that you truly deserve in christ don't let your past continue to bog down your present and hold you back from your future if you're ever going to experience the fullness of your own promised land the first thing we need to do is kill the giants what do i mean by that let's find out together right after this okay there we go so when the woman saw that the tree was good for food that it was pleasant to the eyes and a tree desirable to make one wise she took of its fruit and ate she also gave it to her husband with her and he ate then the eyes of both of them were opened and they knew that they were naked and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings and so what we want to do is we want to focus on the idea that in the very beginning everybody knows the story that adam and eve sinned and they immediately knew that they were naked and so what this tells us is the original uh status that adam and eve were in were they were naked before god and i believe that this is a beautiful all this was in the physical realm you know they were light beans they didn't need to be covered by fig leaves or clothes because their clothes was the glory of god their garment was the glory of god and it took being naked to actually bring the glory of god into the earth realm into their lives to where just like moses when he was on top of the mountain when he came down his face was glowing it's because he was naked before god and he was his face was clothed in the glory of god and so ultimately if we want to have the image of christ in this earth realm if we want to express his glory into our world and increase the kingdom then we've got to disrobe ourself you know what i said we have to disrobe ourself we need to begin to get naked if you will before our king and that nakedness means we need to remove the fig leaves that adam and eve our forefathers put on and remove the sin and get back to the position the beautiful pure position of being in the vulnerable humble status that they were in and what's made what's amazing about that is that that humble naked status that they were in they didn't even realize that they were naked because the glory of god was so great in their life all of us want to get to that place where all people see in our life is god's face his glory yahweh's unprecedented light flowing through us and reflecting out of us and in order for that to happen we have to get naked get back to the place of nakedness that place where there is no robe of righteousness that we put on ourselves the only robe of righteousness is the righteousness of christ every sin that's beset us we put it aside we put it away we remove the generational influences the traumas have been we've been delivered from all of that brings us back to the garden where we can truly once again uh be humble before our king in this world to be naked is to be ashamed in yahweh's world to be naked is to have a great name and nakedness in front of the father means that you are displaying his name and his name is great and so all the great patriarchs men and women of the bible that have bowed the knee and become humble before their king disrobing themselves have been given a glorified position look at esther uh is a great example right esther disrobed herself she knew before she went in to see the king that by going in to see the king she would by default be automatically disrobed she would be likely removed as queen maybe even killed for approaching the king without him asking she took the ch the chance she disrobed herself became humble before the king and look what happened she was elevated to a higher position and so uh let's let's just ask the question right up front because all of this begs the uh the the the default understanding are we it brings us to the place where we understand that we are all in sin we are all in bondage right and the wages of that sin is death we're all got chains to some degree on our hands and feet and around our ways preventing us from really communicating the way that we're supposed to communicate you know i remember when i was uh in the worst possible place i could be and i was put in the hole across the street from the camp a six by nine cell and uh uh from my wife sending in a thank you card to my counselor uh for for letting someone come visit me without paperwork being finished and it was just a nice gesture that he did for me my wife sent in a thank you card and they arrested me and put me in the hole for bribery it was a fraudulent charge for sure uh but in that place it was a very very difficult difficult place that i've ever been in i felt like a pow and i remember that when i got to see my kids for the first time and my wife uh three weeks into it uh they they had i was bound so tightly with my hands and my my hands were connected to a chain around my waist and which was a chain around my ankles that when i went to pick up the phone i had a really i had to literally go like this in order to talk on the phone and so chains will bind you to the place where it will be difficult for you to communicate with anyone around you including god himself so that's what we're doing so what does it mean to be set free so i've got a definition here for being set free i hope you'll agree with me but to be set free is no longer to be restricted by evil powers by people or by your past let me say that again to be set free is no longer to be restricted or held back by evil people by by evil powers or by your past so the opposite of that is to be set free so to be uh set free is to be excuse me to be in bondage is to be restricted or held back by evil powers people or your past so what we want to do is we want to figure out what the evil powers are how do we defeat them how do we deal with people and how do we deal with our past because those are the three categories that will absolutely be the hands around your your excuse me that the chains around your hands or the evil powers the chains around your waist are people and the chains around your ankles are your past when we unravel each one of those you will be completely set free and when the father sets you free you will be free indeed so first and foremost let's deal with the evil power shall we evil powers is uh is one of the most uh fundamental foundational truths that we don't really talk enough about for sure so let's deal with it evil powers let's go to ephesians chapter 6 verse 12 and it says this very popular verse most of you familiar with it but it says for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities against powers against the rulers of darkness of this age against spiritual host of wickedness in heavenly places and then let's just go straight to john 14 30 because i think it's incredibly relevant it says i will no longer talk much with you yeshua is talking for the ruler of this world is coming and he has nothing in me and so the two things i want to point out there is number