're safe. Ironically, Will is safe, right? You're safe, right? The power is not up for grabs this week. I have the power. Even though Will presented it like he had a decision, I feel like he knew what his choice was from minute one. Not only had Hardy nominated him all three times he was HOH and not only was Hardy also the most likely player to win the final HOH and evict Will, but Hardy was the one who tore him apart from Shannon. When Shannon left the house, Will made a promise to avenge Shannon's departure and send Hardy home through any means necessary. And now Will had the power to look Hardy right in the eyes and personally tell him to walk out of the house. I hold him fully responsible um single-handedly for the eviction of Shannon. The only regret I have is that I can't evict them both. When eviction night came, Will was actually given the choice to make his vote in private, but he wanted to do it in front of the nominees. So he stood up, gave a little speech, and although it looked like he might actually evict Nicole, it was only a fake out, and he officially evicted Hardy, solidifying him as the fourth place finisher and finally avenging Shannon after 42 days. Nicole, it's no secret lately that it's been very difficult for you in the house. I finally decided to evict Hardy. Well, I wish you the best of luck. Thanks. I do appreciate it. you're, you know, you've really gone very far in this house. Um, and you know, I appreciate who you are. I purposely wanted to scare Nicole, so I sort of, you know, tended to lean toward her. I tried to mix it up. Come on, you mixed it, right? Mixed it up, right? With that, Will's main adversary from the season was finally gone. And Will was at the final three. He'd only need to survive one more round, and he would be in the final two. Well, that showing up as a humdinger show. Yeah. Like, whoa. It's like, whoa. It's like, whoa. It's like, whoa. The evil doctor is back. Nicole, Monica, Will. This was it. The final three players. Just to give you an idea of where everybody stood, this is what each player would do in the event that they won the final had a household. Although Will consistently portrayed in this final week that he would cut Nicole if he won, he was actually going to cut Monica and take Nicole to the final two because he knew he had a way better shot at beating Nicole than Monica, who was much more well-liked and respected by the jurors. Similarly, although Nicole consistently talked about how much of a thorn in her side Will was and how she would take such personal satisfaction in evicting Will, she was actually going to take Will to the end and cut Monica if she won the final HOH because Will had done such an effective job convincing her that Monica was a big jury threat while he was such an easy beat. And then lastly, there was Monica. If Monica were to win the final HOH, she was also going to bring Will to the final two. Not just because Will had created the perception that he would lose to anyone in the end, but also because Monica just didn't like Nicole very much at this point. And she had promised Will that she would take him. So Will was effectively guaranteed to make it to the final two. However, that didn't mean Will could just take the week off. If Monica won the final HOH, then yeah, Will would make it to the end, but he would actually lose to her, whereas he did at least stand a chance against Nicole, despite what he had been telling her all season long. So, going into this three-part competition, Will was actually gunning for the win. Now, parts one and two of this final HOH worked a little bit differently than final HOH's today. All three of them would play in parts one and two. And whichever two players earned the most points in those two rounds combined would advance to part three. The players went to go compete in part one. And for the first time all season, Will actually performed decently and he scored the most amount of points. Which one of you does Bunky think is arrogant? The answer is Will. Congratulations, Will. you are in first place with five points. However, he seemingly erased that slight lead he had after performing the worst amongst the three in part two. But was it bad enough to eliminate him from part three? Well, it was revealed that Nicole had a total score of 11 points, Monica had a total score of nine points, and Will had a total score of 10 points. This meant that Monica was eliminated from contention and Will would advance to part three alongside Nicole. At this point, Will and Nicole both knew that they were taking each other. And it created this really funny dilemma where both of them actually wanted to throw it to the other person so that they didn't have to get the blood on their hands and do the dirty work of sending Monica home. It certainly is an expensive gamble, you know, as to whether or not I should lose this HOH. Are you comfortable with an HOH? I don't want it. However, once part three began, I feel like they both gave it an honest effort. Will did really well, only missing one question the whole time, but Nicole didn't miss any, which meant that she was crowned the final HOH, and she was tasked with casting the final eviction vote. Great. I feel great about that. Even though Will felt confident that Nicole would keep him, he was still in a precarious position being on the block for the fourth time this season and all it would take was one swift change of heart and he could be evicted in just a couple of minutes. However, no such change of heart occurred and Nicole ultimately chose to evict Monica in third place. I need to take the person I have a chance against winning and unfortunately that's Will. Monica, I'm sorry I have to evict you. Monica, you are now evicted from the bank. All