Overview of Circulatory Pathways

okay so the final section for chapter 19 we're going to talk a little bit about the circulatory Pathways but most of this is too much information for lecture while you might need to know some of these blood vessels um for lab for lecture you don't the only thing you really need to understand for lecture are the two different circulatory Pathways the main ones so we have our pulmonary circulation systemic circulation what is that ref referring to um the rest of it is just images this one the schematic flowchart here is a good flowchart so you do need to know um the blood flow on this basic flow chart however the rest of the the stuff is really to help you reference your lab um especially when it's talking about the color of the blood vessels what that means and again that doesn't mean that it's an artery or vein it's referring to the level of oxygen the blood is actually carrying so if we're talking about a blue color sometimes that could represent a vein or an artery depending on if it's in the pulmonary circulation or the systemic circulation so this is the flowchart again you're not required to know this um extensive flow chart for lecture this is predominantly to help you with blood flow