one there is a ruler of this world and and yeshua himself says satan has been given dominion over this world right now he has a lot of influence in this world he has a lot of minions that are doing his dirty work for him and uh and at the end of the day we don't fight against flesh and blood that's not what's happening we are all brothers uh humankind brothers if you will maybe not brothers in christ but all of us are equal as far as our blood and flesh we all come from adam and eve and so satan okay is the one that's influencing from the very beginning he influenced adam and eve to sin to get them out of alignment to create the trauma to create the generational sin to create the separation and it is him who is creating the chaos in this world we are simply influenced by the spiritual forces uh that are around us whether that be good or bad so when you when you are dedicating yourself to holy work of god if you dedicate yourself towards uh the work of ministry or or loving people and and and letting the spiritual gifts operate in your life what happens is is that you are uh you are allowing the father to work through you and influence you in the same way satan does the same thing when we do things that are contrary to the word of god we're giving him influence when we give him influence then what does he do he begins to set up grow his kingdom in the earth and so we can be used by satan we can use by him uh when the sun sets what's most important in this point is you understand we don't fight flesh and blood this is a spiritual battle so everything that i'm going to share with you because we're going to talk about near the end for sure a protocol that i have to help people be delivered and set free from the generational curses in their life from the personal sin and from the traumas that's been besetting them so that they could absolutely be free from all the chains that are binding them okay but it's important for you to know that this is not a just a physical carnal act of deliverance this is a spiritual battle that we're going to be fighting okay if you return with me to daniel chapter 10 i want to show you how powerful this spiritual battle actually is daniel chapter 10 verse 12 and 13 says this says then he said to me do not fear daniel for the from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to humble yourself before your god there's the key your words were heard and i have come before because of your words but the prince of the kingdom of persia withstood me 21 days and behold michael one of the chief princes okay talking about the princes of god came to help me for i had been left alone there with the kings of persia think about this guys this is one of the only verses in the entire bible that gives us an insight of the spiritual realm that when daniel began to pray and by the way there's a key phrase there he says he humbled himself when he humbled himself before god and and asked for divine assistance yahweh sent gabriel but gabriel could not defeat the prince of persia which is incredible to me to tell you how great of of power and strength was that particular fallen angel against gabriel he had to call in reinforcements one of the great princes of yahweh's kingdom to come and help him defeat the prince of persia so that gabriel could continue his mission to daniel this tells us exactly sometimes what happens when we pray and why you might be struggling with some of the sins of your past or sins of your present or generational stuff or traumas whatever it might be that we're going to dig into why you might be struggling with that is very simple when you pray things are happening and the enemy might be preventing an angel from god in assisting you and it takes persistence patience endurance and a non-quitting atmosphere of running the race to win knowing by faith that the father will always provide a way for you out and he will heal you always that is that is the key faith is the key humility and faith that we believe no matter what it doesn't matter what has happened to us no matter what we do what our struggle is we know and we believe in the promises of god that say that he who confesses their sin he will be faithful and just to forgive us that sin and heal us of all righteousness that all things become new for those that are in christ jesus so many powerful promises that were given in the lack of us coming into the promised land and obtaining what's been right rightfully given to us is simply because why we don't have faith we end up on the side of the ten spies that gave a negative report because all we see is the giants in our life all we see is our past all we see is the mistakes of our present we don't see that the father can deliver us we don't believe that he says if you resist the devil he will flee from you we don't believe that god can free us from the chains of our life or or quite frankly heal our spouse or or speak to our children we don't believe ultimately and that's why we don't see the miracles that we do today and so that we god wants us to see today i should say so i'm going to hopefully as we move through here give you some practical ideas and tips and some spiritual principles that will help bring you freedom okay all right so we talked about the evil princes like uh the three things that hold us back right we said bondage was the evil princes of the ear right let's go back to the evil powers people and our past so we talked about evil powers now let's talk about people boy let's talk about people you know as a pastor especially when i was full-time pastoring of a good-sized church and i was doing an enormous amount of counseling and sometimes till midnight midnight 30 well my wife is at home sleeping or waiting for me and i would be counseling late into the nights someone's marriage and i will tell you that pastoring is the easiest job and the greatest job on earth if there was no people like a shepherd that would be say that shepherding sheep is the easiest thing in the world if there just was no sheep but sheep really uh make a shepherd's job uh tough and so people make god's uh job tough and they make our job tough as servants of the most high right so as you are a servant it's difficult for you to serve god with all your heart mind soul and strength when there's people involved that you don't like and sometimes people do really hurtful things they do mean things sometimes they do flat out wicked and evil things and many of you that are watching this know what i'm talking about you've experienced that there's a high percentage of women that have been molested by their fathers and there there's so much that has happened in our paths uh past that deal with people that we need to learn what this looks like if we're going to truly uh be set free and so um i have printed out a a simple set of scriptures here from matthew chapter 5 that everybody is familiar with we're going to come back to