right, baby. Not a problem, baby. It's on when we out of here. I've really fallen in love with who Monica is, and I want to be friends after this. I love you, and I'll see you soon. I love you, too, baby. With that, Will had officially made it as far as he could in the game. He was at the final two and the only person standing in his way of $500,000 was his rival/friend/eneemy/all ally Nicole. I came in this house saying that I was going to lie. And that's exactly what I did. If you got burned in this house, it's your own fault. Too bad. So sad. Before we get to the final two jury questioning, there's one key aspect to Will's game that I've purposefully not been talking about. Will's idea of jury management, or more specifically, Will's diary room persona. I withheld this from you because I wanted this to be a genuine and thoughtprovoking exercise on your part. You see, because there was no secluded jury house this season, every time a player was evicted, they went straight back to their homes and were able to watch all the episodes come out in real time, just like everyone else. So, the way Will was acting in the diary room and how he depicted his role in many of the events that took place throughout the season was not just for the viewers at home. It was for the evicted players, the jurors. Every time Will was putting on the charm in his confessionals or undercutting Nicole's game while uplifting his own or explaining the thought process behind a move that benefited him in the game. It was all intentional. Will knew that he rubbed a lot of players the wrong way and plenty of them probably walked out the door thinking that they would never vote for Will in the end. So Will used the diary room and the show as a whole as a way to try and win them back. And he did this by making himself a rooable underdog. He wrote the story about how he was the last survivor of Chilltown. And when it looked like there was no hope for him, he always found a way to survive by using his devious charm to trick the other house guests into keeping him around week after week after week. He'd consistently undermine players such as Hardy and Nicole by pointing out their hypocrisy while hoisting his own way of playing up on a pedestal. Yeah, he lied and cheated and stole, but he told everyone from day one that that's what he was going to do. So, not only did this ironically make Will look more honest and honorable than Nicole, who had lied on many occasions, but never really admitted to doing it, but it also made Will look like a much better strategist since all these house guests were falling for Will's lies even though he had told them that he would lie to get ahead in the game. You know, I really try to teach everyone and uh they just won't pay attention. I tell them right to their face, I'm going to stab you in the back. I'm going to lie to you. and they looked me right in the face and they said, "No, you won't. We trust you." And uh I burn them every time. It wasn't just Nicole and Hardy that Will was lying to, though. It was all of the jervers, too. While typically based in truth, a lot of what Will said in the diary room was a pretty big embellishment of what was actually going on. But because he would present things in such a convincing way, they sort of just became the truth. Did Will throw every HOH competition from week one up through the final HOH? No, I genuinely don't think so. But he was able to cohesively present it on the show that he not only had thrown every HOH competition, but that it was his plan from before the game even began, knowing that the jurors would see it as a risky and bold, but admittedly successful strategic move. I knew I had a crazy philosophy coming in um to try to lose everything. And smartest thing I've done in this entire game was to falsely befriend Nicole. By utilizing the diary room, Will controlled the narrative. His retelling and his perception became reality. And it was the one thing that gave him a legitimate shot at beating Nicole in the end. I hope Nicole trusts me. However, um she shouldn't. If she does, she's stupid. I tried to evict her the first week and I'm going to try to evict her some other point. So, now that I've shown you this, I have one question. Did it work on you? I've certainly shown enough of Will's diary room sessions at this point to give you an idea of the type of confessional that Will would typically give. And in turn, I've shown you firsthand one of the ways that Will was attempting to win over the jurors. It's obviously hard to have a raw answer on whether or not this would actually work on you given that you aren't actually a juror. You haven't seen nearly as many confessionals from Nicole to compare it to, and you've only watched my presentation of the events as opposed to the full story told on the episodes. But I still thought it might be a fun experiment to hold on to this aspect of Will's game until the very end of the video and to see if Will's confessionals had any solid impact on your perception of his game. Is anyone proud of me besides me? To me, just having the satisfaction of knowing that there's people in the house that are more evil than me. I really enjoy that. Anyways, back to the final two. It's a good thing that Will had all season long to try and sway the jurors in his favor because his answers to the jury questions as well as his final speech were not necessarily the greatest. Instead of giving the jurors the answers they wanted to hear, he was pretty arrogant and a little pompous. And while I can at least say that it was consistent with how he had portrayed himself throughout the season, he should have had the wherewithal to switch his tuneup here instead of this opportunity bolstering his chances of winning. Most of