this concept of how to deal with people but yeshua gives us the greatest instruction he doesn't unpack for us all the details of how to do this because what he says is extremely difficult and if you had only one commandment listen carefully because what i'ma say about to say is directly from heaven if there was only one commandment that god would want you to keep this would be it let's take a look at it here it says in matthew chapter 5 verse 43 it says you've heard that it was said you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy that's not what torah said but that's what they said but i say to you love your enemies bless those who curse you do good to those who hate you and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you that you may be sons of your father in heaven for he makes his son rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and the unjust for if you love those who love you what reward have you do not even the tax to collectors do the same and verse 47 says and if you greet your brethren only what do you do more than others do not even the tax collectors do that therefore you shall be perfect just as your father in heaven is perfect and so what we see here in matthew chapter 5 is a very well known set of scriptures where yeshua tries to set the table straight from the beginning and say look i know that this is difficult when people hurt you your natural reaction is to hurt them back when people use you your natural reaction is to get angry when people abuse you your natural reaction is to abuse back when you're in an argument with your spouse and your spouse demeans you in the middle of frustration calls you a name or makes you belittles you makes you feel stupid it's very natural for that inner anger to come up and come out on them to hurt them back after all one of the most famous phrases that uh that is out there i think in psychology is hurting people hurt people hurt people hurt people and so we need to change that because believers don't do that we are hurt we don't hurt back so we need to train our flesh in the ways of the spirit how do we do that we simply pretend that they are our favorite people so those if you want to know how to do this is real simple the ones that are hurting you you treat them as if they are your favorite people and you bless them just like you would if if you got a thousand dollar check in the mail uh from a friend you would call them up and thank them and bless them and this is how we're supposed to treat our enemies and i i want you to think about this because i know i have been hurt deeply very very deeply in my life by very close friends of mine um and and and i remember feeling such anger such murderous thoughts have you ever had those thoughts go through your mind like really that level well i've been there i remember being in prison and having those thoughts towards people that were trying to hurt my family and and my and take away our ministry and steal things from us i remember those feelings and i remember god bringing me to a place where i i had to bless them and hand them over to him so that he could do the disciplining as long as i was in a position of anger the father kept his hand away from disciplining them because hey i took his position of authority to discipline them so why would he want to move in and do something that i'm doing so in order for him to take the position of father i had to remove myself from that authority to judgment uh that judgmental authority and take a position a humble position of love and and to bless them and so i just want to encourage you that the short answer for how to deal with people is simply to bless everyone you meet there is no such thing as a critical spirit or anger it is simply bless love and look at it as hey i'm blessing you because you don't know what's coming god is probably not going to be happy with you and i feel sorry for you because you have stripped yourself of the robe of righteousness that yahweh wants to give you you've removed yourself from your own promotion i feel terrible for you because deep down i i wanted you to to succeed but you blew it and so i just pray god's blessing over your life that he would bless you at the greatest position that he can even though you know he can't so bless them knowing that they are going to get a royal spankin uh and let the father do what he's supposed to do because ultimately we don't want uh the father to treat us uh the way that we treat other people because let's just face it all of us have sinned every one of us have had adulterous thoughts murderous thoughts every one of us are thieves when it comes down to it we've had idolatry we've served different gods like there's nobody that has righteousness none like it doesn't matter who you are or how holy that you think you are or someone else is they're not our greatest righteousness the bible says is as filthy rags there's nothing that we can do to create righteousness so when when someone sins against us why would we want to take the position that we're better than them and judge them in their sin that's a short-sightedness my friend a shortsightedness says i only see the sin that's in front of me shortsightedness does not see the fact that we are the chief sinners you know paul said three times in his ministry that he was he was the chief sinner that no one could send more than him that he was worthless uh you know pile of garbage in today's words now nobody believes that because paul was so great in so many ways but the closer that he got to the messiah in his walk with him the more he realized that he was just so short of god's glory there's no way to judge your neighbor when you realize how short you are you know it's it's like if you were a in adultery be very difficult for you to judge someone else that's uh watching pornography you'd feel the greatest conviction come over you ever as the biggest hypocrite of all time to judge uh this person for looking at pornography while you're sleeping with another man's wife in the same way when we truly see our sin the way god sees it it's very difficult to to strike down another man and so let's begin the process shall we of uh of giving people the benefit of the doubt loving people where they're at realizing that everyone is in our shoes and what do i mean by that everyone has been hurt and you don't know why that person hurt you you don't know what kind of day they've had you don't know what kind of life they've had so let's pray for everyone and let everyone be in a position of blessing and let god decide whether your blessing should stand or not stand because let's just face it if they don't deserve blessing the father will not honor your prayer but he will honor you for having the heart of his son because you chose to get on the cross uh be silent and go to bat for them okay all right uh the next thing that we need to deal with we talked about evil powers we talked about people now let's talk about the great other p word the past and this is a strange but powerful word because past is like something that nobody wants to talk about let's just face it even kids hate history right we don't want to look at the past we want to just focus on the future and the focus on right now but the past is always the instrument that affects your present and it absolutely will form your future if it is not looked at and filtered through the eyes of of scriptures and through the eyes of the messiah so let's take a look at it um philippians chapter 3 verse 13 says this it says brethren i do not count myself to have apprehended but one thing i do forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead i press towards the goal for the prize of the upward call of christ jesus i love that scripture because that scripture says look i'm forgetting uh what's behind i'm reaching forward to those things that are in front of me right he says i press toward the goal of the upward call of god in christ jesus and and and we know this scripture like but but how do we forget the past i mean this is really easy to say i don't count myself to have apprehended but one thing i do i forget those things that are behind let me just be honest paul is not forgetting anything like nobody can forget the things behind so what is the apostle saying and how do we get to a place where we can let go of the past and we can move forward in into the future because i know what it's like to be painfully hurt to suffer deeply have massive trauma inflicted by people into your life and then once that happens it becomes this this incredible stain this pothole in your life that if not filled will just continually grow with water and sink deeper and deeper and deeper preventing you from going down that highway of life to get closer to the messiah so we've got to figure out how to deal with the past luke 9 62 says this it says but yeshua said to him no one having put his hand to the plow and looking back is fit for the kingdom when we focus on the past my friends you cannot uh focus on what's in front of you and uh if you don't focus on what's in front of you you will fall you will crash let me give you a great example i used to race dirt bikes on the circuit here in the state of missouri and in illinois i used to love riding dirt bikes whether it was in a race or just with my brother-in-law's at our local park and uh and one thing that you learn really fast and we rode through single track through woods so the the the track is is only a foot or two wide and there's trees and rocks and roots and everything on both sides and in the middle of the trail and you learn really fast when you're riding dirt bikes because you're going so fast that you go wherever you are looking at the bike will follow your eyes so whatever you're looking at that's where you're going to go so if i look at the obstacle that's in front of me i am liable to hit the obstacle so there was many times where i had a very very close call where i knew i was going to hit that tree because i had over pushed myself with speed and uh and the only way that i got out of it was i turned my head and i looked down the path down the trail and i gave it gas and the bike followed my head wherever my head went and where my eyes were looking is where the bike went and it's fascinating but it's absolutely so true and every time that i didn't do that and i looked at that tree i'm like okay don't hit that tree don't hit that tree that's the exact thing i would do i would hit that tree or i would hit that rock and when they taught me when a friend of mine taught me that it changed the way that i rode and it created a a smoother ride in the same way spiritually you will go where you look so if you're always looking at the past then that's where you're going to go you will never go in the future if you're always looking at that person that hurt you that's you're all that person now becomes the very roadblock that's in front of you that you are putting up every single time you see whenever they hurt you that was just an event that was one blip on your radar that was one instance in a timeline of million events but every time listen carefully every time that you think about that event in a negative way every time that you replay that in your head every time that you turn back around and you look behind you you are replaying that event you're taking that wall that stopped you in that moment in time and you're putting it right back up you are putting that wall right back up you are building the wall on your own highway brick by brick by focusing on the past by looking at it with unclean eyes so what i want to do is teach you how to deal with your past in this teaching so that you can never look over your shoulder again and you will because uh quite frankly if you're driving a car right next time you drive a car look over your left shoulder and see which way the car goes your hand begins to pull to the left the car begins to go to the left it's going to go whichever direction that your head is looking all right the best way listen the best way to remove temptation to look back is to remove what's there so there's nothing to look back to let me say that again the best way to remove temptation from looking back is to remove what's there so there's nothing to look back to if there's nothing there to look at you will not be tempted to look back it's the enemy strong man in your life that you let in that is actually reminding you of your past that's what's happening this is the ephesians 6 12. the enemy is whispering into your ear and you're letting it happen you're he's whispering in your ear how much that person hurts you every time you hear their name every time something goes on that person hurts you and you start to get frustrated those feelings start to come back he's wanting to get your eyes off the prize off the goal and he wants to slow down your car and so he wants you to look over your shoulder and that is what's happening it's the enemy speaking into your ear if you had the mind of god and you were listening to yeshua about loving your enemies and how he died for that person too and how you've got a lot of sins and that you've committed in your life maybe not as big as theirs but but one sin keeps you out of heaven and caused christ to die right when you really got perspective and you were listening to to the voice of the spirit then you would only look forward because he would say son daughter i have for i have forgiven you of your sins you let me deal with them i'm their father let's get you back on track i want to bless you let's keep looking forward hit the gas those encouraging words that coach mentality will get you down the road but we start listening to the enemy so the the very first thing that we need to do we need to bind the strong man we need to we need to shut his mouth and learn