the jurors were left shaking their heads in disbelief with a few even commenting that he may have just lost himself half a million dollars. At least it was iconic and memorable though. What percentage of the money will you give to charities? Percentage of money that's going to go to charities. I'm looking at none. I know some people out there are not happy with the way the show went down. If you're not happy with this show, maybe you're not happy with reality based TV in general. Maybe you're not happy with with, as the name suggests, reality. It just might be yourself you're not happy with. So don't place all the blame on me. You all need to learn to love each other. Will's arrogance disgusts me. If Will would have just shut his mouth. I thought for sure he had this one, but after his speech, I don't know. While Will may have hurt his winning chances here, he was lucky in the sense that Nicole didn't have any jaw-dropping answers to her questions either. So hopefully he didn't hurt himself too much and he could still gain the necessary votes to win. One by one, the nine evicted house guests other than Justin went and secretly cast their votes for the winner. And while this is normally where I would say that Will's game was finished, there was one more order of business to attend to. Mike Boogie proposing to Christa. No, I'm just kidding. Well, no, I'm actually not kidding. That did happen. But there was one more game thing to take place. For the only time ever, Will and Nicole each were allowed to eliminate one juror's vote of their choosing before it was revealed. If Will picked incorrectly here, he could theoretically remove a jury vote for himself. But luckily, Will read the situation correctly, and he chose to eliminate Bunky's key, which was then revealed to be a vote for Nicole. So, I chose to eliminate Bunky cuz I thought he would vote for Nicole. I voted for Nicole to win. And actually, it was a vote for you to lose, Will. On the flip side though, Nicole chose to eliminate Shannon's key, which was obviously a vote for Will. So, overall, things just canceled out. With that now taken care of, it was time to get to the main event, the actual vote reveal. And to make it all the more exciting, each of the jurors were in the house and would be pulling out the keys themselves. Autumn voted for Nicole. Christa voted for Will. Hardy voted for Nicole. Mike Boogie voted for Will. Kent voted for Will. Cheryl voted for Will. And Monica voted for Will. By a vote of five to2, Will Kirby was crowned the winner of Big Brother 2. I voted um for Will to win. I voted for Will. I voted for Will to win. Will, I felt you played the best. And I voted for you, baby. Congratulations. I just have to make it official. Congratulations, Will. You are the winner of Big Brother 2. I'm so happy. I'm so happy to see you. Will's game from beginning to end was pretty jaw-dropping, but not always for the right reasons. Will came into the game and instantly formed a connection with Mike Boogie and Shannon, making the Chilltown Alliance. He thought they had a leg up on the competition, but he was quickly proven wrong after the house came together and turned on Chilltown by keeping Nicole in week one and sending Cheryl home. Will's cocky attitude combined with being seen as the leader of Chilltown put him in a dire position, and he looked to be the primary target in both weeks two and three. But he was saved by Christa playing the middle in week two and then saved once more by Shannon's behavior in week three. Will began to make inroads with the other people starting in week four when he had made a deal with Kent to keep himself off the block, but it only seemed to push back the inevitable as Shannon and Boogie were evicted in backto back weeks and Will was left all on his own. However, Will made a historically impressive pivot at this point, and it became a whole new ball game. Will changed his attitude and demeanor inside the house, making himself more likable to his fellow house guests and even forming an alliance with Nicole and Hardy, as well as being sought after by Christa and Monica. Even though Will had become liked in the house, he would consistently bring up the fact that he was so hated by the jurors. when he used that as a reason to entice the others to bring him to the end of the game. All the while, Will was working overtime to try and change his perception to the jurors through the use of the diary room, and it worked as he painted himself as the charming devilish strategist. Will hit some rocky waters around the time of the final six and final five, but he was able to solidify a deal with Nicole and Hardy to keep himself safe, which allowed him to survive his third night on the block. At the final four, Will finally found his opportunity to avenge Shannon's eviction once he threw the HOH to Monica, effectively going back on his deal he had made with Hardy and Nicole just hours earlier. and he used his position of power to evict Hardy, who felt like the front runner for the season. At this point, Will found himself in the final three where somehow both Nicole and Monica were going to take him to the final two, which is really ridiculous to think about because Will started a season with both of them actively hating him. Then sitting next to Nicole at the final two, Will was viewed as the better strategist in large part due to how he sold his game in the confessionals. And it was enough to pull off the miracle 5 to2 win that felt like a true impossibility at the start of the game. How surprised are you, Will? Uh, I'm pretty surprised. I I didn't expect to be here, so this is a good feeling. One of the crazier aspects of Will's game is that he never once won a competition to save himself. To this day, there