how to tune out that frequency so turn with me my friend to mark chapter 3 verse 27 let's talk about the strong man it says no one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods right here okay unless he first binds the strong man and then he will plunder his house okay so the first thing we got to learn is that you cannot go in and plunder a house until you bind the strong man so i know many people look at this and they and they pull this uh scripture out of mark as look there are strong men that are in our house but i don't read it only that way what i'm reading this is no one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods not that the strong man is plundering your goods because that is exactly what's happening which is why so many preachers focus on that but i'm focusing on the fact that no no no no no the strong man has goods and we want to plunder his house satan is the one that is the strong man and we have to plunder his house in order to plunder his house we need to get him out of the way all right he's the one that's holding all the inheritance goods that he's stole from you so we've got to get him out of the way in order to take everything back in numbers chapter 13 through 16 in in the torah portion called sherlock the sent one the 12 spies went into the land of canaan and what happened they first got hung up on what the strong men the giants they knew if they caleb and joshua knew that all they needed to do was get the john the giants out of the way bind the strong man and we will absolutely plunder the goods of the house so if you've got a strong man that is uh causing problems in your neck of the woods and has been there for a long time we need to get rid of them so let's first find out how does a strong man get access to our house there are only three ways that i have found as a minister uh and and someone who has helped hundreds of people get delivered there's only really three main categories that i've discovered that we need to deal with number one is generational sin the first and foremost i find as an influence into someone's life is how they grew up is the generational sin before they even were born their parents their grandparents every decision that they ever made uh their grandparents their their parents their great-grandparents ever made is going to affect them we know that from scriptures there's no way to get around it uh as a matter of fact numbers 14 8 makes us extremely clear let's take a look at it numbers 14 18 i should say it says the lord is long-suffering and abundant in mercy forgiving iniquity and transgression but he by no means clears the guilty visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation what does that mean my friends does that mean that all the children of those that have sinned are doomed no it means that there are frequencies that are going to influence the next generation if your father was an abusive alcoholic there is going to be some character traits that were passed down in the bloodline uh that are going to show up in rem in resonance in your life most likely that's why alcoholics beget alcoholics abusers typically beget abusers and so on and so forth and it works the opposite in righteousness that you will see a a person that lives righteously will raise up their kids in the way that they should go and then their kids won't depart and they raise their kids in righteousness and this is how we keep the righteous generational line and bloodline moving forward in christ right so generational curses and blessings are real and it's something that we need to look at uh as we are one wanting to be free i thought i would i would share this with you as well so that for some of you that don't recognize or believe that you don't have to be uh what your father was or what your mother was is ezekiel chapter 18 19 and 20. let's go there it says yet you say why should not the son suffer for the iniquity of the father when the son has done what is right and just and has been careful to observe all of my statutes he shall surely live the soul who sins shall die the son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself and so we see right here we see this is one says hey look man when you sin it's it's definitely going to affect your frequency is going to affect uh the the next generation but the father says look i'm not going to punish i am not going to punish your sons and your daughters for your wickedness that's going to be on them now will they be influenced by your wickedness for sure but i am not going to punish them for your sin they will stand or fall based on their own righteousness or their own sin and so the choice is up to us the choice is up to you and and i believe that god wants to do great things in your life and set us free leadership must be set free or the people will struggle in being set free and there's too many leaders out there today that are playing church and and just um granting themselves more grace than they should and not being honest and open with where they're at with the lord and with the sin in their life it's time that they get set free as well amen all right the second thing we talked about generational sin we talked about now we're going to talk about personal sin this is the second way that satan gets access to our lives is one through generational sin and second category that i discovered in years of of counseling is personal sin this is a pretty no-brainer uh but you know it's important to talk about isaiah 59 2 makes it clear as clear as scripture as i think there is it says but your iniquities have separated you from god and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he will not hear isaiah 59 2 god makes it very clear your sin will separate you from god he will not even be able to hear your prayer the the prayer of the of the unrighteous the bible says is a abomination to him we will not even allow he will not even allow our prayers to be heard when we are in a position of sin so it separates us from god when you're separated your soul gets your inner man gets frustrated okay so if you've ever been like frustrated you're not really sure why a lot of times it's because of the sin that is present in your life even if you don't even know you're in sin you might say well i'm not in any sin but if you had not properly repented from a sin in your past it's still present according to how yahweh works he's outside of time so for him it's like oh if you send us time doesn't always heal it certainly doesn't uh forgive okay repentance is what allows forgiveness to come into our lives and so uh personal sin uh is a big deal romans 8 7 says because the carnal mind is enmity against god all right hatred towards god for it is not subject to the law of god nor can it ever be this is an important scripture my friends and not only to share with your friends that look god's law even in the new testament it says that that to be spiritual is to actually be subject to god's law to be carnally minded is to not be subject to god's law now why did i bring that up what does this have to do with with your personal sin because when we're dealing with sin sin is according to first john 3 4 is the transgression of the law it's the breaking of god's law it is the instruction manual of god and by the way the the law of god is genesis to revelation okay it's all of the instructions that god gives both in the front of the book and the back of the book as i like to call it and when we have a carnal mind all right then we cannot love people which means that we're breaking the greatest commandment we can't love god and we can't love people because our carnal mind is angry and frustrated at people because of their sin that is not how we're supposed to operate we're supposed to look at our sin and deal with our sin because i can tell you right now i ain't got time to look at other people's sin i got enough in my own life that i'm trying to deal with right and if god comes back right now i want to make sure i'm dealing with my sin because i don't get to be the accuser on judgment day and go he did this to me no that's not how it works all right so how do we deal with our personal sin we're going to talk about that but right now probably james 5 16 is one of the best scriptures that i could think of of how do we deal with our sin it says this therefore confess your sins to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed the prayer of a righteous person has great power as it's working the the james 5 here james is saying when we confess our sins to one another by the way another scripture says their great times of refreshing will come from the presence of the lord it's through confession that we get healed the bible says it's confessing our sins to one another and most of us want to just confess our sins to god right we don't want to confess those personal sins to anybody we want to confess them to god i'm telling you healing comes from getting putting light into the darkness all right we're going to talk more about all of this this is just all introduction okay i'm just kidding it's not just introduction all right number three most popular way that the strong man has access to your life is through trauma joel chapter 2 verse 25 says this read it with me it says so i will restore to you the years that the swarming locusts have eaten the crawling locust the consuming locus and the chewing locust my great army which i sent among you okay so we see here that in joel he says man i'm going to give you uh a hundred percent back what the locusts have eaten i'm going to restore the years the locusts have taken from you but there's something that god requires for him to do that all right and i'm going to share with you what that is here in just a moment so we've discovered let's back up we've discovered here real quickly before we we get to the solution which is what we're going to talk about right now we've discovered that if we are in bondage the three the three components that bring bondage is evil powers people and our past inside of that of those we discovered that the strong man comes in through three ways through generational sin through personal sin and through trauma okay and i have discovered in my own counseling that really one of the most powerful influences uh in our lives is not our personal sin believe it or not it's the traumas that happen along the way so right now i'm going to describe to you what happens when there is a trauma in your life because most of our sin that we do in the present believe it or not if you trace that fruit back to the leaf back to the twig back to the branch back to the root you will discover that that root is rooted in a trauma something happened to you whether you were rejected uh whether you had some sort of bad experience were molested someone said something mean to you whatever it is uh someone died those traumas are what's feeding because they weren't dealt with the current problem that's that's keeping you in bondage so i want to share with you what the a physical picture that i like to give to help people understand what happens at a moment of trauma at birth metaphorically god gives you a satellite in this satellite it is it is uh always uh bent at an angle to receive from the creator perfect truth all the time you are loved uh you are appreciated you are valued that i came to give you life and life more abundantly before you were formed i i loved you i have great plans for you says the lord all these great amazing promises and truths of the bible truths from yahweh himself i should say are because we have our satellite in the proper direction of his heavenly sky if you will when a trauma happens the reason why satan loves to send traumas is because it wobbles the satellite it disturbs our world it introduces a second thought okay so look at this as the tree of of life the tree of life will always bring forth nothing but truth then the wobble comes then the serpent comes here comes the trauma and the frequency changes and you start believing something else and it's because the satellite got repositioned to receive from a different frequency when the frequency starts coming in from a different source the picture becomes less clear over here and it becomes like white noise white noise white noise now it's full snow and you can't see the picture and the frequency comes back on and now you're tuned into a different channel and everything that you see now is from this lens it's from this frequency whereas the same moment in time the picture looks completely different over here now that the frequency and the the channel has been changed you didn't even know it uh because it's in this process where you know the picture kind of gets shaky and then it goes to snow and you think it's the same channel it's not this is how life changes this is how our present is so miserable sometimes this is where struggles come from this is where addictions come from and what i'm going to share with you is probably so simple of how we're going to get out of this because i don't want you to just say oh that was a good teaching i want you to be free and delivered from whatever is going on in your life and there's only one tactic that the enemy uses to make sure that you're bound at your hands by evil powers at your waist by people and at your ankle by your past it's one single word and one strategy alone that he uses and his number one strategy is guess what it is if god's frequency is the truth his frequency is a lie say it with me a lie that's right so every sin every frustration every anger that you have towards people is connected to a lie and that is how we're going to remove the trauma remove the sin kill the addiction and remove the powers that have power over you is by removing the lie because that's how satan started it all we started this ver