has still never been a winner who made it to the end without winning a single competition. But somehow, Will was able to pull it off on the very first iteration of the show. To have the goal to be on the first set of players to ever play this game and to be presented with a set of loose guidelines that pretty much say, "Hey, winning HOH is good and something you should strive for." But to then shake your head and say, "No, I'm going to lose them all on purpose." And then win the whole show is astounding. Even if I don't think Will threw every competition, it doesn't change the fact that he did lose all of them, yet still won the show. And that is such an impressive feat that I really don't think we'll ever see again. The only other players who have even come close to making it to the end without winning a competition were Derek F in Big Brother 23, who got zero votes to win, and then Dr. Will again in Big Brother Allstars. Will's strategy combined with his boldness and charisma made for a one-of-a-kind character in a truly worthy first winner of this style of Big Brother. You told so many lies in that house. Will, what was your favorite lie? Um, I wasn't arrested at Disney World for beating up Goofy. And I didn't kill someone with a piano wire and spend a year in juvenile detention. Now, at the end of these videos, I like to give the winner a rating on a scale of 1 to 10 to summarize how well I thought they played. And I think I struggled with Will's score more than almost any other winner yet. You see, Will had some really bad weeks on this season. He would have been evicted had anyone from the other side other than Christa won the week to HOH. He was going to be evicted again in week three had Shannon not completely blown up her own game. And had Nicole won HOH at the final four or Monica won HOH at the final three, Will wouldn't have won the game. That's like four instances right off the top of my head where Will could have lost the game had one little thing changed. Also, in general, Will had such little control throughout the season. Really, the only time he actually had control was at the final four. On the flip side, though, even without holding much control, Will had some extremely impressive weeks. Playing into Ken's strategy to keep himself safe in week four was very good. Will's entire week five was brilliant, and he completely shifted both his position and winning chances in expert fashion. and Will's navigation at the final five to keep himself safe and then going back on that immediately at the final four in order to get Hardy evicted was exactly what he needed to do in order to win the game. So, he deserves a lot of credit for recognizing it and pulling it off. The negatives to Will's game are pretty big and bold, but the positives are really stellar, too. So, finding a healthy in between is pretty difficult. Overall though, I think I'm going to give Will's Game on Big Brother 2 a 7.4 out of 10. Honestly, this might actually be a little bit high, but I wanted to give a little bit of a cushion to compensate for the fact that this was the first iteration of the format, so Will had practically nothing to base his game off of. Plus, for all the big Dr. Will fans, we all know that his best and most impressive game came his second time around in All Stars. Looks going to look like flesh on the outside. You rip it open and it's just circuitry and wires. They don't even know what's going to hit them. And there we go. I genuinely think I need to hire someone to come and Thanos snap my scripts so they are 50% as long because I don't know how I managed to talk this long about Big Brother 2. As for what's coming up next, we are about to get into the Big Brother 27 season. So, it might be a bit of a wait before my next winter video as I make my more standard top fives and history ofs and whatnots, but I still plan on dropping the next big winner video during the season. Since we've started the Chilltown Saga, I feel it only makes sense that we continue on with it and cover Mike Boogie's win in Allstars next. Plus, this gives me a good reason to cover one of the more um controversial figures now instead of pushing them all to the end like I've currently been doing. I'm at the nomination ceremony and case sir, put both our keys in the box. With that, we are finally done for the day. Thank you so much for watching. If you're new here, consider subscribing. I of course need to give that extra special shout out to all of my YouTube members and patrons who I feel could have won at least one HOH competition if they played on Big Brother. And as always, here's a clip for you on your way out. Can you not be in alliance? I'm 100% serious and everybody could know about it. Will, I'd love to be in alliance with you, buddy. Hey, Bunky. That plan that we talked about, uh, excuse me, Bunky's in alliance with me. Takes a little while to warm up. Nicole and I don't have all that much in common, but the one thing we do have in common is um that we're both attracted to me. Which of the following would you like to see added to their backyard? If we get new grass, we can water and we can sit out there and watch the grass grow. Let's decide what to do to Bunky now if we did grass. Just when I think America's Choice can't go any worse. You totally redeem yourself. We got a trampoline. Sometimes you got to know when going to town. You know, that's the smartest thing I've heard anyone say since I've been here. Um I don't even know what she was talking about. It just seemed like a good idea for me to say that cuz it's on. Now, when Monica says it's on, that might mean that the light in the living room was on or it might mean that she's going to punch you in the face. I really have no idea what she means by it's