this entire journey in genesis in the garden with the serpent and what did he do he introduced a new frequency and that frequency was a uh was a uh another statement that ended up being a lie let's look at it one more time satan in genesis chapter 3 satan's trick is to make you doubt that god can be trusted let's read it together it says now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the lord god had made and he said to the woman has god indeed said you shall not eat of every tree of the garden and the woman said to the serpent we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden god has said you shall not eat for excuse me you shall not eat it nor shall you touch it lest you die now listen verse 4 then the serpent said to the woman you will not surely die for god knows in the day that you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you'll be like god knowing good from evil so there's two things that happen here there was a pl a lie that was putting put into play there was a second frequency and then he used their natural desire to want to please god to get them to swallow the lie and this is so amazing how many times does he use our natural desires of wanting to be loved that causes us to fall into fornication or whatever it might our sin or that is easily besetting us might be whatever addiction or whatever uh issue that we have it comes from our own natural desires that he uses to get us to a place where we will believe a lie and the lie here is that god didn't mean what he said and so what i want to encourage you to do is i'm going to show you how to be set free are you ready i said are you ready are you ready to be set free i'm going to give you what i do in personal uh training and life coaching and ministry counseling how to be delivered based on the information that i'm sharing with you and the number one thing is the lie so what i have people do and this is what i'm going to ask you to do is you're going to write down every you're going to get out a piece of paper or your notebook or your ipad a computer whatever you're going to write down have three categories one is going to be generational sin every single sin that you can think of from your past from your parents uh to your grandparents you're going to write it all down every single one of them everything that you possibly could think of because by the way did you know that there are sacrifices that the patriarchs made and there were prayers that were made asking god to forgive their forefathers of their sin have you ever done that have you ever interceded for people that you've never met for your super great grandfather or your grandfather or your father have you ever interceded for their sin like you were yeshua getting on the cross because that's how our bible reads that's what yeshua said to do is to intercede for them ask for god to forgive them of their sins so you're gonna write all of their their sins down number two uh is the category of personal sin you're gonna write down every personal sin that besets you every struggle that you deal with and anything the holy spirit else brings to your mind whatever else he brings to your mind write it all down number three most important is to write down those traumas uh every trauma that you can think of of your past that you most of them will be immediate i mean you know what they are but i have dealt with people that that could not i had one lady come into my office she had 11 pages of of generational sins and sins and traumas and it was in hours and hours going through things and we could not figure there was nothing that was triggering her uh that these traumas that were causing these sins of of the of the present until we decide to pray and we went outside of time and we prayed and asked the father to reveal to us what these what was it that was binding her what was the strong man moment and as we prayed that she immediately started bawling because she saw vision when she was three years old she was at a farmhouse and her uncle had molested her while her brother sat and watched and so it was that moment and she didn't even remember it she had suppressed it for 40 years and at that moment the father showed us what that moment was what that trauma was and we were able to deal with it so write down all of those traumas now the key to deliverance is recognizing two things one that you can be delivered and two that you can go outside of time with god and reverse that situation as if it never happened you can do that because you have the living christ that's inside of you he is outside of time so your spirit man is not bound to your flesh it's not bound to the carnal mind will and emotions and so we're going to utilize the spiritual realm that yahweh allows us to utilize and through christ who strengthens us we're going to go outside of time back to those moments and we're going to find out what the lie is and then we're going to replace it with the truth and so how you deal with this first on a generational level and by the way this is all by faith and this is not going to be complicated this is literally just operating in faith when you operate in faith things are simple there's no complication i don't need to write a 300 page book on how to be delivered it's as simple as having it is is these three things following the protocols i'm going to give you and then simply believe that that god has done it it's already done on the cross all we're going to do is agree with him that this has already been taken care of so as far as generational sins go that is simply asking the father to forgive and then calling upon ezekiel chapter 18 19 and 20 and calling out that promise that those sins of your fathers and forefathers will not and cannot have influence over you because you're choosing to obey god's statutes all right so that's the key you have to be obedient to his statutes to claim ezekiel so you're going to claim the promise that their sins will not affect you and by faith you ask the father to forgive them their sin i don't even care if they're alive okay because that's what the scriptures do these patriarchs are free asking for forgiveness for those that went before them okay so that's what you're going to do with generational sin it's very simple process you can do that and it breaks that bloodline by forgiving the sin and and casting it away believing in the promise of god that those sins cannot affect you okay then we move on to personal sense the personal sins you simply go one by one and you ask the father to forgive you and you ask him what is the root of these addictions or the root of these problems the root of these issues that keep stemming from what are you asking the father for clarity illumination so that you can deal with the root issue what we don't want to do is just keep asking forgiveness every time uh we curse right want to find out why are you cursing where to begin with like where are those words coming from out of the heart the mouth speaks so where is it coming from that's what we want to deal with and ask the father to show you and as you begin to enter into these meditative and deep intimate moments which can be incredibly emotional you might even want to have a girlfriend with you or a friend with you to pray with you um i'd definitely encourage a pastor or a counselor if at all possible to draw this out and to be able to work this with you but it's important that you work through these things regardless of whether even if it's just you and god okay then we're going to move on to trauma which is where we're going to camp out for a few minutes here and we're almost finished trauma is what is really holding us that is really your feet you can bind up uh your your waist and your arms but if your feet are unbound you can go you can still go a long ways but when we're dealing with the trauma in our lives it it totally uh uh restricts us and binds us like a straw man a strong man inside of a dungeon cell joel chapter two tells us that that god can absolutely give back with the locusts of eden and so what we're going to do is go back to where the locusts have eaten and we're going to tell them to leave and the way we deal with trauma is we um we go back in time what do i mean by go back in time as you're writing these down we simply we close our eyes we replay that moment in our mind's eye no matter how hard it is remember moses before moses could truly lead the israelites he had to go back and face his past he had to go back to egypt and god did not need moses to talk to pharaoh and tell him hey let my people go he could have just sent plague after plague after plague should it could have sent a writing on hand on his wall right could have sent somebody else could have sent a vision into one of his uh you know right-hand men but he chose to use moses because he wants moses to face his past moses the last time that he was in the palace he killed an egyptian and then fled into the wilderness and he never ever faced that past again so great fear must have gripped moses to know that he had to go back to his past but it was inside of of facing his past it was creating the road for his future it was going back that allowed him to actually go forward and be catapulted into his destiny and that's exactly what we're going to do so you go outside of time and you envision that moment and then here's what you do you say father where is the lie what is the lie because it's not the trauma my friends that changes you it's the lie that you chose to believe through the trauma let me say that again it is not the trauma that changes you it's the lie that you choose to believe through the trauma so all we're going to do is we're going to find out what that lie is and when you know what the lie is okay maybe it's uh you're not beautiful or you're not smart whatever the lie is god will show you what the lie is you write that lie down you write it down and then you ask the father what is the truth and i want you if you can to try to find a scripture verse for that truth so that you can back it up with actual power promise so you find a scripture of of what is the opposite of that line and then i want you to deny that lie outside of time in that moment i don't care if you're three years old and you deny the power or the influence of satan over that satellite in your life you refuse by faith that's how i do it all the time by faith i refuse that this satellite will be moved and by faith i refuse to believe the the enemies lie that i have no value that my mom doesn't love me or my dad doesn't love me or my husband doesn't love me whatever it is whatever that lie is i refuse to believe it in that moment i choose to believe the truth and then you speak the truth out loud in that moment and you close it in yeshua's name by the authority of god invested in me i am set free from this trauma i will love this person i will forgive this person and i will move forward in blessing from this day forward and it's at this moment that you can claim this scripture here let me pull it up again in philippians 3 13 when it says but one thing i do forgetting those things which are behind me and reaching forward for those things with your head you can do that once you face pharaoh so that's how we're going to do that each and every one of those traumas you're going to understand that you're outside of time you're going to go back to that moment you're going to call out that moment for what it is you're going to call out the lie for what it is you're going to write down the lie you're going to find the scripture and the truth and you're going to choose to believe yeshua and when you do that i'm telling you i've seen grown men fall to the ground on their knees and sob like little babies when they realize that this lie that their father told them was the very lie that was preventing them from loving their own children and so i'm going to pass this on to you guys tonight that you are loved you are valued and you are appreciated and but the problem is is that you've believed a lie otherwise and in order to be set free the lies are the clothing that the enemy has put on you oh this shirt here wear this and this will make you feel better it's a lie here where are these pants these undergarments wear these shoes this will do every single piece of clothing in the flesh is a lie it's a lie it's a trauma where you covered over your nakedness and i'll leave you with this quote i read a a book by a rabbi when i was in prison from the 1940s late 1940s 48 and 49 and he made this most amazing statement that impacted me greatly he said in order for a man to be clothed with the glory of god he must first come naked before him and i've learned since then to become naked before god is to de-robe all of the lies it's to unravel the carnal materialistic fabricated lies that the enemy puts before us when we choose when we choose to take off the clothes that the enemy put on us that people put on us that your parents put on us and you willing to be humble before your god like daniel angels are dispatched glory clouds show up healing begins and then and only then will the power of the living god begin to move with you [Music] first for you second and then through you third so father i just pray right now on behalf of everybody that's in the sound of my voice that they will one forgive and ask forgiveness for the generations before them two that they'll be able to intercede for their own sin claim the blood of your son and ask for where the root is coming from what is the lie that they believe is causing them to sin and father three that they would go back in time that they would approach their own pharaohs knowing that you are behind them this time that you gave them a stick of righteousness the cross of messiah and father i pray that outside of time you'll show them what the
